Quick answer: what is the fastest way to farm Set Charms in Diablo 4 Season 15?
Run Kurast Undercity with a Tribute of the Horadrim (it guarantees Charm and Seal drops) and take the Council Coffers War Plans node so a Chest of Talismans spawns after the Fell Council in Infernal Hordes; with Diablo's Splinter of Terror at reputation rank 20 that chest costs only 1 Aether. Then stop hunting individual pieces: keep any spare charm from your set and use the Horadric Cube's Reroll Set Charm recipe (1 Set Charm + 25 Raw Primordial Dust + 50 Infused Horadric Resin) to turn duplicates into the piece you're missing. Recipe costs, War Plans seasonal bonuses.
Set Charms are the reason the Talisman feels either amazing or useless. A class set only does its real work at 2, 3 and 5 pieces, so four random charms from four different sets give you almost nothing, while five pieces of the right set can redefine a build. That's why "I can't get set charms to drop" is one of the most common questions on r/diablo4 this season.
This guide covers how Season 15 set bonuses work, the activities that actually drop Talisman loot, the Cube recipes that finish a set for you, and a farming loop for both fresh characters and Torment 10+ players.

How do Set Charms work in Season 15?
The Talisman holds one Seal in the center and up to six Charms in the outer ring. The Seal decides how many Charm slots open and which set affixes it adds; without a Seal you can't slot Charms at all. Talisman rules.
| Seal rarity | Charm slots | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Magic | 3 | 1 affix |
| Rare | 4 | 1 affix + 1 Seal bonus |
| Legendary | 5 | 1 affix + 2 Seal bonuses |
| Mythic Unique | 6 | Rule-breaking Mythic power |
Magic, Rare and Legendary Seals can also roll an affix that adds an extra Charm slot at the cost of a Seal bonus, so a 6-slot Legendary Seal is possible without a Mythic. Seal table.
Class sets vs generic sets
There are two kinds of Set Charm, and you farm them differently.
- Class sets have 5 pieces and up to 3 bonuses, at 2, 3 and 5 equipped pieces. Each class has five of them, for example Barbarian's Bul-Kathos' Pride or Rogue's Nilfur's Narrow Eye. These are the build-defining ones. Set list.
- Generic sets work for every class and are small: Dark Pact (2 pieces), Mastery (2), Slaughter (3), Survival (3) and Practiced Technique (3).
Every class set uses the same five piece names: Phoba, Fer, Mlor, Linta and Berú of that set. The tooltip lists all five and greys out the ones you're missing, so you always know exactly which piece to target.
Does the Seal change how many pieces you need?
Usually no, but one Mythic does. Seal of the Diamond Mind reduces the number of Charms needed for every set bonus by 1 (to a minimum of 2). That turns a 4-charm cluster into a full 5-piece bonus and leaves room for a second set's 3-piece bonus on just two charms. Mythic Seals only drop on high Torment tiers, so treat this as the endgame upgrade, not the plan. Mythic Seal effects.
Where do Set Charms drop in Diablo 4 Season 15?
Charms are loot only. They aren't quest rewards and no merchant sells them, so every piece comes from activity drops or the Cube. Unlock and drop rules. Here is how the main sources compare:
| Source | What makes it good for Set Charms | Best Splinter |
|---|---|---|
| Kurast Undercity + Tribute of the Horadrim | Guaranteed Charm and Seal drops in the run | Destruction (Baal) |
| Infernal Hordes, Fell Council | Chest of Talismans via the Council Coffers node | Terror (Diablo) |
| War Plans | Talisman rewards across chained activities | Any; match the activity |
| Lair Bosses | Players report heaps of set pieces and Seals | Destruction (Baal) |
| Tree of Whispers | Talisman cache turn-ins; all three Splinters boost it | Any |
| Season Ranks | Caches include Talisman Charms and Seals | n/a |
1. Kurast Undercity with a Tribute of the Horadrim
This is the most reliable targeted source. Starting an Undercity run with a Tribute of the Horadrim guarantees Charm and Seal drops; a Lesser version can be crafted at the Occultist, while higher tiers come from World Bosses and War Plans completions and pay out more. Tribute behaviour. Forgetting the Tribute is the single biggest Charm-farming mistake, because an untributed run leaves most of the Talisman loot on the table.
Baal's Splinter of Destruction modifies the Undercity and Lair Bosses, so it pairs naturally with this route. Our Prime Evil Splinter guide covers the trade-offs of switching.
2. Infernal Hordes and the Chest of Talismans
Class-set pieces drop "among other places, at the Fallen Council in the Infernal Hordes," per D4Guides; the in-game name is the Fell Council. The key is the Council Coffers node in the Infernal Hordes War Plan: it makes a Chest of Talismans spawn when you defeat the Fell Council or Bartuc. Node effect. With Diablo's Splinter of Terror at reputation rank 20, Season 15's seasonal bonus on that node drops the chest's price to a flat 1 Aether, which turns every Hordes run into a near-free Talisman roll. Council Coffers seasonal bonus. Before rank 20, spend Aether on that chest rather than the gear or gold chests whenever a set piece is the goal.
Hordes are also where groups shine: D4Guides' rule of thumb is to "play Nightmare Escalations solo, and switch to Infernal Hordes and Bartuc in a group."
3. War Plans, Lair Bosses and Whispers
War Plans chain up to five endgame activities and pay out a consolidated War Chest, and some boards roll Talisman rewards on completion. Since Season 15 your War Plans reputation is shared across alts in the same Seasonal/Hardcore/SSF partition, so an alt can start farming with your main's nodes already unlocked. Shared War Plans. Our War Plans reputation guide lists every tier.
Lair Bosses are the best boss source: r/diablo4 players such as u/FloRhyan report bosses dropping set pieces and Seals in bulk, and Baal's Splinter of Destruction modifies the same activity. If you're short on keys, see the boss and key options below.
How do you finish a set without farming every piece?
You don't need perfect drops. You need any five charms from the right set and a few spares, then the Cube does the rest. The most practical advice in the r/diablo4 "Best way to farm set charms" thread came from u/The_Inflatable_Hour: "If you're having a hard time getting to 5, use the cube and 3 to 1 those you don't need. This is easier to do than finding them in the wild."
The three Cube recipes that matter
| Recipe | Ingredients | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Reroll Set Charm | 1 Set Charm, 25 Raw Primordial Dust, 50 Infused Horadric Resin | A different piece from the same set |
| 3-to-1 Transmutation | 3 Talisman items of the same type | 1 random new item of that type (Ancestral if all 3 were Ancestral) |
| Horadric Reroll (new in S15) | Legendary+ Charm or Seal | New base affixes, set bonus kept |
Sources: Fextralife Horadric Cube, Maxroll Talisman.
Reroll Set Charm is the workhorse. A duplicate Fer becomes a Mlor, Linta or whichever piece you lack, and Maxroll puts the chance of each affix on the result becoming a Greater Affix at about 4%, so a reroll can also be an upgrade. That's why you never salvage a spare piece from your own set.
Horadric Reroll fixes bad stats without breaking your set. Blizzard's wording: "Horadric Reroll fully randomizes all base Affixes on Charms and Seals, without touching Set Bonuses or Unique/Mythic charm powers." Use it once your five pieces are in, not before. Blizzard's recipe notes.
Where does all the Infused Horadric Resin come from?
At 50 Resin per reroll, Resin runs out before Dust does. It only comes from salvaging Talisman Charms and Seals; no monster or boss drops it. So every off-set charm is fuel: salvage it unless it's a Unique Charm or a Seal worth selling. Legendary Seals vendor for about 13.4 million gold each, which is far more useful than the Resin they'd give. Our Infused Horadric Resin farm guide has the full math.

What is the best Set Charm farming route?
Fresh character (Torment I to VI)
- Equip any Seal you find, then any Set Charms, even mismatched ones. Low-tier Seals are fine early.
- Turn in Whispers and take Talisman caches where offered. u/Spirited-Mud5449's advice to a stuck new player was blunt: "go up to 6 and run whispers," meaning Torment VI.
- Don't wall yourself on a Season Journey objective. If an objective asks for set charms you don't have yet, u/ang_hell_ic points out: "You can move on to the next chapter without doing all of the items in it. Just beat the chapter dungeon/boss."
- Keep every piece from the one class set your build uses; salvage the rest for Resin.
Torment 10+ loop
- Pick your Splinter for the loop. Terror for Hordes, Destruction for Undercity and Lair Bosses.
- Undercity with a Tribute of the Horadrim until you hold four or five pieces of your set.
- Infernal Hordes with Council Coffers, opening the Chest of Talismans after every Fell Council kill.
- Cube-finish: Reroll Set Charm on duplicates until all five pieces are in.
- Horadric Reroll the weakest base affixes, then chase a Mythic Seal. D4Guides recommends Nightmare Escalations on Torment 10 for Seals: "play the highest tier you can dominate in your sleep."
Set Charms already play a unique drop sound and show a distinct minimap icon since patch 3.0.2, so you won't miss one in a dense pull. Patch 3.0.2 Talisman notes.
If your build can't clear Torment 10 yet, the Torment unlock guide shows what each tier asks for, and the Unique Charms guide covers the other half of your Talisman.

FAQ
What is the best way to farm set charms in Diablo 4 Season 15? Run Kurast Undercity with a Tribute of the Horadrim, which guarantees Charm and Seal drops, and take the Council Coffers War Plans node so a Chest of Talismans spawns after the Fell Council in Infernal Hordes. Then finish the set with the Horadric Cube's Reroll Set Charm recipe instead of waiting for exact drops.
How do I reroll a Set Charm into a different piece? Use Reroll Set Charm in the Horadric Cube with 1 Set Charm, 25 Raw Primordial Dust and 50 Infused Horadric Resin. The result is another charm from the same set, and each affix has about a 4% chance to become a Greater Affix.
How many Set Charms can I equip? Up to six, depending on your Seal: Magic Seals open 3 slots, Rare 4, Legendary 5, and Mythic or extra-slot Legendary Seals 6. A class set needs 5 of those slots for its full bonus.
Do I need all five pieces for a set bonus? No. Class sets give bonuses at 2, 3 and 5 pieces. The Seal of the Diamond Mind lowers each requirement by 1, so 4 pieces trigger the 5-piece bonus.
Should I salvage Set Charms I don't use? Salvage off-set charms for Infused Horadric Resin, which you need for rerolls, but keep every duplicate from your own set as reroll fodder. Sell Legendary Seals you won't use rather than salvaging them, since they vendor for millions of gold.
Do Set Charms drop before Torment? Yes. Talisman items drop once the Talisman is unlocked in the Lord of Hatred campaign, but Undercity Tributes, Hordes chests and boss loot pay out far more on Torment tiers.
