Fortnite Sprite events follow a weekly rhythm in Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override": a Mastery Monday at the start of the week, a New Sprite Day on Thursday update days, and Power Hours on Saturday. Each one changes which Sprites spawn, how fast they level or what you drop in with. With the season ending on 1 November 2026 (Eastern Time, per Epic's Battle Pass page), only a few of these windows are left. Some of them are still the fastest way to finish your collection or max out Sprite Mastery before the reset. This page lists the schedule, the start times in your timezone, what every past event offered, and what we know (and don't know) about the final week.
Quick answer: Fortnite Sprite events run on a fixed weekly pattern. Mastery Mondays run from 9 AM ET Monday to 9 AM ET Tuesday (2x Sprite XP, 2x Sprite Dust, more Legendary/Mythic Sprites, extra Portable Extractors). Power Hours run on Saturdays, 2–4 PM ET and 9–11 PM ET (18:00 and 01:00 UTC), with a boosted Sprite type and a free starting item. New Sprites have dropped on Thursday update days. The next windows are Saturday 24 October (Power Hours expected, not yet announced by Epic as of 23 October) and Monday 26 October (Mastery Monday). The season ends 1 November 2026 (ET).
What are Sprite events in Fortnite?
Sprites are the small collectible companions at the centre of Chapter 7 Season 4. You find one, extract it, equip it, and it gives you a passive power while it levels up. Sprite events are short, scheduled windows where Epic changes the rules around them. Some boost the spawn rate of one Sprite type. Others double your Sprite XP and Sprite Dust, or hand everyone a themed weapon at the start of the match.
Epic announces each window on its Fortnite Communities hub, typically a day or two before it starts. Outlets such as Beebom then collect them into a calendar. By the end of the season the roster is big: 27 Sprites and 162 released variants after update v42.40, according to counts reported by Polygon and IGN's Sprites checklist_-_All_Variants_and_Mastery_Rewards_List). A boosted-spawn window is the easiest way to hunt one specific variant.
There are three recurring event types this season:
| Event | Day | Time (ET) | Time (UTC) | Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mastery Mondays | Monday | 9 AM → 9 AM Tuesday | 13:00 → 13:00 Tuesday | 24 hours |
| New Sprite Day / Update Day | Thursday | 9 AM (reported) | 13:00 | Permanent addition |
| Power Hours | Saturday | 2–4 PM and 9–11 PM | 18:00–20:00 and 01:00–03:00 Sunday | 2 × 2 hours |
UTC times assume US Eastern Daylight Time, which stays in effect until 1 November 2026.
When is the next Fortnite Sprite event?
Here is what's left in Chapter 7 Season 4, as of 23 October 2026:
| Date | Event | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 24 October | Power Hours (2–4 PM ET, 9–11 PM ET) | Expected. Listed by Beebom, but Epic had not posted the event as of 23 October. |
| Monday 26 October | Mastery Monday (9 AM ET → 9 AM ET Tuesday) | Recurring weekly event, has run every Monday this season |
| Thursday 29 October | New Sprite Day | Unlikely. IGN reported no unreleased Sprites left in the game files after v42.40 |
| Saturday 31 October | Last full day of the season | Epic's Battle Pass page says the season ends 1 November 2026, Eastern Time. No event announced |
Epic has posted a Power Hours event for every Saturday in October so far: 3 October, 10 October and 17 October. The 24 October session is the pattern, not a promise. We'll update this page when Epic posts the details, which has typically happened on the Thursday or Friday before.
What happens during Mastery Mondays?
Mastery Mondays are the best event of the week if you are behind on Sprite Mastery. Epic's official description is:
"Every Monday from 9 AM ET through 9 AM ET the next day, upgrade your Sprite roster." (Epic Games, Fortnite Communities)
Epic's standing Mastery Mondays post lists four bonuses for the 24-hour window:
- Legendary and Mythic Sprites appear more often.
- Sprites level up twice as fast (2x Sprite XP).
- 2x Sprite Dust from extractions. You spend Sprite Dust to summon Sprites you've already extracted, or to upgrade their powers and loot.
- Extra Portable Extractors, so you can extract your equipped Sprite from anywhere on the Island instead of running to an extraction point.
Beebom's weekly logs add that extra Cheat Codes have been available to enter during Mastery Mondays. Treat that as an outlet observation, not part of Epic's listed perks.
Mastery Monday start time in your timezone (26 October): 6 AM PT · 9 AM ET · 1 PM GMT (UK clocks go back on 25 October) · 2 PM CET · 10 PM JST · midnight AEDT (into Tuesday 27 October). It ends exactly 24 hours later.
The final page of Sprite Mastery rewards went live with v42.40, so Mastery Monday on 26 October is the last full 24-hour double-XP window to finish it before the season ends. That page includes the Quack Sprites and a new style for the Pixel Polli outfit.
What happens during Power Hours?
Power Hours are two short Saturday windows built around one theme. Since Fortnitemares started they have all followed the same structure:
- A boosted Sprite type. One Sprite or variant appears much more often.
- A free starting item. Everyone drops in with the same themed weapon or item.
- Better chest drops. In Epic's words, "1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors may drop from Chests."
The timing is fixed. Epic's 17 October post puts round 1 at 2 PM ET (6 PM UTC) and the "Second round starts at 9 PM ET" (1 AM UTC on Sunday). Each round normally lasts two hours. The 26 September Birthday edition was the exception, with three-hour rounds.
Power Hours times in your timezone (Saturday 24 October, if it runs):
| Region | Round 1 | Round 2 |
|---|---|---|
| US West (PDT) | 11 AM–1 PM | 6–8 PM |
| US East (EDT) | 2–4 PM | 9–11 PM |
| Brazil (BRT) | 3–5 PM | 10 PM–midnight |
| UK | 7–9 PM (BST) | 1–3 AM Sunday (GMT) |
| Central Europe | 8–10 PM (CEST) | 2–4 AM Sunday (CET) |
| Japan (JST) | 3–5 AM Sunday | 10 AM–noon Sunday |
| Australia East (AEDT) | 5–7 AM Sunday | noon–2 PM Sunday |
UK and EU clocks go back at 01:00 UTC on Sunday 25 October, the same moment round 2 starts. That's why round 2 shows winter time (GMT/CET) for UK and Central Europe players.

What did the last update add for Sprites?
The v42.40 update on 15 October was the last big Sprite drop of Override. According to Epic's v42.40 update notes, it added:
- Honey Sprite (the Design A Sprite winner): "Chance to spawn bees at the hit location upon dealing damage with a ranged weapon."
- One Wish Willow Sprite: "Extract enemies' equipped Sprites upon elimination and push nearby enemies away when damaged. You'll be marked on the map if you remove it, so be careful!" Our One Wish Willow Sprite guide covers every variant.
- The final page of Sprite Mastery rewards, including Quack Sprites, which "boosts every Sprite you're carrying with an extra Sprite XP whenever it gains XP", and a new style for the Pixel Polli outfit.
- An "All Sprite Variants" Loot Hack, which lets you add Sprite variants to your own chest pool. Loot Hacks only change your own chests, not the whole lobby's.
IGN reported_-_All_Variants_and_Mastery_Rewards_List) after v42.40 that no unreleased Sprites remain in the game files. That's why we don't expect another New Sprite Day before the season ends.
How do you get the most out of the last Sprite events?
The final week is about finishing, not starting. Players on r/FortNiteBR are still posting runs where they came out of one match with "6 or 7 sprites" by playing passively and extracting everything they found. Here's how to make that kind of game more likely:
- Save Mastery work for Monday 26 October. Sprites earn twice the Sprite XP that day, so the same playtime gets you roughly twice as far. Equip a Sprite you haven't mastered yet and swap to the next one once it maxes. Our guide to levelling and mastering Sprites fast has the full routine.
- Hunt the boosted Sprite during Power Hours, not other loot. The two-hour windows are short. Land where Sprites spawn, open Rare Chests in Vaults, and extract each one immediately with the Portable Extractors that drop more often.
- Bank Portable Extractors. Extracting on the spot is what lets you leave a match with several Sprites instead of one. Pick up every extractor you see during an event.
- Turn on the "All Sprite Variants" Loot Hack. It costs Sprite Dust, but it adds variants to your own chests for the rest of the season. Sprite Dust is expected to reset when the season ends anyway (see below).
- Redeem Admin Panel codes. The in-lobby Admin Panel accepts Epic-issued codes for XP, Sprites, Sprite Dust and Gizmos. Ranked has to be off to redeem them. These codes never give V-Bucks. Any site offering "free V-Bucks codes" is a scam.
What happens to Sprite events when Override ends?
Epic's Battle Pass page says Chapter 7 Season 4 "Ends November 1, 2026 Eastern Time." Some guides list 31 October instead; we go with Epic's date. Dataminers expect a short mini-season to start around 1 November, with Chapter 8 rumoured for late November or early December. Epic has not confirmed either.
What we know from last season's change, which Epic described in its official "New Generation of Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 4: Override" post:
- Sprites you collected stayed in your Sprite Garden, on the Collection page and as styles. They only left Battle Royale matches.
- Gizmos and Sprite Dust reset. Epic wrote that "your Gizmos and Sprite Dust will reset when the season ends" for the Season 3 to Season 4 change. Assume the same on 1 November, but Epic hasn't confirmed it for this season.
- Sprites may come back. Epic: "Sprites from past generations may return down the line…"
Whether Sprites continue into the mini-season is not confirmed. A September datamine reported by Techtroduce suggested they do, with more variants, but that's a leak. If the Monday and Saturday events continue after 1 November, we'll keep this page updated rather than starting a new one.
