Quick answer: A Vehicle Warehouse is GTA Online's Import/Export business. You need an Executive Office first (from GTA$1,000,000), then a warehouse costs GTA$1,500,000 – GTA$2,850,000. Sourcing cars is free (you only pay repairs, capped at GTA$34,000), and every undamaged export to the Specialist Dealer nets a base GTA$80,000 for a Top Range car, GTA$50,000 for Mid Range and GTA$30,000 for Standard. Buy the cheapest one (La Mesa, GTA$1,500,000) because every warehouse pays exactly the same, then bank all 10 Standard and all 10 Mid Range cars so every future source is a Top Range car. Solo, that is roughly GTA$160,000 an hour once the warehouse is stocked (our estimate, before repairs).
Import/Export has been in GTA Online since December 2016 and still gets ignored by players chasing newer businesses, which is a mistake. It needs no supply purchases, it can't be raided, and every single export can be done alone in an Invite Only session. This guide covers every buyer payout, the warehouse prices, the stocking trick that turns every source mission into a GTA$80,000 car, and the honest hourly rate.
What is a Vehicle Warehouse in GTA Online?
A Vehicle Warehouse stores up to 40 stolen cars that you source through SecuroServ and sell through the Ad-Hawk Autos website on the warehouse laptop. It was added in the Import/Export update and is the vehicle counterpart of the Special Cargo crate warehouses, according to the GTA Wiki's Vehicle Warehouses page.
The key differences from the crate business:
- You can own only one Vehicle Warehouse (you can own five crate warehouses).
- It cannot be raided by NPCs or players.
- The only running cost is a GTA$50 daily mechanic fee. No supplies, no staff, no product timer.
- Sourcing is free. There is no buy price per car, only the repair bill if the car gets damaged on the way in.
- There are 32 different target models, each in three plate/colour variants, split into 12 Top Range, 10 Mid Range and 10 Standard Range cars (GTA Wiki, Vehicle Cargo).
The warehouse also has an underground garage for the Special Vehicles used in Special Vehicle Work. Every fourth car you warehouse unlocks one of those eight missions, so storing 32 cars unlocks all of them.
How much does a Vehicle Warehouse cost?
There are nine Vehicle Warehouses, all in the south and east of Los Santos. Prices below are the standard SecuroServ prices (gtaboss.gg, cross-checked against the GTA Wiki):
| Warehouse | Price (GTA$) |
|---|---|
| La Mesa | 1,500,000 |
| El Burro Heights | 1,635,000 |
| Elysian Island | 1,950,000 |
| LSIA (West) | 2,170,000 |
| LSIA (East) | 2,300,000 |
| Davis | 2,495,000 |
| Cypress Flats | 2,675,000 |
| La Puerta | 2,735,000 |
| Murrieta Heights | 2,850,000 |
The Basic interior is included. Urban costs GTA$230,000 and Branded GTA$295,000. They are purely cosmetic, so skip them.
Total entry cost from zero: the cheapest Executive Office (Maze Bank West, GTA$1,000,000) plus La Mesa (GTA$1,500,000) = GTA$2,500,000. At GTA$80,000 per Top Range export, that pays for itself in about 32 cars (an idealised figure, before repairs and fees).
Vehicle Warehouses do go on sale, and occasionally free. From March 12 to April 1, 2026, Rockstar gave the LSIA Vehicle Warehouse away for free during the Community Series Showcase. In the Rockstar Newswire's words: "Give your roster of vehicles room to breathe and get into the Import/Export business by claiming the LSIA Vehicle Warehouse, free through April 1." Before that, the warehouses were last discounted 30% on June 5–11, 2025, and have been 50% off at their deepest (most recently November 2023, per gtaboss.gg's discount log). There is no Import/Export discount, freebie or bonus in the current October 29 – November 4 Halloween week, so if you buy now you pay full price. If you claimed the free LSIA warehouse in March, you already own one, so skip straight to sourcing.
How do you start Import/Export?
- Buy an Executive Office from the Dynasty 8 Executive website and register as a CEO.
- Buy a Vehicle Warehouse from the SecuroServ computer in your office.
- On the same computer, open Vehicle Cargo and press Source Vehicle.
- Steal the marked car and drive or airlift it to your warehouse.
- Sell from the Ad-Hawk Autos site on the warehouse laptop whenever you want.
The terminal's own pitch, as written by Rockstar in-game, is blunt about it: "Welcome to SecuroServ's real-time database of vulnerable high-end vehicles across San Andreas. Hit the 'Source Vehicle' button to instantly pinpoint the location of your next golden opportunity." (transcribed on the GTA Wiki)
How do source missions work, and what do they cost?
Each source mission sends you after one car, picked at random from the tiers. The setups vary: a parked car, a car fitted with a bomb that blows if you slow down, an amateur thief with cops on his tail, a party where you have to take the key off a guard, a race you have to win for the pink slip, or a car on a boat that needs an airlift. Difficulty scales with the car's value, per the GTA Wiki mission list.
What it costs you:
- Nothing up front. Sourcing is free.
- A repair bill on delivery if the car is damaged. It is capped at GTA$34,000, and a clean drive costs little or nothing.
- A 2.5-minute cooldown between source missions.
Two things to know before your first run:
- Airlifting is allowed. A Cargobob or the DH-7 Iron Mule can carry the car to the warehouse, which removes most of the damage risk.
- Lobby splits destroy the car. If you end up alone in the session, or a second player joins and leaves mid-delivery, the car catches fire a few seconds later and the mission fails. Run it in a stable Invite Only session.
How much does each car sell for? Every buyer payout
You can sell to three buyers. The Specialist Dealer always nets the most, even after its modification fee (gtaboss.gg; the GTA Wiki gives the same GTA$15,000–GTA$80,000 range):
| Tier | Private Buyer | Showroom (net) | Specialist Dealer (net) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top Range | 40,000 | 70,000 − 10,000 = 60,000 | 100,000 − 20,000 = 80,000 |
| Mid Range | 25,000 | 43,750 − 6,250 = 37,500 | 62,500 − 12,500 = 50,000 |
| Standard Range | 15,000 | 26,250 − 3,750 = 22,500 | 37,500 − 7,500 = 30,000 |
All figures are base GTA$ for a car delivered with no damage. Damage on the sell mission comes off the payout, and any repair bill from sourcing is a separate cost. Exporting in a busier public lobby can add a High Demand bonus on top.
Always pick the Specialist Dealer. The catch is defence: with no rival players around, the game sends pairs of Sultan RS street racers after you, two pairs on a Private Buyer sale, three on Showroom and four on Specialist. Four pairs is manageable in an armoured car or with a careful route, and it is worth GTA$20,000 more per Top Range car than the Showroom.
Sell missions export one car per organisation member, up to four, never more. A solo CEO always sells a single car, which makes every export soloable inside a 15-minute window. After a sale, a sell cooldown of roughly 20 minutes (solo, one car) up to about 50 minutes (four cars) blocks the next export.
Which Top Range cars are worth stealing?
All 12 Top Range cars pay the same GTA$80,000 at the Specialist Dealer, no matter what they cost in the dealership. They are the Z-Type, ETR1, 811, Osiris, Reaper, Mamba, FMJ, Stirling GT, X80 Proto, Tyrus, T20 and Roosevelt Valor. The difficulty of the source mission rises with the car's market value, so an X80 Proto (listed at GTA$2,700,000) is a harder steal than a Z-Type for the exact same money.
What is the guaranteed Top Range trick?
This is the reason Import/Export is still worth it. Sourcing never gives you a duplicate model until you have one of every one of the 32 cars stored (GTA Wiki).
So:
- Source cars normally until you have all 10 Standard and all 10 Mid Range models in the warehouse.
- Never sell those 20 cars. They are your filter.
- From then on, every source mission is one of the 12 Top Range cars, each worth GTA$80,000.
Once you have all 32 distinct models stored, the next source after a sale is always the model you just sold. So the safe loop is: stop sourcing at 32 models, sell a Top Range car, then source its replacement. Sell only Top Range cars and you will only ever be sent for Top Range cars. If you already have duplicate Standard or Mid Range cars, sell those duplicates first so the filter is clean.
The 20 banked cars are not wasted money either. Their value sits in the warehouse and you can still sell them later if you ever want out.
Collections: the bonus layer
There are 10 collections, sets of specific plates and colours that buyers ask for. Completing one lets you sell the whole set with no modification fee, at the same money a Specialist export nets, plus a collection bonus of GTA$20,000 to GTA$50,000, which the game pays to the CEO and to the associates who help deliver it. You need as many organisation members as there are cars in the set, so collections are a crew play, not a solo one.
How much does Import/Export make per hour?
These are our own numbers, worked out from the timings above. Results depend on how clean your drives are.
Solo, Top Range only, Specialist Dealer:
- 1 export (about 10 minutes of driving inside the 15-minute window) = GTA$80,000
- ~20-minute sell cooldown, used to source the replacement car (2.5-minute cooldown between sources)
- That works out to about 2 exports an hour ≈ GTA$160,000/hour, before repair bills and the GTA$50 daily fee, and only after the 20-car filter is built (stocking those first 20 cars takes several hours of sourcing on its own).
With three associates: a four-car export to the Specialist Dealer is GTA$320,000 in one run, but the sell cooldown stretches toward 50 minutes and you need four Top Range cars ready, so sourcing becomes the bottleneck. The rate per hour goes up, but not four times.
How it compares: GTA$160,000/hour solo is below a cooldown-optimised heist route and in line with other CEO businesses. Its edge is no supplies, no raids, no risk to stock you already own. Pair it with a passive business and you have something to do between sell cooldowns. See our GTA Online best businesses ranking and the highest-paying missions per hour for the full comparison.
Which Vehicle Warehouse is best to buy?
Buy La Mesa (GTA$1,500,000). Every warehouse pays exactly the same per car, so the only thing extra money buys you is location. The Wiki notes that pricier warehouses sit in more open areas where a Cargobob is easier to use, while cheaper ones are in tighter streets. La Mesa still sits close to central Los Santos and the freeways, which is what matters for ground deliveries.
Only consider the LSIA or Murrieta Heights warehouses if you plan to airlift every car with a Cargobob or Iron Mule and want open space to drop it. For anyone driving, the GTA$1,350,000 saved over Murrieta Heights is about 17 Top Range exports you don't have to grind back.
Is Import/Export still worth it in 2026?
Yes, if you already own an Executive Office. It is one of the few businesses with no supply purchases, no raids and a base GTA$80,000 per Top Range car, with only a GTA$50 daily fee and repair bills to pay, and the Top Range trick removes the low-value grind. It is a weaker buy if you are starting from nothing: GTA$2.5M at roughly GTA$160K an hour solo is about 16 hours of exports before you are in profit, and that ideal figure comes on top of the time spent building the 20-car filter.
If you would rather skip that payback grind and go straight to the cars and businesses you actually want, that's what we do.

FAQ
Do you need an office to buy a Vehicle Warehouse in GTA Online? Yes. You must own an Executive Office and be registered as a CEO. The cheapest office, Maze Bank West, costs GTA$1,000,000.
What is the best buyer for Import/Export? The Specialist Dealer. It pays GTA$100,000 for a Top Range car minus a GTA$20,000 modification fee, so GTA$80,000 net, against GTA$60,000 at the Showroom and GTA$40,000 from a Private Buyer.
Can you do Import/Export solo? Yes. Sell missions export one car per organisation member, so a solo CEO always sells one car, and both source and sell missions run in Invite Only sessions.
Can a Vehicle Warehouse be raided? No. Unlike Special Cargo crate warehouses, Vehicle Warehouses cannot be raided by NPCs or other players.
How many cars can a Vehicle Warehouse hold? 40. There are 32 different models to source, and the game won't repeat a model until all 32 are stored, which is what makes the Top Range trick work.
Can you own more than one Vehicle Warehouse? No. You can own only one at a time, so buy the cheapest (La Mesa, GTA$1,500,000), since every warehouse pays the same per car.
