How to Get Octavia in Warframe: Octavia's Anthem Quest & Part Drop Locations

TL;DR: You get Octavia in Warframe from four places. The Octavia's Anthem quest gives the main blueprint and the Mandachord. The Chassis is a guaranteed reward from the music puzzle room on Lua. The Neuroptics drop from Rotation C of Terrorem (Survival), Deimos at 22.56%. The Systems drop from the first Resource Cache in Plato (Exterminate), Lua at 22.56%. Expect about 4–5 tries for each of the two random parts. Current for Update 44.1 (Iceblade of Narin: The Icebind), Hotfix 44.1.4.1.

Octavia is one of the strangest farms in Warframe. She isn't tied to a boss. Two of her parts come from side objectives instead of mission rewards, and her main recipe needs a quest item called the Mandachord, not Orokin Cells. That's why the most common follow-up questions are where to get the Octavia Chassis, where the Systems drop, and how hard she is to get.

This guide covers the whole route: the quest, all three part drops with DE's exact rates, how many runs each part takes on average, every crafting resource, and the mistakes that cost players days. All drop rates come from DE's official drop tables, last updated October 22, 2026.

Where do you get Octavia in Warframe?

Octavia came out on March 24, 2017 in Update 20: Octavia's Anthem, along with her quest. The Lotus introduces her with a Shakespeare line: "This is Octavia, the melodic, the maestro. If music be the food of death... play on, Tenno." Here's where every piece comes from:

If you lose a blueprint, Cephalon Simaris sells a spare main blueprint for 50,000 Standing and a spare Mandachord for 25,000 Standing, but only after you've finished the quest. You need both to build a second Octavia, for example to feed one to the Helminth.

How do you start Octavia's Anthem?

The quest unlocks once you've finished The Second Dream. To start it, visit Cephalon Suda in any Relay. She gives you the Mandachord blueprint and the quest begins. It's a solo-only side quest, so you can't bring a squad. Per the official WARFRAME Wiki walkthrough, the steps are:

  • Sao, Neptune (Corpus Outpost, level 29–31): follow a white light with a purple trail to three containers holding the Mandachord Body, Fret and Bridge.
  • Build the Mandachord in the Foundry: 3 Morphics + 5,000 Credits, done in 10 seconds.
  • Stephano, Uranus (Grineer Sealab): find the Hydraulus and add the missing beats to the song.
  • Tycho, Lua: Suda gets taken over by Hunhow. Clear the Sentients guarding the second Hydraulus, then solve it.
  • Taranis, Void: solve the third Hydraulus, then charge two signal amplifiers to 100% while Sentients try to stop you.
  • Talk to Simaris in a Relay and enter Suda's Datascape. Step on the glowing platforms to rebuild the anthem, clear the red "errant" notes, and avoid the sweeping beam across three phases.

Suda gives you the Octavia blueprint when it's done.

Two quest tips worth knowing. First, the wiki warns that "Effects Intensity" in your accessibility settings has to be above 0. If it isn't, the glowing blue symbols you need for the Hydraulus puzzles won't show up. Second, the final mission is a platforming fight. A frame with good air control (Zephyr, Titania, Wukong) or self-healing makes it far less frustrating, and you can crouch under the beam on most rings. If you finished The War Within, your Operator's Void beam helps a lot against the Sentients in steps 4 and 5.

How do you get the Octavia Chassis from the Lua music puzzle?

Lua music puzzle room in Warframe with the five-plate solution order numbered 1 to 5 around the activation console

The Chassis is the only part that isn't random. It comes from Lua's Conservatory (also called the Choir Room), a puzzle room in the Orokin Moon tileset. It's separate from the seven Halls of Ascension and doesn't give a Drift Mod. The wiki's music puzzle page says the crate on top of the central structure is "guaranteed to contain Octavia's Chassis."

How to solve it:

  • Activate the console. Five notes play, lighting up plates on the three ledges.
  • Stand on the plates in the same order they lit up. If you get one wrong, start again from the first note, or hit the console to replay the sequence.
  • The order never changes. In the wiki's words, "While it masquerades as a memory challenge, the sequence always remains the same." Learn the pattern in the screenshot above and you'll solve it every time.
  • The crate on top of the central structure then holds the Chassis. A second crate to the left of the switch, down among the blue "ghosts," can drop a fully built Forma.

Sometimes plates stay lit after the first solve. That means there's a bonus round: press the lit plates one at a time until each goes dark. The wiki says you can get 1 to 3 rewards from the room, with one being the most common.

The catch is finding the room. It's a random tile, not a fixed node, so you may have to run a few Lua missions before it appears. One handy detail: the wiki's reference screenshot (above) was taken in an Exterminate mission with an "Orokin Caches 0/3" counter. Plato is Lua's only Exterminate with caches, so you can roll for the room while you farm the Systems blueprint (next section).

Where do you farm Octavia Systems?

The Systems blueprint drops from Plato, Lua. It's a level 25–30 Exterminate, a permanent Crossfire node where Grineer and Corpus are fighting each other. You need The Second Dream to reach it. Every Plato mission hides three Resource Caches: white-glowing lockers that hum when you're close, sometimes tucked away in hidden rooms.

The order you open them in decides your rewards. Per the wiki's Mission Rewards page, the first cache draws from Rotation A, the second from B, and the third from C. DE's table for Plato caches:

CacheNotable rewards (DE drop table)
Rotation A (1st cache)Octavia Systems Blueprint 22.56%, 400 Endo, 300 Polymer Bundle, 350 Rubedo, 300 Plastids (12.91% each line)
Rotation B (2nd cache)2,500 / 3,000 / 4,000 Credits Cache (25.29% each), 400 Endo
Rotation C (3rd cache)Orokin Cell, Gallium, Neurodes, Tellurium, Argon Crystal (10.82% each), Nitain Extract 1.29%

Farming tip: only the first cache can drop Systems. Find one cache, kill the required enemies and extract. If you have a few minutes spare, grabbing the third cache is a nice bonus: its Orokin Cells and Neurodes both go into Octavia's part recipes. The wiki notes that a cache opened by any squad member rewards the whole squad, so a group finds caches faster.

Where do you farm Octavia Neuroptics?

The Neuroptics drop from Terrorem, Deimos. It's a level 25–35 Infested Survival mission that comes right after the Lephantis node, Magnacidium. Deimos opens once you've cleared War, Mars.

Survival uses an A-A-B-C reward pattern: a reward every 5 minutes, with Rotation C at 20 minutes, 40 minutes, 60 minutes and so on. Terrorem's Rotation C, according to DE:

Rotation C rewardChance
Octavia Neuroptics Blueprint22.56%
Axi S21, D6, V14, C12, C13, A21, A22, P10 Relics9.68% each

So every 20 minutes you survive gives you one Neuroptics roll. You can stay for one C rotation and leave, or settle in for several. Long runs on Rotation A and B also drop Lith and Neo relics, so the time isn't wasted.

How many runs does it take to get Octavia?

Both random parts have the same 22.56% chance per attempt. Here's what that means in practice:

AttemptsChance you have the part
353.6%
572.1%
1092.2%
  • Average: 4.43 attempts per part. Half of players get it within 3, and 90% within 10.
  • Systems (Plato): one attempt = one Plato run where you open at least one cache. These are short Exterminate runs.
  • Neuroptics (Terrorem): one attempt = one 20-minute Rotation C. On average that's about 89 minutes in Survival, or four to five 20-minute runs.
  • Chassis: one music puzzle solve. The only random part is finding the room.

For most players the quest is the longest single step, since it's six missions and can't be skipped. Remember the Foundry time too: the parts take 12 hours to build and the main blueprint 72 hours, so even with all blueprints in hand you're waiting at least 84 hours unless you rush with Platinum.

What resources do you need to build Octavia?

From the wiki's Octavia crafting data: each part costs 15,000 Credits and takes 12 hours (rush: 25 Platinum). The main blueprint costs 25,000 Credits and takes 72 hours (rush: 50 Platinum).

BlueprintResources
Octavia (main)Neuroptics, Chassis, Systems, 1 Mandachord, 25,000 Credits
Neuroptics1,000 Oxium, 4,800 Polymer Bundle, 2,600 Plastids, 5 Neural Sensors
Chassis6,000 Polymer Bundle, 25,000 Salvage, 1,500 Plastids, 3 Neurodes
Systems2,000 Kuva, 3,000 Circuits, 20 Morphics, 5 Orokin Cells
Mandachord (quest)3 Morphics, 5,000 Credits

Totals: 75,000 Credits, 10,800 Polymer Bundle, 4,100 Plastids, 23 Morphics (counting the Mandachord), 2,000 Kuva, 5 Orokin Cells, 25,000 Salvage, 3,000 Circuits, 1,000 Oxium, 5 Neural Sensors and 3 Neurodes.

Two resources catch players out:

  • Kuva (2,000) is on the Systems recipe. Kuva Siphon and Flood missions are the usual source, and DE's tables also list Kuva from Sorties. See our guide on where to farm Kuva.
  • Orokin Cells (5) and Oxium (1,000) are slow to collect if you haven't been stockpiling. Our Orokin Cells farming guide covers the best routes.

The main blueprint uses the Mandachord instead of Orokin Cells. If you sell or use up your Mandachord, you'll need a new one from Simaris before you can build Octavia again.

Can you farm Octavia from The Circuit instead?

Yes. Once you've finished The Duviri Paradox, the wiki's Circuit page lists Octavia as one of three Warframe choices in week 9 of the Normal Circuit's 11-week rotation (alongside Nidus and Harrow). Pick her, and Circuit tier rewards give you:

Circuit tierRewardCumulative progressStages in one run
Tier 2Neuroptics4004
Tier 5Chassis1,1909 (8 with daily bonus)
Tier 8Systems2,43016
Tier 10Main blueprint3,64023

You can claim each tier reward once per week, and the weekly pool resets at Monday 00:00 UTC. Going by the wiki's rotation table, the next Octavia week starts November 9, 2026, but check the in-game Circuit screen to be sure, since it cycles automatically. You still need the quest-only Mandachord to build her, so the Circuit replaces the part farm, not the quest.

Is Octavia worth farming?

Octavia's Mandachord composition screen with percussion, bass and melody tracks tied to Mallet, Resonator and Metronome

Yes, and not only for Mastery Rank. Octavia is a support frame who plays her own music. Her passive restores Energy over time for her and her allies after she casts abilities. Her kit:

  • Mallet: a device that taunts enemies into attacking it and damages enemies nearby.
  • Resonator: a rolling ball that charms enemies into following it and picks up Mallets as it goes.
  • Metronome: buffs you for acting on the beat. Jump for Vivace (Movement Speed), crouch for Nocturne (Invisibility), fire for Opera (Multishot) and melee for Forte (melee damage).
  • Amp: a field that boosts allies' weapon damage and increases the damage and range of Mallet.

Your Mandachord song controls when her abilities pulse, so the song really does affect gameplay. Her base Shields are 180/280 and Energy 175/225 (rank 0/rank 30).

Helminth: Octavia's subsumable ability is Resonator. It's a solid crowd-control pick, and our best Helminth abilities guide explains where it fits. To subsume her and keep your main copy, you'll need a second build, which means a spare main blueprint and a spare Mandachord from Simaris.

Can you get Octavia Prime right now?

Not from new relic drops. According to the wiki's Octavia Prime page, Octavia Prime, Pandero Prime and Tenora Prime entered the Prime Vault on December 14, 2022. DE's October 22 drop tables still list her relics (for example Lith O3, Meso O5 and Axi O5 for the main blueprint), but none of those relics drop from any mission anymore. Relics you already own still work: you can open them in Void Fissure missions as normal, and in a squad you can pick a squadmate's Octavia Prime part from the reward screen.

The current Prime Resurgence on warframe.com is Protea Prime & Ivara Prime (checked October 29, 2026), so you can't get Octavia Prime from Varzia this rotation either. If you have no relics, the other legitimate route is buying the Prime part blueprints or relics from other players for Platinum through the in-game Trading system. Prime blueprints are tradeable. Built Prime parts are not. Our Warframe trading guide covers the MR2 + 2FA requirements and trade tax. Prices change daily, so check the community price reference before you offer, and never buy Platinum or items from third-party sellers. DE's Trading FAQ says those sellers are "not legitimate."

What do players get wrong about the Octavia farm?

  • Buying her from the Market before the quest. The wiki says that if you buy Octavia with Platinum before finishing Octavia's Anthem, the quest gives you a Pistol Riven Mod instead of the blueprint. That's not a loss, just something to know.
  • Opening every Plato cache "for the Systems." Only the first cache (Rotation A) can drop it. Caches two and three roll from different tables.
  • Leaving Terrorem at 15 minutes. The Neuroptics are only in Rotation C. If you extract before 20 minutes, you haven't rolled for them.
  • Treating the music puzzle as a memory test. The sequence is always the same. Learn it once.
  • Selling the Mandachord. It's an ingredient in the main recipe, not just a cosmetic. A replacement costs 25,000 Simaris Standing.
  • Looking for Orokin Cells on the main recipe. Octavia's main blueprint uses the Mandachord instead. The 5 Orokin Cells are on the Systems recipe.

FAQ

How do you get Octavia in Warframe? Finish the Octavia's Anthem quest (unlocked after The Second Dream) for the main blueprint and Mandachord. Then solve the Lua music puzzle for the Chassis, farm Terrorem (Survival, Deimos) Rotation C for the Neuroptics, and open the first Resource Cache in Plato (Exterminate, Lua) for the Systems.

How hard is it to get Octavia? Medium. The quest takes the longest. After that, the Chassis is guaranteed, and Neuroptics and Systems each have a 22.56% chance per attempt, which averages about 4–5 tries each. The Circuit can also give all four blueprints during her rotation week.

Where do I get the Octavia Chassis? From the Conservatory music puzzle room on Lua. Solve the five-note plate sequence (it's the same every time), and the crate on top of the central structure always contains the Octavia Chassis Blueprint. The room is a random tile, so you may need a few Lua runs to find it.

Can you farm Octavia Systems solo? Yes. You only need to find one of Plato's three Resource Caches, because the first cache opened rolls Rotation A, the table with the Systems at 22.56%. In a squad, a cache any member opens rewards everyone, which helps you find one faster.

Do I need to redo Octavia's Anthem to build a second Octavia? No. Once you've finished the quest, Cephalon Simaris sells the Octavia blueprint for 50,000 Standing and the Mandachord for 25,000 Standing. You'll still need another set of parts.

Is Octavia Prime vaulted? Yes. Octavia Prime was vaulted on December 14, 2022, and the current Prime Resurgence (Protea Prime & Ivara Prime) doesn't include her. Relics you already own still open in Void Fissures, and you can also trade with other players for her Prime blueprints or relics through the in-game Trading system.
