How to Get Revenant in Warframe: Mask of the Revenant Quest & Bounty Drop Rates

TL;DR: You get Revenant in Warframe from the Mask of the Revenant quest. Rank The Quills to Observer (Rank 2), buy the mask from Nakak in Cetus for 1 Cetus Wisp, and follow the quest at night on the Plains of Eidolon. The quest gives you the main blueprint. The parts come from Cetus bounties: Systems from the Level 20-40 bounty, Chassis from Level 30-50 (and the Level 40-50 Ghoul bounty), and Neuroptics from Level 40-60 (or Level 100 on the Steel Path). Current for Update 44.1 (Iceblade of Narin: The Icebind), Hotfix 44.1.4.

Revenant is one of the most-asked-about farms in Warframe because the path to him isn't obvious. He's not on a planet node, the quest doesn't show up until you've ranked with a Syndicate most players ignore, and two of his parts need Sentient Cores, which most players farm from Vomvalysts at night. Google's autocomplete for "how to get revenant warframe" shows people stuck at every step: "how to get revenant neuroptics," "how to get mask of revenant quest," "where to get revenant chassis."

This guide covers the whole route: unlocking the quest, every quest stage, DE's exact bounty drop rates, how many bounties each part takes, and every crafting resource. Drop rates come from DE's official drop tables, last updated October 22, 2026.

Where do you get Revenant in Warframe?

Revenant came out on August 24, 2018 in Update 23.5 alongside his quest. The in-game Codex sums him up: "Infused with the essence of the Eidolon, Revenant has strong survivability and deals high damage. Enemies become his thralls." There are four ways to get him:

MethodWhat you getCost
Mask of the Revenant questMain blueprint (once)Quills Rank 2 + 1 Cetus Wisp
Cetus bountiesNeuroptics, Chassis, Systems blueprintsTime on the Plains
The Circuit (after The Duviri Paradox)All four blueprints, in his rotation weekCircuit tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10
In-game MarketBuilt Warframe325 Platinum (wiki Market price)

Extra main blueprints are sold by Cephalon Simaris for 50,000 Standing, but only after you've finished the quest. That's handy if you want a second copy for the Helminth.

How do you unlock the Mask of the Revenant quest?

Nakak's mask stall in Cetus with the Mask? dialogue option that starts the Mask of the Revenant quest

The quest is locked behind The Quills, the Operator Syndicate hidden in the cave behind Konzu's bounty board. You can only work with them after finishing The War Within. Then you need to reach Rank 2: Observer. Per the official WARFRAME Wiki, the rank-ups cost:

Quills rankStanding neededSacrifice
Rank 1: Mote5,00010 Intact Sentient Cores + 30,000 Credits
Rank 2: Observer22,00020 Intact Sentient Cores + 50,000 Credits

You earn Quills Standing by turning in Sentient Cores: 250 per Intact Core, 750 per Exceptional and 1,500 per Flawless. Max-rank Amps can be traded in too. That's a lot of Intact Cores if you only farm Vomvalysts, so if you have a squad, Eidolon hunts are much faster. Our Eidolon hunting guide covers that.

Once you're Observer, talk to Nakak, the mask seller in Cetus, and pick the "Mask?" option. She'll sell you the Mask of the Lost One for 1 Cetus Wisp.

How do you complete Mask of the Revenant?

Every story step happens at night on the Plains of Eidolon. A full Plains cycle is about 150 minutes: 100 minutes of day and 50 minutes of night. Here's the order, from the wiki's quest page:

  • Equip the mask. Put the Mask of the Lost One on your Operator (not the Drifter) as a hood on the Transference suit, and keep the hood closed.
  • First fragment. At night, go to the white waypoint on the southwest side of Gara Toht Lake. You'll see a giant spectral Eidolon sink into the ground. Search the shore as your Operator for a small blotch of energy with a hand reaching out, and interact with it.
  • Build a part. Nakak tells you to talk to Konzu. Run bounties until you get a Revenant component blueprint, then build it.
  • Second fragment. Back at night, the waypoint is on the northeast side of Gara Toht Lake.
  • Build a second part. It must be a different component.
  • Third fragment and boss. The last blotch is on the river between Gara Toht Lake and Renthi Spring. A Revenant Specter spawns. Kill it and it drops the Revenant blueprint.

You don't have to wait for the final Warframe build either. DE's Update 23.6 notes say: "If you have Revenant building in your Foundry, the final stage of The Mask of the Lost One quest will now progress, instead of requiring you to claim the completed Warframe."

Two traps: buying the built frame from the Market also counts as having the parts, but the wiki recommends starting the quest first, because purchases made while the quest isn't active may not count. And progress won't count if you've subsumed Revenant into the Helminth or if you only own Revenant Prime parts.

If the Specter gives you trouble, the wiki's tips are useful: forced Finishers (Ash's Teleport, Excalibur's Radial Blind, Equinox's Rest & Rage in Night Form) kill it instantly, and roaming Eidolon Vomvalysts will fight it for you.

What are Revenant's drop rates?

Each part is tied to one bounty tier. The good news: every part shows up in all three bounty rotations (A, B and C), which change every 150-minute cycle, so you never have to wait for the right rotation. Here's DE's table:

PartBountyStages 2-3Stage 4 of 5Final stage
SystemsLevel 20-40 Cetus (MR2)9.04-10.47%8.84-10.23%23.19-26.47%
ChassisLevel 30-50 Cetus (MR3)8.70-8.99%8.51-8.79%21.62-22.22%
ChassisLevel 40-50 Ghoul bounty14.04%10.13%16.11%
NeuropticsLevel 40-60 Cetus (MR5)none6.76%10.20%
NeuropticsLevel 100 Steel Path (MR10)none6.76%10.20%

The ranges cover Rotations A, B and C. For Systems, Rotation B is slightly better. The Steel Path bounty uses exactly the same Neuroptics odds as the Level 40-60 bounty, so it isn't a better Neuroptics farm. Run it only if you want the Steel Path's other rewards.

Ghoul bounties only exist during a Ghoul Purge, which shows up every few weeks. On a 5-stage run without bonuses, the Level 40-50 Ghoul bounty gives a Chassis about 44% of the time versus about 41% on the regular Level 30-50 bounty. Many Ghoul bounties have no bonus objectives, though, so a regular bounty with every bonus done (about 54%) is just as good. Use whichever is up.

How many bounties does Revenant take?

We worked out the odds per bounty from DE's rates. Each stage reward is a separate roll. Completing every bonus objective in a bounty gives an extra final-stage roll, which matters a lot:

PartChance per 5-stage bountyWith all bonus objectivesAverage bounties
Systems (20-40)42.5-47.1%55.8-61.1%about 2
Chassis (30-50)40.7-40.8%53.6-53.9%2-2.5
Neuroptics (40-60)16.3%24.8%4 with bonuses, 6 without

These numbers assume a 5-stage bounty. A 4-stage bounty has one fewer roll, so it's a few points worse: for Systems, about 37-41% without bonuses. Neuroptics only drop in the 4th and final stages, so on a 4-stage Level 40-60 bounty you'd need about 10 runs without bonuses.

So Neuroptics is the real grind. Two habits help the most:

  • Always do the bonus objectives in the Level 40-60 bounty. That alone cuts the average from about 6 runs to about 4.
  • Don't double-farm. Neuroptics needs the most Sentient Cores (15), so start collecting cores before your Neuroptics blueprint drops.

Where do you get Sentient Cores for Revenant?

An Eidolon Lure tethered to an Eidolon Vomvalyst on the Plains of Eidolon at night

Revenant needs 25 Intact Sentient Cores to build (15 for Neuroptics, 10 for Chassis). The wiki's Sentient Core page lists the sources:

  • Eidolon Vomvalysts on the Plains at night drop Intact Cores. They're the easiest source and spawn while you're doing night bounties. You don't need Eidolon Lures (pictured) to collect Intact Cores.
  • Battalysts and Conculysts on Lua, and the Murex Sentients in Veil Proxima, also drop Intact Cores.
  • Exceptional Cores come from destroying an Eidolon's Synovia joints, and Flawless Cores come from capturing an Eidolon with Lures.

Remember that Quills ranks also eat cores: 30 Intact Cores for Mote and Observer combined. So, from scratch, you need about 55 Intact Cores just for the quest unlock and the build, plus whatever you turn in for Standing.

What resources do you need to build Revenant?

You'll need 70,000 Credits total, plus:

BlueprintCreditsResourcesBuild time
Revenant (main)25,000Neuroptics, Chassis, Systems + 1 Orokin Cell72 hours (rush 50p)
Neuroptics15,0003 Neural Sensors, 15 Intact Sentient Cores, 6,000 Polymer Bundle, 2,200 Rubedo12 hours (rush 25p)
Chassis15,0003 Morphics, 10 Intact Sentient Cores, 1,500 Rubedo, 50 Iradite12 hours (rush 25p)
Systems15,0003 Control Modules, 3 Cetus Wisps, 8,000 Salvage, 3,000 Polymer Bundle12 hours (rush 25p)

Recipes are from the wiki's Revenant page and its blueprint data. Two Plains-only resources catch people out:

  • Iradite comes from mineral deposits in low-lying parts of the Plains: Twin Horns, Seaside Ruin, Hek's Stiletto, Er-Phryah's Vigil, Renthi Spring and The Seethe. Grab 50 while you're out doing bounties.
  • Cetus Wisps float on the edges of lakes on the Plains, mostly at night; the banks of Gara Toht Lake are the usual spot. They also show up as bounty rewards. You need 4 total: 1 for the mask, 3 for the Systems.

The main blueprint only needs 1 Orokin Cell, which is less than most frames. If you're short anyway, here's where to farm Orokin Cells.

Can you farm Revenant from The Circuit instead?

Yes, if you've finished The Duviri Paradox. Revenant is in the normal Circuit's Warframe rotation (alongside Gara and Khora in his week, per the wiki's Circuit page). If you pick him that week, you get his Neuroptics at tier 2, Chassis at tier 5, Systems at tier 8 and main blueprint at tier 10.

There's a catch that players point out on r/Warframe: the Circuit only gives blueprints, not built parts. You still need all 25 Sentient Cores, the Iradite and the Cetus Wisps. The Circuit just saves you the bounty RNG, especially on Neuroptics. If your Circuit week lines up, it's the most reliable way to get the parts. If not, bounties are faster than waiting weeks for the rotation to come back.

Is Revenant worth farming?

Revenant casting Danse Macabre, firing rotating cyan beams at enemies

Yes, especially as a tanky all-rounder. His kit, from the wiki:

  • Passive: releases a radial Blast when his Shields are fully depleted.
  • Enthrall: turns enemies into thralls that fight for him. When thralls die, they leave damaging pillars that can create more thralls.
  • Mesmer Skin: makes him invulnerable using charges that stun the attackers.
  • Reave: turns him into a wall of energy that drains Shields and Health from enemies.
  • Danse Macabre: he spins and fires rotating energy beams.

He also has a fun bonus on his home turf: he's immune to the Magnetic status you get from touching the Sentient-charged water on the Plains at night. And his signature weapons get extra perks with him: the Phantasma gets 4 extra magazine rounds and the Tatsu gets 4 extra charges.

Is Reave a good Helminth ability?

Reave is the ability Revenant gives to the Helminth. The wiki lists it under healing, shield restore and invulnerability, so it's a mobility-plus-sustain pick for frames that lack both. Remember that subsuming Revenant during the quest blocks your progress, so finish Mask of the Revenant first. Compare Reave against other options in our best Helminth abilities to subsume list, and see how to unlock the Helminth if you haven't yet.

Can you get Revenant Prime right now?

Not from new relic drops. Revenant Prime is vaulted: his relics don't drop from any mission on DE's drop tables as of the October 22, 2026 update. Vaulted Primes come back through Prime Resurgence with Varzia in Maroo's Bazaar. If you already own Revenant Prime relics, you can still open them, and relics can be traded with other players.

You can't trade base Revenant or his blueprints, because non-Prime Warframes aren't tradeable. If you'd rather buy him with Platinum, you can earn Platinum by trading Prime parts and relics through the in-game Trading Post. Our how to make Platinum guide explains how. Only buy Platinum from DE or its authorized retailers. DE's support site calls third-party Platinum sellers "not legitimate," and its EULA bans secondary markets for game currency.

What do players get wrong about the Revenant farm?

  • Looking for the quest in the Codex before ranking up. Nakak only offers the mask once you're Observer with The Quills.
  • Doing quest steps in daylight. The fragments only appear at night.
  • Equipping the mask on the Drifter. It has to be the Operator, with the hood closed.
  • Farming Neuroptics on the Steel Path for better odds. The Level 100 bounty has the same 6.76% / 10.20% rates as Level 40-60.
  • Waiting for a specific rotation. Every Revenant part is in Rotations A, B and C.
  • Subsuming Revenant mid-quest. It stops the quest from progressing.

FAQ

How do I start the Revenant quest in Warframe? Finish The War Within, rank The Quills up to Rank 2 (Observer) by turning in Sentient Cores, then talk to Nakak in Cetus and choose the "Mask?" option. She sells the Mask of the Lost One for 1 Cetus Wisp, which starts Mask of the Revenant.

Where do Revenant Neuroptics drop? From the Level 40-60 Cetus bounty (needs MR5) in the 4th stage (6.76%) and the final stage (10.20%), in all three rotations. The Steel Path Level 100 bounty has the same rates. Complete every bonus objective to get an extra final-stage roll.

How long does it take to get Revenant? Systems and Chassis usually take about two bounties each. Neuroptics averages about 4 Level 40-60 bounties if you complete the bonus objectives and about 6 if you don't. On top of that, add the Quills ranking, 12 hours for each part (you must build two of them during the quest) and the 72-hour main build.

Do I need to build Revenant's parts to finish the quest? Yes. You need to build two different components to move past the second and third quest stages. Buying the built frame from the Market also works, but start the quest first so the purchase counts.

Can you buy Revenant with Platinum? Yes. The Market sells Revenant for 325 Platinum. You can't trade for his parts, because non-Prime Warframes and their blueprints aren't tradeable.

Can I get another Revenant blueprint after the quest? Yes. Cephalon Simaris sells the Revenant main blueprint for 50,000 Standing once you've completed Mask of the Revenant.
