How to Get Uriel in Warframe: Full Farm Route, Drop Rates & Quest Guide

Uriel is Warframe's demonic "Heretic of Xata" frame, added on December 10, 2025 in Update 41: The Old Peace. He is the 63rd unique Warframe, built entirely around three devil summons and a relentless Heat-and-Fire kit — and unlike most frames, you don't farm him from a planet node. His parts live at the bottom of a 21-floor gauntlet called The Descendia. This guide walks the exact unlock path, the real drop rates, the no-grind Maphica buyout, and the prerequisites you need before any of it is reachable.

Quick answer: To get Uriel, finish The Old Peace quest — it rewards his main blueprint and unlocks The Descendia and La Cathédrale. Then get his three component blueprints one of two ways: farm them from Roathe, the final boss on Infernum 21 of The Descendia (each part drops at 12.5%), or buy them outright from Roathe / Marie Leroux in La Cathédrale for Maphica (25 Maphica per component, 75 for the main = 150 total). Build the parts in your Foundry and Uriel is yours — no Platinum required.

Who is Uriel in Warframe?

Uriel is the ice-blue-and-brimstone devil Warframe introduced with The Old Peace on December 10, 2025. In the Codex, Digital Extremes describes him like this:

"To fight as the Heretic of Xata is to have demons at your back. Uriel incinerates foes with searing brimstone, and commands three fiendish summons to do his devil's work." — Warframe in-game Codex, Uriel

Uriel the Heretic of Xata in combat, flanked by his three demonic summons on a circular arena

His entire identity is his Passive: three minions — Catenach (chains enemies so damage is shared across the group), Gulphagor (latches on and stuns, then drops a Health Orb and Energy Orb on the kill), and Vythelas (desecrates corpses into runes that boost Fire Rate and Heat damage on pickup). His four abilities are Infernalis (sets him alight and turns his dodge into a flying spiral drill), Remedium (heals him, cleanses Status Effects, and heals or revives his summons), Demonium (hurls the souls of his minions to apply Damage Vulnerability), and Brimstone (unleashes a massive Heat field — a "domain of Hell").

Lore-wise, Uriel was a Sentient-bound horror on the Tau moon of Perita, released by the Operator during The Old Peace. That lore matters mechanically, because almost every step of his farm is gated behind that quest.

What you need before you can farm Uriel

Uriel is not an early-game frame. The whole acquisition chain sits behind the Tau questline, so check these prerequisites first:

  • Complete The Lotus Eaters — this is the hard prerequisite to even start The Old Peace.
  • Complete The Old Peace — the Update 41 main quest. Finishing it grants Uriel's main blueprint and, critically, unlocks access to The Descendia and La Cathédrale (through the Sanctum Anatomica).
  • Have the Sanctum Anatomica / Albrecht's Laboratories reached, since The Old Peace continues the Entrati/Tau arc and sends you to the Sanctum to progress.

There is a shortcut worth knowing: from the Dark Refractory on your Navigation console you can preview The Descendia after completing The Teacher quest, without finishing The Old Peace. But DE spells out the catch — preview players cannot public matchmake until Mastery Rank 10, have spoiler content hidden, and do not get the vendors or quest rewards (including Uriel's main blueprint). For actually farming Uriel, do the quest properly.

How to get Uriel's main blueprint

The main blueprint is the easy half: it's a guaranteed, one-time reward for completing The Old Peace. Alongside it the quest hands you 75 Lyroic Bridge, 75 Ren Hypercore, and 75 Ascaris Prime, plus access to the two new areas. You will never have to farm the main blueprint — once the quest is done, it's in your inventory.

The grind is entirely in the three component blueprints: Neuroptics, Chassis, and Systems.

Where to farm Uriel's parts: The Descendia

The Descendia is a weekly rogue-lite "tower of Hell" accessed from the Dark Refractory sub-section of your Navigation console. The core facts you need:

  • It is 21 floors, each called an Infernum. You must clear each Infernum's randomized challenge before the next opens.
  • The 7th, 14th, and 21st Infernums are checkpoints — you can exit from them without losing rewards and return later from that point.
  • No self-revive. If you die, you're out until the next floor is reached, and if the 1-minute Inactivity Penalty triggers you can lose reward eligibility. Bring survivability.
  • Challenges, blessings, progress, and rewards reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC. You can keep running it after you've exhausted a week's rewards, but the fresh reward pool is weekly.

Uriel's component blueprints come from Roathe, the final boss waiting at the bottom of the tower on Infernum 21.

Roathe's Infernum 21 drop table

When you beat Roathe on floor 21, he rolls a single drop from this eight-item pool, each at an equal 12.5% chance:

Drop (Roathe, Infernum 21)Chance
Uriel Neuroptics Blueprint12.5%
Uriel Chassis Blueprint12.5%
Uriel Systems Blueprint12.5%
Vinquibus Barrel Blueprint12.5%
Vinquibus Blade Blueprint12.5%
Vinquibus Receiver Blueprint12.5%
Vinquibus Stock Blueprint12.5%
Vinquibus (weapon) Blueprint12.5%

That shared pool is why the farm feels rough: only three of the eight possible drops are Uriel parts, so on any given Infernum-21 clear you have roughly a 37.5% chance of getting a Uriel component — and then it still might be a duplicate of one you already own. Because full clears reset weekly, the pure-RNG route can stretch across several weeks. That is exactly where the second method earns its keep.

The no-RNG route: buy the parts with Maphica

If you'd rather not gamble on Roathe, you can buy Uriel's blueprints directly from Roathe in La Cathédrale (Sanctum Anatomica) using the rare resource Maphica:

  • Each component blueprint costs 25 Maphica.
  • The main blueprint costs 75 Maphica (useful only if you somehow skipped the quest reward).
  • A full Uriel set is 150 Maphica.

Maphica is a rare drop from Storage Containers inside The Descendia — and importantly, its drops are not boosted by Resource Boosters or the Loyal/Resourceful Retriever precept mods, so there's no shortcut there. You can also buy 10 Maphica per day from Marie Leroux in La Cathédrale in exchange for Agnovidisc, Laudavi, and/or Servoris, but that purchase is limited to one per day. In practice, the fastest path for most players is a hybrid: run The Descendia for its weekly rewards, scoop every Storage Container for Maphica, and buy out whichever Uriel part refuses to drop.

How to build Uriel

Once you have the main blueprint and all three components, Uriel's crafting materials come from The Perita Rebellion (the sibling Tau game mode unlocked on the same questline). Craft the three components in the Foundry, then slot them into the main blueprint to build Uriel himself — the standard Warframe Foundry flow (components first, then the frame).

A build-order tip: because the component blueprints are the bottleneck, start building each part the moment it drops rather than waiting for the full set. There's no reason to let a finished Neuroptics sit idle while you chase Systems.

Should you buy Uriel with Platinum instead?

You can, but think it through. Uriel's blueprints are not tradeable — only built, unaltered Prime/Wraith/Vandal-type gear trades between players, and Uriel is a standard (non-Prime) frame. So the only "buy" option is purchasing Uriel from the in-game Market with Platinum, which skips the farm entirely but costs real-money-equivalent Platinum.

If you want to earn that Platinum legitimately rather than buying it, Warframe's economy gives you plenty of room: sell Prime parts for Orokin Ducats to Baro Ki'Teer, flip Prime sets, or trade Riven Mods — all player-to-player through the in-game Trading Post in a Clan Dojo or Maroo's Bazaar (Mastery Rank 2 and TennoGuard 2FA required). A quick safety note that matters here: Digital Extremes' EULA and support team explicitly call third-party Platinum sellers "not legitimate" and ban secondary markets, so stick to in-game earning and official purchases — never a discount-Platinum site.

Is Uriel worth the farm?

Short version: yes, if you enjoy a summon-and-sustain playstyle. Uriel is a self-sufficient Heat bruiser — Remedium keeps him and his minions alive, Catenach turns single-target damage into a chain-reaction, and Brimstone delivers area Heat pressure. He's genuinely strong in endgame content when built around his summons rather than treated as a generic nuke frame, and because his parts cost zero Platinum via the Maphica route, the only real price is Descendia runs.

Just don't expect a two-hour farm. Between the quest gate, the weekly reset, and the 12.5% shared drop pool, Uriel is a project frame — most players complete him over one to three weekly Descendia cycles, buying out the stubborn part with Maphica at the end.

FAQ

How do you get Uriel in Warframe? Complete The Old Peace quest (which requires finishing The Lotus Eaters first) to earn Uriel's main blueprint and unlock The Descendia. Then get his three component blueprints — Neuroptics, Chassis, and Systems — either by beating the boss Roathe on Infernum 21 of The Descendia (12.5% each) or by buying them from Roathe in La Cathédrale for 25 Maphica per part. Build the components in the Foundry and assemble the frame.

What quest unlocks Uriel? The Old Peace, the Update 41 main quest from December 2025. Its hard prerequisite is The Lotus Eaters. Completing The Old Peace grants Uriel's main blueprint and opens both The Descendia and La Cathédrale (via the Sanctum Anatomica).

What are Uriel's drop rates in The Descendia? Roathe on Infernum 21 drops from an eight-item pool at 12.5% each. Three of those eight are Uriel's component blueprints (the other five are Vinquibus parts), so each Infernum-21 clear has about a 37.5% chance to award a Uriel component — and it may be a duplicate.

Can you buy Uriel's parts without RNG? Yes. Buy his blueprints from Roathe or Marie Leroux in La Cathédrale with Maphica — 25 per component, 75 for the main, 150 for a full set. Maphica drops from Storage Containers in The Descendia (not boostable) and Marie Leroux sells 10 per day in trade for other Tau resources.

Is Uriel tradeable for Platinum? No. His blueprints and parts are not tradeable — only built, unaltered Prime/Wraith/Vandal gear trades between players. The only non-farm option is buying Uriel directly from the in-game Market with Platinum.

What Mastery Rank do you need for Uriel? There's no MR gate on the farm itself if you complete The Old Peace normally. The only MR wall appears if you use the Dark Refractory preview to skip the quest — preview players can't public matchmake until Mastery Rank 10 and don't receive the vendors or quest rewards.
