Most Mortal Kombat Mobile tier lists on page one, PocketGamer's included, were last updated for Update 7.3 or earlier. Update 7.4 added two Diamonds, Diamond MK1 Noob Saibot and Diamond Assassin Mileena, buffed two Assassins and made seven more Gold fighters ascendable. This tier list covers the current game: which Diamonds sit at the top, where the two new fighters land, which Golds are worth your fusion and ascension materials, and where the main tier lists disagree.
Quick answer (checked October 28, 2026, Update 7.4): The top Diamond tier is led by American Treasure Homelander, MK11 Frost, Darkest Knight Noob Saibot and the new MK1 Noob Saibot, followed by MK11 Liu Kang, MK11 Scorpion, Klassic Liu Kang, Klassic Rain and Klassic Raiden. Assassin Mileena starts in A tier. She's strong, but she wants Outworld and Assassin teammates. The best Golds are Klassic Scorpion, Onslaught Jax, Lizard Baraka, Lizard Jade and the Kombat Cup pair (Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade). 7.4 made 4 Golds Stage I ascendable and 3 Stage II ascendable, so Covert Ops Cassie Cage, Lizard Noob Saibot and Klassic Noob Saibot are better investments than they were a month ago. Tiers compare fighters within the same rarity at equal investment. Your fusion level, equipment and team synergy still decide the fight.
How is this MK Mobile tier list ranked?
We started from the two lists players actually use, then checked each one against Update 7.4.
- MK Mobile Base publishes the most current list. Its Diamond tier list is marked "Updated: October 2026, Game version: 7.4" and already includes MK1 Noob Saibot and Assassin Mileena. Its method combines "recent community discussions with character abilities, overall performance, versatility, team utility and survivability across Towers, Krypt and Survivor."
- PocketGamer's Mortal Kombat Mobile tier list was last updated October 3, 2026 for Version 7.3.0, so it has neither 7.4 Diamond. Its S tier holds more than 40 Diamonds, which is too broad to help you choose.
- Every passive described below was checked on the fighter's card page, and every 7.4 change against WB's official Update 7.4 patch notes.
Our S and A tiers follow MK Mobile Base's 7.4 order, because of the lists we checked it's the only one already updated for 7.4. Where PocketGamer or players on r/mkxmobile disagree, we say so in the "disputed picks" section instead of hiding it. Each tier compares a fighter only against cards of the same rarity. A Fusion X Gold can beat a Fusion 0 Diamond, and that isn't what a tier list measures.

Why these S-tier Diamonds sit at the top
Each of these wins fights on its own and also makes its teammates better:
- American Treasure Homelander. Everyone except his randomly chosen "Archenemy" deals 50% less damage to him. Each KO gives him a Dominance stack worth +25% Attack, or two stacks for the Archenemy. His "Parental Figure" teammate gets +15% Speed, +25% Power Gen and +50% Debuff Resistance.
- MK11 Frost. Every 15 seconds she charges a Time Freeze Pulse that slows time for 6 seconds and builds Kinetics stacks, which detonate for extra damage. MK11 teammates get a chance to freeze on combo enders. Triborg and Spec Ops teammates get +15% speed and +25% crit chance.
- Darkest Knight Noob Saibot. On tag-in and on a Fatal Blow he infects the opponent with Madness for 9 seconds. Madness raises the damage they take and lowers the damage they deal. If the victim is KO'd or doesn't tag out before Madness ends, Noob makes a Minion clone of them. The Minion has a 50% unblockable chance, and attacks against it have a 50% chance to miss.
- MK11 Liu Kang. His Special Attacks have a 35% unblockable chance. Each hit adds a Concussion stack (up to 50), and each stack adds 1% crit and unblockable chance against that opponent. For 15 seconds after tag-in, MK11 teammates are immune to Blind and their attacks can't be dodged.
- MK11 Scorpion. He sets 3 opponents on Fire for 9 seconds at the start of the match and every time he tags in. MK11 teammates get a 25% Lethal Blow chance on basic attacks, which is why he anchors almost every MK11 team.
- Klassic Raiden. Every time he tags in, lightning removes 40% of the active opponent's current health and 66% of their power. He also counts as Outworld and Martial Artist, so he fits more synergy teams than his tag suggests.
- Klassic Rain. He gains +15% Power generation for each unique lasting debuff applied by him or a teammate, stacking 7 times. Debuffs that Klassic teammates put on a Soaked enemy have a 75% chance to become Team debuffs.
- Klassic Liu Kang heals from Fire and is immune to Bleed, Poison and Power Drain. MK2 Movie Kitana drains a bar of power every 12 seconds, and her Piercing Fans stop buffs and tag-outs. Strike Force Scorpion tags in to save a teammate who would be KO'd. Circle of Shadow Nightwolf's Tomahawk stops the impaled opponent from healing. Injustice 2 Raiden's combo enders and specials hit tagged-out opponents for 20%. Strike Force Johnny Cage gains up to +100% damage as he loses health. The Joker picks one of three card decks every time he enters a fight.
Where does MK1 Noob Saibot rank in MK Mobile 7.4?
MK1 Noob Saibot debuts in S tier. WB's 7.4 notes describe him like this: "It traps enemies inside a Void Rift and prevents them from tagging out. He can temporarily disable Equipment on his active enemy with his exclusive kombat effect, Desecration. Even death can't stop him! When defeated, Noob explodes, dealing damage to all opponents."
His card adds the numbers. On tag-in he applies Power Drain and opens a 20-second Void Rift. While the Rift is up, his Magic hits build Void Essence, which powers up his Special Attacks. Debuffs applied to him have a 60% chance to be consumed and turned into power and more Void Essence. If the opponent tries to tag out, he pulls them back through a portal. That combination of no escape, debuff resistance and a death explosion is why he's at the top of the list.
Players don't agree on how much he's worth at Fusion 0. A thread posted this week asks: "Where would I legitimately be able to use MK1 Noob with 0 fusions?" (u/FamiliarCold1, r/mkxmobile, October 28, 2026). The honest answer is that his passive works at any fusion, but his stats and Special damage scale with fusion and level like every other Diamond. Duplicates are hard to get. One player who cleared the Tower of Khaos eight times reported "8th completion, 1 copy of Noob, 7 fusion ups" (u/Jordan211, October 27). WB's patch notes give no drop rate, so don't plan your roster around a certain number of copies.
MK1 Noob Saibot also has his own Summon pack, so check the Store for current offers. Beyond that, the 7.4 notes list two ways to get him:
- A chance from the final battle of the Tower of Khaos. Our Tower of Khaos guide covers the bosses and gear.
- Completing the Season of Shadows Premium Pass, which unlocks him. The Premium+ Pass also gives him, plus exclusive early access to Assassin Mileena.
Is Assassin Mileena worth it in MK Mobile?
Yes, on the right team. She starts in A tier, not S. At the start of the match and on every tag-in she marks one opponent as her Target and forces them to tag in. The Target loses 20% Power generation and can't use tag-in attacks. Hits on the Target build Bloodlust, up to 20 stacks at +3% unblockable chance each on Basic Attacks. Her Extra Attack deals a share of all the damage your team has done to every opponent, capped at 300% of her Attack, and stuns at max Bloodlust. Her team passive gives all Outworld fighters +15% damage on Magic and Bleed attacks.
She's built for a team, and 7.4 built that team for her. WB buffed two existing Assassins in the same patch:
- Assassin Kitana got minor Attack and Toughness increases and a 50% chance to reflect a debuff while the opponent has an active Bleed. Her synergy now gives all Assassin characters 20% unblockable chance and 30% more Power.
- Assassin Skarlet got a minor Health increase. When she steals power from a bleeding opponent, she now shares it. WB's example: "If she steals 90 Power, each Assassin teammate gains 30."
Assassin Kitana and Assassin Skarlet still sit low on MK Mobile Base's list on their own (D and B). Together the three are a Bleed and power-steal team built around Mileena. WB says Assassin Mileena "will headline the new Season of Assassins starting on November 11", and completing that Premium Pass adds her to your collection. The Premium+ tier of the current Season of Shadows pass includes exclusive early access to her.
What are the best Gold fighters in MK Mobile?
Gold fighters carry most accounts through Challenges, Battle Mode and early towers. Weekly Challenges reward Gold fighters, not Diamonds, so this is the roster most players can actually fuse to X.
| Tier | Gold fighters (Update 7.4) |
|---|---|
| S | Klassic Scorpion, Onslaught Jax Briggs, Lizard Baraka, Lizard Jade, Kombat Cup Johnny Cage, Kombat Cup Sonya Blade, Klassic Smoke, Klassic Shang Tsung, Klassic Mileena, Covert Ops Cassie Cage, Lizard Noob Saibot |
| A | Pyromancer Tanya, Hanzo Hasashi Scorpion, Kosplay Jacqui Briggs, Onslaught Sub-Zero, Onslaught Fujin, Aftershock Tremor, Klassic Jade, Klassic Sonya Blade, Edenian Blood Sindel, Edenian Blood Kitana, Edenian Blood Rain, the four Triborgs (Sub-Zero, Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor), Warlock Quan Chi, Klassic Ermac, Klassic Kabal, Klassic Nightwolf, Klassic Skarlet |

Source: MK Mobile Base Gold tier list (game version 7.4). C, D and F tiers are skipped here. Those are lower-priority or niche Golds, not team cores.
The S-tier Golds each bring one effect that changes how a fight goes:
- Klassic Scorpion. Landing his Spear at 80% or better makes it unblockable, pulls the most wounded enemy into the fight and causes Bleed.
- Onslaught Jax Briggs. He builds up to 30 Heat stacks (+1% attack and +2% debuff resistance each). At full Heat he can heal any teammate, himself included, for 15% of max Health and Shield Break the opponent.
- Lizard Baraka. The active opponent heals 25% less for each Lizard on your team, and Outworld teammates get +25% crit chance.
- Lizard Jade. Every debuff your team lands gives Team Thrill (up to 5 stacks), which makes her attacks splash damage onto all opponents.
- Kombat Cup Johnny Cage. He gives +15% attack, health, toughness and recovery to every Kombat Cup teammate. Kombat Cup Sonya Blade makes the team stun-immune and locks the first opponent out of the fight (bosses are immune). Together they're the classic Gold team for Challenges.
- Covert Ops Cassie Cage. Spec Ops teammates get a 25% unblockable chance.
- Lizard Noob Saibot. After he KOs an opponent he can revive a teammate at 20% HP, once for each Lizard on the team.
Which Gold fighters should you ascend after 7.4?
7.4 opened ascension to seven more Golds. According to the patch notes, Stage I promotes the fighter for "increased stats and unlock Brutality access". Stage II "Characters of any rank can be used in Elder Survivor and Khaotic Krypt", and at max ascension they unlock a fourth equipment slot and their Friendship with the right equipment set.
| Ascension | Golds added in Update 7.4 | Tier (Gold list) |
|---|---|---|
| Stage I | Covert Ops Cassie Cage, Klassic Jade, Klassic Kano, Lizard Noob Saibot | S, A, B, S |
| Stage II | Klassic Noob Saibot, Dark Raiden, Edenian Blood Sindel | B, B, A |
Our priority order:
- Lizard Noob Saibot and Covert Ops Cassie Cage. Both are already S tier, and Stage I makes them sturdier.
- Edenian Blood Sindel. She's the strongest of the Stage II batch, and Stage II lets her into Elder Survivor and Khaotic Krypt.
- Dark Raiden and Klassic Noob Saibot. Ascend them only if you need more fighters for Elder Survivor or Khaotic Krypt. As Golds they're B tier.
If you farm the Krypt for fusion and ascension materials, read our Krypt guide first. 7.4 changed where Fusion Ups drop and added an Upgrades tab to the Krypt Store.
Which MK Mobile tier list picks are disputed?
The two main lists disagree in a few places:
- Nightmare Ghostface, MK1 Sub-Zero, MK1 Geras and MK1 Kenshi. PocketGamer's 7.3 list puts all four in S. MK Mobile Base's 7.4 list has MK1 Sub-Zero in A and the other three in B. They're strong in their own synergy teams, but they're less self-sufficient than the S-tier fighters above.
- MK11 Liu Kang. PocketGamer has him in A, MK Mobile Base in S. MK Mobile Base's placement fits how much MK11 teams use his anti-dodge and anti-Blind team passive.
- Circle of Shadow Kitana. S tier at PocketGamer, D at MK Mobile Base. Count her as a team piece, not a carry.
- Ravenous Mileena. S tier at PocketGamer, A at MK Mobile Base, and players keep using her for tough tower fights. Her Tarkatan tag-in attack stuns 100% of the time, and her team deals 100% more damage with Fire, Poison and Bleed effects. One player's advice from this week: "Guys if anyone struggling with battles like 38,39,47 should use ravenous mileena and scorpion. These fools will get melted to hell" (u/Fragrant-Device-6117, October 27, 2026).
In general, a team of three synergy fighters beats three S-tier fighters that don't work together. MK Mobile Base notes that players "recommend building a team around character synergies rather than combining three strong cards without a shared plan." In tower runs, the modifier on each battle matters more than the tier. Check it before you lock in a team, as we explain in our Tower of Horror and Nightmare Tower guide.
How should you use this tier list to build your roster?
- Fuse for synergy, not for a letter. If your best Diamonds are MK11, put fusion into MK11 Scorpion and MK11 Liu Kang before you chase a lone S-tier fighter you own at Fusion 0.
- Use Golds where Golds are required. Challenges reward Gold fighters and many Challenge towers require specific teams, so a Fusion X Kombat Cup team or Lizard team is worth more to most accounts than an unfused Diamond.
- Don't count on drops. Tower final rewards and Krypt drops are random. Plan around fighters you already own and treat a new Diamond as a bonus.
- Check the date on any tier list. A list without MK1 Noob Saibot and Assassin Mileena is out of date for 7.4. We'll update this page in place when the next update changes the rankings.

FAQ
Who is the best character in MK Mobile right now? In Update 7.4 the top of the Diamond list is American Treasure Homelander, MK11 Frost, Darkest Knight Noob Saibot and MK1 Noob Saibot. "Best" still depends on your team. Homelander and Klassic Raiden fit almost any lineup, while MK11 Scorpion and MK11 Liu Kang are strongest alongside other MK11 fighters.
Is MK1 Noob Saibot good at Fusion 0? He's usable, because his Void Rift, tag-out prevention, debuff resistance and death explosion all work at any fusion. His stats and Special Attack damage grow with fusion and level, so a Fusion 0 copy is a strong fourth or fifth Diamond rather than an instant carry.
Where does Assassin Mileena rank? A tier. She forces her Target to tag in, cuts its power generation by 20% and builds up to 60% unblockable chance through Bloodlust. She's at her best with the 7.4-buffed Assassin Kitana and Assassin Skarlet, or with other Outworld fighters.
What are the best Gold characters in MK Mobile? Klassic Scorpion, Onslaught Jax Briggs, Lizard Baraka, Lizard Jade, Kombat Cup Johnny Cage and Kombat Cup Sonya Blade top the 7.4 Gold list, with Klassic Smoke, Klassic Shang Tsung, Klassic Mileena, Covert Ops Cassie Cage and Lizard Noob Saibot also in S.
Which Gold characters can be ascended in 7.4? 7.4 added Covert Ops Cassie Cage, Klassic Jade, Klassic Kano and Lizard Noob Saibot to Stage I, and Klassic Noob Saibot, Dark Raiden and Edenian Blood Sindel to Stage II. Stage II fighters of any rank can enter Elder Survivor and Khaotic Krypt.
How often does this MK Mobile tier list change? Mostly with each major update, about every three months in 2026: 7.1 in January, 7.2 in March, 7.3 in July and 7.4 in October. This page is updated in place when new fighters or buffs move the rankings.
