Quick answer (28 October 2026, Patch 2.2.16a, Season 42 "Starward Decade"): the best Beatrix build for the gold lane is Swift Boots, Blade of Despair, Hunter Strike, Haas's Claws, Sea Halberd and Malefic Gun (11,930 gold, mlbbhub's default ranked build). Run the Assassin emblem with Rupture, Weapon Master and Quantum Charge, take Flicker, and carry Renner + Bennett for lane or Bennett + Nibiru for teamfights. The thing most older guides miss is Patch 2.1.67 (22 April 2026). It gave her passive Spell Vamp equal to 100% of her Lifesteal and doubled the Spell Vamp ratio on Wesker's ultimate from 50% to 100%. Every Lifesteal item now heals her skills too.
Beatrix is four marksmen in one hero. She carries two of four guns at a time, swaps between them with Skill 1, and calls in a fresh pair when she's out of combat. Two posts on r/MobileLegendsGame in the last day were about her. One asked for tips. The other showed a pure-damage build deleting a Natan in one burst, and the replies were split on whether it was any good. This guide answers both: what changed, which three builds work, the emblem, the weapon pairs, the combos and the heroes who beat her.
What changed for Beatrix in Season 42?
In the ranked game, nothing. Patch 2.2.16, the Season 42 launch patch on 16 September 2026, left her ranked kit alone, and so did the live hotfix 2.2.16a (14 October 2026) (mlbbhub, Patch 2.2.16a). The only Beatrix line in 2.2.16 is in Brawl mode, where she got a new -6% damage modifier based on Brawl win and pick rates (mlbbhub, Patch 2.2.16). Don't let a Brawl nerf convince you she was nerfed in ranked.
The change that matters is older. Patch 2.1.67 (22 April 2026) was part of Moonton's marksman stat pass. Moonton's note, verbatim (mlbbhub, Patch 2.1.67):
"To match the attribute adjustments for Marksmen, we've reduced Beatrix's base Movement Speed, which was significantly higher than that of other Marksmen. For balance, we've also optimized her Ultimate so it can inherit Lifesteal."
Here's what that patch changed (Liquipedia, Patch 2.1.67):
| Stat or skill | Before 2.1.67 | After 2.1.67 |
|---|---|---|
| Movement Speed | 257 | 245 |
| Base HP | 2,280 | 2,380 |
| HP growth | 170 | 160 |
| Base Physical Defense | 20 | 18 |
| Base Physical Attack | 110 | 115 |
| Physical Attack growth | 9.5 | 11 |
| Passive | none | Spell Vamp equal to 100% of Lifesteal |
| Wesker's Elation Spell Vamp ratio | 50% | 100% |
So she lost speed and some early defense, and gained damage scaling and a way to heal off her skills. The movement speed cut makes it harder for her to walk away from a dive. The Spell Vamp passive is the reason the builds below look the way they do.
How do Beatrix's four weapons work?
Her passive, Mechanical Genius, gives her four guns. Each one swaps in its own basic attack and its own ultimate. Skill 1, Masterful Gunner, lets her hold two at once. It takes 0.5s to swap between them, has a 12s to 7s cooldown by skill level, and passively adds 5 to 30 Physical Attack. Skill 2, Tactical Reposition, is a roll that fully reloads the current gun, on an 8s to 6s cooldown. Her special skill, Need Backup, opens a weapons crate to pick a new pair. It needs 3s out of combat, has a 30s cooldown, and any action or crowd control interrupts the pick (Liquipedia, Beatrix).
| Weapon | Basic attack | Ultimate | Ult cooldown | What it's for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Renner (sniper) | One shot, 365–400% Total PA, first target hit, can be dodged or blocked | Renner's Apathy: 700–1,200 (+280% Total PA) to the first enemy hit, aim up to 8s, cancel to refund 50% of the cooldown | 32/28/24s | Long-range poke and finishing a fleeing target |
| Bennett (grenade launcher) | Area bomb, 230–300% Total PA, slows 40% for 0.5s | Bennett's Rage: 5 bombardments of 580–980 (+225% Total PA), 40% slow each, repeat hits on one target drop to 20% | 40/35/30s | Wave clear, zoning, teamfight opener |
| Wesker (shotgun) | 5 shots, 178–220% Total PA each, repeat hits on one target decay to 25% | Wesker's Elation: 350–550 (+155% Total PA) per bullet, repeat hits decay to 25% | 20/16/12s | Close-range burst against divers |
| Nibiru (SMG) | 4 shots, 51–65% Total PA each, inherits part of attack effects | Nibiru's Passion: 10 volleys of 130–210 (+50% Total PA) | 40/35/30s | Sustained damage, cleaning up a won fight |
All ultimate damage is 75% against non-hero units. Two more passive lines change how you itemize. Beatrix cannot crit, and she converts every 1% Crit Chance into 2 Physical Attack. And she gains Spell Vamp equal to 100% of her Lifesteal. Liquipedia lists a 50% Spell Vamp ratio on Renner, Bennett and Nibiru's ultimates and 100% on Wesker's. Skill upgrade order per mlbbhub is ultimate, then Skill 1, then Skill 2.
What is the best Beatrix build in Patch 2.2.16a?
Three builds cover almost every draft. All three come from mlbbhub, whose builds were last reviewed on Patch 2.1.67, the last patch that changed her. Items and the meta have shifted a bit since, so treat them as a starting point and adjust to the draft. Item stats below were checked against 2.2.16a on mlbbhub's item pages.
| Build | Items in order | Emblem and spell | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold Lane Range Burst (default) | Swift Boots, Blade of Despair, Hunter Strike, Haas's Claws, Sea Halberd, Malefic Gun | Assassin: Rupture, Weapon Master, Quantum Charge. Flicker | 11,930 g |
| Attack-Effect DPS | Swift Boots, Demon Hunter Sword, Corrosion Scythe, Golden Staff, Malefic Gun, Wind of Nature | Marksman: Rupture, Weapon Master, Quantum Charge. Flicker | 10,980 g |
| CC-Safe Late Game | Tough Boots, Blade of Despair, Malefic Gun, Haas's Claws, Rose Gold Meteor, Immortality | Assassin: Rupture, Weapon Master, Quantum Charge. Purify | 12,020 g |
Use the default build in most games. It's built around Renner and Bennett, the two guns that hit hardest from range. Here's why each item is there:
- Blade of Despair (3,010 g): +160 Physical Attack. Its passive, Despair, gives +25% Physical Attack for 2s when you damage a non-minion enemy below 50% HP. One Bennett bomb on three half-HP enemies triggers it, so your follow-up shots all land harder.
- Hunter Strike (2,010 g): +80 Physical Attack, 10% cooldown reduction and 15 Physical Penetration. The CDR makes your weapon swap and your roll come back sooner.
- Haas's Claws (2,020 g): +40 Physical Attack, 20% Crit Chance, 15% Attack Speed and 20% Lifesteal. This one does more on Beatrix than on other marksmen. Her passive turns the 20% Crit Chance into 40 Physical Attack, and the 20% Lifesteal into 20% Spell Vamp. Its own crit-triggered attack speed passive does nothing for her, because she can't crit.
- Sea Halberd (2,050 g): +80 Physical Attack, 20% Attack Speed. Lifebane cuts the target's shields and HP regen to 60% for 3s. You need it against Estes, Floryn or any lifesteal fighter.
- Malefic Gun (2,120 g): +40 Physical Attack, 20% Attack Speed, 30% Physical Penetration, and 12% more basic attack range plus 10% Movement Speed for 0.5s on hit. The extra range is what keeps you out of reach in a fight.
Swap Sea Halberd for Wind of Nature when the enemy is physical burst rather than healing. Its active makes you immune to all Physical Damage for 2s on a 90s cooldown, and Beatrix gets the full 2s because her main role is Marksman. It also adds 10% Lifesteal, which her passive turns into Spell Vamp too. Against a Ling, Lancelot or Hayabusa, it's the item that keeps you alive.
On the Reddit build. The "testing a new Beatrix build" post used Sky Piercer, Blade of Despair, Blade of the Heptaseas, Hunter Strike, Malefic Roar and a second Blade of Despair, with the Assassin emblem. One reply called it "a trash build rlly no utility just pure dmg" (r/MobileLegendsGame). That's fair, and the item list shows why. Blade of the Heptaseas's Ambush bonus only works if you've dealt and taken no damage from heroes for 5s (minion and creep damage doesn't reset it). Sky Piercer's execute starts at 4% HP. There's zero Lifesteal, so her Spell Vamp passive does nothing. It one-shots a squishy you catch alone, then has no answer when someone jumps you. Use it for fun in Classic, not to climb.
What is the best emblem for Beatrix?
Assassin emblem with Rupture, Weapon Master and Quantum Charge is mlbbhub's default. Rupture gives 5 Adaptive Penetration. Weapon Master boosts Physical Attack from items, emblems and skills by 8%, which grows with Blade of Despair and with the PA her passive makes from Crit Chance. Quantum Charge makes basic attacks give 30% Movement Speed for 1.5s and heal 75–180 HP (by level), on a short cooldown. That's your kiting tool. Liquipedia lists the cooldown as 8s and mlbbhub as 10s, so we haven't printed one number (mlbbhub, emblems).
The Marksman emblem (+15% Attack Speed, +16 Adaptive Attack, +10% Adaptive Penetration) works better with the Attack-Effect DPS build. You can also swap Quantum Charge for Weakness Finder. It makes a basic attack slow the target by 50% and cut its attack speed by 30% for 1s, on a 10s cooldown that drops by 1s per basic attack, down to 3s. If you take Fatal, it isn't wasted. Its 5% Crit Chance becomes 10 Physical Attack on Beatrix, though its 5% crit damage does nothing.
Battle spell: Flicker in almost every game. Take Purify with the CC-Safe build when the enemy draft is stacked with stuns and knock-ups, like Khufra or Atlas. Getting locked down mid-swap is how most Beatrix players die.
Which two weapons should Beatrix carry?
Pick the pair for the next fight, not the last one. You can only change it with Need Backup, and that needs 3s out of combat.
| Situation | Primary | Secondary | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Laning phase | Bennett | Renner | Bennett's area bomb clears waves and slows. Renner pokes from range and finishes anyone who walks away low. |
| Teamfights (official combo) | Bennett | Nibiru | Open with Bennett's Rage, swap, then fire Nibiru's Passion. Finish with basics and your roll. |
| Enemy has Saber, Kaja or a diving assassin | Any | Wesker | Wesker's ultimate and five-shot basic do the most damage in the short window before they lock you down. |
| Enemy backline can't move much (Layla, Luo Yi, Popol and Kupa) | Renner | Bennett | Renner's Apathy reliably hits targets with no dash. |
The teamfight combo comes from the official in-game hero guide, mirrored on mlbbhub: "During a teamfight, Beatrix can use Bennett's Ultimate to strike the enemy team. Then she can use her 1st Skill to switch to Nibiru, and cast Nibiru's Ultimate to attack the enemy." One caution: Nibiru's ultimate is a channeled volley, so hard crowd control cancels it. Fire it into a fight that's already going your way, not to start one.
Renner tip: aim Renner's Apathy at someone who's already slowed by a Bennett bomb and below half HP. That triggers Blade of Despair, and a slowed target is much harder for them to dodge out of. If the shot isn't there, cancel it early to get 50% of the cooldown back.
How do you play Beatrix in the gold lane?
- Early levels: poke with Bennett. Its bombs clear the wave fastest. Walk in for a couple of shots and back out. Save Tactical Reposition (8s cooldown at first) for getting out, or use it right after emptying your gun, because the roll also reloads it.
- Level 4: hold the ultimate. Wait until the enemy marksman has used their escape and is near half HP. Firing Bennett's Rage into a full-HP target with a dash ready wastes it.
- Don't swap guns for no reason in lane. The swap takes 0.5s and costs a 12s cooldown early on. Swap when the distance to your target changes, not because you feel like it.
- First two items (Blade of Despair + Hunter Strike) are your power spike. Before that, you can't hurt a tank much. After it, Despair makes every follow-up hit harder on anyone below half HP.
- Teamfights: stand behind your tank and hit whoever drops below 50% first. That's where Despair is active and where Renner's Apathy kills.
Her rank numbers point the same way. On mlbbhub (stats refreshed 27 October 2026) her win rate holds between 49.81% (Mythic) and 51.22% (Mythical Glory+), while her pick rate climbs from 0.27% in Epic to 0.97% in Mythical Glory+. She's played more the higher you go, probably because good Beatrix play depends on the weapon calls covered above.
Who counters Beatrix, and who does she counter?
These are mlbbhub's ranked matchup deltas, in percentage points of win rate, checked 28 October 2026. They show a draft edge, not a guaranteed win.
| Beats Beatrix | Edge | Beatrix beats | Edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wanwan | +2.6 | Estes | +5.2 |
| Granger | +2.4 | Hanabi | +3.1 |
| Saber | +2.3 | Belerick | +3.1 |
| Natalia | +2.2 | Barats | +2.6 |
| Chou | +2.1 | Baxia | +2.6 |
| Moskov | +2.1 | Minotaur | +2.5 |
| Selena | +1.6 | Edith | +2.4 |
The pattern is simple. Heroes who can dash onto her or lock her down beat her. Saber's ultimate (a 1.2s knock-up), Natalia's stealth and Chou's kick all catch her during a swap or before she can roll. Slow, tanky heroes lose to her, because Renner and Bennett land every shot on targets that can't dodge. mlbbhub's phase data also has her strongest before 10 minutes and weakest after 16, so play for early fights and objectives.
Best partners: tanks with reliable crowd control. The official hero guide names Khufra and Atlas, because a stunned target can't dodge Renner. Against dive, add a protective support like Angela or Diggie.
Is Beatrix good in Season 42?
She's a solid pick, not a must-ban. Tier B, 50.62% win rate, 0.65% pick and 0.41% ban rate across all ranks on mlbbhub (Patch 2.2.16a, checked 28 October 2026). For comparison, the top gold laners there right now are Obsidia (S, 53.4%) and Bruno (A, 53.3%). If you want a marksman who scales with skill and you're willing to learn the weapon calls, she's worth it. If you want an easy win, our best gold lane heroes for Season 42 list has simpler picks, and the Season 42 tier list shows where she sits against the whole roster.

FAQ
What is the best build for Beatrix in Mobile Legends? For the gold lane on Patch 2.2.16a: Swift Boots, Blade of Despair, Hunter Strike, Haas's Claws, Sea Halberd and Malefic Gun (11,930 gold), with the Assassin emblem (Rupture, Weapon Master, Quantum Charge) and Flicker. Swap Sea Halberd for Wind of Nature against physical burst.
Does Beatrix need crit items? Not for crits, because she can't crit. But every 1% Crit Chance becomes 2 Physical Attack, so Haas's Claws (20% crit = 40 PA, plus 20% Lifesteal) still works well on her. Skip items whose only value is crit damage.
What does Beatrix's lifesteal passive do? Since Patch 2.1.67 (22 April 2026), she gains Spell Vamp equal to 100% of her Lifesteal. Her ultimates heal her too. Wesker's ultimate gets the full Spell Vamp, and the other three get 50%.
Which weapons should Beatrix use? Bennett with Renner for laning, and Bennett with Nibiru for teamfights, which is the official combo. Keep Wesker as your second gun against Saber, Kaja or a diving assassin.
Was Beatrix nerfed in Season 42? Not in ranked. Patch 2.2.16 only gave her a -6% damage modifier in Brawl mode, and 2.2.16a didn't touch her. Her last ranked change was Patch 2.1.67.
Who counters Beatrix? On mlbbhub's ranked data: Wanwan, Granger, Saber, Natalia, Chou, Moskov and Selena. Heroes who can dash onto her or lock her down beat her. Slow tanks like Belerick, Baxia and Minotaur lose to her.
