The Sanctum Island map revamp
Season 42 also rebuilt the main battlefield. Sanctum Island got a visual upgrade across the map, the turrets, the jungle monsters and the Lord. On top of the fresh coat of paint, Moonton added three new battlefield effects tied to the anniversary.
- Revealing Wisps ("Nowhere to Hide"). The map continuously spawns wisps that reveal enemies in your surroundings, making it much harder to get ganked without warning. This is a big deal for solo-queue survivability — the classic "jungler appears from the fog" death gets a counter.
