PoE2 Kalandra's Touch: What It Does, Why It Crashed From Mirror-Tier to a Few Divine & Whether to Buy One (0.5)

PoE2 Kalandra's Touch unique Ring tooltip — 'Reflects your other Ring', with the Mirrored tag

Kalandra's Touch is the "mirror ring" — its only job is to copy whatever ring sits in your other slot, effectively doubling one great ring into two. In Path of Exile 2's early days it was a chase item worth close to a Mirror of Kalandra; in the current 0.5 Runes of Aldur league it has collapsed to roughly 3–6 Divine. That crash isn't a bug — it's the single most interesting thing about the item, and it changes whether you should ever buy one. This guide covers exactly what Kalandra's Touch does, how to get it, what it's worth right now, and the buy-vs-craft math that decides if it belongs in your build.

Quick answer: what is Kalandra's Touch worth in 0.5?

  • Current price (0.5 Runes of Aldur SC): roughly 3–6 Divine — down from near-Mirror of Kalandra value at 0.1 launch. Always price-check live before you buy; unique rings swing week to week.
  • What it does: one mod only — "Reflects your other Ring." It copies every modifier from the ring in your other slot onto itself. Two ring slots, one doubled upgrade.
  • Base item (from the in-game item, via poe2db): unique Ring with a single explicit mod and no implicit. It always comes with the "Mirrored" tag, so — fitting for the item named after Kalandra — you can't craft on or modify it further.
  • How to get it: drops from the general endgame unique pool (much more common since patch 0.2.1), or as a guaranteed fated reward at the end of a high-level Trial of Chaos. Most players just trade for one.
  • Is it worth it? Only when your other ring is genuinely expensive-and-hard-to-replicate. If you can craft a second strong ring for a few Divine, that's usually the better buy this league.

Doubling a great ring means the ring you copy has to be great first. If you're building toward a mirror-tier ring to reflect, keep currency ready: grab PoE2 Divine Orbs, a bulk PoE2 currency top-up, or a Mirror of Kalandra for the real chase.

What does Kalandra's Touch actually do?

Kalandra's Touch has exactly one line of text, and it's the whole item. Straight from the in-game tooltip:

"Reflects your other Ring."

The ring itself also carries a "Mirrored" tag on the tooltip — a nod to its namesake, and a reminder that you can't modify the ring further. When you equip it in one ring slot, it becomes a live copy of whatever ring is in the other slot — every prefix, suffix, implicit, and rolled value. Put a monster ring on the left, slot Kalandra's Touch on the right, and you're now wearing that monster ring twice.

Its flavour text sells the fantasy perfectly:

"Power is a matter of perspective." — Kalandra's Touch, in-game flavour text

That mirror-doubling is genuinely powerful in the right build. The classic use is stat-stacking and any build that scales hard off a single ring's affixes — flat added damage, attributes, resistances, or a specific unique-ring effect. If your best ring gives, say, a huge chunk of flat lightning damage and three capped resistances, Kalandra's Touch hands you a second one for the price of one ring slot instead of two full crafts.

The catch: it doubles the ring, not the item budget

The trap people fall into is treating Kalandra's Touch as free power. It isn't. It removes one of your two ring slots as an independent gearing option — instead of two rings solving two different problems (resistances here, an open suffix there), you get one ring solved twice. That's only a win when a single ring is so strong that having it twice beats having two different good rings. For most builds, two separately-crafted rings cover more of your needs than one doubled one.

How much is Kalandra's Touch worth right now? (0.5)

Short version: a few Divine, not a Mirror. In the 0.5 Runes of Aldur economy it trades in the ~3–6 Divine range on the official trade site, with hundreds listed at any time. Compare that to a Mirror of Kalandra, which trades for thousands of Divine (our Exalted Orb price guide pegs a Mirror at ~4.45 million Exalted, and 1 Divine ≈ 450–680 Exalted depending on the day — so a Mirror is on the order of ~6,000–9,000 Divine). Kalandra's Touch is now roughly a thousand times cheaper than the currency it's named after.

EraKalandra's Touch priceWhy
0.1 launchNear a Mirror of Kalandra (mirror-tier)Ultra-rare drop; unique rings almost never dropped
Post-0.2.1Fell to tens of Divine, then lowerGGG buffed T0/T1 unique drop rates massively
0.5 Runes of Aldur (now)~3–6 DivineCommon on trade, strong cheap crafting competes with it

Because it's cheap and abundant, do not overpay. If someone lists one at 15+ Divine, it will still be there while a dozen 4-Divine copies sell around it. This is a "check the live floor, buy the cheapest clean one" item, not a negotiation.

Why did Kalandra's Touch crash from mirror-tier to a few Divine?

PoE2 trade search showing Kalandra's Touch rings listed for 1 Mirror of Kalandra each during the 0.1 launch economy

At 0.1 launch, Kalandra's Touch listed for ~1 Mirror of Kalandra each — the "exact price" tag on those trade listings. Today the same ring sells for a few Divine.

Three things stacked up, and understanding them tells you whether it'll recover:

1. Patch 0.2.1 rewrote how unique jewellery drops. Before it, an item first rolled its type and only then rolled for unique — because those checks were multiplicative, rings and amulets almost never came out unique. Since 0.2.1, a unique drop pulls straight from the entire unique pool, so rings and amulets appear far more often. Top-tier (T0/T1) uniques that used to be genuinely rare — Kalandra's Touch and Astramentis among them — started "dropping like candy." One community example floating around: Astramentis used to be roughly a 1-in-60,000-Divine-drop rarity before the weighting was fixed. There were reportedly thousands of Kalandra's Touch on the market within a week of the change.

2. Crafting got strong and cheap this league. In 0.5 you can craft a genuinely good ring for a handful of Divine. When a bespoke second ring is that affordable, the reason to buy Kalandra's Touch — "I can't make a second copy of my great ring" — mostly disappears. As players put it: why buy one when you can just craft a second GG ring for the same money?

3. The builds that abused it got nerfed. Kalandra's Touch was at its best for stat-stackers doubling breach/penumbra-style rings loaded with flat added damage. Those archetypes were toned down, and the popular builds that replaced them don't lean on a doubled ring nearly as hard. Less demand, more supply — the price fell to meet reality.

The takeaway: this isn't a temporary dip waiting to bounce. Unless GGG reverses the drop-rate change (unlikely) or a new doubling-focused meta appears, Kalandra's Touch is a cheap utility unique now, and that's fine — it just means you buy it as a tool, not an investment.

How to get Kalandra's Touch in PoE2

You have three realistic paths:

  • Trade for one (recommended). At ~3–6 Divine it's cheaper and faster than farming. Search the official trade site, sort by price, and grab the cheapest clean listing. This is what the vast majority of players do.
  • Find it as a drop. Since 0.2.1, Kalandra's Touch is part of the general endgame unique pool and drops far more freely than it used to — especially from juiced high-tier mapping and mechanics that boost unique quantity. You will not target it, but it shows up.
  • Trial of Chaos fated reward. Completing a high-level Trial of Chaos (level 75+) offers guaranteed fate/reward drops at the end. A full Trial of Chaos run is quick — on the order of ~15 minutes — and its guaranteed unique reward is one of the more reliable ways to see chase rings without pure trade RNG. If you want to farm the mechanic itself, see our Trial of Chaos guide.

Whichever route you pick, remember the ring only matters if you have a strong ring to reflect — the acquisition is the easy part.

Is Kalandra's Touch worth buying? (Buy vs craft)

Here's the honest decision tree for 0.5:

  • Buy it if: your best ring is a genuine chase piece — a perfectly-rolled unique or a high-end craft that would cost you far more than 3–6 Divine to replicate. Doubling a 200-Divine ring for 5 Divine is one of the best value moves in the game.
  • Skip it if: your rings are ordinary rares you could re-craft for a few Divine each. In that case, two different well-rolled rings will cover more of your resistance/attribute/damage needs than one doubled ring. The crafting-cost math usually favours two crafts here.
  • The stat-stacker exception: if your build scales explosively off one ring's flat added damage or attributes, Kalandra's Touch is still a core enabler — that's the archetype it was designed for, nerfs notwithstanding.

Put simply: Kalandra's Touch is a multiplier on your best ring. Cheap to buy, but only worth it when the thing it multiplies is expensive. Build the great ring first; the mirror ring is the last, cheapest piece of the puzzle.

FAQ

What does Kalandra's Touch do in PoE2? It has one mod — "Reflects opposite Ring" — which copies every modifier from the ring in your other ring slot onto itself. Equip a strong ring in one slot and Kalandra's Touch in the other, and you effectively wear that ring twice.

How much is Kalandra's Touch worth in 0.5? Roughly 3–6 Divine in the Runes of Aldur league, with hundreds listed on trade. That's down from near mirror-tier value at 0.1 launch. Always price-check live before buying, since unique-ring prices drift week to week.

Why did Kalandra's Touch get so cheap? Patch 0.2.1 massively increased how often T0/T1 unique jewellery drops (unique drops now pull from the whole pool instead of rolling type-then-unique), strong cheap crafting this league competes with it, and the stat-stacker builds that abused it were nerfed. Supply went up, demand went down.

How do you get Kalandra's Touch? Most players trade for one at a few Divine. It also drops from the general endgame unique pool (much more common post-0.2.1) and can appear as a guaranteed fated reward from a high-level Trial of Chaos (level 75+).

Is Kalandra's Touch worth buying? Only if the ring you'd copy is genuinely expensive or hard to replicate — then doubling it for a few Divine is excellent value. If your rings are cheap rares, two separately-crafted rings usually cover more of your needs than one doubled ring.

Is Kalandra's Touch better than crafting a second ring? This league, often no. Crafting a good ring costs only a few Divine in 0.5, so unless your primary ring is a true chase item, two different crafted rings tend to beat one mirrored one. The exception is dedicated stat-stacking builds.
