It was announced at the Roblox Innovation Awards during RDC 2026 and detailed in Roblox's newsroom on September 16, 2026. It's the third entry in The Hunt series (after The Hunt: First Edition and The Hunt: Mega Edition) and the anniversary edition marking 20 years of Roblox.
The structure is straightforward once you're in it:

In plain terms: to open the next era, you earn the reward from the games in the current one. If you don't care about a specific early UGC item, there are routes to skip ahead — but the default path is chronological, one game's quest at a time. - Each game has its own short quest. You're not beating the whole game — you're completing one event-specific objective inside it.
- Progress carries across sessions. You don't have to finish in one sitting; the hub remembers which eras you've unlocked.
