TL;DR: The Hunt: Roblox 20 has a hidden second layer on top of its 20 main quests: 20 secret quests, unlocked only after you clear all 20 main historical quests and reach Year Infinity. Roblox releases them in four waves of five, every other day starting September 19, 2026 (expected waves: Sept 19, 21, 23, 25). Each secret quest rewards one exclusive virtual item plus one fragment — collect all 20 fragments and the event hub opens a final puzzle. The rarest prize, an exclusive Dominus, goes only to the first 20 players to solve that puzzle. The whole event ends September 28, 2026 at 17:00 UTC, and every secret item and badge becomes unobtainable after that. There are no codes — everything is quest-earned. As of this writing (September 20, 2026) the rules are locked, but not every secret route is publicly solved yet, so treat the secret list as a rolling checklist, not a finished walkthrough.
The Hunt: Roblox 20 is the platform's 20th-anniversary event, and its headline is the timeline of 20 games you play through to earn free UGC. But the part the community is actually racing right now is the secret layer sitting behind Year Infinity — a set of 20 hidden quests scattered across participating games, gated behind clues, paying out fragments toward one of the rarest hats Roblox has ever handed out. This guide breaks down exactly how the secret quests, secret badges, fragments and the final Dominus work, what's confirmed by Roblox versus what's still being discovered live, and how to plan your remaining days before the September 28 cutoff.
If you haven't finished the base event yet, start with our full The Hunt: Roblox 20 — all 20 games, rewards and how to finish it guide first; the secret quests below assume you've already done that.

What are the secret quests in The Hunt: Roblox 20?
The secret quests are a second, hidden objective track that only appears after you complete the main event. Roblox's own event page spells out the structure: "Each secret quest rewards an exclusive virtual item and a fragment. You'll need all 20 fragments to unlock the final puzzle in the event hub." (roblox.com/spotlight/the-hunt-roblox-20)
Here's the full shape of the route:
- 20 main quests first. You clear one quest in each of the 20 historical games on the timeline, from Crossroads (2006) up to the modern era.
- Year Infinity. Finishing the timeline unlocks Year Infinity in the hub — the gateway to the secret layer.
- 20 secret quests. These are hidden objectives in participating games, revealed by clues in the hub. They do not all appear at once.
- Fragments. Every secret quest you complete drops one fragment into a 20-fragment progression track, plus one exclusive virtual item.
- Final puzzle. Once your fragment counter hits 20, return to the hub to open a final challenge.
- The Dominus race. Only the first 20 players to solve the final puzzle receive the exclusive Dominus.
The key mental model: the main quests are the museum tour, and the secret quests are the treasure hunt hidden inside the museum. You cannot start the treasure hunt until the tour is done.
The Hunt Roblox 20 secret quest schedule (all four waves)
The single most important thing to understand is that the secret quests are not dumped in all at once. Roblox is drip-feeding them, which is why "the secret quests" felt half-empty when the community first went looking on September 19.
Five secret quests go live every other day, starting September 19, 2026. If Roblox holds that cadence, the waves land like this:
| Wave | Expected date | New secret quests | Running total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wave 1 | September 19 | 5 | 5 |
| Wave 2 | September 21 | 5 | 10 |
| Wave 3 | September 23 | 5 | 15 |
| Wave 4 | September 25 | 5 | 20 |
Two honest caveats worth knowing before you plan your grind:
- Roblox has not published an exact unlock hour for each wave. Treat the appearance of new clues in your hub — not a midnight rollover in your timezone — as the live signal that a wave is available.
- The final wave lands around September 25, with the event ending September 28 at 17:00 UTC. That is a tight window. If you want any shot at the Dominus race, the realistic plan is to clear each wave as it drops and keep your fragment counter full, rather than waiting for all 20 to release and starting the whole path at once.
What do the secret quests reward?
Every single secret quest gives you exactly two things: one exclusive virtual item (a wearable UGC accessory) and one fragment.
That produces two separate reward pools:
- 20 individual secret UGC items — one per completed secret quest. These are limited-release accessories tied to the event, and like all Hunt rewards, they become unobtainable after September 28.
- A 20-fragment progression track — the fragments themselves aren't cosmetic; they're the key that unlocks the endgame.

How the final puzzle and the Dominus work
Once your fragment total reaches 20, the event hub opens a final puzzle — a last challenge that sits beyond the entire secret route. There is no legitimate shortcut to it: all 20 fragments are required before the hub will even show it, which means you cannot reach it during Wave 1 no matter how fast you are.
The prize attached to that puzzle is the event's rarest reward: an exclusive Dominus. But Roblox adds one more restriction on top of finishing — only the first 20 players to solve the final puzzle receive the Dominus. Everyone who completes the secret route gets the 20 UGC items and the satisfaction of a full fragment track; only the fastest 20 in the world get the hat.
This is why the "clear each wave as it drops" strategy matters so much. The Dominus isn't a completion reward — it's a race, and the players who wait for all four waves before starting have effectively already lost it.

Confirmed secret badges so far (and the ones that aren't real yet)
Several participating games exposed secret badge records in their databases before Roblox published the official rules. These are useful leads — but a badge existing in a game's database does not prove the quest is live or solvable yet. Here are the routes that have lined up a real, reproducible objective with a current event badge as of September 20:
Crossroads Real-estate (the 2006 classic). After Combat Initiation, enter Crossroads and interact with the large real-estate billboard near spawn. The map begins generating extra terrain as you reach its edges; collect four purple gifts across the generated sections, then return to the Hunt hub and enter Blue Mountain to make the separate secret UGC claim. This is the most fully solved secret route right now.
Sword Fights on the Heights IV — "John, Loved of Muses." This is a classic SFOTH IV secret that suddenly matters again. Hidden inside the map is a concealed section holding a trading-card-style image of John Shedletsky (formerly "Telamon") at a computer. Touching that card is the long-established way to earn the old John, Loved of Muses badge inside the original experience.
Piggy — "R20 – Completed House (Secret)." Piggy's hidden badge is now a live, named record: R20 – Completed House (Secret), which asks you to escape Penny's House again. Once the secret phase is active on your account, the relevant map is Book 1, Chapter 1: House.
A tracker note worth repeating: some games show disabled legacy badge records (for example, an older World // Zero "Magma Goo" entry) that are not proof of a live Hunt secret. Only trust a secret route when the current event badge and a reproducible in-game objective actually line up. If your hub shows no new clue for a game yet, the quest isn't playable for you — no matter what a badge database says.

How to unlock and start the secret quests (step by step)
If you want the secret track to actually appear for you, the prerequisites are strict:
- Complete all 20 main historical quests across the timeline games. One quest per game, claimed at the hub.
- Unlock Year Infinity in the event hub. This is what flips the secret layer on.
- Check the hub for active secret clues. Only the currently-released wave's five clues will show.
- Follow the clues to the current secret games. The hub tells you which games are hiding the active secrets.
- Complete the active secrets in any order. You are not forced into a numbered sequence — if a route is already worked out, clear it and leave a harder mystery for later.
- Collect the item and fragment from each. Remember to actually claim — completing an objective doesn't always auto-grant the reward; you often return to the hub to claim it.
- Repeat as later waves unlock (Sept 21, 23, 25).
- Return to the hub with 20 fragments to open the final puzzle — and, if you're fast, the Dominus race.
Are the secret quests worth doing before September 28?
Short answer: yes, if you can commit the time — the UGC and the Dominus are permanently unobtainable after the event. Here's the honest calculus:
- The 20 UGC items are the realistic prize for most players. They're free, limited, and gone forever after September 28. Every secret you clear is one more accessory you'll never be able to get again.
- The Dominus is a lottery of speed, not effort. Only 20 people worldwide get it. Chasing it is only rational if you can be online the moment each wave drops and burn through routes as they're solved.
- Time is the real cost. With Wave 4 landing ~September 25 and the event ending September 28 17:00 UTC, latecomers have a genuinely tight runway. If you haven't cleared the 20 main quests yet, prioritize those first — you can't touch the secrets without them.

FAQ
When do The Hunt: Roblox 20 secret quests go live? The secret path starts on September 19, 2026, with five secret quests releasing every other day. The expected wave dates are September 19, 21, 23 and 25. Roblox has not published an exact hour for each wave, so watch your event hub for new clues rather than assuming a midnight unlock in your timezone.
How many secret quests and fragments are there? There are 20 secret quests in total, released in four waves of five. Each completed secret quest gives one exclusive virtual item and one fragment, for 20 fragments total. Collecting all 20 fragments unlocks the final puzzle in the event hub.
How do you get the Dominus in The Hunt: Roblox 20? You must complete all 20 secret quests, collect all 20 fragments, and then solve the final puzzle in the hub. However, only the first 20 players in the world to solve that puzzle receive the exclusive Dominus — so finishing every secret is necessary for the race but does not guarantee the hat.
Do you need to finish the main quests before the secret quests appear? Yes. The secret quests only unlock after you complete all 20 main historical quests and reach Year Infinity. If you haven't done the base event, the secret clues will not appear in your hub.
Are there codes for The Hunt: Roblox 20? No. This is an official Roblox event where every reward is quest-earned in-game. There are no promo codes for the main quests, the secret quests, the fragments or the Dominus, and nothing in the event costs Robux to unlock.
When does The Hunt: Roblox 20 end? The event ends on September 28, 2026 at 17:00 UTC. After that time, every secret quest, exclusive UGC item, fragment and the Dominus become unobtainable, so any secrets you want must be completed before the cutoff.
