Looting container after container and still not seeing the blueprint you want? Most "blueprints not dropping" complaints come down to one thing: different blueprint categories tend to spawn in different container classes, and the rare and epic recipes show up far more often under a map condition most players never check. This guide breaks down the four real blueprint sources, which container class to actually target, and — importantly — what's changed in-game right now so you don't waste raids on bad advice.

ARC Raiders - Blueprints

Quick answer: why your blueprints aren't dropping
Blueprints come from four sources — scavenging, Trials, quests, and projects — and scavenged blueprints tend to be grouped by container class. As a general rule, Gun Parts blueprints lean toward Raider Containers, while many weapon attachment blueprints (grips, compensators, magazines, stocks) show up in Residential Containers. Rare and epic blueprints are noticeably more common during x2 Major Map Conditions. These are strong tendencies with documented exceptions — not hard locks — so if you're farming one container type exclusively, or ignoring the map condition, you can run a lot of raids for very little.
- Gun Parts blueprints → lean toward Raider Containers (with exceptions)
- Attachment blueprints (grips, mags, stocks, compensators) → commonly Residential Containers
- Explosives → often Industrial Containers
- Medical → often Medical Containers
- Augments → often Security Containers (sometimes Medical)
- Utilities → often Electrical Containers
- Rare / epic of any type → much more common during x2 Major Map Conditions
Spawn data on the community wiki is marked as not fully confirmed, and specific recipes list their own container and condition. Always check the individual blueprint entry before committing a raid to it.
The four ways to get blueprints
A blueprint is a one-time item that unlocks a crafting recipe. You use it by selecting it and choosing "Learn and Consume" back in Speranza — the blueprint is consumed on use, and recipes you already own show a ✓ and can't be consumed again. There are four acquisition paths, and matching the path to your target is what actually cuts the grind.
1. Scavenging (the main source — and where most players go wrong)
Most blueprints come from containers out in the field, and the container class is the biggest factor in what shows up inside. The most common mistake: assuming every blueprint is in one place. In reality the categories are spread out — and attachment blueprints are not the same as Gun Parts blueprints.
| Blueprint category | Typical container class |
|---|---|
| Gun Parts (Light/Medium/Heavy/Complex) | Raider Containers (with exceptions) |
| Weapon attachments (grips, mags, stocks) | Residential Containers |
| Explosives | Industrial Containers |
| Medical | Medical Containers |
| Augments | Security Containers (sometimes Medical) |
| Utilities | Electrical Containers |
Here's the trap a lot of raiders fall into: they want weapon attachments, loot residential areas hard, and then conclude blueprints are broken because the Gun Parts recipe they also wanted never showed up. Those are two different categories. Attachment blueprints do appear in Residential Containers — but Gun Parts blueprints lean toward Raider Containers. Know which one you're actually hunting, then target the right class.
Blueprints can spawn on any map and during any map condition, but some recipes only appear on specific maps or under specific conditions. ARC Surveyors can also drop blueprints, so clearing a Surveyor is worth the risk if you're chasing a particular recipe.
2. x2 Major Map Conditions (the rare/epic edge)
If you specifically want rare and epic blueprints, they're found much more commonly during x2 Major Map Conditions. The source doesn't publish an exact multiplier, but checking the active map condition before you deploy is one of the higher-impact habits for high-tier blueprint farming. Line up your high-value runs with a x2 condition rather than raiding blind.
3. Trials (currently paused — check before you rely on it)
Trials reward random items and blueprints, with each challenge tier paying out once per week. They're a useful supplementary source, but you cannot hand-pick a specific missing recipe from them — the reward pool is random, and the wiki itself flags some scavengable recipes as not currently claimable through Trials.
Important right now: as of October 7, 2026, Trials are paused. Embark's Expedition schedule put Trials on hold after September 22, with the pause running until around October 8. Don't build a farming plan around Trials this week — confirm they're live again before counting on them.
4. Quests and projects
Some blueprints are only obtainable by completing specific Quests or projects — they won't drop from a container, so scavenging will never find them. If a recipe seems to be missing from the loot pool entirely, check your quest log and active projects before assuming the drop is broken.
How to read a blueprint's details before you raid
Each blueprint lists its map, any required map condition, whether it's scavengable, which container class tends to hold it, and whether it's tied to a quest or project. Before you commit a raid to a specific blueprint, confirm three things: which container class it leans toward, whether a specific map condition is involved, and whether it's scavengable at all (versus quest/project-only). A few seconds of checking saves a dead raid.
Every blueprint — learned or not — can be sold for 5,000 Coins, so duplicate blueprints you've already learned are a clean income source rather than inventory clutter.
Note that Expedition departures can reset blueprint and crafting progression, so "unlocked forever" isn't guaranteed across an Expedition wipe — factor that into how much you invest chasing high-end recipes late in a cycle.

ARC Raiders - Materials

Stop grinding the wrong raids
If you've been hammering one container class for everything, that's the fix for most "blueprints not dropping" complaints. Separate what you're actually after — attachments versus Gun Parts versus a specific recipe — then match the container class to that category. Line up rare and epic hunts with a x2 Major Map Condition, and for recipes that refuse to appear, check whether they're quest- or project-locked before blaming RNG.
When you just want the recipe unlocked and the materials to craft it — without burning raids on container RNG — you can skip straight to the gear:

FAQ
Why are no blueprints dropping for me in ARC Raiders? Usually because you're looting one container class for a category that spawns elsewhere. Scavenged blueprints are grouped by container: Gun Parts lean toward Raider Containers, weapon attachments toward Residential Containers, explosives toward Industrial, medical toward Medical, augments toward Security, and utilities toward Electrical. These are strong tendencies with exceptions, so also check the individual recipe's entry.
Where do weapon blueprints drop in ARC Raiders? It depends on type. Gun Parts blueprints lean toward Raider Containers, while weapon attachment blueprints (grips, magazines, stocks, compensators) commonly appear in Residential Containers. Rare and epic blueprints of any type are more common during x2 Major Map Conditions.
How do I get rare and epic blueprints faster? Raid during x2 Major Map Conditions, when rare and epic blueprints are much more common. Trials can also reward blueprints, but the reward is random rather than a recipe you pick — and Trials are paused as of October 7, 2026, so confirm they're live before relying on them.
Can I get every blueprint from scavenging? No. Some blueprints are only available through Quests or projects and won't spawn in a container. If a recipe isn't in the scavenging pool, check your quest log — grinding raids for it is wasted time.
What do I do with duplicate blueprints I've already learned? Learned blueprints show a ✓ and can't be consumed again, but every blueprint sells for 5,000 Coins, so duplicates are a steady income source rather than clutter.
How do I actually use a blueprint once I find it? Take it back to Speranza, select it, and choose "Learn and Consume." The blueprint is consumed and the recipe is added to your Workshop — though note an Expedition departure can reset crafting progression.
