Arena Breakout Infinite PS5 & Xbox: Is It on Console in 2026? (Controller & Steam Deck Too)

Arena Breakout: Infinite is one of the most searched-for extraction shooters among console players, and "Arena Breakout Infinite PS5" is a question that keeps coming back on Reddit, most recently in an r/ArenaBreakoutInfinite thread on October 17, 2026. We get why: it's free-to-play, Season 7: Utopia is live, and the hardcore extraction loop is exactly what PS5 and Xbox players say they can't get on their own hardware.

To get a straight answer, we read all 101 official community announcements in the game's Steam news feed (April 2024 to October 14, 2026), plus the live Steam store data for app 2073620 and the official site. Below: what's actually confirmed for PS5 and Xbox, why the "console version is coming" rumours don't hold up, and where things stand on controllers, Steam Deck, Mac and crossplay.

Quick answer: is Arena Breakout: Infinite on PS5 or Xbox?

No. As of October 19, 2026, Arena Breakout: Infinite is a Windows PC game only. There is no PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One version, and Morefun Studios has never announced one in its official Steam news feed. The game is free-to-play on PC through Steam (appid 2073620), the Epic Games Store and Morefun's own launcher.

  • PS5 / PS4: not available, no official announcement, no release date
  • Xbox Series X/S / Xbox One: not available, no official announcement
  • Controller support on PC: not supported, per Morefun's own FAQ
  • Steam Deck / Linux / Mac: not supported
  • Crossplay with consoles: doesn't exist, because there's no console version. Cross-progression between Steam, Epic and the official launcher does exist.
  • Current season: Season 7: Utopia, live since September 16, 2026

If you saw a phone game called "Arena Breakout", that's a different game (more on that below).

Is there an Arena Breakout: Infinite PS5 release date?

No. No PS5 or Xbox release date exists, and no window or "planned for 2026" statement has come from Morefun Studios.

We searched the full text of all 101 official announcements in the game's Steam news feed, from the closed-beta era in April 2024 through the October 14, 2026 Bans Notice and the Girls' Frontline 2 collab announcement. Not one of them contains the words "PS5", "PlayStation", "Xbox" or "console". That covers the Steam 1.0 launch posts, all four season reveals since then (Season 4: Dusk to Dawn, Season 5: Distortion, Season 6: White Nights, Season 7: Utopia) and the 1st Anniversary announcement. A console port is the biggest announcement a free-to-play PC shooter can make. If one were coming, it would almost certainly turn up in that feed first.

The October 2026 key art says the same thing. The platform strip under Morefun's official ABI × Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium announcement (posted October 14, 2026) shows Windows, Steam and Epic Games. No PlayStation or Xbox logo appears anywhere on it.

So where does the "it's coming to PS5" idea come from? Mostly from three sources:

  • Third-party "console version" pages that quote unnamed Discord moderators or developers. Some say there are "no plans" and others say it's "in the plans". None of these quotes can be checked against an official, dated post, and several of the sites hosting them also sell in-game currency. We don't treat those claims as fact, and neither should you.
  • Speculative release windows. A widely shared 2025 article guessed that a port "could easily take 12 to 18 months" and pointed to "late 2025 or early 2026". That window has passed with no announcement.
  • Mobile/PC confusion. The original Arena Breakout runs on phones, so "Arena Breakout is on more than PC" is technically true. It just isn't true of Infinite.

Player frustration is real, too. In that October 17, 2026 thread, one player called it "pretty dumb for them to announce they're bringing it to console and then never say anything else". As far as Morefun's official channels show, though, there was never a formal console announcement to walk back.

Our read: treat any "Arena Breakout: Infinite PS5 release date" you see online as a rumour until it shows up in an official post on Steam or arenabreakoutinfinite.com. We'll update this page the day that happens.

Which platforms is Arena Breakout: Infinite actually on?

Arena Breakout: Infinite is PC-only, Windows-only and free-to-play. Here's the confirmed platform picture as of October 19, 2026:

The game left Early Access and launched 1.0 worldwide on Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 15, 2025, after Early Access opened on August 13, 2024. Morefun's pre-launch post said the game had "over 2.1 million wishlists" heading into the Steam release. It's a big PC game, but still only a PC game.

Does Arena Breakout: Infinite support a controller on PC?

No. Morefun answered this directly in the FAQ attached to its official "Arena Breakout: Infinite Full Release is live on Steam now!" announcement (September 16, 2025):

"Q: Are controllers supported? A: Controllers are currently not supported."

Nothing has changed that answer since. The live Steam store entry for app 2073620 still lists no controller support as of October 19, 2026, and no patch note, season reveal or live update since launch has added gamepad input. The whole game, from the grid-based inventory and attachment tuning to the Market screens, is built around mouse and keyboard.

Can you force a controller with remapping software? We can't confirm whether third-party input remappers are flagged, and Morefun hasn't published a ruling either way. What it has published, in the Season 6 Security Report (September 28, 2026), is that players whose "game environment seems suspicious (including but not limited to opening the game client under abnormal circumstances…)" may be removed from raids or given a short-term ban while their replays are reviewed. On an account you care about, we wouldn't test that line. Morefun's security team issued 10,848 cheating bans and 3,706 ten-year bans in the September 28 to October 11 window alone.

Can you play Arena Breakout: Infinite on Steam Deck, Linux or Mac?

No to all three.

  • Steam Deck / Linux: Morefun's FAQ for the Steam launch says it plainly: "Linux and the Steam Deck are currently not supported." Valve's own Steam Deck compatibility report for app 2073620 rates it as unsupported on SteamOS as of October 2026. Morefun hasn't explained the technical reason. In practice, a Deck owner should assume it won't launch.
  • Mac: the Steam listing is Windows-only, with no macOS build.
  • Anti-cheat context: the game runs Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) (listed on the Steam store page), and since August 2026 also uses DMA Guard, which needs Intel VT-d or AMD IOMMU enabled in your BIOS on affected accounts. If you're on a Windows PC and hit that check, our DMA Guard VT-d / IOMMU fix guide walks through the BIOS setting by motherboard brand.

Is Arena Breakout: Infinite cross-platform or crossplay?

There's no crossplay with consoles, since there's no console version to cross-play with. There is also no shared progress with the mobile game. Arena Breakout (mobile) has its own seasons, economy and season numbering, so mobile "Season 7" and ABI's Season 7: Utopia are different things.

What ABI does have is cross-progression across its three PC storefronts. From Morefun's official FAQ in the "coming to Steam on Sept. 15!" announcement:

"Q: Is cross-progression available across platforms? A: Yes, players will be available to play across Steam, Epic, and Official website build, as long as you log in with the same Level Infinite Pass account, all your game data will stay in sync."

So if you started on the official launcher and moved to Steam, your stash, Koen and level come with you, as long as you sign in with the same Level Infinite Pass. One catch from the same FAQ: switching to Steam means downloading the Steam build separately. Your launcher install doesn't carry over.

Arena Breakout vs Arena Breakout: Infinite: which one is on mobile?

This is where most of the bad information online comes from, so here's the short version:

  • Arena Breakout (no subtitle) is the mobile game for iOS and Android, launched globally in July 2023.
  • Arena Breakout: Infinite is the PC game. Steam lists Morefun Studios as both developer and publisher.

They share a setting and plenty of design DNA, but they are separate products with separate seasons, separate economies and separate patch notes. A lot of "ABI console/mobile" content online mixes up the two. A guide that quotes mobile item stats or mobile season dates for ABI is simply wrong. If you're on a phone, you want Arena Breakout. If you want Infinite, you need a Windows PC.

What PC do you need to play Arena Breakout: Infinite?

If a PS5 or Xbox was your plan, here's what the PC version actually asks for, straight from the Steam store page:

A few practical notes for console players making the jump:

  • It's genuinely free. Arena Breakout: Infinite is free-to-play on Steam. The premium currency is Bonds. Koen, the gameplay currency, can no longer be bought with real money at all, because Morefun removed that system before the 1.0 launch. Our pay-to-win breakdown covers what Bonds can and can't buy.
  • Plan for 70 GB of storage. An SSD makes a noticeable difference to load times on a game this size.
  • Your progress won't reset at the season boundary. ABI resets season rank and seasonal missions, but your stash, Koen and level carry over. See our does Arena Breakout: Infinite wipe explainer.
  • Set up audio first. Coming from console headsets, the single biggest early upgrade is hearing footsteps properly. Our audio settings guide has the Season 7 settings.

What would it take for Arena Breakout: Infinite to come to console?

Morefun hasn't said, so this part is analysis, not news. These are the things worth watching:

  • Controller support on PC first. Gamepad input on the PC build would be the most obvious early signal of console work. As long as Morefun's FAQ says "Controllers are currently not supported", a console port is very unlikely to be close.
  • An official announcement in the Steam feed or on arenabreakoutinfinite.com. Morefun posts season reveals, collabs and security reports there first, and in full. A console reveal would land there too, not in a Discord screenshot.
  • Anti-cheat on closed platforms. ABI's current security stack (ACE, plus DMA Guard's BIOS-level checks) is built around Windows PCs. Morefun's fortnightly reports and season security reports focus heavily on PC-specific cheating, such as DMA hardware and "radar" wallhack sites. A console version would need a different approach, and Morefun hasn't discussed one.

Until any of that changes, the honest answer to "Arena Breakout Infinite PS5?" is: not today, not announced, and no date.

Is Arena Breakout: Infinite coming to Xbox Series X/S? There's no official announcement and no release date. None of Morefun's 101 official Steam announcements from April 2024 to October 2026 mention Xbox, PlayStation or consoles. Treat any "Xbox release date" you see as a rumour.

Can I play Arena Breakout: Infinite with a controller? No. Morefun's official FAQ states "Controllers are currently not supported", and the Steam listing still shows no controller support as of October 2026. The game is designed for mouse and keyboard.

Does Arena Breakout: Infinite work on Steam Deck? No. Morefun's FAQ says "Linux and the Steam Deck are currently not supported", and Valve's compatibility report lists it as unsupported on SteamOS. There's also no Mac version.

Is Arena Breakout: Infinite cross-platform? Only across PC storefronts. If you log in with the same Level Infinite Pass account, your progress syncs between the Steam, Epic and official launcher versions. There's no crossplay with consoles and no shared progress with the mobile game Arena Breakout.
