Updated October 23, 2026 · applies to Season 88 (Shocktober), the October 6 balance patch and the October 19 balance update.

Quick answer: The best deck for Arena 6 (P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse, 1,600–1,999 trophies) in October 2026 is a Hog Rider cycle: Hog Rider, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Musketeer, Cannon, Fireball, Zap, Skeletons and Electro Spirit (2.9 Elixir). It's RoyaleTracker's top recommended Arena 6 deck, and every card is Common or Rare. If you want to use the new Epics, run P.E.K.K.A Battle Ram (3.4 Elixir) or a Giant beatdown with Baby Dragon (3.4 Elixir). Every card in all three decks unlocks at or before Arena 6.

P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse is the arena where Epic cards unlock (Clash Royale Wiki: Arenas). P.E.K.K.A, Witch, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Goblin Barrel and Guards all arrive at once, and almost every opponent suddenly has one of them. The catch: the Epics are the hardest cards to level, and several of them win fewer games at this range than the Commons and Rares you already own. This guide uses only cards you can have at 1,600 trophies, explains which new Epics are worth your Wild Cards, and covers what Supercell's two October balance passes changed.

Key takeaways

  • Arena 6 is P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse, from 1,600 to 1,999 trophies, with a King Level 6 requirement. At 2,000 you move into Arena 7, Royal Arena.
  • It unlocks 6 cards, all Epic: P.E.K.K.A, Witch, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Goblin Barrel and Guards. It's the first arena where Epics unlock.
  • Best all-round pick: Hog Rider cycle (2.9 Elixir) — RoyaleTracker's first recommended deck for this arena (RoyaleTracker: Arena 6).
  • P.E.K.K.A is the only new Epic that clearly beats the average in RoyaleTracker's low-ladder card tiers (checked October 23, 2026): 50.6% against a 49.35% baseline. Witch sits at 43.1% and Goblin Barrel at 46.8%.
  • P.E.K.K.A was buffed on July 6, 2026 (damage 816 → 842 at Level 11, July Balance Changes), and Goblin Barrel on October 6 (first hit 0.4s → 0.3s, October Balance Changes).
  • No Wild slot yet. At Arena 6 you have one Evolution slot and one Hero slot. The Wild slot opens at Arena 10.

Which cards can you use at Arena 6?

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.A, the 7-Elixir Epic that unlocks in Arena 6

Your card pool at P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse is everything from the Training Camp through Arena 6 (Clash Royale Wiki: Arenas):

ArenaTrophiesCards it unlocks
Training Camp + Arena 10–299Knight, Archers, Musketeer, Giant, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Minions, Arrows, Fireball, Goblins, Spear Goblins, Goblin Cage, Goblin Hut
2 · Bone Pit300–599Skeletons, Bomber, Valkyrie, Tombstone
3 · Barbarian Bowl600–999Cannon, Barbarians, Mega Minion, Battle Ram
4 · Spell Valley1,000–1,299Wizard, Inferno Tower, Bomb Tower, Skeleton Dragons, Fire Spirit, Electro Spirit
5 · Builder's Workshop1,300–1,599Hog Rider, Zap, Mortar, Rocket, Bats, Flying Machine, Minion Giant
6 · P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse1,600–1,999P.E.K.K.A, Witch, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Goblin Barrel, Guards

The cards that catch people out: Royal Giant, Balloon, Prince, Dark Prince and Three Musketeers unlock one arena later in Royal Arena. Ice Spirit, Ice Golem, Giant Snowball, Freeze and Lightning wait until Frozen Peak (Arena 8). The Log, Princess, Miner and Mega Knight are Legendaries, and Legendaries don't unlock until Arena 11. If a "best Arena 6 deck" includes any of them, it wasn't written for this arena.

What is the best deck for Arena 6 right now?

Our pick for most players between 1,600 and 1,999 trophies is the Hog Rider cycle, the same list RoyaleTracker recommends first: "The best deck for Arena 6 right now uses Hog Rider, Fireball and Mini P.E.K.K.A." (RoyaleTracker: Arena 6). All eight cards are Common or Rare. They drop far more often from chests, the Shop and clan donations than Epics, so you can level this deck while everyone around you is stuck waiting for P.E.K.K.A copies.

The deck (2.9 average Elixir):

CardElixirRarityJob
Hog Rider4RareWin condition
Mini P.E.K.K.A4RareTank killer, counter-push
Musketeer4RareRanged support, air defence
Cannon3CommonBuilding that pulls Giant, Hog and P.E.K.K.A
Fireball4RareMedium spell
Zap2CommonSmall spell, reset
Skeletons1CommonCheapest distraction in the game
Electro Spirit1CommonChain stun, cycle

That's 23 Elixir across 8 cards, a 2.875 average that shows in-game as 2.9.

Why Mini P.E.K.K.A here: the tanks you'll see most here are the new P.E.K.K.A and Giant beatdown. At Level 11 Mini P.E.K.K.A hits for 755 with 1,390 HP (Clash Royale Wiki: Mini P.E.K.K.A). Pull a P.E.K.K.A with Cannon, distract her with Skeletons, and let Mini P.E.K.K.A chip her down while your Crown Tower shoots. Then send the survivors across the bridge with a Hog Rider.

How to play it: defend cheaply, then counter-punch. When your opponent drops a 7-Elixir P.E.K.K.A or a 5-Elixir Giant at the back, send a lone Hog Rider to the other lane right away. They can't defend both. Hog Rider has 1,697 HP and hits for 317 at Level 11 (Clash Royale Wiki: Hog Rider), so every connect matters. Save Zap for Skeleton Army or Goblin Barrel on your side, and Fireball for a Witch or Musketeer behind their tower.

One player on r/ClashRoyale put the core skill this deck teaches better than we can: "having an elixir advantage is a big deal for this game. Little things like using a fireball on a princess (fireball = 4, princess = 3, princess user is now up 1 elixir) stack up through the game..." Princess isn't in your pool yet, but the arithmetic is the same with Witch, Goblin Barrel and Skeleton Army. Trade up, never down.

Electro Spirit note: since the August 2026 balance changes it no longer damages Crown Towers on its own. Play it as a 1-Elixir stun on defence, not as chip damage.

Swap Mini P.E.K.K.A for Valkyrie (legal since Arena 2) and you have our Arena 7 Hog Valkyrie cycle. At Arena 11 it becomes the classic 2.6 Hog Cycle.

Is P.E.K.K.A good at Arena 6?

Yes. She's the one new Epic the numbers back. P.E.K.K.A costs 7 Elixir and hits for 842 at Level 11 with 3,760 HP (Clash Royale Wiki: P.E.K.K.A), which kills a Mini P.E.K.K.A (1,390 HP) in two swings and leaves a Hog Rider (1,697 HP) on 13 HP after two. Supercell buffed her on July 6, 2026 (damage 816 → 842) with this note: "P.E.K.K.A has been left in the shadows by other tanky options. A damage buff will allow her to take out certain mid-hitpoint troops in 1 swing." (July Balance Changes).

The deck: P.E.K.K.A Battle Ram (3.4 average Elixir):

  • P.E.K.K.A (defensive tank killer, 7)
  • Battle Ram (win condition, 4)
  • Baby Dragon (splash, air defence, 4)
  • Minions (air defence, 3)
  • Bomber (swarm defence, 2)
  • Skeletons (distraction, 1)
  • Fireball (medium spell, 4)
  • Zap (small spell, 2)

That's 27 Elixir, a 3.375 average, which shows in-game as 3.4.

How to play it: P.E.K.K.A is a defensive card first. Place her in front of their tank, let her clean up, then drop a Battle Ram in front of her at the bridge. At Level 11 the Ram has 967 HP and deals 573 charge damage (Clash Royale Wiki: Battle Ram), and Supercell raised its sight range from 5.5 to 6.5 tiles on September 8 because it was "often able to bypass standard building placements", so a well-placed Cannon now pulls it more reliably (it's a nerf, not a buff) (September Balance Changes, dated September 2026). Use Battle Ram on its own when they're low on Elixir to keep pressure on.

Her weakness: P.E.K.K.A can't hit air. Minion Giant, Bats, Minions and Baby Dragon all fly over her. That's why this deck carries Baby Dragon and Minions. Baby Dragon got a damage buff too (161 → 168) in the same July patch. Skeleton Army is the other classic counter, and Bomber or Zap clears it.

The cost: two Epics. The Trophy Road offers 3 copies of P.E.K.K.A or Baby Dragon at 1,625 trophies and again at 1,800. Take P.E.K.K.A once and Baby Dragon once.

Is Giant beatdown good at Arena 6?

It's a strong option if you'd rather build pushes than cycle. Giant is a Rare from the Training Camp with 3,968 HP at Level 11 (Clash Royale Wiki: Giant), and RoyaleTracker rates it 51.3% in its low-ladder card tiers, the second-best card on the list after Skeleton Dragons.

The deck (3.4 average Elixir):

  • Giant (win condition, 5)
  • Baby Dragon (splash support, 4)
  • Mini P.E.K.K.A (tank killer, 4)
  • Musketeer (air defence, 4)
  • Minions (air defence, 3)
  • Skeletons (distraction, 1)
  • Fireball (medium spell, 4)
  • Zap (small spell, 2)

That's 27 Elixir, a 3.375 average.

How to play it: defend the first minute cheaply, then start a Giant from the back once you're up Elixir. Add Baby Dragon or Musketeer behind him as he crosses the bridge. Giant only targets buildings, so his support has to deal with the Skeleton Army or Mini P.E.K.K.A sent to stop him. Hold Zap for that.

Witch instead of Baby Dragon? You can, and plenty of players do, but read the next section first.

Which Arena 6 Epics are worth leveling?

Clash Royale Witch with her Skeletons, one of six Epic cards unlocked in P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse

Epic copies are scarce, so spend them where they pay off. Here are the six new cards from RoyaleTracker's card tiers (snapshot checked October 23, 2026, RoyaleTracker: Arena 6):

Arena 6 EpicElixirWin rateUse rateVerdict
P.E.K.K.A750.6%3.4%Level it. Best new card at this range.
Guards349.4%3.9%Fine. Three spear-skeletons, each with 81 HP plus a 256-point shield.
Baby Dragon448.1%2.1%Useful flying splash in heavy decks.
Skeleton Army347.6%4.3%Strong vs P.E.K.K.A and Hog, but loses to Zap, Arrows and Bomber.
Goblin Barrel346.8%4.1%Fun, buffed in October, but weak without bait support.
Witch543.1%1.4%Skip for now.

(The baseline win rate across all cards is 49.35%.)

A note on that data: RoyaleTracker shows the same per-card figures on its Arena 6 and Arena 7 pages, so treat them as a pooled low-trophy snapshot, not a measurement taken only inside P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse. The direction still matters. Cheap Commons and Rares like Minions (50.7%), Bomber (50.6%) and Fireball (50.2%) outperform most of the flashy new Epics.

Why Witch struggles: at Level 11 she has only 839 HP (Clash Royale Wiki: Witch), so a Fireball plus a couple of Crown Tower shots takes her out before her Skeletons do much. Her Evolution was also reworked on August 4, 2026: Evolved Witch now heals only from her first Skeleton wave (with more healing per Skeleton and more HP to compensate), and the reason is quoted on the patch page: "While she's extremely popular on Trophy Road, her persistent self-healing has proven frustrating to play against." (Final August Balance Changes).

Clash Royale Goblin Barrel, the Arena 6 Epic that was buffed in the October 6, 2026 balance changes

Goblin Barrel throws 3 Goblins onto any spot in the arena for 3 Elixir. On October 6 its first hit got faster (0.4s → 0.3s), so a landed barrel now starts damaging the tower sooner. The problem at this level: almost everyone carries Zap or Arrows (Arrows sits in 23.2% of decks on the same snapshot), and one Arrows kills the whole barrel. Zap doesn't quite: it leaves same-level Goblins on a sliver of HP for your tower to finish. It works best in a deck with Skeleton Army and Spear Goblins, so the opponent can't save their spell for it.

What decks will you face in P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse?

  • Hog Rider. The most-used win condition on the snapshot (14.0% of decks). Keep Cannon or Mini P.E.K.K.A ready, and Skeletons as a 1-Elixir distraction.
  • Minion Giant. In 7.5% of decks and legal since Arena 5. Supercell slowed its hit speed on October 6 (1.5s → 1.7s) because it "was too punishing for a flying win condition," then cut its damage on October 19 (168 → 153). Musketeer and Minions handle it. Our Minion Giant counter guide has the full breakdown.
  • P.E.K.K.A and Giant beatdown. Don't fight the tank head-on with your win condition. Pull with Cannon, swarm with Skeletons, and punish the other lane while they're spending 5–7 Elixir.
  • Witch and Skeleton Army. Zap or Bomber clears Skeleton Army and the Witch's Skeletons. Fireball plus your Crown Tower handles the Witch herself. Never drop Skeletons onto a Witch.
  • Skeletons. The October 19 update made them always split on middle tiles (spawn spread 0.4 → 0.5 tiles). Splash still kills them all.

Do you need Evolutions or Heroes at Arena 6?

No. All three decks work with no Evolution and no Hero. At P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse you have one Evolution slot (opened at Arena 3) and one Hero slot (opened at Arena 5). The Wild slot, which takes either an Evolution or a Hero, opens at Arena 10 (Clash Royale Wiki: Arenas).

If you already own a Hero whose base card is in your deck, slot it in. Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A fits the Hog cycle and the Giant deck (our Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A guide), and Hero Musketeer fits both too. Since the August 2026 balance changes, Hero and Champion abilities fire once per deployment (Boss Bandit is the only exception), so save the ability for the fight it decides. Our Clash Royale Heroes guide explains Hero Coins and the Hero slot.

How do you get out of Arena 6 faster?

P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse has seven Trophy Road rewards (Clash Royale Wiki: Arenas):

TrophiesReward
1,6253 copies of P.E.K.K.A or Baby Dragon (your choice)
1,7004,000 Gold
1,7503 copies of Skeleton Army or Witch (your choice)
1,8003 copies of P.E.K.K.A or Baby Dragon (your choice)
1,8505 copies of Goblin Barrel or Guards (your choice)
1,9003,000 Gold
1,9503 copies of Skeleton Army or Witch (your choice)

Take P.E.K.K.A at least once. Skeleton Army is the better pick over Witch for most decks. Gold per level is the same for every rarity, so the Hog cycle doesn't save Gold. What it saves is copies, which are much easier to find for Commons and Rares.

Three habits get you to 2,000 faster than switching decks:

  • Pick one deck and stay with it. You only learn matchups by playing them.
  • Count Elixir on big drops. A P.E.K.K.A or Witch at the back is your cue to attack the other lane.
  • Don't rage-queue. Once you've reached P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse, its Trophy Gate stops your trophies from dropping below 1,600. A short break beats playing tilted.

At 2,000, our best deck for Arena 7 (Royal Arena) picks up where this guide ends. After that comes Arena 8 (Frozen Peak). For the whole ladder, see all 32 Clash Royale arenas in order.
