Haunted by Daylight 2026 went live on 13 October 2026 and closes on 3 November 2026. It is running on the Patch 10.2.0 build, which released on 6 October 2026 — there is no separate event patch, and no 10.2.1 has shipped yet.

The reward structure changed shape this year, and most of the lists circulating right now are quietly mixing it up with last year's. Haunted by Daylight 2026 drops the old Event Tome entirely and runs on event quests, which pay out a temporary currency called Dark Trinkets. You spend those on a fixed pool of cosmetics. Everything else — the two headline outfits — is not purchasable at all, and comes from how many quests you finish.

Below is every reward, what it actually costs, where the published numbers stop, and the arithmetic that tells you whether you can realistically clear the whole board before 3 November.

Quick answer: what are the Haunted by Daylight 2026 rewards?

  • Event window: 13 October to 3 November 2026, on the Patch 10.2.0 build.
  • Event currency: Dark Trinkets, a temporary currency that returns from previous Halloween events. It comes from event quests and from one one-time login gift of 100 Dark Trinkets.
  • Currency-unlock pool: Behaviour's own Rewards Recap shows 12 cosmetics bought with event currency — 3 Killer Halloween masks, 3 Survivor skeleton shirts, 3 badges, 1 charm and 2 banners.
  • Confirmed price: every individually priced item documented so far costs 100 Dark Trinkets.
  • Quest-only rewards: a full outfit for Shane Wiigwaas and The Hillbilly's Sugar Rush outfit, unlocked across the 4, 6, 8 and 12-quest completion tiers, plus the Fields Run Red banner at 16 quests.
  • Login track: 25,000 or 50,000 Bloodpoints a day, resetting at 15:00 UTC, with a first-day gift of 50,000 Bloodpoints and 125 Iridescent Shards.
  • Live issue: a large number of Killers are reporting that the "Hook 20 Survivors" milestone quest is not tracking progress at all.

What are Dark Trinkets, and how do you get them?

Dark Trinkets are the temporary Halloween currency. They do not persist as a normal wallet currency the way Iridescent Shards or Auric Cells do — they exist for the event window and buy only event cosmetics.

There are exactly two documented sources:

  • The one-time login reward. 100 Dark Trinkets, claimable at any point during the event from Messages from The Fog in your main-menu inbox.
  • Event quests. Each quest pays a mix of Bloodpoints, Dark Trinkets and Rift Fragments.

That second source is where most of your currency comes from, and it is also where the published data runs out. Here are the quest payouts Behaviour has actually put numbers against so far:

QuestObjectivePublished reward
Community Quest — Smash Pumpkins50 personal, 150,000,000 global20,000 Bloodpoints, 100 event currency, 100 Rift Fragments
Milestone — HookHook 20 Survivors10,000 Bloodpoints, 25 event currency, 25 Rift Fragments
Milestone — PortalsOpen 3 Portals10,000 Bloodpoints, 75 event currency, 50 Rift Fragments
Completion tierFinish 4 event quests100 event currency, plus a Shane outfit piece and an Archives collectible

Add the login gift and those four documented sources come to 400 Dark Trinkets. Hold that number — it matters in a moment.

Which cosmetics can you buy with Dark Trinkets?

Behaviour's Rewards Recap graphic for the event lays the purchasable pool out in a 12-cell grid under the heading "Unlock with event currency". That pool is:

Behaviour Interactive's official Haunted by Daylight 2026 Rewards Recap graphic showing the twelve cosmetics that unlock with event currency, including Killer masks, skeleton shirts, badges, a charm and two banners

Killer Halloween masks (3)

  • The Trapper — Patchwork Horror
  • The Unknown — Scaring The Crows
  • The Singularity — Unidentified Frightening Object

Survivor skeleton shirts (3)

  • Adam Francis — Scholastic Ribcage
  • Jeff Johansen — Metalhead Ribcage
  • Sable Ward — Gothic Ribcage

Badges, charm and banners (6)

  • Blood Sugar (badge, Very Rare) — 100 Dark Trinkets
  • Carrion Carver (badge, Very Rare) — 100 Dark Trinkets
  • Zombie, Esq Portrait (badge, Very Rare) — 100 Dark Trinkets
  • Feathered Fright (charm, Very Rare) — 100 Dark Trinkets
  • Candy Cruise (banner, Very Rare) — 100 Dark Trinkets
  • Ballad of Bone (banner, Rare) — not purchasable; awarded for completing the Community Quest

This is the first place the commonly copied reward lists go wrong. Several of them quote a five-item shop, because the wiki's price column currently has a confirmed figure against only five entries. Behaviour's own graphic shows twelve cells. The masks and shirts are in that grid; their individual prices simply have not been published yet.

So the honest arithmetic is this. If every currency-unlock item is priced at the 100 Dark Trinkets that all five documented items share, clearing the full board costs 1,200 Dark Trinkets — against the 400 that published sources currently account for. Either the remaining five milestone quests carry much larger payouts than the two we can see, or nobody clears the entire pool. Do not plan around a figure anyone is quoting as fixed right now, including this one: the only safe read is that you want every quest you can finish.

What do you get from the event quests themselves?

The quest ladder is where the two genuinely desirable rewards live, and none of it costs currency. Completion tiers fire at 4, 6, 8, 12 and 16 quests:

Quests completedReward
4Tattered Tracksuit (Shane, Torso), T.G Journal Extract #1, 100 event currency
6Local Legend (Hillbilly, Legs), Striped Shamblers (Shane, Legs)
8Sweet Justice (Hillbilly, Weapon), T.G. Journal Extract #2
12Pigging Out (Hillbilly, Torso), Braaaaains (Shane, Head)
16Fields Run Red (banner, Ascended)

Read down that table and the structure becomes obvious: the pieces interleave, so both full outfits complete at the 12-quest tier. The Hillbilly's three pieces — Pigging Out, Local Legend and Sweet Justice — are the Sugar Rush outfit that released on 13 October 2026. Shane's three pieces build the zombie tracksuit look. Stop at 11 quests and you own two incomplete outfits and nothing to show for it on the Hillbilly's torso.

Then there is the detail nobody has flagged. Only 9 quests are currently documented — one Community Quest plus eight milestone quests. The completion ladder tops out at 16. The gap is not an error in the reward table; it means at least seven further quests unlock across the event's three-week run. If you grind the opening batch to completion in the first weekend and then stop checking, you will miss the 16-quest banner entirely.

The eight documented milestone objectives are:

  • Hook 20 Survivors
  • Collect 100 Void Energy from downing Survivors
  • Shatter 5 Void Crystals
  • Repair 2 Generators with a Void Crystal
  • Open 3 Portals
  • Complete 10 Haunted by Daylight Trials, or 20 Trials
  • Complete 5 Empowered Breaks
  • Complete 5 Trials as Shane Wiigwaas, or 10 Trials as any Survivor

Note how the list splits. Four lean Killer-side (hooking, downing for Void Energy, shattering Crystals, Empowered Breaks), two are Survivor-side, and two can be cleared from either role. If you only play one side, you are structurally slower to 16 than someone who swaps.

Is the Hook 20 Survivors quest broken?

This is the single most-asked question about the event right now, so it is worth being precise about what is and is not established.

Across the first twelve hours of the event, players filed the same complaint in multiple independent threads on both r/deadbydaylight and r/DeadByDaylightKillers: the "Hook X Survivors" milestone quest records no progress. One player reported two full trials on The Dredge with 18 hooks and zero credit. Others reported the same result on Nurse and Ghost Face, ruling out a Killer-specific cause. A second quest — hiding in the Killer's Terror Radius — is drawing identical reports.

Behaviour has not published an acknowledgement of this in the 10.2.0 patch notes or the known-issues list as of 14 October 2026, so treat it as a widely-reported player issue rather than a confirmed bug. There is no reliable workaround circulating; one player reported a Survivor-side quest crediting after switching character, but that is a single anecdote and does not transfer to the Killer objective.

The practical advice: do not burn an Arcane Dousing Rod offering or a deliberate hook-farming session on that quest today. Put your time into the Portal and Void Crystal objectives, which are tracking normally, and file a report through Behaviour's official support channel so it gets counted.

How does the login reward track work?

This track runs separately from quests and is pure Bloodpoint and Shard income:

  • Daily: 25,000 or 50,000 Bloodpoints, renewing at 15:00 UTC.
  • First event day: 50,000 Bloodpoints plus 125 Iridescent Shards.
  • One-time: 100 Dark Trinkets, claimable at any point in the window.

Everything is claimed from Messages from The Fog in the main-menu inbox, not from the event screen. Two things worth planning around: Bloodpoints still obey the standard wallet cap, so claim into headroom rather than letting a 50,000 gift evaporate, and the 125 Iridescent Shards are a genuinely meaningful top-up against the normal per-level Shard trickle.

Rift Fragments stack up fast here too — the three documented quest payouts alone hand over 175 Fragments, which feeds straight into the current Academia Rift progress.

What are the paid Halloween cosmetics?

Two seasonal outfits sit outside the event economy entirely and cost Auric Cells:

  • Nea Karlsson — Panic At Prenn: 1,080 Auric Cells for the full outfit, or 400 per piece (Non-Conformist, Rebel Streak, Butterfly's Flight).
  • Ace Visconti — Sexy Beast: 1,080 Auric Cells for the full outfit, or 400 per piece (Huff & Bluff, Full House, Runner Runner).

Buying all three pieces separately costs 1,200 against the 1,080 bundle, so the per-piece option only makes sense if you want a single item. Previous years' Halloween outfits, including The Ghost Face's, return to the store for the window. There is also an in-game Halloween sale running alongside the event.

Which event items and add-ons are in the Bloodweb?

Three event items are in rotation for the window:

  • All Hallows' Eve Lunchbox (Med-Kit, 24 charges): +40% altruistic healing speed, unlocks self-healing at −33% personal healing speed and −33% item efficiency, and makes the user considerably more visible.
  • Will O' Wisp (Flashlight): lights for up to 8 seconds and causes more friendly Ghosts.
  • Void Crystal (Limited Item, 1 charge): retrieved in-trial from the Void Well for 70 Void Energy. Dropped as a fog cloud it expands to 4 metres over 1 second and lasts 8 seconds; placed on an incomplete Generator it repairs at 0.8% per second for up to 30 seconds, with manual repair disabled while it runs and the Killer able to destroy it by damaging the Generator.

There is also the Arcane Dousing Rod offering, which increases Bloodpoints from event-related Score Events by +100% and only works in Event Queue trials.

One change is catching people out. Blight Serum, Broken Bulb and Refined Serum are no longer available, and the distinction between them matters. Refined Serum is the only one of the three whose existing stockpiles may still be taken into a trial; Blight Serum and Broken Bulb stockpiles can no longer be used at all. That is why posts about Blight Serum interactions with newer Killers are chasing an add-on most accounts can neither obtain nor play.

How do you actually earn the quest objectives?

Most of the milestone objectives are Void mechanics, and Behaviour's own event explainer sets out the earn rules directly. As the official infographic puts it, Killers collect Void Energy by "SMASH PUMPKINS, DOWN SURVIVORS, HOOK SURVIVORS, HIT VOID HAUNTS", while Survivors collect it by "SMASH PUMPKINS, REPAIR GENERATORS, CHANNEL FROM VOID PORTALS, STUN OR BLIND THE KILLER".

The fast lanes for quest progress, given that split:

  • Open 3 Portals is the cheapest milestone on the board. Portals are a shared objective, so you can clear this in a couple of trials from either side.
  • Smash Pumpkins feeds the Community Quest and Void Energy at the same time, so it is never wasted time — pumpkins are the only action that pays both roles identically.
  • Shatter 5 Void Crystals is Killer-side and comes free while chasing: Survivors drop them constantly, and breaking them also denies the remote-repair play.
  • Repair 2 Generators with a Void Crystal is the one objective worth deliberately setting up, because it needs a Crystal spent on a Generator rather than as a smoke bomb.

FAQ

How long does Haunted by Daylight 2026 last? It started on 13 October 2026 and ends on 3 November 2026, a three-week window. It runs on the Patch 10.2.0 build released 6 October 2026.

What happens to leftover Dark Trinkets when the event ends? Behaviour has not published a conversion policy for the 2026 event. In earlier Halloween events leftover event currency was converted to Bloodpoints when the event wrapped up, but that has not been restated for 2026 — so spend them before 3 November rather than assuming a refund.

How many event quests are there in total? Nine are documented so far — one Community Quest and eight milestone quests — but the completion ladder pays out at 16 quests, so more unlock during the three-week run. Check the event tab weekly rather than assuming the opening batch is all of it.

Why is my Hook 20 Survivors quest not progressing? A large number of players reported this across both Dead by Daylight subreddits within the first day of the event, on multiple different Killers, including one case of 18 hooks over two trials with no credit. Behaviour has not confirmed it as a known issue as of 14 October 2026 and there is no verified workaround, so prioritise other milestones in the meantime.

Can you still get Blight Serum this year? No. Blight Serum, Broken Bulb and Refined Serum are all marked no longer available, and none of the three appear in the Bloodweb for Haunted by Daylight 2026. Only Refined Serum has an exception for existing stockpiles, which may still be used in trials — Blight Serum and Broken Bulb stockpiles cannot.

Do the Halloween masks and skeleton shirts cost Dark Trinkets? Yes — all three Killer masks and all three Survivor skeleton shirts sit inside the currency-unlock grid in Behaviour's Rewards Recap. Individual prices for those six have not been published yet; every event item that does have a published price costs 100 Dark Trinkets.

Is there a Haunted by Daylight code for free Bloodpoints? No verified event-specific code exists at the time of writing. Codes circulating in event threads have not appeared on any first-party channel — see our verified DBD codes list for what actually redeems today.
