Most Dead by Daylight code lists you will find this month are padded. One of the biggest updated itself on 28 September, told readers there were 54 active codes, and then printed five. Another still lists a 10-million-Bloodpoint code that died on 16 July 2026. This page takes the opposite approach: a code only appears in the active table if two genuinely independent sources agree on it, or if Behaviour Interactive published it directly. Everything that died gets moved to an expired table with the date it died.
Accurate as of 30 September 2026, on live patch 10.1.2a (released 17 September 2026, per the official Steam patch notes).
Quick answer: what is working in October 2026?
There are no new Dead by Daylight codes for October 2026 yet. The most recent code to appear anywhere was ROADTRIP on 21 September, and nothing has been added in the nine days since. Behaviour has not published a Halloween code, and has not published Haunted by Daylight 2026 dates either.
What you should do today, in order:
- Redeem ROADTRIP for the Dark Bomber Torso cosmetic for Shane Wiigwaas
- Redeem STARSGUIDE before 10 October 2026 — the wiki dates this one, and it is the only code with a confirmed October deadline
- Redeem PLAYXENOMORPHIN2V8 for 200,000 Bloodpoints. This is the single most at-risk code on the list, for reasons covered below
- Ignore any list telling you WORLDPRIDE2026, MAURICEPRIDE or DBD10BIRTHDAY still work. They do not
What are the working DBD codes right now?
Every code below cleared the two-source bar. Codes marked wiki-dated are backed by the official Dead by Daylight wiki, which records a redemption window on the cosmetic's own page — that is as close to first-party as code data gets.
Bloodpoint codes
- PLAYXENOMORPHIN2V8 — 200,000 Bloodpoints. Added 9 September 2026. No published expiry.
That is the whole list. One. If a page shows you a column of Bloodpoint codes twenty rows deep, it is showing you codes that stopped working months ago. Behaviour has never published a master list of Bloodpoint codes anywhere — not on deadbydaylight.com, not on the wiki — and that gap is exactly why fabricated strings survive on aggregators for months at a time.
Cosmetic and charm codes
- ROADTRIP — Dark Bomber Torso for Shane Wiigwaas. Added 21 September 2026
- STARSGUIDE — Stardotter banner. Wiki-dated: redeemable between 10 September and 10 October 2026
- MISSBEHAVIOURGC2026 — profile banners. Added 29 August 2026
- FINDERSCREEPERS — cosmetic
- IFLOOKSCOULDCHILL — cosmetic
- REDDIT1MIL — badge, issued when the subreddit passed one million members
- LETSROLL — charm, issued for the board game release
- WARRIORPUPPERS — keepsake charm honouring the creator Puppers
Alongside those, the long-running Pride badge and flag-charm block still redeems — roughly three dozen strings including PRIDE, PRIDE2022, CAWCAW and KINDRD, plus the BDG-series badge codes. Those are permanent cosmetics rather than time-limited promotions, which is why they survive year after year while the Bloodpoint codes die in weeks.
Codes we are deliberately not listing as active: GRASPINGTHEDARKNESS, LIFEOFTHEPARTY, ENCORE and COMEBACK. Sources split roughly down the middle on all four. They may well work — try them, they cost nothing but ten seconds — but they do not belong in a table that claims to be verified.
Which codes expire in October 2026?
Two things fall off the board this month, and only one of them is widely reported.
STARSGUIDE dies on 10 October 2026. This is the only code with a date Behaviour's own wiki records. The Stardotter banner page on the official wiki carries the line, verbatim: "Redeemable via code STARSGUIDE between 10 September - 10 October 2026." Ten days from publication. No aggregator we checked prints that date.
PLAYXENOMORPHIN2V8 is living on borrowed time. The code is named for the Alien 2v8 event, and 2v8 (V9 - Alien) ran from 8 September to 29 September 2026. The event ended yesterday. Behaviour has not published an expiry for the code itself, so we are not going to invent one — but a 200,000 Bloodpoint code named after an event that finished is the highest-risk entry on this page. Redeem it before you finish reading.
Worth noting alongside those: Rift Pass 6 - Sunflesh closes on 6 October 2026. That is not a code, but it shares the same deadline pressure, and any Bloodpoints you bank from PLAYXENOMORPHIN2V8 are best spent before the Rift turns over.
Why do the big code lists disagree with each other?
Because most of them copy from each other and none of them re-test. Three concrete examples from the pages currently ranking:
A self-contradicting count. The freshest large list, updated 28 September and explicitly claiming its codes are "verified to be working in-game," states there are 54 active codes and then displays five. Both numbers cannot be right.
A code that died in July. A second major list, updated 25 September, includes DBD10BIRTHDAY for 10,000,000 Bloodpoints. That promotion had a documented deadline of 16 July 2026. One provably dead entry in a fifty-six-row table tells you how often the other fifty-five were checked.
Rewards swapped between codes. On WORLDPRIDE2026 and MAURICEPRIDE, two of the biggest sites hand MAURICEPRIDE a 300,000 Bloodpoint payout and give WORLDPRIDE2026 a badge. Three other trackers say the opposite, and the wiki settles it: the Proud Maurice badge page records "Redemable between 10-17 August 2026" (the typo is the wiki's), which confirms both the reward and the death date. Two sites reproducing the same unusual error are one source, not two.
There is also a wiki quirk worth knowing if you want to check this yourself. The Dead by Daylight wiki has no codes page at all — searching for "Codes" or "Redeem Code" returns nothing. But searching the exact phrase "Redeemable via code" returns two dozen dated hits across the Banners, Badges and Charms pages. The rule of thumb: if a code grants a cosmetic, the wiki dates it. If a code grants only Bloodpoints, the wiki has nothing. That asymmetry is why cosmetic codes on this page carry hard dates and the Bloodpoint code does not.
One caution on method: the legacy Fandom mirror of the wiki is stale. Its most recent dated code window is from 2024. Only the current official wiki carries the 2026 entries.
How to check a code yourself in under a minute
You do not have to take anyone's word for this, including ours. The method that works:
Search the official wiki for the exact phrase "Redeemable via code" and read the dated windows it returns on the Banners, Badges and Charms pages. If the code you are checking grants a cosmetic and the wiki gives it a window, that window is authoritative and beats every tracker. If the wiki returns nothing, the code is either Bloodpoint-only or it does not exist — and at that point you need two trackers that are genuinely independent of one another, not two that have copied the same table.
The tell for a copied table is a shared oddity. When two sites both misspell the same reward, both swap the same pair of codes, or both carry the same expired entry, they are one source wearing two hats. That is how the MAURICEPRIDE reward swap propagated across the two largest lists at once.
The other tell is an unmaintained count. A page that says "54 active" above a five-row table is not being updated by anyone who reads it.
Why do cosmetic codes last for years and Bloodpoint codes die in weeks?
It comes down to what the reward costs Behaviour. A charm or a profile badge is a one-time art asset with no ongoing economic effect, so there is no reason to switch it off — the REDDIT1MIL badge was issued for the subreddit passing a million members and still redeems today, and the Pride charm and badge block has been accumulating since 2022.
Bloodpoints are different. They feed directly into the Bloodweb, and the Bloodweb is the progression treadmill the whole game is paced around. A 200,000 Bloodpoint code handed out indefinitely would quietly change how fast every new account levels, so those codes are tied to a campaign, a collaboration or an event and are shut off when it ends.
The practical consequence for you: treat every Bloodpoint code you see as urgent and every charm code as something you can pick up whenever. If you are working through the list for the first time, do PLAYXENOMORPHIN2V8 first and the Pride block last.
How do you redeem a code in Dead by Daylight?
The path has not changed, and it is the same on PC, console and Switch, and matches Behaviour's own instructions on deadbydaylight.com:
- Launch Dead by Daylight and get to the main menu
- Open the Store
- Go to the Featured tab
- Select Redeem Code — on PC it sits in the top-right
- Type the code exactly as written and confirm
Two practical notes. Sources disagree on whether codes are case-sensitive, so enter them exactly as printed rather than guessing. And if you see "This code has already been claimed," that account has used it — that error string is the only real evidence that codes are one redemption per account. Behaviour has published nothing about redeeming the same code on a second account, so do not plan around it.
Do codes work if your Bloodpoints are already capped?
Yes, and this is the most useful mechanic on the page. The Bloodpoint cap is 5,000,000, raised from 2,000,000 in Patch 8.6.0. But the official wiki's Bloodpoints page states it plainly: "Bloodpoints awarded by other sources (e.g. Log-in Rewards, promotional Codes, Email Codes, etc.) are exempt from the Cap and do not count towards it, allowing for an overflow past the Cap."
So a 200,000 Bloodpoint code will push you over 5M rather than being wasted. There is no reason to burn down your balance first.
For context on what that is worth: Bloodweb nodes cost 2,000 for Common and Event, 2,500 Uncommon, 3,250 Rare, 4,000 Very Rare and 5,000 for Ultra Rare, and the central prestige node at Level 50 costs 20,000 Bloodpoints. Behaviour publishes no average Bloodpoints-per-trial figure, so anyone converting a code into "N matches saved" with a specific number is guessing.
Is there a Halloween or Haunted by Daylight code yet?
No. And this is where most October code articles will quietly invent something.
Behaviour has not published Haunted by Daylight 2026 dates. The event has historically run from mid-October into early November, and you will see that window quoted as fact — but it is a projection, not an announcement. Until Behaviour posts dates, treat any specific October event date you read as unverified.
The historical Halloween codes are all dead: HAUNTED, TWITCHORTREAT, HALLOWHOOPS and NOTATRICK have each expired. That matters because at least one currently-ranking list still shows HAUNTED as active. The pattern across previous years is that a Halloween code appears when the event goes live, not before it — so there is nothing to redeem today, and nothing to pre-empt.
What players actually ask about ROADTRIP
ROADTRIP is the newest code and generated the most confusion on the subreddit, so it is worth clearing up. The cosmetic it grants is the free item you would normally receive for buying Shane Wiigwaas as a DLC pack on Steam or console rather than unlocking him in-game. As one player on the thread put it, these codes "were previously reserved for content creators to drop in their own campaigns" — this is the first time the cosmetic has been handed out openly, which is why longtime players were surprised to see it.
You can redeem it whether or not you own the character. The code will accept; the cosmetic simply sits locked to Shane until you have him.
Full expired code list, with dates
Moving dead codes into a dated table is the whole point of this page. If a code is here, it will return an error.

FAQ
How many working Dead by Daylight codes are there in October 2026? Nine verified codes plus the permanent Pride badge and charm block. Only one of those nine grants Bloodpoints. Lists claiming fifty-plus active codes are counting expired strings.
Is there a DBD code for free Bloodpoints right now? One: PLAYXENOMORPHIN2V8, worth 200,000 Bloodpoints. It was added on 9 September 2026 for the Alien 2v8 event, which ended on 29 September, so redeem it immediately.
When does STARSGUIDE expire? 10 October 2026, per the redemption window recorded on the Stardotter banner's wiki page. It is the only currently active code with a confirmed October deadline.
Do Dead by Daylight codes expire? Bloodpoint and event codes almost always do, usually within weeks. Cosmetic codes tied to permanent badges and charms — the Pride block, REDDIT1MIL, LETSROLL, WARRIORPUPPERS — have stayed live for years.
Can I use the same code twice? No. Attempting it returns "This code has already been claimed." Behaviour has not said whether the same code works on a separate account, so do not count on it.
Where do I enter codes in Dead by Daylight? In-game only: Store, then the Featured tab, then Redeem Code. There is no website redemption page.
Will codes take me over the 5 million Bloodpoint cap? Yes. Bloodpoints from promotional codes are explicitly exempt from the cap and overflow past it.
Is there a Haunted by Daylight 2026 code? Not yet. Behaviour has not published event dates or a code. Every historical Halloween code, including HAUNTED, has expired.
