Farm Aluminium Like a Pro in Dune: Awakening

In Dune: Awakening, aluminium ore is one of the most important resources for crafting T4 equipment like ornithopters, upgraded Buggies and other gear. However, obtaining and processing it isn't as simple as mining other materials. You will need aluminium in large quantities, so planning your mining and refining operations carefully is key.

Where to Find Aluminium Ore

The best location to mine aluminium is the Eastern Shield Wall, located north of the Vermilius Gap. There are 2 large mountains with lots of aluminium nodes scattered around them and on their peaks, use the below map for your reference.

Efficient Mining and Storage Strategies

Since aluminium ore is really heavy, carrying large quantities on foot is impractical. Build yourself a steel-tier buggy with 1500v carry capacity, and upgrade your buggy inventory and cutteray to aluminium tier as soon as possibly to supercharge your farm. Higher-tier vehicles can carry even more, hugely improving efficiency.

To avoid constant trips back to your base, aim at acquiring a larger inventory module for your Buggy as a priority. That way you will be able to farm more each trip, reducing the amount of time spent travelling.

Managing Water for Refining

Refining aluminium consumes a lot of water 200ml per ingot. To avoid interruptions, ensure you have a robust moisture farm and excess water storage to maintain production without having to halt. Running out of water mid-refining can slow your progression, so always keep an eye on your reserves. If possible, designate a guild member or several for farming water exclusively.
