Current phase: Season 2, 1 November 2026. The Evo went out to Club Members today, and this page reflects what was known at 16:10 UTC. We found no EA acknowledgement of the bug on its news or help pages, and a search of EA's Direct Communication posts turned up none, so the cause is still unconfirmed.
TLDR: David Luiz Evo missing. It should be in Ultimate Team > Club > Evolutions > Rewards tab, listed as Luiz Legacy. If it isn't there: check Unassigned, close FC 27 fully and reopen it, play a match, then give it 24 hours, EA's stated window. If it's still missing, open an EA Help case. Where should the David Luiz Evo be after you claim it?
In the Rewards tab of the Evolutions screen. EA's article says the reward is "found in the 'Rewards' section of the Evolution menu" (EA, 28 October). Its help page gives the same route: Evolutions earned through rewards sit under "the Rewards tab on the Evolutions screen", reached from the Club tab (EA Help, Evolutions).
The name is the first thing to check. EA calls it the Hall of FUT - David Luiz Pathway Evolution, but fut.gg's copy of the in-game data lists it as Luiz Legacy (fut.gg, Evo 2646). Searching the list for "David Luiz" could lead you to think it isn't there.

Most of the 20 replies across those threads are players saying the same happened to them. One replied that they had checked every tab and their Rewards section held only three older Evos, so this isn't always a case of not scrolling far enough.
Two things stand out. The Evo can be accepted before it's visible, which suggests a delay or sync problem and not a lost entitlement, though that's our reading and EA hasn't confirmed it. And the Season Pass comment means this may not be unique to Luiz, so treat it as a claim-flow issue that today's mass drop made obvious.
What can you try if the David Luiz Evo is missing?
Work through these in order. EA hasn't published a fix, so these are its general steps for missing rewards plus what players have reported, from the quick checks through to EA support.
- Check the Rewards tab properly. Go to Ultimate Team, then Club, then Evolutions, then Rewards, and scroll the full list looking for Luiz Legacy. A reply on the main thread asked exactly this, because the main Evo page doesn't show it.
- Check Unassigned. The popup claim goes through that screen, so look for anything left there and deal with it. One player says a store pack will warn you that you have items to deal with if something is stuck. Don't test that with a pack you'd have to buy: if nothing is stuck, it will simply open and take your coins.
- Close FC 27 fully and reopen it. Quit to the dashboard or desktop instead of backing out of Ultimate Team. EA's first troubleshooting step is to "Restart Ultimate Team", followed by a restart of your PC or console (EA Help, missing rewards).
- Play a match, then look again. This rests on a single report from today, but it costs you nothing, but treat it as an anecdote, since nothing shows that a match restores a missing Evo.
- Wait out the 24 hours. EA's wording is "Missing EA SPORTS FC™ rewards can take up to 24 hours to appear." If you claimed it this morning, that window runs into Monday morning UTC.
- Open an EA Help case. If it's still missing after 24 hours, contact EA and give them the time you claimed it. Don't expect this to be quick: a player on EA's FC 27 bug report board said their case over an Evo missing from Rewards had been open for more than a week.
EA also tells players to check its Direct Communication account on X for known issues, so look there before you open a case. If EA posts about this bug, this page will be updated.
Why did I never get the Club Member popup?
Three causes are worth ruling out before you assume you've hit the bug:
- You aren't a Club Member. EA's rule is to "play both EA SPORTS FC™ 26 and EA SPORTS FC™ 27 before 1 November, 2026" (EA, Club Membership). Our Club Member deadline guide covers the cut-off by time zone.
- You're checking the app. A player on the Luiz Legacy thread couldn't see it on the app, and another replied that you claim it by opening the game. EA doesn't address this, but it's a quick thing to try.
- You're on a different account. The Evo belongs to the EA Account that qualified, so check you're logged in to the right one.

EA's own article publishes no deadline and says you can complete the Evo "at your own pace", so there's no reason to rush a pick while you wait.

What does Luiz Legacy upgrade, and which option should you pick?
Levels 1 and 2 are the same for everyone. Level 1 takes 2 matches and level 2 takes 1. They add +15 OVR (cap 85), Block+, and big boosts to defending and physical stats, plus +15 Acceleration and Sprint Speed (cap 78). Level 3 takes 1 match and is where you choose.

EA's preview and the live data don't match exactly. EA promised Penalties and a defensive PlayStyle on Path 2 and passing on Path 3, while fut.gg shows Long Ball Pass under B, Relentless under C and no Penalties anywhere. We've matched the options by their attributes, so read the in-game text before you lock it in. EA says you can "swap your Evolution Pathway at any time" until you claim a level.
Our pick: Option B for a ball-playing CB and Option C for a slower, physical one. Fut.gg badges B as Recommended on the Evo, yet its per-card ratings list C on 731 of the 1,139 cards that reach 85, B on 403 and A on just 5. Option A is a novelty unless you want a free-kick taker at centre-back.
Which cards are best for Luiz Legacy?
Any card rated 70 or higher finishes at 85, which makes 1,139 of the 3,151. These totals come from fut.gg's eligible and evolved lists, matched card by card on the path fut.gg lists for each. Of those, 756 start at 70 to 74, so even a silver can reach the cap. What separates the 85s is pace.
963 of the 1,139 finish on 75 to 79 PAC, and only 53 reach 80 or more. That's the fair complaint on Reddit: the entry limit allows 85 PAC, but Acceleration and Sprint Speed only rise to 78 or 79. So choose by which gap you need to close. A slow card gains a lot, while a fast card keeps pace it already has.

Ratings are fut.gg's GG scores on 1 November, and PAC is shown before and after on the listed option. Check your chosen card's preview in-game, because a card that already holds 3 or 4 PlayStyles won't gain the path PlayStyle. That applies to 249 of the 1,139.
Block+ is the quiet value here. It reaches every eligible card through Luiz Legacy for free, whereas the PlayStyle+ Lab charges 5,000 coins for it and only takes Star Performer cards.
Is it worth waiting for, or should you use something else?
Wait. It's free, it takes 4 matches, and even a 70-rated silver can reach 85. You don't need to do anything else to protect it, because nothing suggests the reward can expire while it's missing. Today's Evos with real deadlines, such as Two Faces of Fear, are the ones to play first.
The one use is the main decision. Check which CB you'd still want in a month, and if you're short of options, the latest Evo rankings show what else is running.
