One clogged your club, the other went into an SBC as fodder if the nations aligned. In FC 27, duplicates count the same as the original. Every untradeable card stacks directly toward your target score regardless of whether you already own that player.
2. Partial Progress Saved Between Sessions
"Streamlined SBCs also support partial progress. That means you do not need to complete the full requirement in a single submission. You can submit some Items, make progress towards the target, and come back later to complete it."
If an SBC expires before you finish it, EA has confirmed you will "receive some packs in return to ensure you don't lose out completely." No more losing your entire fodder investment because a time-limited SBC reset at midnight.
3. No Chemistry, Position, or Nationality Requirements
Any 83-rated card from any league earns 50 points. The nationality and chemistry stacking that defined fodder selection in FC 26 — buying three Serie A players specifically so your Juve striker hit chemistry — is gone for the majority of SBCs. Your cheapest eligible card from the market is as good as any other card at the same OVR.
Which SBCs Keep the Traditional Format?
Marquee Matchups, Daily Puzzles, and other "puzzle-like Challenge SBCs" will keep the standard squad-building format with chemistry, position requirements, and squad OVR thresholds. These fixture-specific SBCs are designed around weekly match pairings, so the squad-building puzzle remains the point. For everything else — POTM player SBCs, upgrade packs, most milestone rewards — Streamlined is the default going forward.
How Streamlined SBCs Connect to FUT Gallery
The item score in Streamlined SBCs uses the same formula as FUT Gallery, FC 27's new permanent collection system. In the Gallery, you build Sets grouped by Nation, League, Club, and Campaign. As your Set reaches higher grades (D through S tier), you earn Gallery Tokens redeemable in the Gallery Token Store for kits, badges, cosmetics, and the new Hall of FUT historical items.

Mid tier — 83 to 87 OVR (50 to 85 pts each): The 83 OVR breakpoint (50 pts) makes these the first efficient fodder tier. An 83-rated card bought for 1,500–2,000 coins at launch prices delivers 2.5× the score of an 82. Use these to top off targets or whenever the bulk tier is too slow.
Premium tier — 88+ OVR (100+ pts each): Reserve for SBCs with high-value rewards. At 100 to 10,000 points, a single card in this range can complete 20 to 100% of a mid-tier SBC requirement alone. The coin efficiency is high when the SBC reward justifies it.
Early trading angle: The first 48 to 72 hours of the launch weekend typically produce the cheapest 82-rated cards of the entire season as the market floods. In FC 26 we tracked 82-rated Serie A and Bundesliga cards drop below 700 coins within 36 hours of the big launch-weekend POTM pack event — they recovered past 1,200 coins within four days once the first major SBC launched.
