Marvel Rivals Rank Rewards (Season 10.5): How to Get Jeff Razor-Tooth Before November 13

Marvel Rivals Rank Rewards (Season 10.5): How to Get Jeff Razor-Tooth Before November 13

Quick answer (TL;DR): The Season 10.5 Gold-tier ranked reward is the Jeff the Land Shark "Razor-Tooth" costume (official Version 20261009 notes). To get it you must play 10 Competitive matches during Season 10.5 and be at Gold III or higher when the half-season ends, which is when Season 11 launches on November 13, 2026. Since Season 5, NetEase pays out on your rank at the end of the half, not your peak, so dropping to Silver I in the final week costs you the skin. Grandmaster and up also earn a Crest of Honor, and the Top 500 earn the One Above All crest. Both are paid once, on your rank when Season 10 ends (the same November 13 cutoff). You have about 15 days left. Today's patch, Version 20261029, changed no hero numbers, so you're still climbing on the October 9 meta.

Updated October 29, 2026, for Season 10.5. We refresh this page every half-season with the new reward and deadline.

Most rank-reward guides still say "reach Gold once and you're safe." That was true before Season 5. It isn't the rule now, and it's the one detail that decides whether you open Season 11 with a new Jeff skin or without it. Below: what each rank pays this season, the exact eligibility rules from NetEase's own notes, the traps that void rewards, and a 15-day plan to lock it in.

What are the Marvel Rivals rank rewards in Season 10.5?

Season 10 runs in two halves. Season 10.0 ran from September 11 to October 9, and Season 10.5 runs from October 9, 2026 (09:00 UTC) until Season 11 opens on November 13. Each half has its own Gold costume. Crests and nameplate frames are paid once for the whole season.

The Season 10.5 notes are short on this. The whole ranked section is one line: "Season 10.5 Gold-tier costume reward is Jeff the Land Shark - Razor-Tooth." The eligibility rules come from the Season 5 notes (Version 20251114), which set the system still in use today: Gold costumes are paid "one costume per half-season," and "Crests of Honor (inc. Top 500) and Nameplate Frame rewards are now granted once per season at the season's end."

The in-game Competitive Rules screen lists the rewards for every rank tier. This is a Season 2.5 capture: its written rules (2 bans, half-season Top 500 crest) are outdated, only the layout still applies

To see exactly which crest and frame your tier pays this season, open Competitive → Rules in game. The Rank and Season Rewards strip shows the reward icons under each tier, from Bronze to One Above All. The screenshot above is from Season 2.5, so ignore its rule text: bans are now three per team and crests are paid once per full season.

Do you need to reach Gold or finish at Gold for the Razor-Tooth skin?

Finish. This is where a lot of players get caught. Here's the official rule, word for word from the Season 5 notes:

"To earn the Gold tier costume reward for a half-season, you must complete 10 ranked matches in that season's half and finish at Gold rank or higher at the end of the half-season." — NetEase, Marvel Rivals Version 20251114 patch notes

Before Season 5, the costume was tied to your season high. Dev Talk Vol.10 said players at Gold or above "(season high)" got the costume (Dev Talk Vol.10). Guides written back then said "hit Gold III once and you're done," and many still repeat it. The current wording says finish. Treat it that way:

  • If you're in Gold III or low Gold II: a three-loss tilt in the final week can drop you back into Silver. Stop queueing once you're safely above the line, or play only when you're fresh.
  • If you're Silver I or lower right now: you need net RP, not just games. Each division is 100 points, so Silver I to Gold III is a single promotion.
  • If you're Platinum or higher: you only need your 10 Season 10.5 matches. Matches from Season 10.0 don't count toward this half.

Season-end crests work the same way. The rule is "meet the required rank at season's end", so a Grandmaster crest needs you to be Grandmaster on November 13, not to have touched it in October.

What else can void your Season 10.5 rewards?

Three rules from the official Season 5 notes catch people every season:

  • Unfinished placements = no season rewards. "If you don't finish all placement matches this season, you will not receive any season rewards." If you finished placements in Season 10.0, you keep that rank in 10.5. If you didn't, you have to finish them in 10.5 to be eligible at all.
  • The 10 matches have to be played in this half. Placement games count, but anything you played before October 9 doesn't.
  • Disconnects during placements count as losses. If you drop and the match ends more than 90 seconds later, you take the loss and a ranked suspension. On a bad connection, finish your placements early, not on November 12.

For context, most players are already eligible on rank alone. In the RivalsTracker count of 1,034,781 tracked PC profiles (Season 10, read October 8, via LFCarry's rank distribution), 66.31% sat at Gold or higher and 33.69% were in Bronze or Silver. Silver III alone held 14.78%, the single most crowded division on the ladder. If you're in that third, Razor-Tooth is anywhere from a 1-division climb (Silver I) to a 6-division climb (Bronze III).

How much RP do you need to reach Gold III by November 13?

Every division is 100 RP, and three divisions make a tier. The table below assumes you're at 0 RP in your current division; subtract whatever you already have. It spreads the net gain across the 15 days left from October 29:

Your rank nowDivisions to Gold IIINet RP neededNet RP per day (15 days)
Bronze III660040
Bronze I4400~27
Silver III330020
Silver II2200~14
Silver I1100~7

NetEase doesn't publish a fixed RP-per-win number. Gains change with the result, your performance and MVP, and win streaks pay more. So treat the table as net points to bank, not a win count. As a rough illustration, a Silver III player who finishes each day a couple of wins ahead of their losses gets there inside two weeks. A Bronze III player needs to finish clearly ahead almost every session.

The trap isn't the climb, it's the timing. In an r/marvelrivals thread about the 10.5 reward, one player said they hoped it would be a proper new skin and not a recolor, as a make-good for a half-season with no new hero. Plenty of players are lukewarm on Jeff, and those are exactly the ones who skip ranked until the last weekend and then miss the cutoff by one division.

Which heroes should you play to climb to Gold fastest?

The balance hasn't moved since October 9. All three patches since then (Version 20261015 with All Hallows' Glow, Version 20261022 with the Avengers: Endgame mode, and today's Version 20261029 with the Night of Illusions event) only added content and bug fixes (official 20261029 notes). Today's fixes do matter a little for two heroes: Invisible Woman's stealth from Veiled Step now reliably breaks when she casts other abilities, and Gorr can no longer fly out of the map with Shadow Harvest right after spawning a Black Berserker.

The strongest climbing picks on the current balance, per Counterwatch all-ranks win rates updated October 28, 2026 (community-sample rates from opted-in Counterwatch players, blended toward 50% for small samples, not an official NetEase stat):

RoleBest pickWin rateBackup
VanguardPeni Parker58.2%Devil Dinosaur (53.3%)
DuelistStorm56.3%Gorr (55.0%), Magik (54.6%)
StrategistUltron57.4%Mantis (55.1%), Rocket Raccoon (54.1%)

Two rules matter more than which hero you pick:

  • Have a second hero ready for each role. Once every player in the lobby is Gold III or higher, each team bans three heroes. That rule dates from Season 7. The most-banned heroes in Competitive over the last eight weeks are Devil Dinosaur 38%, Spider-Man 28% and Peni Parker 27%, across 96,883 matches with a ban phase (Counterwatch ban rates, updated October 28). Your best Vanguard is banned in more than a quarter of Gold-plus games. Below Gold III there's no ban phase, so your main is always available, but the moment you cross into Gold you'll start losing picks.
  • Queue with a friend. From Bronze to Grandmaster any party size except a five-stack is allowed. One reliable duo partner stops most of the throws that cost you 1–2 divisions in a bad session. (While anyone is in placements, parties cap at three and ranks must be under three divisions apart.)

How do the Crest of Honor and Top 500 rewards work?

The in-game Crest of Honor screen (a Season 1 capture), where your Grandmaster-and-up season crest shows up after the season ends

Crests are the prestige layer. NetEase introduced separate designs for Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity and One Above All (the top 500) in Season 1.5 (Dev Talk Vol.10). You equip them on your name card. Since Season 5 they're paid once per season, at the season's end, so the Season 10 crest is decided on November 13 by your rank at that moment.

How rare is it? In the same October 8 count, Grandmaster and up was the top 8.14% of tracked PC profiles, Celestial and up the top 1.38%, and Eternity plus One Above All together just 0.09%. Remember that Celestial and above queue solo or duo only, so the last push for a Celestial crest is a lot harder than the same climb in Diamond.

The One Above All crest goes to the Top 500 by points when the season ends. Holding a Top 500 spot on November 1 counts for nothing if you've slipped out of it by November 13.

What happens to your rank on November 13?

Placement screen: when Season 11 starts you get a projected rank and 10 placement matches (capture from an earlier season)

Season 10.5 didn't reset ranks. Season 11 does. Per the Season 5 rules NetEase still uses:

  • Your first 10 ranked matches in Season 11 are placement matches.
  • Returning players who have completed placements before start from a predicted rank of their Season 10 final rank minus three divisions. First-time placements use extra rules, including a historical-peak estimate capped at Platinum II. Celestial II and above restart at Grandmaster II, and Bronze III to Silver III restart at Bronze III.
  • After the tenth game, your own performance adjusts the result by up to ±100 points (a Season 7 addition).

So November 13 sets three things at once: your Razor-Tooth eligibility, your Season 10 crest, and where your Season 11 placements start. Every division you climb before then is worth roughly a division at the start of Season 11 as well. For the full launch picture (date, expected start time and the two heroes NetEase has promised), see our Season 11 release date guide.

How should you use the 15 days left to lock in your rewards?

  • Today: check two numbers. Open Competitive and check how many Season 10.5 matches you've played and whether your placements are complete. If you're under 10, those matches come first.
  • This week (Oct 29 – Nov 4): do the climbing. Play your best two heroes per role from the table above. Stop after two losses in a row. Tilt queues are how Silver players lose 200 RP in an evening.
  • Next week (Nov 5 – Nov 10): get a buffer. Aim for one division above the reward line: Gold II for Razor-Tooth, Grandmaster II for the Grandmaster crest. One bad night then won't push you below it.
  • Final 72 hours (Nov 10 – Nov 13): protect what you have. If you're above the line, play only when you'd still be fine after losing a few, or stop. Eternity and One Above All are the exception: those are points races where inactive players can lose ground, so check the in-game Competitive rules for your tier before you go idle. NetEase hasn't printed the exact cutoff time yet. Season 10 and Season 10.5 both opened at 09:00 UTC, and the current events also end at 09:00 UTC on November 13, so treat November 13, 09:00 UTC as the deadline and don't plan any games for that morning.

Out of time before the November 13 cutoff? Our boosters can push you to Gold III or your crest tier before the deadline while you play other things.

FAQ

What is the Season 10.5 Gold reward in Marvel Rivals? The Jeff the Land Shark "Razor-Tooth" costume, confirmed in the official Version 20261009 Season 10.5 patch notes.

How do I get the Razor-Tooth skin? Play at least 10 Competitive matches during Season 10.5 (from October 9) and be at Gold III or higher when the half-season ends on November 13. You also need completed placements for the season.

If I reached Gold once and then dropped to Silver, do I still get the skin? Going by the current official rule, no. Since Season 5 the requirement is to finish the half-season at Gold or higher. The old "season high" rule from Season 1 no longer applies, so make sure you're Gold III or above on November 13.

Can I still get Gorr's Gods' Graveyard costume? No. That was the Season 10.0 Gold reward, and that half ended on October 9, 2026. NetEase hasn't announced any other way to earn it.

When are Crests of Honor given out? Once per season, at the season's end. For Season 10 that's November 13, based on your rank at that point (Grandmaster and up for a Crest of Honor; the Top 500 for the One Above All crest).

Does Season 10.5 reset my rank? No. Season 10.5 kept your Season 10.0 rank. The next reset is Season 11 on November 13: 10 placement matches starting from your Season 10 final rank minus three divisions.
