What is the Gingerscope in MM2?
Gingerscope is an Ancient-rarity gun from Murder Mystery 2's Christmas Event 2023. The MM2 Wiki's Gingerscope page says it "was originally obtainable by purchasing the 20th tier in the Battle Pass for 98,000 Snow Tokens during the 2023 Christmas Event. It is now only obtainable through trading as the event has since ended."
It stands out from other Ancients for a few reasons:
- The look. A tactical sniper rifle made of gingerbread, with white icing, candy pieces, a peppermint-striped grip and a peppermint on the scope.
- The effects. It has a unique red-and-white shooting trail and its own shooting sound. The wiki also lists it as the first gun with a custom holding/idle animation and the first weapon with the yellow FX tag.
- The pedigree. It's one of the final-tier event Ancients, a line the wiki traces through Elderwood Scythe, Logchopper, Hallowscythe, Icebreaker, Harvester, Icepiercer, Traveler's Axe and Swirly Axe.
- Fixed supply. The event ran from December 20, 2023 to February 2, 2024. It hasn't been obtainable from the game since.

The two lists are only 250 apart (about 1.8%) here, which is unusually close for MM2. Gingerscope ranks 2nd of 16 Ancients and 90th of 1,033 priced items on MM2 Values, according to the mm2values.app breakdown. One quirk: the MM2 Wiki infobox still shows 14,750 / 15,000. Those figures are out of date, so use the lists, not the wiki box.
How has the Gingerscope value changed this month?
mm2values.app saves every change to the MM2 Values list (its history starts September 26, 2026). For Gingerscope, October looked like this:

Is Gingerscope worth more than Harvester or Icepiercer?
Yes, by a lot. All three are final-tier battle-pass guns with their own shooting sounds, but Harvester (Halloween 2021) sits at 250 and Icepiercer at 165 on MM2 Values. Is Gingerscope worth more than Chroma Emberscythe?
Slightly less. The MM2 Values Chroma list has Chroma Emberscythe at 15,500 (range 15,000–16,000, Fluctuating) and Chroma Raygun at 12,750 (October 25, 2026), so Gingerscope (14,250) sits between them. Those two are the closest one-for-one stand-ins if you want to trade up or down by a small margin.
How did you get the Gingerscope in MM2?
You can't earn it any more. Here's how it worked in 2023, per the Christmas Event 2023 wiki page:
- Collect Snow Tokens during rounds of the Christmas Event (a rarer flaming token added 3 at once).
- Buy battle pass tiers. The pass had 20 tiers. The first was free and tiers 2–19 cost 800 Snow Tokens each.
- Buy tier 20 for 98,000 Snow Tokens to receive the Gingerscope.
The event ended on February 2, 2024. Since then, trading is the only way to get one. If someone claims a code, a secret map or a website "unlock" gives you a Gingerscope, it's a scam: MM2 codes give minor rewards, never Ancients (see our MM2 codes page). A real player handing one over still has to do it through the normal trade window.
What are the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Blue Gingerscopes?
These are Unique trophy reskins handed out on the Christmas 2023 Snow Token leaderboard. The Gold Gingerscope wiki page says it went to whoever finished 1st on the tokens leaderboard, and that "like all the other unique weapons (except Corrupt), this item is untradable."
MM2 Values still lists nominal figures for them:

Those numbers are prestige figures for untradeable leaderboard trophies (Blue went to top-100 finishers), not trade prices. A Gold, Silver, Bronze or Blue Gingerscope can't be put in a trade window, so any "offer" involving one is a scam.

A few things to know before you trade:
- Buyers seem to have the edge right now. On mm2values.app's own trade feed, Gingerscope was offered in 124 trades and asked for in only 36 over the last 30 days (out of 3,716 posted trades). These are offers on one tracker, not completed trades, but the ratio suggests more people want to sell than buy.
- What holders ask for. When people offer a Gingerscope, the item they most often ask for is Candy (57 times), then Ice Wing and Harvester.
- Pair it with Gingerheart, not Gingerscythe. The partner knife Gingerscythe was a 1,699-Robux Evo gamepass knife and can't be traded, so traders now pair Gingerscope with the Uncommon Gingerheart from Christmas 2024 for a "matching set" look. It adds style, not much value.

Will Gingerscope go up in value before Christmas?
Nobody can promise that, and neither value list predicts. Here's what actually matters:
- No new supply from the game. Gingerscope hasn't been obtainable since February 2024. That limits supply, but it doesn't guarantee a price floor.
- Demand is seasonal. It's a Christmas item, and players notice it more in December. As one player put it in an October 24, 2026 r/MurderMystery2 thread about its price: "Gonna shoot until Christmas." That's a hope, not data.
- A new Christmas event adds competition. MM2 hasn't announced Christmas 2026 yet. The 2023 event started on December 20, 2023 and the 2025 event on December 14, 2025, and the 2025 pass ended in a new gun (the Godly Snowcannon) rather than an Ancient. A fresh holiday item can pull trade attention away from older ones.
- The October trend is down. −12% in two weeks, with offers outnumbering requests more than 3 to 1 on mm2values.app's feed.
Our read: the slide looks like Halloween-season rotation, and Gingerscope is still far above every Ancient below it. But that's an interpretation, not a forecast. If you're buying, there's no obvious rush while offers outnumber requests. If you're selling, December may bring more interested traders, though nothing guarantees it. Re-check the lists before you commit.

How do you avoid Gingerscope trading scams?
- Fake variants. Gold, Silver, Bronze and Blue Gingerscope can't be traded. Walk away from any deal that includes one.
- Gingerscythe "bundles". Gingerscythe is untradeable too. A seller offering "Gingerscope + Gingerscythe" is lying about half the trade.
- Old screenshots. At 16,250 on October 8 vs 14,250 now, a two-week-old value post is already 2,000 off. Check the live list.
- Off-window deals. Use MM2's own trade window, where both sides lock in at the same time. Never send first on a promise.
