Fractured Archive Unique Prices: Sell or Hold Your Raids 4 Loot? (OSRS 2026)

Six days after The Fractured Archive launched, every Raids 4 unique on the Grand Exchange is worth a fraction of its day-two price. The Rondache has lost 87%, the Ascension crossbows 66%, and even the Obligator is down 35%. If you're holding a purple, or deciding whether to raid for GP at all, the question isn't "what drops" (the wiki covers that). It's "what is my loot worth today, where is it heading, and should I sell now?" This guide answers that with live price data.

TL;DR: Should you sell your Fractured Archive uniques?

  • Live prices (26 Oct 2026, ~20:20 UTC, GE mid-price): Obligator ~2.75B, Horn of Bran ~552M, Ascension crossbows ~431M, Zorya's tome ~66M, Rondache ~32.5M. (Source: OSRS Wiki Real-time Prices)
  • Every purple is worth ~380M on average right now, down from ~865M at 21 October prices. That's the unique weighting from the OSRS Wiki drop log) multiplied by live GE prices.
  • A non-purple chest is worth ~315K, which roughly covers a ~163K raid inventory with change left over.
  • Sell now if the GP buys a gear upgrade that makes your next raids faster, or if you hold a Rondache or Zorya's tome (the most common uniques, with supply growing every day).
  • Hold only if you'll use it. The Obligator and Horn of Bran have fallen the least, but nothing in the price history so far suggests a bottom.

The short version: new-raid loot almost always falls for weeks while supply piles up. Bank the GP while it's high, then use it to get better gear and raid faster.

How much are Raids 4 uniques worth right now?

The table below compares each unique's daily average high (instant-buy) price on 21 October (launch day had only a handful of trades, so day two is the first real market) against the live mid-price on 26 October 2026. All data comes from the OSRS Wiki Real-time Prices API, which tracks RuneLite-reported GE trades. Item pages: Obligator, Horn of Bran, Ascension crossbows, Zorya's tome, Rondache. "Live mid" is the midpoint of the latest instant-buy and instant-sell prices.

UniqueChance per purple21 Oct daily avg high26 Oct live midChange
Obligator (uncharged)1/15~4.21B~2.75B-35%
Horn of Bran3/15~1.33B~552M-58%
Ascension crossbows2/15~1.28B~431M-66%
Zorya's tome (uncharged)4/15~237M~66M-72%
Rondache5/15~259M~32.5M-87%

The pattern is exactly what drop weighting predicts. The most common unique has crashed hardest. A Rondache is a 1-in-3 purple, so more of them reach the GE each day. By 25 October, Rondache trade volume had grown roughly five times over its 21 October level (958 buys and 1,301 sells that day versus 194 and 284). The Obligator, at 1/15, has the thinnest supply and the smallest drop.

The opened unique purple chest in The Fractured Archive reward room

What is a Fractured Archive purple worth on average?

According to the OSRS Wiki chest page), which draws on more than 157,000 logged raids, the unique chest picks one item with roughly these weightings: Rondache 5/15, Zorya's tome 4/15, Horn of Bran 3/15, Ascension crossbows 2/15, Obligator 1/15. The wiki notes these rates are conditional: they apply once a purple has already dropped.

Multiply each weighting by its live price and you get the expected value of one purple:

UniqueWeightLive priceValue per purple
Obligator1/15~2.75B~183.6M
Horn of Bran3/15~552M~110.5M
Ascension crossbows2/15~431M~57.5M
Zorya's tome4/15~66M~17.6M
Rondache5/15~32.5M~10.8M
Expected value~380M

At 21 October averages, the same maths gave ~865M per purple. In five days, the raid's value per unique has fallen by more than half. Almost half of today's EV (~184M of ~380M) also comes from the 1/15 Obligator roll, so most purples are worth much less than the average. Three in five purples (9/15) are a Rondache or a Zorya's tome, worth only ~33M or ~66M each.

Can you calculate Raids 4 GP per hour yet?

Not honestly, and anyone quoting a precise number is guessing. The wiki states plainly that "the mechanics and probabilities that determine whether a unique item will drop are not known." Without a purple rate, there's no GP/hour figure, only scenarios.

Here's what is known:

  • Standard loot: with no purple, the chest rolls the standard table three times, and each roll has a 1/51 chance to be multiplied by five. At 26 October prices that works out to ~315K per chest. The biggest stacks are dragon arrowtips (~873K per drop), onyx bolt tips (~441K) and battlestaves (~282K).
  • Tertiaries: the Archivist's folio (~1/16, only if you don't already own one), each of the four elemental fragments (1/80), and an elite clue (~1/12).
  • Junk: players who "perform poorly" get a cabbage, and each death raises that chance. Dying costs you loot as well as time.
  • Supplies: a standard inventory (6 brews, 8 restores, a divine super combat, divine ranging, sanfew, 4 anglerfish) costs ~163K at today's prices.

So, on the listed numbers alone, standard loot (~315K) already covers a typical inventory (~163K). That isn't a guaranteed break-even: runes, weapon charges, ammunition, GE tax and any deaths come on top, and every player's setup is different. Real profit comes from purples, and their value just halved. If your team's purple rate turns out to be 1 in 20, each raid adds ~19M of unique value at today's prices. At 1 in 40 it adds ~9.5M. These are illustrative rates, not confirmed ones, and they describe the value of purples your team sees. How purples are assigned between team members isn't documented, so your personal share can be lower. Plug in your own numbers once you've logged enough clears.

Obligator (uncharged), the Fractured Archive megarare

Should you sell the Obligator or keep it?

The Obligator is a two-handed crush weapon that needs 85 Attack. The OSRS Wiki item page) explains that in its thrust style it rolls damage twice per hit, adds a roll when the target's stab or slash defence is higher than its crush, and deals 20% or 40% bonus damage to 2x2 and 3x3+ targets. Its 3-tick smash style gives these up for speed and hits a single target. The wiki says that against crush-weak enemies it "will beat out the Scythe of Vitur and Soulreaper axe."

Sell if: you don't already own a top-tier melee weapon. At ~2.75B, one Obligator is worth almost two Twisted bows (~1.41B each today). That GP can max out most other slots in your setup.

Keep if: you already have a Scythe and Tbow, and you raid or boss crush-weak content often enough that the upgrade pays for itself in time saved. Also note the running cost: each 10 charges takes 1 ascension shard, 20 nature runes and 20 death runes. The item is only tradeable when fully uncharged, so uncharge it before you list.

It has dropped the least of the five because of its 1/15 rarity, but it's still down 35% in five days. Of all the uniques, this is the strongest case for "hold if you'll use it," and the weakest case for holding as a speculative bet.

Is the Horn of Bran worth selling?

The Horn of Bran isn't gear. You take it to Camelot to unlock the Zeal prayer, which Jagex pitched as a Piety upgrade. That makes it an account unlock that every serious PvMer will eventually want, which supports demand. At 3/15, though, it's the third most common purple, so the market is still absorbing a steady flow.

Verdict: if you'll use Zeal yourself, use it, because you'd pay ~552M to buy one. If you won't, selling is the reasonable call. It has lost 58% since 21 October, with no sign yet of the decline stopping.

Horn of Bran and Ascension crossbows, Fractured Archive uniques

What about the Ascension crossbows, Zorya's tome and Rondache?

  • Ascension crossbows (~431M): Jagex's own description was "effectively a raid-tier upgrade to the Toxic Blowpipe." They're down 66%, and the 6-hour price dipped below 380M early on 26 October before partly recovering. They also burn ascension bolts. Sell unless ranged speed is your bottleneck.
  • Zorya's tome (~66M): the 3-tick magic weapon built around its special attack. Jagex also hotfixed the "pre-stacking" trick on 22 October, so you can't charge up its spec on a POH dummy before a fight anymore. At this price it's a cheap, fun upgrade, but there are four of them for every Obligator.
  • Rondache (~32.5M): a shield that cuts 2 damage from incoming melee, ranged and magic hits. It's the most common purple and has fallen the hardest (-87%). If you don't plan to wear it, sell it before even more come out of the raid.

Will Raids 4 prices keep falling?

Three things on the official record point down, or at least sideways:

  • Jagex isn't changing loot yet. In the 22 October update, Jagex said it "won't be making any initial changes for anything that isn't a bug, we're waiting to see where things start to shake out as players' comfort levels with the raid and new uniques settles before identifying potential tweaks." (Source: Jagex, "The Fractured Archive: Out Today"). More comfortable teams clear faster, so more purples reach the GE.
  • Clears are getting cheaper to learn. Death costs in the raid are reduced by 75% until you've completed it 5 times (OSRS Wiki). That lowers the cost of learning, so more players will start raiding.
  • The hotfix slowed some rooms, but not the meta. Jagex wrote: "Many of you have noticed that the Twisted Bow has been performing particularly well inside The Fractured Archive (especially in larger groups)." It then capped Defence reduction on six NPCs so their Defence can only be lowered to 60% of its base value (a 40% reduction at most), and noted this "may increase the duration of some rooms." Slightly slower kills reduce supply a little, but not enough to reverse a five-fold rise in daily volume.

Ascension shards show the same effect on the common drops. The resource used to charge the Obligator peaked at ~1,935 gp (23 October daily average) and traded around ~800 gp on 26 October.

The one counter-signal: every unique bounced slightly in the latest 6-hour window on 26 October as buyers stepped in. Treat it as a chance to sell into demand, not proof the market has bottomed.

How should you use Raids 4 loot to make more GP?

Turn a falling asset into a lasting one. A sold Rondache plus a few days of standard loot is enough for a real gear upgrade, and better gear means faster clears and more purples. If you're unsure which slot to buy first, our OSRS gear upgrade order guide ranks them by damage per million. If you're still building toward an entry setup, the Raids 4 gear and GP guide breaks down three budgets. Choosing between megarares? Twisted Bow vs Scythe of Vitur is a close match for the Obligator decision.

Short on GP for the upgrade that gets your team clearing faster? Top up your bank and spend this week raiding while uniques are still worth something.

FAQ

How much is the Obligator worth in OSRS? About 2.75B on the Grand Exchange as of 26 October 2026, down from a ~4.21B average on 21 October, the first full trading day after launch. It's the rarest Raids 4 unique at roughly 1/15 per purple.

What is the rarest drop in The Fractured Archive? The Obligator. When a unique drops, it's chosen at roughly 1/15, compared with 5/15 for the Rondache, the most common purple (OSRS Wiki drop log).

Is The Fractured Archive profitable? A clean clear without a purple is worth ~315K in standard loot, which covers a ~163K supply inventory. Real profit depends on purples, worth ~380M each on average at current prices. The exact purple rate hasn't been published, so precise GP/hour figures aren't reliable yet.

What does the Horn of Bran do? You take it to Camelot to unlock the Zeal prayer, a Piety upgrade. It's tradeable, and was trading at about 552M on 26 October 2026.

Why did Raids 4 unique prices crash? Supply. Thousands of raids a day add new uniques to the GE, and the common ones (Rondache, Zorya's tome) fell 70-87% within a week. That's normal for a new raid, and Jagex has said it won't change loot until the raid settles.

Should I sell my Raids 4 drop now or wait? If you won't use it, selling sooner has generally beaten waiting: all five uniques are far below their 21 October prices, although not every item fell every day (the Obligator's daily average held around 3.84B from 22 to 24 October before dropping). If it directly speeds up your raids or bossing, keeping it can be worth more than the GP.
