Nothing stalls a Palworld base harder than a dead Power Generator. The moment you unlock Assembly Lines, Electric Furnaces and Production Assembly Lines, every late-game loop — refining ore, mass-crafting ammo, running an Electric Kitchen — depends on a steady electricity supply, and that supply comes from exactly one place: a Pal with the Generating Electricity Work Suitability stood at the generator. The problem is that most "best electric Pal" lists still circulating are from the January-2024 early-access game, where Work Suitability capped at Level 5 and half these Pals had different numbers. Palworld's 1.0 release on July 10, 2026 raised Work Suitability to 10 levels and rebalanced the entire roster — so the Pal a 2024 guide tells you to use is often two tiers lower than its replacement. This guide gives you the Generating Electricity tier list that is actually correct in 1.0 (build v1.0.5): every Pal ranked by its real suitability level, the exact generator you power them with, and the setup that stops a base from browning out.
Quick answer: The best electric Pal in Palworld 1.0 is Orserk at Generating Electricity Lv.8 — the highest base level in the game, and the only Pal that reaches the Lv.10 cap purely through a 4-star Pal Condenser, no Handbooks needed. Below it, the new Sunreach Pals Solmora Lux and Dynamoff sit at Lv.6, then Grizzbolt and Fenglope Lux at Lv.5. Early on, Sparkit and Jolthog (Lv.1) are enough to light your first generator. One high-level electric Pal beats a stack of low-level ones: the suitability level sets how much power is produced, so a single condensed Orserk out-generates six Sparkits. Power the standard Power Generator (Technology Lv.26, 50 Ingot + 20 Electric Organ, one worker slot) and let base research plus work-speed passives do the rest.

How does Generating Electricity work in Palworld 1.0?
Generating Electricity is one of the Work Suitabilities a Pal can have. A Pal that has it can be assigned to a power structure — the Power Generator is the core one — and will stand there converting itself into electricity for the base. Many critical late-game structures (Assembly Lines, Electric Furnace, Electric Kitchen, Production Assembly Line, Crusher) only run while the generator is powered, so a base without a reliable electric Pal simply stops producing.
Three rules decide everything about your power supply, and they are exactly what the Reddit "Electricity Bottleneck" threads keep tripping over:
- Suitability level sets output, not the number of Pals. A Pal with Generating Electricity Lv.8 produces far more power than one at Lv.1. Stacking six low-level Pals on generators is the single most common mistake — one fully-condensed high-level electric Pal does the job of many. As one player put it on r/Palworld: "One fully condensed Penking Lux can run any gen on their own."
- Work-speed passives and Pal Souls control how fast, not how much. The level is the throughput ceiling; passive skills like Artisan and Work Speed upgrades at the Statue of Power make the Pal work faster toward it.
- Oil, not Pals, is usually the real bottleneck. Generators themselves don't need oil, but the Crude Oil extractors feeding your Refineries do — several of the players flooding their base with extractors only needed one good one plus electricity research. Fix the power first, then right-size the oil.
Where do you unlock the Power Generator?
The standard Power Generator unlocks in the Technology tree at Technology Level 26 for 3 Technology Points, and is crafted from 50 Ingot + 20 Electric Organ. It takes one worker slot, so a single electric Pal runs it — which is exactly why that Pal's suitability level matters so much. Like every production structure it must be placed inside a Palbox base radius. Assign an electric Pal by throwing its Pal Sphere inside the base or deploying it from the Palbox — it will path to the generator on its own if it has the Generating Electricity suitability.
Later, the Large Power Generator (Technology Lv.49, 4 Ancient Technology Points) adds a structure that takes two electric Pals at once, for bases drawing heavy late-game power.
Palworld best electric Pals — Generating Electricity tier list (1.0)
Every level below is the current 1.0 value, verified against the official Palworld wiki patch history and cross-checked on IGN and community trackers. Where a number changed since early access, that's noted — those are exactly the Pals a stale guide gets wrong.
| Tier | Pal | Gen. Electricity Lv | Notes (1.0) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Orserk | 8 (→10 at ★4) | Dragon/Electric. Highest base level in the game; the only Pal that hits the Lv.10 cap through a 4-star Condenser alone, no Handbooks. Wild-catchable at the World Tree (Lv.74–76) in 1.0, or bred. Endgame power king. |
| A | Solmora Lux | 6 | New Sunreach Pal (1.0), Water/Electric. Wild-catchable at Sky Island / World Tree fishing spots (Lv.65–79). A player-favourite base generator. |
| A | Dynamoff | 6 | New Sunreach Pal (1.0), Electric. Catchable in the Sunreach Skies dungeon (Lv.63–69). IGN's pick for the second-best electric worker. |
| B | Grizzbolt | 5 | The Rayne Syndicate (Tower 1) boss Pal; wild-catchable, the easiest strong electric worker to acquire mid-game. |
| B | Fenglope Lux | 5 | Electric variant; rebalanced 2 → 5 in 1.0. |
| C | Beakon | 4 | Rebalanced 2 → 4 in 1.0. A stale guide lists it at 2. |
| C | Rayhound | 4 | Rebalanced 2 → 4 in 1.0. |
| C | Mossanda Lux | 4 | Electric variant; rebalanced 2 → 4 in 1.0. |
| C | Relaxaurus Lux | 4 | Rebalanced 3 → 4; Dragon/Electric. |
| D | Univolt | 3 | Rebalanced 2 → 3 in 1.0. Reliable early-to-mid catch. |
| D | Dazzi | 3 | Rebalanced 1 → 3 in 1.0. |
| D | Slowatt | 3 | New Sunreach Pal (1.0), Electric. Sky Island spawn (Lv.60–70); breeds into Solmora Lux. |
| E | Sparkit | 1 | Starter electric Pal — enough to light your first generator around Tech Lv.26. |
| E | Jolthog | 1 | Starter electric Pal; common early catch. |
S-tier: Orserk is the only endgame answer
Orserk (Dragon/Electric) is the strongest electric worker in Palworld 1.0 by a clear margin. Its base Generating Electricity is Lv.8, and because a 4-star Pal Condenser raises a single-suitability Pal's best work level, Orserk is the only Pal that reaches the Lv.10 maximum for Generating Electricity purely through condensing — no Work Suitability Handbooks required. That makes one condensed Orserk the most power you can put on a generator, period. In 1.0, Orserk is no longer breed-only: it now has a wild spawn at the World Tree around Lv.74–76 (data-mined on paldb), so you can catch one outright, or breed it if you'd rather not fight at that level.
A-tier: Solmora Lux and Dynamoff bridge the mid-to-late game
The two best Pals you'll actually get your hands on before Orserk are both new 1.0 Sunreach Pals. Solmora Lux (Water/Electric) and Dynamoff (Electric) each sit at Generating Electricity Lv.6 — plenty to run multiple Power Generators through most of the campaign. They live in the Sunreach sky-island region added in 1.0: Solmora Lux is catchable around Sky Island and World Tree fishing spots (Lv.65–79), and Dynamoff spawns in the Sunreach Skies dungeon (Lv.63–69), so both arrive right as your electricity demand spikes. Condense a couple of these and your power problems are solved long before the endgame.
B/C-tier: catchable workhorses while you build up
If you're not in Sunreach yet, Grizzbolt (Lv.5) is the easiest strong electric Pal to get — it's the Rayne Syndicate tower boss and catchable in the wild. The Lv.4 cluster (Beakon, Rayhound, Mossanda Lux, Relaxaurus Lux) are all fine generator Pals, and most of them — Beakon, Rayhound and Mossanda Lux especially — were buffed from Lv.2 to Lv.4 in 1.0, which is exactly why you shouldn't trust a 2024 ranking.
D/E-tier: starters to get the lights on
Sparkit and Jolthog (both Lv.1) are what you'll use the moment the Power Generator unlocks around Technology Lv.26. Univolt (Lv.3, up from Lv.2) and Dazzi (Lv.3, up from Lv.1) are a step up and easy to breed or catch. They won't carry a late-game base, but they'll keep one Electric Furnace lit while you work toward the A-tier.
How do you get more power out of one electric Pal?
Picking the right Pal is step one; the suitability level is the ceiling. Three stacking systems raise how much and how fast that Pal actually produces:
- Condensing (Pal Condenser). A 4-star condense costs 48 Pals in 1.0 (down from 116 in early access) and raises a single-suitability Pal's work level. This is the mechanic that pushes Orserk from Lv.8 to the Lv.10 cap. See our Palworld condensing guide for the full star-cost breakdown.
- Work-speed passives. The best passives for a worker Pal are Remarkable Craftsmanship (+75% Work Speed), Artisan (+50%), Work Slave (+30%, −30% Attack) and Serious (+20%); Lucky adds +15% Work Speed alongside +15% Attack. Breed them onto your electric Pal, or add Artisan at a merchant. Our best passive skills guide and the how to change passive skills guide cover how to roll them.
- Pal Souls at the Statue of Power. Investing Pal Souls into a Pal's Work Speed gives +3% per rank, up to +60% across 20 ranks — a flat, permanent speed boost on top of passives. Full process in our Pal Souls and Statue of Power guide.
- Pal Labor Research Lab. Built at Technology Lv.19 (2 Technology Points), this base structure researches permanent, base-wide output boosts per work type — including Generating Electricity. Start researching it early and it quietly raises the ceiling on every electric Pal you ever assign.
Combine a high-level electric Pal, a Work Speed passive, condensing stars and Pal Soul ranks and a single generator Pal will out-produce an entire row of un-upgraded ones — which is the real fix for a base that keeps running out of power. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best electric Pal in Palworld 1.0? Orserk, with Generating Electricity Lv.8 — the highest base level in the game. It's also the only Pal that reaches the Lv.10 cap for Generating Electricity through a 4-star Pal Condenser alone, so a single condensed Orserk is the most power you can put on one generator.
Do more electric Pals make more electricity? No — the Work Suitability level sets how much power is produced, not the number of Pals. One high-level, condensed electric Pal out-generates several low-level ones. Add more generators and Pals only when a single high-level Pal can't keep up; use batteries as a buffer.
What level do you unlock the Power Generator in Palworld? Technology Level 26, for 3 Technology Points. It costs 50 Ingot and 20 Electric Organ, and must be built inside a Palbox base radius.
Which electric Pal should I use early game? Sparkit or Jolthog (both Generating Electricity Lv.1) are enough to run your first Power Generator around Technology Lv.26. Upgrade to Univolt or Dazzi (Lv.3) as soon as you can, then to Grizzbolt (Lv.5) once you've cleared the first tower.
Why does my base keep running out of power? Usually one of two things: your electric Pal's suitability level is too low for the number of generators you're running, or you've over-built Crude Oil extractors that your power can't keep up with. Fix the electric Pal first (higher level + Work Speed), then right-size everything else. Building a couple of batteries gives you a buffer while the base balances out.
Does condensing increase a Pal's Generating Electricity level? Yes. A 4-star Pal Condenser raises a single-suitability Pal's best work level, which is how Orserk goes from Lv.8 to the Lv.10 cap. For Pals with multiple suitabilities, condensing raises them in order, so it's less efficient — single-suitability electric Pals benefit most.
