Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.1 went live on September 16, 2026 (build 4.10.1-LIVE.12650677), and its headline addition is the Orison Relief Support event — a time-limited set of contracts that rebuild the cloud city of Orison after the Nine Tails attack in Siege of Orison. This guide covers exactly how the event works, all six reward tiers in unlock order, the fastest contract loops, and the traps that waste your time.

Quick answer: what is Orison Relief Support?

Orison Relief Support is a limited-time event in Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.1 where you run contracts from four Crusader-backed providers to fill a personal progress track and unlock six "SecondWind" armor and weapon rewards — granted as finished items, not blueprints. The event is live now and, per the Star Citizen Wiki, runs "until Alpha 4.10.2 arrives," so there is no fixed calendar end date — it ends when the next patch ships (community-estimated for later in 2026, unconfirmed by CIG).

Three things matter before you start:

  • The rewards are the point, not the payout. Contracts feed your own progress bar; the SecondWind gear is what you're grinding for.
  • Progress is personal. You are not racing a shared server goal — you unlock at your own pace.
  • This is Alpha test content. aUEC and in-game items can be wiped at any patch with no reimbursement, so treat everything you earn as temporary. (More on that below.)

How does the Orison Relief Support event work?

Crusader Industries' relief initiative is live in and around Orison, the gas-giant cloud city at Crusader in the Stanton system. Contracts come from four providers, each covering a different slice of the rebuild — verified against the official Alpha 4.10.1 patch notes on the Star Citizen Wiki:

  • Cornerstone Developments — reconstruction. Resource-gathering runs into Orison and Seraphim Station, plus a crafted aid line built around the TH-01 Propulsor.
  • Covalex Shipping and Ling Family Hauling — medical response. Collect medical supplies and iodine from New Babbage, the New Babbage rooftops, and Port Tressler, then deliver to Orison, the Orison rooftops, and Seraphim.
  • Foxwell — security. Ship-ambush and wave-attack contracts in space, plus an "Eliminate All" contract clearing Nine Tails out of outposts on foot.

Every contract you complete adds points to your personal progress track. As the wiki puts it: "Progress is personal, so you are working toward your own rewards at your own pace, and each reward is granted straight to your account as you pass its threshold." Points earned on a contract you finish as a party are divided between the party members, so a full crew does not multiply your personal fill rate — plan around that if you're grinding efficiently.

Because the contracts span hauling, resource gathering, salvage-style delivery, FPS combat, and ship dogfighting, you can fill the track almost entirely with whatever loop you already like. One player running the event solo described using a light cargo ship for the delivery runs and only pulling out a larger hauler for the single big cargo contract — you do not need a dedicated fleet.

What are all six SecondWind rewards, in unlock order?

The event unlocks six rewards in a fixed order as you cross each threshold. All are the blue "SecondWind" scheme. Per the Alpha 4.10.1 patch notes, they unlock in this sequence:

#RewardType
1S-38 "SecondWind" PistolSidearm
2FBL-8a SecondWind Light ArmorLight armor set
3P4-AR "SecondWind" RifleAssault rifle
4ORC-mkX SecondWind Medium ArmorMedium armor set
5Lumin V "SecondWind" SMGSMG
6ADP-mk4 SecondWind Heavy ArmorHeavy armor set

Blue SecondWind heavy armor set, the top reward from the Orison Relief Support event in Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.1

The single most important detail: these are finished items granted straight to your account, not blueprints you have to craft. This was changed during testing — the reward track originally handed out blueprints, and CIG confirmed on the event thread that "Blueprints have been removed from the Orison Relief Support reward track and are now direct rewards granted to your account." That matters a lot, because Alpha crafting blueprints often require rare mined materials (like Stileron) that are painful to source solo. Getting a full heavy armor set and backpack handed to you — account-bound through the current wipe cycle — is a genuinely useful, no-crafting reward.

The crafted aid line (TH-01 Propulsor) — optional but worth knowing

Cornerstone's reconstruction chain includes a crafted aid line that needs an Item Fabricator. The TH-01 Propulsor blueprint is attached to the contract and appears on the fabricator's own terminal, which lists the materials it needs. If you don't already own a fabricator, you'll have to buy one from a shop, unload it at a freight elevator, and set it up in a hangar or a ship's cargo bay before you can run that line.

This is the one part of the event with real setup friction. If you just want the SecondWind gear fast, you can skip the crafted line entirely and fill your track with the medical hauling and Foxwell security contracts instead.

What is the fastest way to fill the reward track?

There's no reward for doing every contract type — only for filling the bar. The most efficient route the community has mapped is a single repeatable medical haul, detailed in an RSI Community Hub guide ("Alpha 4.10.1 Orison Relief: Fastest Complete Loop"):

  • Take the Medium Supply Haul contract. It pays a flat 6,000 points per run, has no cooldown, and no reputation requirement to accept.
  • Collect 96 SCU of Medical Supplies — currently 12 boxes locked to 8 SCU each.
  • Rent an ARGO RAFT at Teasa Spaceport in Lorville. It holds 192 SCU and takes the 8 SCU containers cleanly, so nothing is wasted.
  • Deliver to Orison, re-take the contract immediately, and repeat.

By that math the reward tiers land at roughly: Tier 1 (2 runs) pistol, Tier 2 (3 runs) light armor, Tier 3 (6 runs) rifle, Tier 4 (7 runs) medium armor, Tier 5 (10 runs) SMG, Tier 6 (12 runs) heavy set. Twelve back-to-back runs — roughly four hours — clears the entire track. Note the community-hub author mapped these routes during PTU testing and flags that CIG rebalanced the points-per-contract before launch, so treat the exact run counts as close estimates, not a locked CIG figure.

Two useful wrinkles from that guide: on the Supply Haul contract specifically, progress is not split in a group — every member with the contract earns the full 6,000 points, which is the opposite of the general party-split rule and makes it the best co-op loop. And if you'd rather fight or salvage, the Foxwell security contracts and the updated "Rubble" salvage loop remain viable alternatives. If freight elevators or contract markers glitch mid-session (a common 4.10.x complaint), don't fight the same loop — switch contract types and keep the points flowing.

What else changed in Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.1?

Orison Relief Support is the headline, but 4.10.1 shipped several quality-of-life changes that affect these loops directly. From the official patch notes:

  • Hauling and delivery cargo distribution reworked. Multi-pickup contracts now account for the SCU weight of each pickup when splitting a load, so cargo spreads across the markers the contract actually gives you instead of stacking into one inventory — and percentile-based cargo amounts now resolve correctly. This makes the medical delivery contracts noticeably less finicky.
  • Ground Vehicle Soft Death. Ground vehicles can now enter a soft-death (disabled/inert) state instead of going straight from working to destroyed, matching ship behavior.
  • Creature and plant loot quality. Harvested creature and plant materials — Kopion horns, Marok pearls, Valakkar fangs, spiral fruit, degnous root and more — now come in graded quality brackets, so it's worth checking what you bring back before you sell or craft with it.
  • Weapon attachment availability. Barrel compensators and stabilizers across all three sizes now drop from the general loot pool instead of a narrow set of sources, so they turn up far more reliably while looting.

Long Term Persistence was preserved in 4.10.1 — your earned aUEC, in-game-acquired ships and items carried over. Starting aUEC for the build is 20,000.

The wipe warning you actually need to read

Here's the honest part most event guides skip. Star Citizen is still in Alpha, and aUEC is wipeable test currency. CIG's own wiki documentation states that "aUEC, and anything purchased with it, can be wiped at any point so that a clean slate can be instituted," and that players cannot be reimbursed aUEC lost to a crash or bug. The last full wipe was Alpha 4.8 on May 14, 2026, which zeroed aUEC balances and in-game-acquired ships and items.

So while your SecondWind rewards are handed straight to your account and persist through the current cycle, a future full wipe can still take them — a Database Reset is community-expected around the next major patch. That's not a reason to skip the event; it's a reason to enjoy the gear now and not treat any Alpha loadout as permanent. Your pledged (real-money) ships are account-bound and are never wiped — only in-game-earned things are at risk.

A note on "getting ahead" the wrong way: Star Citizen's Terms of Service explicitly prohibit gathering in-game resources for sale outside the game, paid power-leveling, and selling or transferring RSI accounts — enforcement is at RSI's discretion and includes account termination. The safe way to earn aUEC and event rewards is the same as the fun way: play the loops. Don't buy your way in from a gray-market seller.

FAQ

What are the Orison Relief Support rewards in Star Citizen 4.10.1? Six items on a personal progress track, unlocked in order: the S-38 "SecondWind" Pistol, FBL-8a SecondWind Light Armor, P4-AR "SecondWind" Rifle, ORC-mkX SecondWind Medium Armor, Lumin V "SecondWind" SMG, and ADP-mk4 SecondWind Heavy Armor. They're all the blue SecondWind scheme.

Are the rewards blueprints or finished items? Finished items. CIG changed this during testing — the notes now confirm blueprints were removed from the reward track and the gear is granted directly to your account, so there's no crafting required.

When does Orison Relief Support end? There's no fixed calendar date. The Star Citizen Wiki says the event is available "until Alpha 4.10.2 arrives," so it ends when the next patch ships. CIG has not announced a 4.10.2 date, so run the event while it's live rather than waiting.

How long does it take to unlock everything? Roughly four hours of focused running. An RSI Community Hub guide maps the fastest route as about 12 back-to-back Medium Supply Haul runs (6,000 points each) to clear all six tiers. Treat the exact run counts as close estimates, not an official CIG figure — points were rebalanced before launch, and your time varies by ship, route, and server stability.

Can I do the event solo? Yes. Players are completing it solo using a single cargo ship for the medical delivery runs and only pulling out a larger hauler for the biggest cargo contract. Note that points on a party-completed contract are split between members, so grouping doesn't speed up your personal track.

Will I lose the SecondWind gear in a wipe? Possibly. The rewards persist through the current cycle, but Star Citizen is in Alpha and a full wipe (the last was Alpha 4.8 on May 14, 2026) can remove in-game-acquired items with no reimbursement. Pledged real-money ships are never wiped; earned items are.
