Quick answer: The Spirit World Guardian is the current #1 income pet in Steal An Egg at ~$26 billion/second (Divine). You make it at the Secret Fusing Machine hidden in the Enchanted Forest's Enchanted Tree. It is a two-player fusion: each player brings 1 Celestial Sunlion (Eternal) + 1 Royal Skywhale (Divine) — four pets total — and both walk away with a Spirit World Guardian egg. The gate before you even start: unlock the Enchanted Forest biome (50 billion Speed), solve the 5-mushroom "Simon Says" puzzle to earn Cricket's Banjo, then play the Banjo at the top of the tree to grow the bridge to the machine.
Steal An Egg is still the single biggest game on Roblox — our live Games API pull on 2026-10-13 put it at 1,094,533 concurrent players, 7.92 billion visits and 7.64 million favourites, with the experience last updated the day before. Every new biome resets the "best pet" race, and the Enchanted Forest (Update #7, live 2026-10-04) ended it with a pet you can't just hatch — you have to build it. This guide walks the exact path from a fresh Enchanted Forest unlock to a finished Spirit World Guardian, with the real requirements, the two-player steps, and the mistakes that cost players their best pets.
All income figures here are community pet-index estimates (Eldorado, stealegg.com) — the developer does not publish $/s. They are accurate enough to rank pets against each other, but never treat them as official.

What is the Spirit World Guardian?
The Spirit World Guardian is a Divine-tier pet and, as of the October 2026 index, the highest-earning pet in the game. Eldorado's live pet index lists it at $26B/s, ahead of every other Divine. One caveat up front: that $26B/s is an estimate — the game's developer (stealegg.com) still labels the Spirit World Guardian's income an owner prediction, while the Skeletal Sabertooth ($9B/s) is the top confirmed-indexed pet. The ranking below reflects the community index:
| Rank | Pet | Rarity | Base income |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Spirit World Guardian | Divine | $26B/s |
| 2 | Skeletal Sabertooth | Divine | $9B/s |
| 3 | Royal Skywhale | Divine | $8B/s |
| 4 | Mecha Scrambler | Divine | $7.5B/s |
| 5 | Aetheron | Divine | $6.9B/s |
| 6 | Luminous Cthulhu | Divine | $6.5B/s |
Source: eldorado.gg Steal an Egg pet index (updated October 2026). You will see some trackers quote wildly higher numbers (one community site lists $2.2T/s) — those are unverified. The index-consistent figure, and the one our own October value list uses, is $26B/s. Either way, it is nearly 3× the next-best pet, which is why it is worth the effort.
Unlike the Skeletal Sabertooth (boss loot) or Aetheron (the Angels & Demons fusion), the Spirit World Guardian is tied entirely to the Enchanted Forest — its inputs come from that biome and nowhere else. If you want to see where it sits against every other pet, our October 2026 value list ranks the full index.
What do you need before you can fuse it?
You cannot shortcut your way to this pet. There are three hard gates, in order:
1. Unlock the Enchanted Forest biome — 50 billion Speed
The Enchanted Forest is the hardest-gated biome in Steal An Egg so far. The speed ladder leading up to it runs roughly Cherry Blossom ~2.5B → Titan ~7B → Angels & Demons ~20B → Enchanted Forest 50B. You need 50 billion Speed both to enter and to outrun the biome's Guardian, an enchanted Lion that patrols the eggs. If you cannot outrun it, you cannot farm the pets you need. Grind Speed on the treadmill and rebirth before you attempt this biome.
2. Earn the Enchanted Forest pets you'll fuse
The fusion inputs are two specific Enchanted Forest pets:
- Celestial Sunlion — Eternal tier
- Royal Skywhale — Divine tier
Both are among the eight new Enchanted Forest biome pets and only drop from Enchanted Forest eggs. You need one of each per player, so a full fusion consumes two Celestial Sunlions and two Royal Skywhales across the two participants. These are the top two pets of the biome, so expect to farm — see our full Enchanted Forest pets list for where each one drops.
3. Get Cricket's Banjo from the mushroom puzzle
The Secret Fusing Machine isn't on the map by default — the bridge to it only appears after you play an instrument you have to earn first.
Inside the Enchanted Tree there is a hidden band room with five coloured mushrooms (red, blue, green, yellow, purple). They light up in a sequence and you repeat it back — a "Simon Says" memory puzzle. The sequence is randomised, so there is no fixed solution to memorise; watch the order, then step on the mushrooms in that order. Clearing it rewards an equippable Cricket's Banjo (and a Secret Egg that can hatch the puzzle-only pet, Jitterbug).
The full Wisp prerequisite chain
The mushroom puzzle only opens after you've already finished Wisp's three quests to access the Enchanted Tree in the first place. Per stealegg.com's Update 7 guide, that chain is: steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs, fuse one Enchanted Forest pet at your base Fuse Machine, and steal any Eternal egg (from any biome). Claim each stage, then "return the Wisp" to open the tree. Only then can you reach the mushroom room — so the Spirit World Guardian sits at the very end of the biome's progression.
How do you get to the Secret Fusing Machine?
Once you have Cricket's Banjo equipped:
- Head to the top of the Enchanted Tree, to the walkway that ends at a gap with no bridge.
- Stand at the edge of the gap and play the Banjo. A bridge grows across to the ritual platform — the Secret Fusing Machine.
- Cross to the machine. You'll see two sets of pedestals, one for each player, each labelled for a Sunlion and a Skywhale.
The bridge is tied to the Banjo, so the player who solved the puzzle has to be the one who opens the crossing.
The two-player fusion — step by step
The Spirit World Guardian fusion needs two players. This is not optional; a single player cannot complete it. Here is the exact flow:
- Both players cross to the machine (one plays the Banjo to open the bridge).
- Player 1 places their Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale on their pedestals.
- Player 2 places their Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale on their pedestals.
- Confirm both "ready" indicators are green and hold your pets through the fusion cutscene — do not leave or unequip early.
- The machine plays the fusion animation and gives each player a Spirit World Guardian egg. Both participants are rewarded.
One player on r/StealAnEggRoblox summed up the payoff after a successful run: "It takes both royal skywhale and sunlion of both pair to make a sick animation and the egg will be given to the fusers."
The size and mutation trap — read this before you fuse
The single most common mistake, straight from the community, is not understanding whose pet decides the result. Players report putting in a huge Skywhale and a smaller Sunlion and ending up disappointed — one wrote: "I had 140b whale and 70b lion and ended up with 75b lol."
The rule the Steal An Egg community has settled on: the fused egg inherits the size and mutation of the pet you personally sacrificed — not your partner's. So if you want the strongest possible Guardian, put in your biggest, best-mutated Sunlion and Skywhale, and pick the Divine fusion option when offered (an Eternal-only fusion yields a weaker result). Because pets are consumed in the fusion, going in with your smallest copies "to save the big ones" backfires — you get a small Guardian.

Will the Spirit World Guardian stay the best pet?
Probably not forever — and that's worth understanding before you sink a weekend into it. Steal An Egg ships content almost every Saturday, and the "best pet" crown has changed hands three times in a month: Aetheron ($6.9B/s) was dethroned by the Skeletal Sabertooth ($9B/s) from Update 6's boss, which was in turn passed by the Spirit World Guardian ($26B/s) from the Enchanted Forest. The next biome or boss will very likely add a new #1.
What doesn't decay is the Speed and progression you build getting there. Clearing the 50B Speed wall and completing the Wisp chain unlocks you for every future top pet too, so the grind compounds even after this specific pet is overtaken. Build the Guardian for the income now; keep the Speed for whatever comes next.
Is the Spirit World Guardian worth it?
Yes, if you've already cleared the 50B Speed wall. At ~$26B/s it roughly triples your income over the next-best Divine, which snowballs every upgrade and rebirth after it. The grind is real — two top-tier biome pets per player, a puzzle, and a coordinated partner — but no other pet in the current index comes close.
If you don't have the Speed or a fusion partner yet, the practical move is to lock in the best pet you can reach now and keep grinding Speed. Trading for a ready-made top pet, or buying a Speed/pet carry so you clear the 50B gate faster, is the shortcut most players actually take.

FAQ
What is the best pet in Steal An Egg right now? As of October 2026, the Spirit World Guardian is the #1 income pet at roughly $26B/s (Divine), per the Eldorado community pet index — about 3× the next-best pet, the Skeletal Sabertooth ($9B/s). Income figures are community estimates, not developer-published.
How do you make the Spirit World Guardian? You fuse it at the Secret Fusing Machine in the Enchanted Forest's Enchanted Tree. It is a two-player fusion needing 1 Celestial Sunlion + 1 Royal Skywhale from each player (four pets total). Both players receive a Guardian egg.
Can you get the Spirit World Guardian solo? No. The fusion requires two players, each contributing a Sunlion and a Skywhale on their own pedestals. You need a partner to complete it.
Which pet's size and mutation does the fusion keep? The result inherits the size and mutation of the pet you personally put in, not your partner's. Use your biggest, best-mutated Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale, and choose the Divine fusion for the strongest Guardian — fusing small copies gives a small, lower-income pet.
How do I unlock the Secret Fusing Machine? Solve the 5-mushroom "Simon Says" puzzle in the Enchanted Tree to earn Cricket's Banjo, then play the Banjo at the gap near the top of the tree to grow a bridge to the machine.
How much Speed do I need for the Enchanted Forest? 50 billion Speed — the highest gate in the game so far — both to enter the biome and to outrun its enchanted Lion Guardian so you can steal its eggs.
Does Steal An Egg have codes for free pets? No. Steal An Egg has never had a code system — any site promising free codes for pets is lying. Pets come only from stealing/hatching eggs, boss loot, and fusions.
