Driver got the biggest vehicle drop of any track in WARDOGS Season 2. Update 0.2.0, live since 15 October 2026, added four vehicles to the Driver track (the Wolf-110, the Wolf-110 with an M2 Browning, the T-72B3 main battle tank and the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air vehicle) and moved the SPH-2 artillery off the WARDOG track at level 90 down to Driver level 31. Artillery now pays Driver XP instead of Support XP.

Players have noticed. One r/WarDogs thread on 26 October asked what you even do with a Gepard once the enemy pilot stops flying at you. This guide lists every Driver unlock BULKHEAD added or moved for Season 2, what each vehicle costs to unlock and to deploy, what it pays out when someone destroys it, and the order we'd unlock them in.

Quick answer: In WARDOGS Season 2 the Wolf-110 unlocks at Driver level 8 for $50,000, the Wolf-110 [M2 Browning] at level 16 for $125,000, the T-72B3 tank at level 20 for $250,000 and the Flakpanzer Gepard at level 25 for $300,000. The SPH-2 artillery moved from WARDOG level 90 to Driver level 31, and its unlock fee fell from $500,000 to $350,000. Deploying a T-72B3 costs $16,000, a Gepard $14,000 and an L2A6 $22,000 (up from $14,000). Driver levels reset when Season 3 starts on 12 November 2026.

Updated 26 October 2026. Applies to WARDOGS Season 2, Update 0.2.0 (patch notes posted on Steam 14 October 2026, season live 15 October 2026). WARDOGS is BULKHEAD's 100-player, three-team Control Zone shooter on PC. It is not a battle royale or an extraction shooter. Every level, price and reward below comes from the official Season 02 Patch Notes unless it's marked as a player report.

What changed on the Driver track in WARDOGS Season 2?

BULKHEAD's own summary of the Driver section, verbatim from the Season 02 Patch Notes: "Drivers who prefer armed vehicles now have more ways to get kills before reaching the L2A6. The new Wolf-110 [M2 Browning] unlocks at level 16, followed by two new tanks: the T-72B3 at level 20 and the Flakpanzer Gepard at level 25. The SPH-2 also moves into the Driver track at level 31, down from WARDOG level 90."

In Season 1 the Driver track was mostly transport, and the big armour sat behind long gates. Season 2 filled the middle of the track with armed vehicles and moved XP onto it. From the Altered Action Role Rewards section of the same notes:

  • "Artillery now gives driver XP instead of support."
  • "Repair XP now goes into the driver or pilot tracks depending on the vehicle being repaired, instead of a flat support amount."

So repairing ground vehicles and firing artillery now level Driver. The notes give Cash and XP values for logistics runs and vehicle kills but don't say which track that XP goes to, so we won't claim that supply runs level Driver.

One more change landed after launch. On 15 October BULKHEAD posted a backend update on its official X account that included Driver progression fixes and a Driver exploit fix "preventing lots of players from accessing tanks too early". PCGamesN reported that the exploit was FOB back-and-forth runs and that fewer than a thousand abusers got 24-hour bans.

What are the Driver unlock levels and fees in Season 2?

Most progression unlocks in WARDOGS have two gates. A level on its progression track makes it available, usually with a one-time unlock fee in Cash. After that you pay a per-deployment vendor price every time you spawn it. This table lists every Driver unlock the Season 02 Patch Notes added or moved, sorted by Season 2 level. Where a fee isn't shown, the notes didn't list one. Driver items the notes didn't touch aren't listed.

SPH-2WARDOG 9031$350,000 (was $500,000)
Music Tape "Dyshat' - Baryber"new33$25,000

The notes also say music tapes were "reshuffled between the Driver and Pilot tracks" without listing which ones.

Where is the L2A6? The Season 02 Patch Notes don't re-list its level or unlock fee. The Driver summary says the new tanks come "before reaching the L2A6", and in Season 1 the Heavy Tank sat at Driver level 35. We'd treat the L2A6 as the top of the Driver track until BULKHEAD publishes a new number, and we won't print one.

How much does each Driver vehicle cost to deploy in Season 2?

Unlock fees are one-off. Deploy prices are what you pay every time you spawn the vehicle, and they decide whether driving makes or loses Cash. From the Season 02 Patch Notes vendor tables:

VehicleDriver level (S2)Unlock fee (S2)Deploy price (S2)
Wolf-1108$50,000$2,200 (new)
Kodiak [M249]not listednot listed$6,750 (was $3,750)
Ural Defender15not listed$7,200 (was $6,000)
Wolf-110 [M2 Browning]16$125,000$7,800 (new)
Humvee [M249]24not listed$8,500 (was $3,750)
Ural Defender [M249]22$100,000$9,500 (was $6,750)
Humvee [Minigun]not listednot listed$10,000 (was $4,500)
Flakpanzer Gepard25$300,000$14,000 (new)
T-72B320$250,000$16,000 (new)
L2A6not listednot listed$22,000 (was $14,000)

The SPH-2's deploy price isn't in the notes.

The pattern is clear: every armed ground vehicle with a Season 1 price got more expensive to deploy. The Humvee [M249] more than doubled, from $3,750 to $8,500, and the L2A6 went up 57%, from $14,000 to $22,000. The new T-72B3 is BULKHEAD's answer for anyone who wants a tank without paying that: the notes describe it as "Slower than the L2A6, but cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient," and it deploys for $6,000 less.

What does each vehicle pay when it's destroyed?

Season 2 gave every vehicle variant its own bounty. BULKHEAD, verbatim: "Every vehicle variant now has its own reward, so armed variants are worth far more than unarmed ones. Armed variants give 1.5x the XP of the default variant. Attack Vehicle rewards also increase the more kills they get, so hunting down an artillery dominating your team will still feel rewarding."

This matters to drivers in two ways. It's what the enemy earns for killing you, and it's what you earn for killing their armour. From the Vehicle Destroyed table:

VehicleDestroy reward (S2)
Bobcat$100 (was $250)
Dune Buggy$300 (was $750)
Wolf-110$450
Kodiak (default / Pickup / M249)$500 / $600 / $3,400 (was $1,250)
Humvee (default / M249 / Minigun)$600 / $4,250 / $5,000 (was $1,500)
Ural (default / Defender / Defender M249)$1,000 / $3,600 / $4,750 (was $2,500)
Wolf-110 [M2 Browning]$3,900
Flakpanzer Gepard$7,000
T-72B3$8,000
SPH-2$8,000 (was $14,000)
L2A6$11,000 (was $14,000)

Don't read this as "armed vehicles pay more than before". The notes made armed variants worth more than unarmed ones, but the biggest bounties all dropped: the L2A6 from $14,000 to $11,000, the SPH-2 from $14,000 to $8,000 and the Havoc helicopter from $18,000 to $14,000.

Here's what that means for a tank driver (our maths, using the prices above). A T-72B3 costs $16,000 to deploy. Killing one enemy L2A6 ($11,000) and one T-72B3 ($8,000) pays $19,000 before any infantry kills, so two tank kills cover the spawn. Losing the tank early is the expensive part: bringing out another one costs the full $16,000 again. These are base rewards; attack-vehicle bounties rise with the kills they get.

Is the Gepard worth it in WARDOGS Season 2?

The Gepard is the Driver track's anti-air vehicle. BULKHEAD's notes describe it in a single line, "Anti Air Vehicle," and price it at $300,000 to unlock at Driver 25 and $14,000 a deployment, with a $7,000 bounty if it's destroyed.

The value depends on what the enemy flies. Season 2 made helicopters more expensive to bring out. The Little Bird AH-6M [Miniguns] now deploys for $12,000 (was $7,000), the AH-6R [Rockets] for $18,800 (was $12,500) and the Havoc for $28,000 (was $18,000). Their destroy rewards are $6,000, $9,400 and $14,000.

That's exactly the problem in the 26 October thread: a pilot who doesn't want to throw more money at your Gepard can just stay away, and then you're sitting on a $14,000 spawn that has nothing to shoot at. The notes don't describe the Gepard's ground role, so we won't claim it's good against infantry or armour. Our read:

  • Bring it when the enemy team has armed helicopters up. One Havoc kill ($14,000) pays the whole deployment.
  • Don't bring it to a match with nothing in the air. At $14,000 a spawn, that's only $2,000 less than a T-72B3.
  • Stay near your base defences. Buildable defences like the Talon 9K-SAM and Vanguard CIWS are now cheaper to build in Season 2 (650 and 1,200 supplies), so your team may already have the sky covered.

For the pilot's side of the same fight, our anti-air guide and Pilot guide cover what helicopters fear.

Is the SPH-2 artillery worth unlocking at Driver 31?

In Season 1 the artillery was a WARDOG level 90 unlock for $500,000, which put it out of reach for almost everyone. Season 2 moved the SPH-2 to Driver level 31 for $350,000. BULKHEAD also changed how artillery pays: "Artillery now gives driver XP instead of support," and attack vehicle rewards "increase the more kills they get".

Two things to weigh. The SPH-2's destroy reward fell from $14,000 to $8,000, so the enemy earns less for killing it, but it's no longer a rare endgame vehicle. And the notes cut the damage of the Heavy and Artillery top machine turrets against infantry: they "now use the same hit-location values as assault rifles and LMGs".

Level 31 needs more than 318,200 XP, the total for level 30 in Season 2 (the notes don't publish level 31's own total). The $350,000 fee is the biggest single Driver unlock in the notes, and it only lasts until the next wipe (see below). Our read: if your team already has an artillery player, a T-72B3 at level 20 is the better use of the Cash than a second SPH-2.

What's the best Driver unlock order in Season 2?

You can't skip levels, but you choose which unlock fees to pay and when. Here's the route we'd take, with every fee from the Season 02 Patch Notes:

  • Level 8: Wolf-110, $50,000. A fast, light transport that costs only $2,200 to deploy. It's a cheap way to run players and supplies.
  • Level 16: Wolf-110 [M2 Browning], $125,000. The first new armed vehicle, at $7,800 a deployment. It's cheaper to deploy than the Humvee [M249] ($8,500) or Ural Defender [M249] ($9,500).
  • Level 20: T-72B3, $250,000. The headline unlock. A main battle tank at $16,000 a deployment, $6,000 less than the L2A6.
  • Level 25: Flakpanzer Gepard, $300,000. Only if your servers have a lot of armed helicopters. Otherwise save the Cash.
  • Level 31: SPH-2, $350,000. Last, and only if your team needs artillery.

Skip the Humvee at 14 unless you need it. Its unlock fee tripled from $25,000 to $75,000, and the Wolf-110 unlocks for $50,000 and deploys for $2,200.

The core route (Wolf-110, Wolf-110 [M2 Browning], T-72B3) costs $425,000 in unlock fees by level 20. Adding the Gepard and the SPH-2 takes the total to $1,075,000. That's a lot of Cash for one track in a season BULKHEAD has already said will be short. If you need more, our WARDOGS money guide covers the Season 2 earning methods that still pay.

How fast does Driver level in Season 2?

The Season 02 Patch Notes publish one role-track XP table, and Season 2 made it much faster. BULKHEAD, verbatim: "Reaching level 20 now takes less than half the playtime it did in Season 1." Total XP required, from the Season 02 Patch Notes:

Track levelSeason 1 XPSeason 2 XPChange
1035,00025,00029% quicker
15110,00054,75050% quicker
20250,000111,50055% quicker
25365,000206,60043% quicker
30500,000318,20036% quicker
35750,000525,00030% quicker

So the T-72B3 at 20 needs 111,500 XP, the Gepard at 25 needs 206,600 XP, and the SPH-2 at 31 needs more than the 318,200 XP for level 30 (level 31's own total isn't published).

The only actions BULKHEAD routes to Driver by name are artillery and repairing ground vehicles. Logistics pays well when you chain runs: the notes add delivery streaks of +$250 / +100 XP per pallet in a row (up to 10) and +$50 / +25 XP per return trip in a row (up to 10), and a ground-vehicle player delivery pays $350. But the notes don't say which track that XP goes to.

What about spawn APC rewards? A post on r/WarDogs on 26 October says the driver of the team's spawn vehicle earns rewards for about 10 minutes after reaching the Control Zone, rather than per passenger. That's a player report, not a BULKHEAD rule, and another player in the thread said they kept earning for a whole match. The notes only say that, once a team is more than 10 points ahead, players who switch teams or join late "cannot use the spawn vehicle until you reach the control zone for the first time," and that the Vanguard CIWS now takes "2.25x longer to kill the SV."

Will Driver levels reset in Season 3?

Yes, and it's now dated. Season 3 starts on 12 November 2026. BULKHEAD's seasonal model resets Cash and track XP at each wipe, while Gold Bars and cosmetics stay on your account. On 17 October 2026 the official @WARDOGS account said Season 3 could be brought forward "significantly", after players reached "end game gear like Tier 4 armour and MBTs within days". On BULKHEAD's official podcast THE HOTZONE, Episode 1 (24 October 2026), the team said Season 2 will be "four, five" weeks instead of "six, seven, eight". Then, in a developer response on Steam posted 23 October, BULKHEAD's brammflakes confirmed the date: "Season 3 has been brought forward to November 12th to give everyone a proper fresh start. It also brings Limited Mode servers, with no power weapons and no vehicles." No start time has been published yet.

That makes every Driver unlock fee in this guide a season-scoped spend. A $250,000 T-72B3 unlocked on 26 October lasts about two and a half weeks. If you only drive on Limited Mode servers in Season 3, you won't be driving at all, since BULKHEAD says they have no vehicles. Our Season 3 release date tracker has the latest, and our T-72 guide covers the tank in more depth.

FAQ

What level is the T-72 in WARDOGS? The T-72B3 is new in WARDOGS Season 2. It unlocks at Driver level 20 for $250,000 and costs $16,000 to deploy (Season 02 Patch Notes, 14 October 2026). BULKHEAD describes it as slower than the L2A6, but cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient.

What level is the Gepard in WARDOGS? The Flakpanzer Gepard unlocks at Driver level 25 for $300,000 and costs $14,000 to deploy. It pays the enemy $7,000 when it's destroyed.

What level is artillery in WARDOGS Season 2? The SPH-2 artillery moved from WARDOG level 90 to Driver level 31 in Season 2, and its unlock fee fell from $500,000 to $350,000. Artillery now gives Driver XP instead of Support XP.

What level is the L2A6 in WARDOGS Season 2? The Season 02 Patch Notes don't restate it. The Season 02 Patch Notes raise the L2A6's deploy price to $22,000 and cut its destroy reward to $11,000, but don't list its level. In Season 1 the Heavy Tank sat at Driver level 35.

How do you level Driver fast in WARDOGS? The two actions BULKHEAD routes to Driver by name are artillery and repairing ground vehicles. The Season 2 XP curve also needs only 111,500 XP for level 20, less than half of Season 1's 250,000.

Do vehicles reset in WARDOGS Season 3? Yes, if Season 3 follows BULKHEAD's seasonal rules. Cash and track XP reset at each season wipe, so Driver unlocks have to be earned again. Gold Bars and cosmetics carry over. Season 3 starts on 12 November 2026, per a BULKHEAD developer response on Steam.
