WARDOGS Season 2 New Content: Every New Weapon, Vehicle and the Wager Vendor

Quick answer: WARDOGS Season 2 goes live on October 15, 2026, and BULKHEAD's first-party "Season 02 Preview" (posted to Steam on October 9, 2026) confirms the headline new content: four new weapons (TCX Spear AR, M14 DMR, PP-19 Bizon SMG, Evo-3 Ultra LMG), four new vehicles (Wolf-110, Wolf-110 Assault, T-72 main battle tank, Flakpanzer Gepard AA), three new buildables, a Molotov throwable, a new rain weather preset, and an experimental Wager Vendor that lets you bet your own Cash on your performance. Full patch notes with the balance numbers land early the following week. Everything here is sourced from BULKHEAD's preview — numbers that aren't in it yet are flagged as unconfirmed.

WARDOGS Season 1 is ending, and for the first time since launch BULKHEAD has put a real content list in front of players before the wipe. The "Season 02 Preview" devlog (Steam Community Announcement, October 9, 2026) is the source of truth for what's actually coming — and it is a much bigger drop than the pre-wipe "everything we know" picture suggested. New guns, a proper main battle tank, a dedicated anti-air vehicle, weather that changes how fights sound, and a genuinely weird new economy feature where you gamble your own banked Cash.

This guide walks the full confirmed list, flags what BULKHEAD explicitly held back for the full patch notes, and tells you what it means for your account five days before the reset. If you're still deciding how to spend before October 15, read our companion pre-wipe spending checklist and the full Season 2 start-date and wipe breakdown alongside this.

When does WARDOGS Season 2 start?

October 15, 2026. BULKHEAD closed the Season 02 Preview with a flat line: "WARDOGS Season 2 releases October 15, 2026." That date has been fixed since the September 22 teaser and has not moved.

Two things land before the season itself:

  • The full patch notes, "including all balance changes," drop early the following week (BULKHEAD's wording: "Full patch notes and maintenance window, early next week"). So the weapon-damage, recoil and unlock-level numbers you'll want are not public yet as of October 10 — only the content list is.
  • The Season 02 trailer and the $100,000 clip-contest "Top 100K" reveal premiere on BULKHEAD's official YouTube channel the same week.

BULKHEAD also added an unusually blunt caveat: "Please remember this is the surface of what's coming in Season 2. The update is actively being worked on before we lock in the final details." Treat the list below as confirmed in principle, with the exact stats still subject to change.

WARDOGS Season 2 new weapons

WARDOGS infantry squad advancing through smoke and fire in the Control Zone

Four new weapons are confirmed, one per class role, each "supported by a range of new attachments":

  • TCX Spear — Assault Rifle
  • M14 — DMR (designated marksman rifle)
  • PP-19 Bizon — SMG
  • Evo-3 Ultra — LMG

This is the first time the WARDOGS arsenal has grown since the 37-weapon launch set, and the spread is deliberate: one AR, one marksman gun, one SMG, one light machine gun covers the four most common engagement ranges. Where these sit on the progression tracks — and how much Cash each costs at the vendor — is not in the preview; it's coming with the full notes. Expect them to slot onto the same unlock gates the existing guns use (XP unlocks the right to buy, Cash pays per life — the two-gate rule that governs every item in this game).

There's also a new throwable:

Molotov — "A thrown incendiary that splashes fire on impact and damages anyone caught in its radius. Throw overarm or underarm — this item is intended damage and area denial."

Area-denial grenades matter a lot in a mode built around holding one shifting Control Zone, so the Molotov is likely to show up fast in zone fights.

WARDOGS Season 2 new vehicles

WARDOGS main battle tank and anti-air vehicle advancing across the Kolchia battlefield in the rain

Four new vehicles are confirmed, and this is where the preview gets interesting for the armour meta:

  • Wolf-110 — "A fast, light wheeled transport."
  • Wolf-110 (Assault) — the Wolf-110 "with a ring-mounted M2 Browning." A gun truck.
  • T-72 — "A main battle tank. Slower than the Leopard, but cheaper and far more fuel-efficient."
  • Flakpanzer Gepard — "Anti Air Vehicle."

Two things worth flagging. First, the T-72 is described relative to "the Leopard" — which tells us the existing main battle tank (what players and our own guides have called the Heavy Tank) is a Leopard. The T-72 is positioned as the cheaper, more economical alternative: slower, but it costs less Cash and burns less fuel. For a game where you re-buy your loadout every life, a cheaper tank that still does tank things is a meaningful economy choice, not just a reskin.

Second, the Flakpanzer Gepard is a dedicated anti-air platform. WARDOGS has had a serious helicopter problem all season — if you've been on the receiving end of a rocket bird you'll know — and a ground AA vehicle changes the counter-play. (We covered the current, Season 1 options for dealing with air in our anti-air guide; the Gepard is a new tool on top of those.)

One accuracy note: a few of these names — Flakpanzer Gepard in particular — circulated on competitor and content-farm pages for weeks as "leaked" WARDOGS vehicles. Until this preview, BULKHEAD had never used them in first-party text, so we never printed them as real. This October 9 devlog is the first first-party confirmation, and that's why we're citing them now.

WARDOGS Season 2 new buildables

Three new buildables join the FOB and fortification toolkit:

  • MG Nest — "A manned M2 Browning emplacement."
  • Large Shelter — "A large metal shelter for covering key assets or keeping the rain off."
  • Wooden Step — "A step. Made of wood." (BULKHEAD's own deadpan, verbatim.)

The MG Nest is the one that matters tactically — a static heavy machine gun emplacement gives defensive squads a hard point to anchor a FOB. If you earn a lot of your Cash and XP building bases, these are new tools for the exact loop we broke down in the FOB money and XP guide. The Large Shelter also hints at how seriously the new weather system is being taken — it exists partly to keep the rain off.

The new rain weather preset

WARDOGS Season 2 adds a rain weather preset, and BULKHEAD is explicit that it's a mechanical change, not just a visual one:

"A new weather preset that changes visibility, engagement ranges and sound. Rain interacts with the environment, including damaged and destroyed structures. Thunder is synchronised across the server and can temporarily mask footsteps, opening up new tactical opportunities mid fight."

The thunder detail is the clever bit: it's server-synchronised, so every player hears it at the same moment, and it briefly masks footstep audio. In a game with proximity VOIP audible to all three teams and a heavy reliance on sound, a shared "cover noise" window is a real tactical lever — push during the thunder, reposition when the map can't hear you. Reduced visibility also shortens effective engagement ranges, which should quietly nerf long-range marksman play and favour the SMGs and the new Bizon.

The WARDOGS Wager Vendor explained

The most experimental addition is the Wager Vendor — and BULKHEAD is upfront that it's a gamble, for them as much as for you:

"This is a first pass at a genuinely experimental Early Access feature. We intend to expand it over time, and we may well pull it from the game during the season if it turns out to be too exploitable."

Here's how it works, per the preview. You bet on yourself: you choose a set of objectives (examples given: getting a number of kills in the Hot Zone, delivering a number of players to the zone, "and more besides"), set how many deaths you're willing to spend completing them, then set your stake in Cash. The more objectives you stack onto a single wager, the longer the odds — and the bigger the payout. A live wager tracker sits above the minimap showing your stake and your progress toward winning or losing it.

In plain terms: it takes the Cash-reward loop WARDOGS is already built on and lets you lever it up. Complete your stacked objectives inside your death budget and you profit against the odds; fail and you lose the stake. BULKHEAD's framing: "Back yourself and get paid. Or don't, and watch it burn."

It's entirely optional. You never have to touch it, and nothing gates behind it. But for players chasing big-ticket items, it's a new (volatile) way to turn a good session into a lot of Cash — or to torch a bankroll right before the wipe. A word of caution on timing: since Cash resets at the end of the season anyway, wagering down your Season 1 balance in the final days costs you less than it would mid-season — but anything you win also evaporates at the reset unless you convert it to Gold Bars first (see below).

The Lonestar faction experiment

If you've spent any time in WARDOGS this season, you know the blue team — Lonestar — has a reputation problem. BULKHEAD confirmed the data behind it:

"One team has had a notoriously lower win rate than the other two… sentiment around the blue team is the largest driving factor behind players not wanting to play on it."

So Season 2 runs a "social experiment" to fix Lonestar's win rate and its image. The confirmed Season 2-only changes:

  • All faction spawns have moved on Bakurani (notable aside: this is the first time BULKHEAD has named a map — "Bakurani" — in first-party text; content farms had been printing it as a "leak" for weeks).
  • Lonestar uniforms are more desaturated so the team stands out less against the other two factions (a long-standing visibility complaint).
  • Lonestar gets a Season 2-only Cash and XP win bonus, plus Cash and XP multipliers.
  • A new losing-team vendor discount: 20% off for any team at least 40 points behind second place (this applies to all three teams, not just Lonestar).

The Cash and XP win bonus is the detail to watch if you're grinding before the next wipe: if you're happy to play blue, Season 2 is explicitly paying you more Cash and XP to do it. BULKHEAD also warned that community-server hosts caught exploiting the faction bonus will be punished — consistent with the zero-tolerance economy-abuse stance the studio has hardened all season.

Key balance changes confirmed so far

The full numbers come with the patch notes, but the preview named a few concrete balance moves:

  • Infrared Rangefinder now runs on batteries — confirming the consumable-cost model BULKHEAD trailed when it disabled the IR Rangefinder in the October 2 hotfix. It returns in Season 2, but you'll pay to run it.
  • Super Heavy Helmet now comes with muffled audio, a restricted field of view, and fogs over when you sprint — a real trade-off for its protection, not a straight upgrade. Heavy and Super Heavy helmets also get increased suppression resistance under the new suppression system.
  • Combat balancing: adjustments to weapon damage, recoil and suppression "with the aim of establishing clearer roles across weapon classes."
  • Broad improvements to squad coordination, vehicle handling, controller responsiveness and progression, plus additional rewards for teamplay and logistics, performance work and server-stability fixes.

That last line matters for anyone who grinds Cash the efficient way: "additional rewards for teamplay and logistics" points at the same revive / transport / build loop that already out-earns pure kills in WARDOGS.

What it means for your account before the wipe

Season 2 is a full reset. Here's the five-day reality check:

  • Cash and XP reset on October 15. Your banked Cash auto-converts to Gold Bars at the reset; your levels go back to the Season 2 XP curve. Gold Bars and cosmetics are the only things that survive. If you're sitting on a pile of Cash, decide now whether to spend it or let it convert — our cash-to-Gold-Bars guide and the reset explainer cover the mechanics.
  • A new XP curve means a fresh grind. BULKHEAD's standing line is "each season we will have a different XP curve with different item orders." The Season 1 curve already doubled the XP needed around levels 15–20; whether Season 2 is harsher or kinder is in the patch notes we don't have yet. Either way, everyone starts from zero on the 15th, and the new guns and vehicles will sit behind new gates.
  • The new content is gated too. Those four weapons, four vehicles and three buildables won't be handed to you — they'll have unlock levels and Cash prices like everything else. If your goal is to be running the T-72 or the new LMG early in the season rather than weeks in, the grind curve is the thing standing in your way.

Save the grind: WARDOGS leveling and Cash

A season reset is the clean moment to decide how much of the grind you actually want to do yourself. Everyone's levels go to zero on October 15, the XP curve changes, and the big-ticket items — new and old — sit behind the same two gates: a level on the right track to unlock the buy, and enough Cash to pay for it every life. If you'd rather spend Season 2 actually playing the new content than re-climbing to it, we handle the climb for you:

Want the new Season 2 content without re-grinding from zero? We level your WARDOG career and your class tracks by hand — real players, no bots — so the new gates open faster, and top up the Cash you re-spend every deployment.

One straight note, because WARDOGS is strict about it: the game runs a kernel-level anti-cheat and BULKHEAD has a published, hardened stance against economy abuse and real-money trading on your Steam account. We describe only our own service, our own guarantee and our own handling — nothing here is a claim about what BULKHEAD permits. Rent a Pro is the self-play option if you want to keep control of your own account end to end.

FAQ

When does WARDOGS Season 2 start? October 15, 2026. BULKHEAD confirmed the date in its Season 02 Preview (October 9, 2026) and it has not changed since the September 22 teaser. The full patch notes and the Season 2 trailer arrive early the week before.

What new weapons are in WARDOGS Season 2? Four: the TCX Spear (assault rifle), M14 (DMR), PP-19 Bizon (SMG) and Evo-3 Ultra (LMG), plus a new Molotov throwable and "a range of new attachments." Their unlock levels and Cash prices are not in the preview — they come with the full patch notes.

What new vehicles are coming in WARDOGS Season 2? Four: the Wolf-110 light transport, the Wolf-110 (Assault) gun truck with a ring-mounted M2 Browning, the T-72 main battle tank (cheaper and more fuel-efficient than the existing Leopard / Heavy Tank), and the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air vehicle.

What is the WARDOGS Wager Vendor? An experimental, entirely optional Season 2 feature that lets you bet your own Cash on your performance. You pick objectives, set a death budget and a stake, and profit if you hit the objectives inside that budget — or lose the stake if you don't. Stacking more objectives lengthens the odds and raises the payout. BULKHEAD says it may pull the feature mid-season if it proves too exploitable.

Does the new rain weather actually affect gameplay? Yes. BULKHEAD says the rain preset changes visibility, engagement ranges and sound, and that server-synchronised thunder can temporarily mask footsteps — a shared "cover noise" window you can use to push or reposition.

Why is Lonestar (the blue team) getting buffed in Season 2? Because the data showed Lonestar had a notably lower win rate and players avoided the team. For Season 2 only, Lonestar gets desaturated uniforms, moved spawns on Bakurani, and Cash and XP win bonuses and multipliers. A separate 20%-off vendor discount applies to any team 40+ points behind second place.

Do my Season 1 levels and Cash carry into Season 2? No. Season 2 is a reset: XP and levels return to a new curve and banked Cash auto-converts to Gold Bars. Only Gold Bars and cosmetics persist across the wipe.
