What does Lynae do in Wuthering Waves?
Kuro's Resonator Review gives her seven combat roles: Concerto Efficiency, Basic Attack DMG, DMG Amplification, Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification, Tune Rupture Response, Tune Strain Response and Tune Break Boost. That is a long list, and it is why players call her a "swiss army knife". She does a bit of damage, buffs the whole team, and plugs into both Tune Break systems added in Version 3.0.

How does Lynae's roller-skate loop work?
Her rotation has two states, and the build only makes sense once you know them:
- Optical Sampling Stage (default). Basic Attacks, Resonance Skill, Mid-air Attacks and Dodge Counters fill Overflow (max 120). Her Intro Skill restores 100 Overflow in one go.
- With full Overflow, hold Normal Attack to charge and release for Spark Collision (holding until Lumiflow is full gives the strongest, Lv. 3 version). It sends her into Kaleidoscopic Parade, the roller-skating state, where moving and attacking fill Lumiflow (max 120).
- In Parade, Jump becomes Polychrome Leap. It costs a third of max Lumiflow, chains up to 3 times in the air and gives 1 True Color per leap.
- In mid-air with 3 True Color, press Normal Attack or Resonance Skill to cast Visual Impact. Per Kuro's skill text, this "grants all nearby Resonators in the team 40 points of Tune Break Boost for 30s". When Visual Impact is on cooldown, Iridescent Splash replaces it.
- Her Liberation, Prismatic Overblast, "grants all nearby Resonators in the team 24% All DMG Bonus that lasts for 30s".
- Her Outro, Let's Hit the Road!, gives the next Resonator 15% All DMG Amplification and 25% Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification for 14s, then ends Parade. The Outro buff ends early if that Resonator is switched out, so swap into your carry and stay on them.
So a standard field window is Intro, fill Overflow, Spark Collision, three leaps, Visual Impact, Liberation, then Outro into your carry.
Tune Rupture or Tune Strain: which Resonance Mode should Lynae use?
Lynae's leaps, Visual Impact, Iridescent Splash and Intro all inflict Photochromic Flux. The mode decides what Flux turns into:

Which mode should you use? Match your main DPS. In practice, check which mode your carry's own Tune Break text responds to and switch Lynae to the same one. Her Inherent Skill also leaves Spray Paint after Visual Impact, which keeps applying Flux for 5 seconds even if you change mode.
What are the best Echoes for Lynae?
Kuro's Resonator Review lists one set: Pact of Neonlight Leap. It is also the consensus pick across the nine guides tracked by the WuWa Wiki. Kuro's Version 3.0 patch notes give the 5-piece effect:
"Casting Outro Skill increases the ATK of the incoming Resonator who casts Intro Skill by 15%. Each point of Tune Break Boost the incoming Resonator has additionally increases their ATK by 0.3%, up to 15%. This effect lasts for 15s, or until the Resonator is switched out." (Kuro Games, Version 3.0 patch notes)
That makes the set a buff for whoever comes in after her, which is exactly how she is played. Watch out for third-party pages quoting "0.5% up to 50%". Kuro's patch notes say 0.3% up to 15%, so the top total is +30% ATK.

Does Lynae need Energy Regen? Yes, unlike Lucilla. Her biggest contribution is the 24% team-wide DMG Bonus from her Liberation. If she misses it on a rotation, the whole team loses that buff. Hit about 125% before you chase more Crit.

Is Spectrum Blaster worth it? It is the only weapon on the list with a team-wide buff. Lynae inflicts Shifting constantly, so the 24% is close to permanent. Even so, Prydwen's pull note, as summarised on the WuWa Wiki, is that she does not need her signature weapon. Our call: the signature is a luxury for players who already have their main DPS kit. If you want it, Spectrum Blaster has a 100% guarantee for the featured 5-star on its 3.7 Phase II weapon banner (Kuro Games, Phase II Convene notice, 20 October 2026).
Budget tip: Relativistic Jet is one of the boosted 4-star weapons on all three Phase II weapon banners, so any weapon-banner pulls this phase raise your odds of extra copies. It refunds Resonance Energy on every Resonance Skill, which helps if you are short of the 125% Energy Regen target.
What is Lynae's skill priority?
Inherent Skills unlock with Ascension, so take both as soon as you can. The second one, Adaptive Optics, gives +25% Spectro DMG for 9s after her Intro. Then level in this order (WuWa Wiki consensus of nine guides):
- Forte Circuit (Chromaticity Modeling) to 10. It holds Spark Collision, the leaps, Visual Impact and her Tune responses.
- Resonance Liberation (Prismatic Overblast) to 10.
- Normal Attack and Resonance Skill to 10. Most of her personal damage counts as Basic Attack DMG.
- Intro Skill to 6.
Which Lynae Sequences (Resonance Chains) matter?
Lynae's kit is complete at S0, and Game8, Prydwen and GuruGamer all rate her a must-pull without any Sequences. If you go further:
- S1, Days to be Painted Like a Canvas: Polychrome Leap multiplier +120%, Spray Paint lasts twice as long and pulls enemies in, and her leaps and Visual Impact become uninterruptible. A strong quality-of-life node.
- S2, Into Lights' Vanishing Point: she gains 25% All DMG Amplification, and her Outro gives the incoming Resonator another 25% All DMG Amplification for 14s. This is the best support node and helps almost any carry.
- S3, For One Brilliant Moment: Visual Impact and Iridescent Splash +90%, plus Premixed Hue stacks for Additive Color. Personal damage only.
- S6: opens a main-DPS playstyle.
Our view: S0 with a finished Neonlight set is enough for current endgame. The two upgrades do not cost the same: Spectrum Blaster is guaranteed within 80 pulls on its weapon banner, while S2 means two more copies of Lynae on a 50/50 banner (up to 320 more pulls from zero pity in the worst case). S2 buffs the carry more directly, so it is the stronger upgrade if you are a heavy spender; the signature is the cheaper, more predictable one.

Who can replace Mornye?
Mornye is in most of these teams because she is also a Tune Break support. If you do not own her, the WuWa Wiki lists Qingxiao / Lynae / Shorekeeper as an S-tier option (estimated from the main DPS tier), and Chisa fills the last slot in the official Hiyuki team. Lynae also works on Liberation carries. In a r/WutheringWaves thread this month, one player noted that Chisa's "personal damage got a nice boost with Lynae just like Iuno", and another reported higher damage running her with Electro Flare Hsin than with the Electro Rover.
Lynae or Lucilla for Hiyuki?
Both rerun in the same phase, on separate banners. Lucilla is slightly stronger in Hiyuki's Glacio Chafe team specifically. Lynae fits far more teams. If you own neither and can afford only one, Lynae is the safer pull. If you already own Lynae, Lucilla lets you move Lynae to a second team. - Pull if you own Hiyuki, Qingxiao, Aemeath, Luuk Herssen or Chisa, or if you simply lack a strong sub-DPS. Game8, Prydwen and GuruGamer all rate her a must-pull, and GuruGamer ranks her as the best rerun of the whole patch (per the WuWa Wiki guide summary).

How many pulls? Kuro's official Convene rules give an 80-pull hard pity and a 50/50 on the featured Resonator that becomes a guarantee after a loss. The pity count is shared across all Featured Resonator Convenes and carries over from Phase I. From zero pity, budget up to 160 pulls (25,600 Astrite) for a guaranteed Lynae.
