The next Counter-Strike 2 Major is PGL Major Singapore 2026, running 25 November to 13 December, and as of 19 October one S-Tier tournament is left that can still change who gets invited: PGL Masters Bucharest, 24–31 October, the last to finish before the cut-off. All 32 invitations come from a single Valve Regional Standings snapshot published on Monday 2 November. The S-Tier stop before Bucharest, the Thunderpick World Championship, closed in Malta on 18 October.
One caveat before any standings list, including the one below: Valve's newest published snapshot is still dated 5 October, day three of ESL Pro League Season 24 — and it carries no result from that event, not even its first two days, nor anything from Malta. Nothing else is published before the invitation snapshot itself, so every Valve regional ranking in circulation is that file or a projection of it.
What Malta settled, and what is left to play
FURIA beat BetBoom Team 3-2 in the Thunderpick World Championship grand final on 18 October, closing on Cache 13-6 from 1-2 down, to defend the title they won in Malta in 2025. KSCERATO took the HLTV MVP medal, his second at this event. Aurora Gaming beat Team Falcons 2-1 in the third-place decider.
Malta's useful Major result is not the trophy. Falcons, beaten in that decider, are fifth in Europe on the 5 October file — comfortably inside the region's provisional 18 places, but only 44 points above FUT Esports and 127 above Aurora. Regional rank decides which of the three Swiss stages a team is invited to, not just its seeding, and FUT and Aurora are both in the Bucharest field of 24–31 October while Falcons are not; neither Aurora's Malta third place nor Falcons' own fourth is in a published file yet. On the 5 October numbers, then, Falcons' place at the Major looks safe and the stage they enter it at does not. Further down the same list, Natus Vincere sit 28th in Europe, below the provisional 18-slot line, and they open Bucharest against G2 on 24 October. As of 19 October, points are also available below S-Tier: A-Tier 1win Private Club #2 runs 19–22 October and Stake Ranked Episode 5 on 27–30 October, and Valve-ranked B-Tier events run throughout the window — the rest of the calendar is here. IEM Beijing begins on 2 November itself, so nothing there can count. ESL Pro League Season 24 ended on 11 October, Vitality beating MOUZ 3-0.
PGL Major Singapore 2026: dates, venue and format
Singapore is the second CS2 Major of 2026, after IEM Cologne in June, and PGL bills it as the first in Southeast Asia. PGL's event page gives 25 November to 13 December, the final four days at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang. PGL contradicts itself on the start date: its August 2026 press release with ASUS says 24 November. The pool is $1.25 million across 32 teams.
Three consecutive 16-team Swiss stages feed a bracket. Three wins advance, three losses eliminate; elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three, everything else best-of-one. Eight teams survive each stage and are joined by eight fresh invites, so 16 invites to Stage 1, eight to Stage 2 and eight to Stage 3 produce an eight-team playoff with a best-of-five final.
How the 32 invitations are split by region
Invitations use three regional lists — Europe, the Americas and Asia — and the global VRS only seeds teams once invitations are accepted. This is Valve's ranking, not the community-run world ranking. Liquipedia's provisional map gives Europe 18 places, the Americas nine and Asia five.
The rulebook prints allocation rules for two of the three stages: one Stage 3 invitation per region team that reached the previous Major's playoffs, and one Stage 2 invitation per region team that reached its Stage 3. Stage 1 has no rule at all. The Stage 3 rule reproduces the Stage 3 column of Valve's published allocation table; the Stage 2 rule cannot reproduce its own column, because a Major's Stage 3 holds 16 teams while only eight Stage 2 invitations exist. And that table still covers Winter 2025, so none of Singapore's regional split is official yet.
Valve's region rule, and the BC.Game exception
On 6 October Valve added one sentence to the Major supplemental rulebook: "A roster is only eligible for a Regional Assignment if they did not appear in any other region's VRS list in the preceding three calendar months." Because a roster's region is whichever one a majority of its players represent, a single substitution could, until 6 October, move a lineup out of crowded Europe into a shallower pool.
A day later Valve named one exception, assigning BC.Game's asap, Magisk, mzinho, s1mple and Senzu to Asia. They were 30th in Europe on 7 September; after asap replaced the Russian electroNic on 22 September, three of the five represented Asia, and the 5 October file has them third in that region.

- Asia (5 slots) — TYLOO 1,340, The MongolZ 1,318, BC.Game 1,318, Lynn Vision 1,190, 5star 1,110; FlyQuest, Oceanic but placed by Valve on the Asia list, are sixth on 1,093.
The intact-roster trap
Invitations go to the roster, not the organisation, and only if it is intact. Stage 3 invites go out first, then Stage 2, then Stage 1; a roster that declines or is no longer intact does not play, and the next-ranked roster takes the slot. Only if a region runs short of eligible rosters does Valve fall back to a last-chance regional qualifier.
That rule has teeth in Asia. The lineup Valve ranks second on 5 October is 910, bLitz, DarkMeister, Techno and tikuak — but The MongolZ benched DarkMeister and tikuak on 15 September, and on 5 October the org reinstated cobrazera and signed nin9. Whichever lineup Valve carries on 2 November is the one the intact-roster rule is applied to.
