ZywOo's 34th MVP, and how Vitality and MOUZ got there
HLTV gave the Season 24 MVP to ZywOo, which its own report records as the 34th of his career — and his second in a row, after he was also named MVP of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 three weeks earlier.
Vitality lost three maps in the whole event. They went 2-0 over 1w Team, 2-1 over Natus Vincere and 2-1 over Team Falcons in the Swiss stage, 2-0 over PARIVISION in the quarterfinal, 2-1 over Aurora in the semifinal, and 3-0 in the final: 13-3 in maps. Anubis accounts for two of the three losses. The roster that did it was apEX, ZywOo, flameZ, mezii and ropz under coach XTQZZZ.
MOUZ had the cleaner run until the semifinal. torzsi, xertioN, Spinx, xelex and PR won their first nine maps of the event — 2-0 against M80, FURIA and Spirit in the Swiss stage, 2-0 against FURIA again in the quarterfinal, and the opening Dust II of the semifinal 13-7. Spirit then took Mirage 13-5, and MOUZ closed that series on Nuke 13-11. The final leaves them 10-4 in maps for the event. Their previous grand final was BLAST Open Porto five weeks ago, where Spirit beat them 3-1.
Vitality's second trophy in three weeks
Season 24 is Vitality's second title in 21 days. They beat Aurora 3-1 in the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 grand final in Barcelona on 20 September, which HLTV recorded as their first title since May, and they then beat Aurora again in the Katowice semifinal before taking the Pro League.
Season 24 also ran under the ESL Grand Slam VII banner — a Pro League title counts toward that, not toward Major qualification.
What Season 24 does and does not settle
The tournament moves Valve Regional Standings points but hands out no Major places. Invitations to the PGL Major in Singapore are drawn from a single reading of the regional standings on 2 November, with a last-chance regional qualifier as the only fallback and only if a region runs out of eligible intact rosters. So only events finishing before that date can still change who gets in.
Two S-Tier events are left inside that window: the Thunderpick World Championship from 14 October and PGL Masters Bucharest from 24 October. Everything further down the remaining 2026 calendar starts on or after 2 November — Intel Extreme Masters Beijing opens on the snapshot day itself — and cannot affect the invitation list.
Season 24 format, dates and map pool
Season 24 was a 16-team event: a Swiss stage from 3 October with every match a best-of-three, three series wins to advance and three losses out, then the top eight into a single-elimination bracket with the grand final the only best-of-five in it. The playoffs moved to the Spodek Arena on 9 October. The map pool was Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage and Nuke.
