Alchemy Mastery

TBC Alchemy Mastery Unlock - WoW TBC Anniversary

  • Level 68, 325 Skill
  • 1-4 Bonus Items
  • Unlock or Swap

An alchemy mastery is a one-time trainer quest that permanently procs extra output on one craft category. The gate is level 68 and 325 Alchemy. First pick is $18.44; moving off a mastery you already hold is $27.44.

Three masteries, three different Outland trainers, one quest each:

  • Elixir Master — Lorokeem, Lower City in Shattrath. Master of Elixirs wants 10 Essence of Infinity off Rift Lords and Rift Keepers in The Black Morass, plus 5 Elixir of Major Defense, 5 Elixir of Mastery and 5 Elixir of Major Agility;
  • Potion Master — Lauranna Thar'well, Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh. Master of Potions wants the Botanist's Field Guide from the second boss in The Botanica, plus 5 Super Healing, 5 Super Mana and 5 Major Dreamless Sleep Potions;
  • Transmutation Master — Zarevhi, The Stormspire in Netherstorm. Master of Transmutation wants 4 Primal Might20 primals once you count the Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Mana that feed them.

What the mastery actually pays: every craft in your own category rolls a chance to make 1 to 4 extra items at no extra material cost. There are no mastery-only recipes in TBC alchemy — the proc is the entire reward. A character holds exactly one mastery at a time, so a switch means 150 gold to unlearn at your current trainer and then running the new trainer's quest from scratch.

Which one is worth which player: Transmutation for gold, because Primal Might and gem transmute procs sell straight off the auction house; Elixir if you are the one bankrolling a raid's flask supply; Potion if your 25-man burns healing and mana pots by the stack and you want that volume back.

325 skill is the hard prerequisite. If your alchemist is short of it, the Alchemy Leveling 1-375 service on timesaver.gg takes the bar up first and this order picks up from there. Turnaround is 24-48 hours on US realms, booked around your own ET or PT play window. EU realms sit on the region switch above.

Frequently asked questions

  • A TBC alchemy mastery needs level 68 and 325 Alchemy skill on the character. At that point Lorokeem, Lauranna Thar'well and Zarevhi will each offer their one-time quest, and finishing it learns the mastery permanently. On this page a first-time unlock is $18.44. Anything under 325 skill has to be leveled first, which our separate Alchemy Leveling 1-375 service covers.

  • All three sit in different corners of Outland. Elixir Master is Lorokeem in the Lower City of Shattrath, Potion Master is Lauranna Thar'well at Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh, and Transmutation Master is Zarevhi at The Stormspire in Netherstorm. Each one hands out only its own quest, so the trainer you visit decides the mastery you end up with.

  • Transmutation Master. Every transmute you run has a chance to return 1 to 4 extra items for free, and on Primal Might and the gem transmutes those procs are pure profit at auction house prices. Elixir Master is the raid pick because flask procs cut a guild's consumable bill, and Potion Master suits players who burn Super Healing and Super Mana Potions by the stack in 25-man content.

  • No. A TBC alchemist holds exactly one of Elixir, Potion or Transmutation Master. To change it you pay 150 gold to unlearn at the trainer who taught you, then complete the new trainer's quest from the beginning — the materials are not refunded and the quest does not carry over. That full swap is $27.44 here against $18.44 for a first pick.

  • Zarevhi at The Stormspire in Netherstorm asks for 4 Primal Might. Each Primal Might is transmuted from one Primal Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Mana, so the quest consumes 20 primals in total and it is comfortably the most expensive of the three alchemy mastery quests on Anniversary realms. Our price covers the farming and the turn-in.

  • No, and this is where alchemy differs from tailoring or blacksmithing. TBC alchemy masteries add no recipes at all — the only benefit is the proc chance for 1 to 4 bonus items on crafts in your chosen category. That is why a mastery is worth taking on any alchemist who crafts in volume, and why the 150 gold swap is a low-stakes decision.

  • Yes. Every US TBC Anniversary realm is covered, PvE and PvP, and US is the default region on this page. Typical turnaround for an alchemy mastery is 24-48 hours, scheduled around your own play window in ET or PT with US support hours on the order chat. Super Express starts the run immediately for 40% more, and Self-play Remote keeps the account on your machine for 30% more.
