Don't trust any specific "launch hour" you see on a third-party site — nobody outside NC has that number yet. We'll update this guide the moment it's official.
Platforms: Windows PC only at global launch, via Steam and PURPLE (NC's own launcher). There is a mobile version — but only in Korea and Taiwan; NC has not announced a Western mobile release. A console version is confirmed for after the PC launch, with no date and no named platform yet. So for October 5, plan on PC.

Every player is a Daeva — an ascended, winged being — in the world of Atreia. You pick one of two factions:
- Elyos — the "light" faction.
- Asmodian — the "dark" faction.
Mechanically the two are mirror images; the choice is mostly aesthetic and social. What matters more for a beginner is who your friends are playing — factions fight each other, so you want to be on the same side as the people you'll group with. ⚠️ Some community sources report that Elyos and Asmodians live on separate servers and only meet in the endgame PvP zone (the Abyss). NC has not confirmed the global server structure, so don't treat that as a fact — but it's another reason to coordinate your faction pick with your group before launch.

The Market (the auction house) and the Kina ↔ Quna Exchange are locked behind a $15/month Membership. NC's own wording is that Membership "unlocks the Market and the Kina↔Quna Exchange, plus additional gameplay benefits for members." In plain terms: as a free player, the only Kina you'll ever hold is what you earn yourself from playing — you can't sell your loot to other players to build a reserve, because the Market is a Membership feature.
Two more confirmed economy facts worth knowing:
- Direct player-to-player trading is disabled. NC stated in its post-test notice that, as an anti-bot measure, "direct player-to-player trades are disabled. The Market remains our central hub for trading between players." So even members trade through the Market, not face-to-face.
