AION 2 has one active global coupon code right now — TAKEFLIGHTAION2 — and it gives Odyle Energy, a Resurrection Spiritstone and ten Battle Enhance Scrolls. It was issued by NC on October 1, 2026 to celebrate the game topping the Steam Global Top Sellers chart, and it expires in mid-October. This page tracks every verified AION 2 code for the global launch, the exact rewards, the precise in-game redemption path, and the expiry clock — and it is blunt about the dozens of fake "codes" circulating for a game that most of the English-speaking world has had access to for less than a week.
Quick answer: As of October 2, 2026, the only working AION 2 global coupon is TAKEFLIGHTAION2. Redeem it in game at Settings → Miscellaneous → Account → Enter Coupon. It grants Odyle Energy (Bound) ×4, Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) ×5, and Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) ×10. It ends October 13, 11:00 PM PDT (NA) / October 14, 08:00 CEST (EU). Separately, a free Battle Enhancement Scroll (Engraved) ×5 mailbox gift is sitting in every player's in-game inbox through the end of Early Access — no code needed.
This article applies to the global launch build of AION 2 (Advance Access began September 30, 2026; worldwide free-to-play launch is October 5, 2026). AION 2 is a brand-new Unreal Engine 5 MMORPG from NC (NCSoft) — it is not the original Aion (2008) and not Aion Classic, which matters a great deal for codes, as you'll see below.
Active AION 2 codes (October 2026)
There is exactly one confirmed, redeemable AION 2 coupon for the global service this month. Anyone presenting a longer list is either padding with expired Korean codes or inventing them.
| Code | Rewards | Status | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| TAKEFLIGHTAION2 | Odyle Energy (Bound) ×4 · Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) ×5 · Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) ×10 | ✅ Active | NA: Oct 13, 11:00 PM PDT · EU: Oct 14, 08:00 CEST |
NC announced the code in its official "A Thank You Gift to all Daevas!" Steam post on September 30, 2026, with the caveat that it only goes live once servers return from the October 1 maintenance:
"Thank you, Daevas. AION 2 is No. 1 on Steam Global Top Sellers, and No. 1 in 13 countries including United States, Germany, France, and Brazil… Redeem code TAKEFLIGHTAION2… One redemption per account. Items are bound and cannot be traded." — NC, official AION 2 Steam announcement, September 30, 2026
A few details that trip people up:
- It is one redemption per account, and the rewards are bound — you cannot sell them on the Market or hand them to an alt. Claim it on the character you actually intend to play.
- The clock is regional. NC set two different cut-offs: October 13 at 11:00 PM PDT for North America and October 14 at 08:00 CEST for Europe. If you're on a Latin America or Asia server, treat the NA cut-off as your safe deadline and redeem early.
- It didn't work before October 1. The code was dead until the post-maintenance servers came up on October 1. If you tried it on September 30 and it failed, that's why — try again now.
The free mailbox gift (no code required)
On October 1, NC followed up with a second, quieter giveaway in a post titled "A token of appreciation to all Daevas" — and this one has no code at all. It's delivered straight to your in-game mailbox:
"We've all noticed your positivity across channels and regions, and we wanted to send you a humble gift. Check your inbox until the end of the Early Access to receive: Battle Enhancement Scroll (Engraved) ×5." — NC, official AION 2 Steam announcement, October 1, 2026
Open the in-game mail window and claim it. NC says it's available "until the end of the Early Access," which closes as the worldwide launch opens on October 5 — don't sit on it.
How to redeem a coupon code in AION 2
NC spelled out the exact menu path in the same announcement, and it's the single source of truth here (ignore the third-party "redeem on the website" guides — AION 2's coupon entry is in-client):
- Launch AION 2 (via Steam or the PURPLE launcher) and log into the account and character you want the rewards on.
- Open Settings.
- Go to the Miscellaneous tab.
- Select the Account sub-section.
- Find the Enter Coupon field, type TAKEFLIGHTAION2 exactly, and press Confirm.
The code is not case-sensitive in most clients, but type it exactly as written to be safe, with no spaces. If it's accepted, the bound items land in your inventory or mailbox immediately. If you get an "already used" message, you've claimed it on that account already — it's one per account, not one per character.
What the rewards actually do
These aren't cosmetics — they're functional early-game progression items, which is why the code is worth claiming on day one rather than letting it expire.
- Odyle Energy (Bound) ×4 — Odyle Energy is an AION 2 resource tied to character power systems. NC hands it out as a launch reward, so it's a meaningful top-up for a fresh Daeva. (NC has not published a full English breakdown of every Odyle Energy sink for the global build, so we'll describe it as a character-power resource rather than invent exact numbers.)
- Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) ×5 — self-revive items. In an MMO where you'll die to questing mobs and PvP alike during the land-rush of launch week, five free revives on a bound stack is genuinely useful and saves you a trip back to a bind point.
- Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) ×10 — combat-buff consumables. Ten of them is a solid stack to burn through your first dungeon runs and the opening hours of the head-start route.
Add the Battle Enhancement Scroll (Engraved) ×5 from the mailbox gift and you've got a healthy consumable cushion for your first sessions — all for about two minutes of menu-clicking.
Why there's only one code (and why most "AION 2 code" lists are fake)
If you search "AION 2 codes," you'll hit a wall of pages listing ten or twenty coupons. Almost all of them are wrong, and here's the mechanical reason:
AION 2 global only opened on September 30, 2026. Before that date there was no live global account to redeem anything into. Every "working code" dated earlier than late September belongs to one of three places, none of which touch your global account:
- The Korean / Taiwanese version of AION 2, which launched on November 19, 2025 and is a separate service almost a year ahead. Its coupons do not work on the global client, and NC has not confirmed any account transfer between the two.
- The original Aion (2008) and Aion Classic, which are entirely different games that happen to share a name and a lot of lore terms. Their promo codes have nothing to do with AION 2.
- Auto-generated "code" splogs that publish fake coupons to farm search traffic. If a page lists a code with no official NC source and no expiry, assume it's invented.
So the honest state of play is: one real global code right now (TAKEFLIGHTAION2), plus the no-code mailbox gift. We'll add new codes to the table above the moment NC publishes them through its official channels — and only then.
Where new AION 2 codes come from
NC distributes AION 2 coupons through a short list of official channels. Watch these and you'll catch codes the day they drop:
- The official AION 2 Steam news feed (App ID 3393110) — where both the launch code and the mailbox gift were announced.
- The official AION 2 notice board at aion2.plaync.com.
- NC's official AION 2 social accounts and Discord, which tend to post celebration codes tied to milestones (the current code exists because the game hit No. 1 on Steam).
Launch-week milestones are exactly when publishers hand out codes — player-count records, chart positions, server-stability apologies. AION 2 topping the global sales chart in its first days is precisely the kind of event that triggered TAKEFLIGHTAION2, so it's reasonable to expect more around the October 5 worldwide launch. A word on "free Kina" and third-party "codes"
Because AION 2's economy runs on Kina (the earned currency, often written "Kinah" after the original Aion) and Quna (the premium currency), you'll see sites advertising "free Kina codes" or "Kina generator codes." These do not exist. NC does not issue currency via public coupons, and the Market and Kina↔Quna Exchange are gated behind the optional $15/month Membership — there is no coupon that bypasses any of that. Anything promising free Kina for a code is a scam or a credential-phishing page. The only free rewards are the official ones on this page.
FAQ
What is the active AION 2 code right now? As of October 2, 2026, the only working global coupon is TAKEFLIGHTAION2. It gives Odyle Energy (Bound) ×4, Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) ×5, and Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) ×10. NC issued it to mark AION 2 reaching No. 1 on the Steam Global Top Sellers chart.
When does TAKEFLIGHTAION2 expire? It ends October 13 at 11:00 PM PDT for North America and October 14 at 08:00 CEST for Europe. If you're on an Asia or Latin America server, redeem before the NA cut-off to be safe. It became redeemable only after the October 1 server maintenance, so a failure on September 30 was expected.
How do I redeem a coupon code in AION 2? In game, open Settings → Miscellaneous → Account → Enter Coupon, type the code exactly, and press Confirm. Redemption is in-client — AION 2 does not use a separate code-redemption website. Rewards are one per account and bound, so claim on the character you'll main.
Are there any free AION 2 rewards without a code? Yes. A Battle Enhancement Scroll (Engraved) ×5 gift is waiting in your in-game mailbox and needs no code — NC says it's claimable through the end of Early Access. Just open your mail and collect it.
Do Korean AION 2 codes work on the global version? No. The Korean and Taiwanese AION 2 launched in November 2025 as a separate service and its coupons don't apply to the global account. Codes from the original Aion (2008) and Aion Classic don't work either — those are different games.
Is there a free Kina code? No. NC does not issue currency through public coupons, and any site offering "free Kina" or a "Kina generator code" is fake. The game's trading economy is tied to the optional Membership, and no code bypasses it.
