Blox Fruits Mirage Island Guide: How to Spawn It, Blue Gear Spots & Dealer

"How does Mirage Island work?" is a question players still ask on r/bloxfruits, and the honest answer is that it's a luck check with rules. You can't summon it, but you can stack the odds, and most failed hunts come from a mistake the game never explains: sailing too deep, dying on the island, or resonating right before sunrise.

This guide covers how to spawn Mirage Island, which Sea Danger Level to sail in, how to complete the Blue Gear step with the 13 mapped spots, and how to find the Advanced Fruit Dealer before the island disappears.

Quick answer: Mirage Island is a rare Third Sea sea event (Lv. 1500+). Sail or sit on a boat in Sea Danger Level 4–5, the best balance of spawn chance and visibility, and avoid Level 6. It lasts about 10 minutes and despawns early if the player who spawned it dies, leaves or moves away. There's no cooldown, and it can spawn day or night. It holds the Advanced Fruit Dealer (restocks every 2 hours, at least 7 fruits) and the Blue Gear, which you only need once for Race V4.

Mechanics here come from the Blox Fruits Fandom wiki pages for Mirage Island, Blue Gear, Sea Danger Level and the Race Awakening puzzle, all pulled October 30, 2026. This applies to the current Magnet-era build; the game last updated on October 22, 2026. Blox Fruits had 121,262 concurrent players on the Roblox Games API at 07:27 UTC on October 30, 2026 (universe 994732206). We found no official spawn odds, so none are quoted here.

What is Mirage Island in Blox Fruits?

Mirage Island is a temporary island that only spawns at sea in the Third Sea, which you can reach from Lv. 1500. The wiki calls it "one of the rarest sea events to occur." It matters for three reasons:

Reason to goWhat's thereDo you need it more than once?
Race V4The Blue GearNo, once per account
Better fruit stockThe Advanced Fruit DealerYes, each time you want Mirage stock
LootFragment chests (100–250) and Mirage chests (7,500–13,000 Beli)Optional bonus

You don't need Mirage at all if you're taking the Draco route. The wiki lists separate V4 requirements for Draco: the Freezing Hydra Island quest, Prehistoric Island and the Volcano Event. For a comparison of all seven races, see our Blox Fruits best race guide.

Where does Mirage Island spawn?

Sail in Sea Danger Level 4 or 5. Your compass shows the current level, which rises as you move away from the main islands.

The wiki's pages don't fully agree here. The Mirage Island page says it spawns in Levels 2–6, while the Sea Danger Level page says it "may appear" at Level 0 with "a very low chance from levels 0-3," and a higher chance from Level 4 up. The Sea Danger Level page puts the higher chance at Level 4 and up.

The Sea Danger Level page says it plainly: "It is recommended to look for Mirage Island in danger levels 4-5 and face towards the main islands." Players report the same thing. One r/bloxfruits reply on October 24 said they had the best chance "around sea danger level 4 to 5," mostly spawning it by accident during Sea Beast hunts.

How do you spawn Mirage Island faster?

You can't force it, but these wiki-listed habits help:

  • Stay on your boat. It can spawn with the boat standing still, as long as you're sitting on it.
  • Bring more boats. One tip on the Mirage page says the spawn rate rises with the number of ships in the area, not players on a single ship. Another line on the same page says each Sea Exploration Group member raises the chance "by a little." Treat several crewed boats as the best setup.
  • Clear sea events quickly. The wiki suggests Portal's V or C skill to despawn events, or a Kitsune user to distract ones like the Terrorshark.
  • Use a tanky or fast boat. The wiki names Lantern, Guardian and Beast Hunter for health, and The Sentinel and Miracle for speed.
  • Turn on Fast Mode. It removes most of the darkness and smoke.
  • Time your search. The wiki says to start around sunrise (another tip says mid-day), so night begins around when you find the island. An island found too early can vanish before dark.

Solo hunts come down to luck, so don't expect a set time. Some players still prefer it to the alternative. As one put it on r/bloxfruits: "I'd rather do mirage than leviathan any day of the week."

What makes Mirage Island despawn?

The island leaves after a time limit or when its spawner stops being near it:

  • Time: the Mirage Island page says 10 minutes. A trivia line on the Blue Gear page says 15. Plan around 10.
  • The spawner dies or disconnects: this despawns it even if other players are on the island.
  • The spawner moves away: whoever spawned it needs to stay near it.
  • A Sea Beast spawns too close: the wiki says this sometimes happens, and it's more likely with Rumbling Waters. Get on land right away.

There's no cooldown, so a failed run doesn't lock you out. Also try to disable PvP before you go, because if you die you won't respawn on the island.

How do you get the Blue Gear on Mirage Island?

The Blue Gear unlocks the lever at the Temple of Time, which opens the V4 trials. Get these five things done before you start hunting Mirage:

  • Access to the Third Sea
  • Defeat rip_indra True Form
  • Complete the Sealed King quest, including the Great Tree and Temple of Time visit
  • Have 1 Mirror Fractal, a guaranteed drop from the Lv. 2300 Dough King. It isn't used up by resonating
  • Have your race at V3

Then follow these steps on the island:

  • Go to a high point at night. The wiki says the highest peak or the island's center both work. The peak is the small red dot near the right edge of the maps in this guide, not the larger red ring near spot 1.
  • Activate your race ability and look at the moon for about 5–15 seconds. Shift Lock or first person helps it register, and console players should try joining in first person.
  • Wait for the message: "Your Mirror Fractal has resonated with the moon."
  • Find the glowing gear and run over it. You'll see "You found a weird artifact…"
  • Go to the Temple of Time, take the left hallway and pull the hidden lever. Without the gear, it says "You lack the strength to move it."

Any moon phase works for resonance. You don't need a full moon until the trials, though older guides may still say otherwise. Trials do need a Full Moon, which comes around every eight in-game nights (roughly 180 minutes), plus three players on different V3+ races.

Day and night swap every 10–12 minutes, and the Blue Gear vanishes when night ends, even if the island is still there. The wiki also warns that if you resonate right before morning, you can't resonate again the next night on that same island. If dawn is close, a fresh island may be your better option.

Where are the Blue Gear locations on Mirage Island?

The wiki's maps mark 13 spots, and the page says there are "likely more." The map at the top of this guide numbers those 13 with a one-way route, and the one below shows shorter paths for solo, duo and trio groups.

A few facts make the search much easier:

  • Everyone sees the same spot. The gear spawns in the same place for your whole team, so one person can call the others over.
  • Search from outside the fog. The wiki says the gear is clearly visible if you leave the island and look back at it. A slow flight move helps; it names awakened Magma's flight and Love's F.
  • You can't see it twice. Once you've collected it, you can't resonate or see it again, so a player who already has it can't scout for you.
  • Use your speed gear after resonance. Swap to Pilot Helmet, Dino Hood or a Hunter Cape.
  • Light up the dark. Skull Guitar's M1 lights up what it hits, and awakened Buddha's transformation in first person brightens the screen. Our Buddha guide covers that fruit in full.

Do you have to repeat this for every race? No. The wiki confirms it stays saved after you change race, and r/bloxfruits agrees: "Only need to find it once and then you can get all race v4's."

How do you find the Advanced Fruit Dealer?

The Advanced Fruit Dealer stands at a random spot on the island, so split up. The wiki recommends 2–3 people because he's hard to see, especially in the fog at night. His stock is the same on every server, so hunting Mirage on another server won't change it.

Check what's on sale before you commit to a hunt. Our Blox Fruits stock guide explains restock times and how Mirage stock differs. When Kitsune appears in Mirage stock, players post group calls on r/bloxfruits, but the wiki doesn't archive Mirage stock history, so treat any quoted odds as unverified.

Done waiting on Mirage stock? The island may not spawn before the 2-hour restock, and the fruit you wanted may be gone by then.

Will the Halloween event affect Mirage Island?

It might. The Blox Fruits Halloween event starts October 31, 2026 at 14:00 UTC, and the official Blox Bulletin #025 confirms the Harvest Moon is returning. During the 2025 Trick or Treating event, the wiki says it blocked the real moon, so players had to estimate the moon's position to resonate. We don't know yet whether it will do the same this year. If you need the Blue Gear, doing it before the event starts avoids the risk.

FAQ

Is Mirage Island only in the Third Sea? Yes. It only spawns in the Third Sea, so you need Lv. 1500 and Third Sea access.

What level of Sea Danger is best for Mirage Island? Level 4–5. The chance is higher from Level 4, and Level 6 makes the island very hard to see.

Can Mirage Island spawn during the day? Yes, it can spawn at any time. You only need night for the moon resonance and the Blue Gear.

How long does Mirage Island last? The Mirage Island wiki page says 10 minutes, while the Blue Gear page says 15. It also despawns if the player who spawned it dies, disconnects or moves away.

Do you need a full moon for the Blue Gear? No. Any moon phase works for resonance. The full moon only matters for starting the V4 trials.

Do you lose your Mirror Fractal when you resonate? No. The wiki says resonating doesn't use it up.

Do you need the Blue Gear for every race? No. You collect it once, and it stays saved when you change race.
