How to Get Godly in MM2 (2026): Every Method and the Real Odds

Quick answer (TLDR): As of October 30, 2026, there are five real ways to get a Godly in Murder Mystery 2: unbox one (every shop box has a 0.2% Godly chance, about 1 in 500, at 1,000 Coins a box), craft a Seer (20 Legendary shards, the only guaranteed Godly that costs no Robux), open the 2026 Halloween Box with Candies or Halloween Keys before the event ends on November 16, 2026, buy one with Robux (the Mortal Bundle is 3,399 Robux), or trade for one once you reach level 10. Trading is the fastest. A box or a crafted Seer usually gets you a Godly worth 3 to 35 on MM2 Values. A top Godly like Traveler's Gun is worth 5,150. There are no working MM2 codes.

"How do I get a Godly?" is the first big question every MM2 player asks. Most of the answers you'll find online are either years old or just a list of methods with no math behind them.

This guide uses numbers. Below: each method, what it costs in rounds, Coins, Candies or Robux, what the Godly you get is actually worth, and which method makes sense depending on whether you have time, Robux, or some items to trade. All odds come from the Murder Mystery 2 Wiki. All values are from MM2 Values, pulled October 30, 2026.

What counts as a Godly in MM2?

Godly sits above Legendary and one tier below Ancient in MM2 (Unique sits above both). Godly items have a pink-magenta name tag in your inventory. The MM2 Wiki currently lists 124 Godly weapons: 85 knives and 39 guns.

Two things to know before you start:

• Not all Godlies are worth the same. A Seer is worth about 3 on MM2 Values. A Traveler's Gun is worth 5,150. Both say "Godly." The rarity label tells you how the item was released, not what it trades for.
• Ancients are not Godlies. The Emberbow you get for 100,000 Candies at the end of the Halloween 2026 pass is an Ancient gun. It's rarer and usually worth more, but it isn't the answer to "how do I get a Godly."

MM2 is also very busy right now. A Games API pull at 01:26 UTC on October 30, 2026 had it at 499,215 players, second on Roblox behind Steal An Egg. Busy servers make trading easier. They don't change the box odds.

Method 1: How do you unbox a Godly in MM2?

Every regular box in the MM2 shop has its own Godly reward and a Chroma version (Mystery Box 2 has two). There are 11 boxes you can open right now: six knife boxes, three gun boxes and two mystery boxes. Each one costs 1,000 Coins, 100 Gems, or 1 Mystery Key. The MM2 Wiki now calls the Robux currency "Diamonds." The in-game button and older guides say "Gems." It's the same currency.

The MM2 Wiki reports it directly: "Box Godlies usually have a 0.2% (1 in 500) chance of being unboxed from their respective box." The Chroma version is 0.004%, or 1 in 25,000.

How many Coins does a box Godly cost?

On average, one Godly takes 500 boxes. That's 500,000 Coins.

The MM2 Wiki puts the Coin cap at 40 per round, or 50 per round with the Elite Gamepass (499 Robux). If you fill your bag every single round, that's:

• 12,500 rounds for an average Godly without Elite
• 10,000 rounds with Elite

"On average" is doing a lot of work there. Box odds have no memory. You can hit a Godly on box 3 or still be waiting on box 1,500. And the Godly you get is worth 8 to 35. You'll get far more value out of trading the Legendaries and Rares you open along the way.

Pick the box for the Godly you want to trade, not the one you like. If you're unboxing to trade up, Mystery Box 2 is the best pull. Its Godlies are worth about 3 to 4 times a Saw or a Fang. If you plan to craft a Seer instead, stick to the Classic boxes, because Season 1 Mystery Box items can't be salvaged.

⚠️ Coins don't drop during the Halloween 2026 event. The Wiki confirms Candies replace Coins until the event ends. Coins come back after November 16, 2026. Until then, the "free" box route is the Halloween Box below.

Method 2: Can you craft a Godly in MM2?

Yes. The Seer is the only Godly you're guaranteed to get without spending Robux.

The Crafting Station is in your inventory (the "View" button, bottom right). The Seer recipe is 20 Legendary shards. Salvaging a Legendary gives 2 Legendary shards, so you need to salvage 10 Legendaries.

⚠️ Only Classic weapons can be salvaged. The MM2 Wiki crafting page lists the exceptions: Season 1 weapons, event weapons, Ancients, Vintages, code knives and exclusives can't be salvaged. So Legendaries from the Classic knife and gun boxes count. Legendaries from Mystery Box 1 and 2 (Season 1) and from the Halloween Box don't.

There's a full chain if you don't have 10 Classic Legendaries yet. Every Classic non-Godly salvage gives 2 shards of its own rarity:

Before you spend 10 Classic Legendaries, check what you're getting. Seer is worth 3 on MM2 Values and 4 on Supreme. MM2 Values uses the Seer as its base value unit. Ten decent Legendaries can often trade for more than one Seer. Craft it if you want a Godly in your inventory for the first time. Don't craft it to get rich.

The Random Painted Seer (Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Purple, or a small chance at Chroma Seer) needs Godly shards and metals. You only get those by salvaging Godlies, and salvaging a Seer gives 1 Godly metal. It's a route for players who already have spare low Godlies.

Method 3: How do you get a Godly from the MM2 Halloween 2026 event?

The Halloween 2026 event runs from October 18 to November 16, 2026, 18:00 UTC, per Roblox's official event listing. It adds one box: the 2026 Halloween Box. It costs 600 Candies or 1 Halloween Key.

Its Godly is the Embersickle knife at 0.2%. Chroma Embersickle is 0.004%. Those are the same odds as a shop box. The only difference is you pay in Candies instead of Coins.

Where the free Keys come from: the 30-tier Halloween pass has a Halloween Key on every odd tier from 3 to 27. That's 13 Keys for clearing those tiers. The Keys are untradeable, so use them on the box.

The math: an average Embersickle takes 500 boxes, or 300,000 Candies. Embersickle is worth 80 on MM2 Values today. It was 250 on October 22, and early trading lists had it near 900 in launch week. Every box opened adds more of them to the game. Our Embersickle value page tracks the drop.

Method 4: Can you buy a Godly in MM2 with Robux?

Yes, but only during events, and only the Godlies in that event's gamepass.

Right now that's the Mortal Bundle for 3,399 Robux. It includes the Mortal knife, the Immortal gun and the Smolder effect. Mortal and Immortal are both priced at 140 (range 115 to 145) on MM2 Values today. Both have been falling since launch. Our Mortal value page has the full history.

A few rules about buying in the official shop:

• Since the Valentine's 2026 event, MM2 sells weapon gamepasses only inside the game, not on its Roblox page.
• Event gamepasses go off sale when the event ends. After November 16, the only way to get Mortal or Immortal is trading.
• Gems (Diamonds) can only be bought with Robux. They buy boxes and Mystery Keys (125 Diamonds each), not Godlies directly.

Method 5: How do you trade for a Godly in MM2?

Trading is the fastest way to get a Godly and the only way to get one that's out of rotation. Most of the valuable Godlies, like Traveler's Gun (5,150), Evergun (3,425), Evergreen (2,700) and Constellation (2,475), can only be traded for now.

The rules (MM2 Wiki trading page):

• You must be level 10 or higher. This has been the rule since December 28, 2021, as protection against duping.
• Open a trade from the player list: click a name, then Trade.
• You can trade up to 4 unique items per trade.
• Every time an item is added, both players have to wait 6 seconds before accepting.
• Effects, emotes and radios can't be traded. Weapons, pets and misc items can.

How to trade up to a Godly:

• Collect low items first. Box Legendaries and Rares are worth very little alone, but they add up. That's why "adds" exist.
• Check two value lists. Use MM2 Values and Supreme. If they disagree by a lot, the item is moving. Don't take a Godly at its high price while it's dropping. Embersickle lost about two-thirds of its value in a week.
• Look at demand, not just value. A 20-value Godly with demand 1 is harder to trade than a 15-value item people actually want. MM2 Values shows demand next to every item.
• Go for older, stable Godlies. Box Godlies like Luger, Laser and Lightbringer have been stable for years. Brand-new event Godlies are the ones that crash.
• Never do a trust trade. A "trust trade" means sending your item first and hoping the other player sends theirs. The MM2 trade window exists so both sides confirm at the same time. One commenter in an r/RobloxTrading scam thread put it bluntly: "avoid these trust trades they are as stupid as they sound."

Common mistakes when going for a Godly

• Believing "free Godly" sites. Any site that asks for your Roblox password or a "verification" off roblox.com is trying to steal your account. MM2 has no Godly generator.
• Running scripts or autofarms. Third-party exploit tools break the Roblox Terms of Use and can get your account banned. Your inventory goes with it.
• Waiting for codes. The MM2 codes page is clear: there are no working codes. The last new free code came out with Season 1 in 2019.
• Crafting a Seer for value. It's a nice first Godly. It's also one of the lowest-valued Godlies in the game.
• Buying during launch week. New event Godlies almost always drop. Mortal, Immortal and Embersickle all fell sharply within two weeks.
