Portal is the fruit that wins fights by deciding where they happen. It doesn't top damage charts, and on its own it won't one-shot anyone. What it does better than anything else in Blox Fruits is move you, your crew and your target around the map. You can teleport across the sea, vanish into a pocket dimension, or drag an enemy into a flat arena they can't run out of. That's why sword and gun mains keep it for years, and why permanent Portal still has thousands of open trade requests.
This guide covers everything you need before you spend 1,900,000 Beli or 2,000 Robux on it: every move with its mastery and cooldown, the combos that make Portal work, the change history, whether it's good for grinding or PvP, and what it trades for in October 2026.
Quick answer: Portal is a Legendary Natural-type fruit that costs 1,900,000 Beli or 2,000 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer. It has no awakening. Its five moves unlock at 1, 50, 100, 200 and 300 mastery, and C World Warp (200 mastery) lets you teleport to almost any island in your current sea, bringing allies with you. Portal is a utility and PvP fruit, best for sword and gun mains, not for raw grinding damage. Community trackers put it at about 10M physical and 808M–840M permanent (TradeKitsune and BloxFruitsValueCalculator, pulled Oct 19, 2026), though one tracker lists perm Portal as high as 2.0B.
All move data below is checked against the Blox Fruits Fandom wiki Portal page (pulled Oct 19, 2026). Blox Fruits had 146,633 concurrent players on the Roblox Games API when we checked (universe 994732206, pulled Oct 19, 2026 09:24 UTC, game last updated Oct 11, 2026). Portal's last gameplay change was the C rework in Update 27.0. Update 29 only added a Chromatic skin.

What is the Portal fruit in Blox Fruits?
Portal is a Legendary Natural-type Blox Fruit. It started life as the Door fruit in Update 15, and Update 17.3.5 reworked it, renamed it to Portal and added the V move. Its in-game Shop description reads, verbatim (wiki): "Allows the user to instantly travel to any location, or create a portal to a dimension of their own."
A few facts that set it apart:
- The wiki calls it the "Best mobility fruit in the game (four mobility abilities)." Phoenix is second with three.
- It is the first fruit with a teleport that other players can use. Allies (and enemies) can walk through your World Warp portal.
- It is the first fruit that opens its own GUI, the World Warp location menu.
- It shares its 2,000 Robux price with Phoenix, but the Beli prices differ: Portal is 1,900,000, Phoenix is 1,800,000.
If you're used to fruits that you judge by DPS, Portal will feel strange at first. You judge it by how often it puts you in the right place at the right time.
How much does Portal cost and how do you get it?
| Physical | Permanent | |
|---|---|---|
| How you get it | Fruit spawns, gacha, trades | Dealer (2,000 Robux), gifts, trades |
| Dealer Beli price (equips instantly) | 1,900,000 Beli | — |
| Community trade value (Oct 19, 2026) | ~10M | ~808M–840M (one tracker: 2.0B) |
| Rarity / type | Legendary / Natural | Legendary / Natural |
Buying Portal from the Dealer with Beli (1,900,000) equips the power right away. It replaces your current fruit and does not give you a physical fruit to store or trade. A physical Portal (the storable, tradeable item) comes from spawns, the gacha or trades, and it's consumed when you eat it. Permanent Portal costs 2,000 Robux and stays on your account, so you can swap to another fruit and switch back for free.
Portal is Legendary, not Mythical, and physical Portal trades at only about 10M (see the value section below), so most players who want it just trade for a physical.
What are all the Portal fruit moves?
Portal has six inputs: a tap move plus five skills. Here are the numbers from the wiki:
| Key | Move | Mastery | Cooldown | Energy | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TAP | Portal Leap | — | 3.5s | — | Fast forward backflip that bounces off nearby objects. No damage, no collision |
| Z | Portal Dash | 1 | 7.5s | 15 | Teleport-dash. On hit, throws the enemy through several portals and slams them down. Slight aim-assist |
| X | Parallel Escape | 50 | 18.75s | 50 | Enter a separate dimension for a few seconds: invisible, invincible, immune to water (not lava). Damages and stuns enemies next to you on entry |
| F | Quantum Leap | 100 | 7.5s | 25 | Two linked portals, one at your cursor and one where you stand. They last about 12 seconds and hurt enemies who walk through |
| C | World Warp | 200 | 16.5s | 100 | Opens a location menu for your current sea. Chains you and nearby allies and enemies, then teleports you to the chosen island |
| V | Dimensional Rift | 300 | 12–24s (varies) | 100 | Pulls you and nearby enemies into a flat dimension. The only exit is a portal above the center. Drains your energy while it's open |
A few details the table doesn't show:
- Z only breaks Instinct on the first hit. Update 26.8 removed the Instinct break from the final smash, so Z combos need a follow-up that lands fast.
- X ends the moment you use a skill or M1. You can't attack from inside the dimension. Since Update 24 you can no longer stay in it while using M1s.
- C has a 2-second startup before the teleport fires, and the portal stays open for a while, so pursuers can follow you through.
- V only lasts while you have energy. The rift closes when your energy drains, when you reuse V, when you die, or when you jump out through the top portal.
What does World Warp (C) actually do?
World Warp is the reason permanent Portal is worth so much. The wiki says it outright: "The permanent version of Portal has a lot of value, mostly because of its [C] World Warp move, as it can teleport nearly anywhere."
In practice, C covers four jobs:
- Travel. Teleport to almost any island in your current sea without sailing or flying.
- Boss hopping and hunting. The wiki calls Portal the most reliable fruit for finding the Legendary Sword Dealer, Barista Cousin and Elite Pirates, and for fruit hunting.
- Team play. Allies inside the chains teleport with you, and the portal works both ways until it closes. If a teammate dies during a Sea Event, you can open a portal and bring them back fast.
- Escape. Bounty hunting on you? Warp to a remote island and run for a Safe Zone.
Update 27.0 reworked the C menu: you can now dash, use moves and heal while the location menu is open. Before that, you could only walk and jump once.
One limit to know: World Warp only lists locations in your current sea. It won't move you between seas.
What are the best Portal fruit combos?
Portal isn't a fruit main's combo fruit. Its job is to start combos and keep targets in place, and the wiki's community combo page is almost entirely Portal plus a sword, gun or fighting style. The patterns that show up again and again:
- X → Z opener. Use X Parallel Escape to vanish (it hides you from Instinct), then pop out with Z Portal Dash to grab the target. The wiki lists this X-into-Z start on many of its Portal combos, often marked "optional" for the X.
- Z into a sword hold. After Z lands, follow with Cursed Dual Katana Z (hold) or Shark Anchor Z, then your fighting style (Godhuman or Sanguine Art). Z can grab players even with Instinct on, which makes it one of the more reliable starters.
- V trap finisher. At the end of a combo, use V Dimensional Rift so the target can't run. Treat it as a trap, not a combo extender: enemies forced out of V get about one second of invincibility, so wait out that second before your next hit.
- F loop (PvE). Place both Quantum Leap portals so an NPC or boss walks back and forth through them. Every pass deals damage and a small stun. It's slow, but it adds up.
- C → V hide-and-escape. Warp away with C, hide, then open V to disappear again if someone follows.
The wiki is blunt about the skill floor: these combos "need perfect aiming and fast response." If you're new to Portal, learn X → Z → one sword move before anything longer.

Has Portal been buffed or nerfed?
Mostly nerfed, then stabilized. From the wiki's change history:
- Update 15: released as Door.
- Update 17.3.5: reworked and renamed to Portal, and V Dimensional Rift added.
- Update 18 (nerf): slightly longer TAP cooldown.
- Update 21 (nerf): slightly longer V and X cooldowns.
- Update 24 (nerf): X can no longer be held while using M1s and lasts a bit less. Enemies now get about 60 invincibility frames when forced out of V, which removed the V infinite combo.
- Update 26.8 (nerf + rework): the final hit of Z no longer breaks Instinct. C got new visuals and sounds.
- Update 27.0 (buff): C's menu reworked so you can dash, use moves and heal while it's open.
- Update 29: a Chromatic Portal skin was added. No stat change.
The takeaway: Portal lost its old infinite-trap combos in Update 24. Updates 26.8 and 27.0 only made smaller tweaks, and the wiki lists no gameplay change after 27.0.
Is Portal good? PvP, grinding, raids and Sea Events
PvP and bounty hunting: very good for sword and gun mains. The wiki rates it "Great for PvP" and a "Great counter to Instinct's player detection," because X, C and V all make you vanish from the area. It also notes Portal is "not recommended for fruit mains for PvP": the cooldowns are long, there's little AoE, and only Z does real damage. Our Blox Fruits best fruits tier list puts Portal as the top pick for bounty hunting for exactly that reason. Teleport in, combo with your sword, teleport out.
Grinding: average. F loops are easy for farming NPCs, and V hits NPCs hard, but most of the kit is single-target and close range. The wiki also warns about "high mastery requirements for First Sea and early Second Sea players." For leveling, our best grinding fruits tier list still ranks Buddha first and calls Portal "great utility, average grind."
Raids: fine, not special. Mobility helps you reposition, but there's not enough AoE to carry a raid.
Sea Events: useful utility. You can warp to a Sea Event fast, bring teammates back after they die, and the wiki notes that V can cancel a Terrorshark event if your whole Sea Exploration Group enters the rift. You'll want a sword or gun for the damage. The wiki doesn't recommend Portal for Sea Beast hunting if you're a fruit main.
Travel: the best in the game. The wiki calls World Warp "the best mobility move in the entire game": pick an island from a menu and arrive with your friends.
| Use case | Rating | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Travel / boss hunting | S | World Warp to almost any island in your sea, allies included |
| PvP (sword/gun main) | A | Instinct counter, Z starter, V trap |
| PvP (fruit main) | C | Long cooldowns, low damage outside Z |
| Grinding | B | F loops and V on NPCs, but little AoE |
| Sea Events | B | Fast travel, gets fallen teammates back quickly, V cancels Terrorshark; low damage |
What is Portal worth in trading? (October 2026)
Physical Portal is cheap. Permanent Portal is not. Here's what three trackers showed on Oct 19, 2026:
- TradeKitsune: 10M physical (ranked #54 of 82 items), 807.98M permanent, with 5,849 active trade offers and 4,266 players looking for it.
- BloxFruitsValueCalculator: 10M physical, 840M permanent, about 84 times the physical value.
- Game.Guide: 10.6M physical, 2.0B permanent, labeled "Overpaid".
So the physical number is settled at around 10M, and the permanent number isn't. Most trackers cluster around 800M–840M, with one outlier more than double that. Our October trading tier list gave Portal a demand of 6/10 and warned about the same source disagreement. These are community estimates, not official values. Check at least two trackers before you accept a trade.
When a player in r/bloxfruits asked what to trade a perm Portal for this week, the top reply was the standard advice: run it through a value calculator first "so that no one will low ball you." As BloxFruitsValueCalculator points out, the most common source of Portal trade arguments is version confusion: someone quotes the perm price while holding a physical. Always confirm "perm" or "physical" in the trade window, not in chat.
The in-game Treasure Trade window also blocks offers where the two sides are too far apart in value. Keep offers close, and read our Blox Fruits trading guide for common scams. For the whole market, see the Blox Fruits value list.
Portal vs Control, Dragon and Buddha: which is better?
- Portal vs Control: Both are utility-heavy combo fruits. Control (9,000,000 Beli / 4,000 Robux) has more damage and area denial but a harder mastery curve. Portal is cheaper and better for travel. See our Control fruit guide.
- Portal vs Dragon: Dragon is the raw-power pick for fruit mains. Portal is for players who fight with a sword or gun and want the fruit for mobility. See our Dragon fruit guide.
- Portal vs Buddha: Buddha is the better grinder by a wide margin. Portal is the better PvP and travel fruit. If you own both as perms, you can level with Buddha and switch to Portal for bounty hunting at no extra cost. See our Buddha fruit guide.

FAQ
How much does the Portal fruit cost in Blox Fruits? Portal costs 1,900,000 Beli or 2,000 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer. Buying with Beli equips it immediately and doesn't give you a tradeable fruit. The Robux purchase is the permanent version, which stays on your account. Physical Portal fruits for trading come from spawns, the gacha and trades.
Does Portal have an awakening? No. Portal has no awakening and no transformation. Its full kit is the TAP move plus Z, X, F, C and V, unlocked between 1 and 300 mastery.
What mastery do you need for World Warp? 200 mastery. Z unlocks at 1, X at 50, F at 100, C (World Warp) at 200 and V (Dimensional Rift) at 300.
Can Portal teleport you to another sea? No. World Warp only shows locations in the sea you're currently in. To change seas you still need to travel the normal way.
Is Portal good for grinding? It's average. F portal loops and V do decent damage to NPCs, but most moves are single-target and close range, and the mastery requirements are high for early players. Buddha is the better leveling fruit. Portal is mainly a PvP, bounty hunting and travel fruit.
What is perm Portal worth in October 2026? On Oct 19, 2026, TradeKitsune listed permanent Portal at 807.98M and BloxFruitsValueCalculator at 840M, with physical Portal at about 10M on both. One tracker (Game.Guide) listed it at 2.0B. Values are community estimates and change week to week.
