Delta Force Best Warfare Weapons & Loadouts (Season Reorientation, September 2026)

Warfare rewards guns that hold their damage across long lanes and never run dry mid-push — which is a completely different shortlist from the one you'd bring into an Operations raid. The safest Warfare picks in Season "Reorientation" (September 2026) are the CI-19 and M4A1 assault rifles for all-round fights, the SMG-45 for close-quarters objectives, and the M250 or PKM when your squad needs an LMG to pin a point. Below is the full mode-split breakdown by weapon class, what actually changed this season, and how to unlock the meta guns fast.

This guide covers Warfare (32v32, 64 players) only. Weapon balance is tuned separately per mode in Delta Force, so an Operations loot-run loadout is not a Warfare loadout. It applies to the live build of Season "Reorientation" (the 2nd-anniversary season, running September 8 – November 9, 2026), and the meta below reflects the official season-launch and update notes through September 17.

Quick answer: the Warfare meta at a glance

  • Best all-round AR: CI-19 — the single most-used Warfare assault rifle right now, forgiving recoil, works at every range you'll fight at on Warfare maps.
  • Best value AR: M4A1 / AKM — top-tier jack-of-all-trades guns that are cheap to build and unlock early.
  • Best SMG: SMG-45 — best-in-class handling for capturing objectives and clearing buildings.
  • Best LMG: M250 / PKM — bring one when your role is suppressive fire, not fragging.
  • Best long-range: RM277 (anti-armor AR) and the M82 Barrett sniper for opening up armour and picking off pushes across open lanes.
  • Golden rule: on Warfare's huge maps, prioritise effective range + magazine size over raw close-range DPS.

How Warfare weapon balance differs from Operations

This is the mistake most "best weapons" lists make: they publish one flat tier list. Delta Force doesn't work that way — the same gun performs very differently in each mode because the fights themselves are different. Warfare maps are large, combined-arms battlefields with vehicles and air support, so the meta skews toward rifles that stay accurate at 40–80 metres and mags that survive a prolonged firefight. Close-range monsters that dominate an extraction raid fall off hard when the average engagement is across a canal or an open sector.

What actually changed for weapons this season is smaller than the rumour mill suggests. The Season "Reorientation" launch added two new guns — the MDR assault rifle and the Thompson SMG — earned by completing in-match Kill Missions. The September 10 update was mostly Warfare map balance (The Mog objective and deployment reworks, a Surge Squad AI nerf) plus a fix so the Warfare Armory correctly displays the new-season weapons. The September 17 update fixed a bug where some Operators couldn't use the K416 in Warfare — so if you tried to run one earlier in the season and it wasn't available, it works now. There was no across-the-board weapon stat overhaul: your existing rifle and LMG builds carry over.

Best Warfare Assault Rifles

Assault rifles are the backbone of Warfare and the class with the clearest current data (pick-rate popularity plus the official balance notes). Ranked for Warfare:

WeaponRoleWhy it's strong in Warfare
CI-19All-rounder (meta)Highest Warfare pick rate by a wide margin; controllable recoil, effective at short-to-mid range where most Warfare fights happen.
M4A1Jack-of-all-tradesConsistently top-tier, unlocks early, cheap to build — the safest "just give me a gun that works" pick.
AKMHigh burst / damageHits harder per shot; reward for controlling its recoil is a fast time-to-kill.
K416Sustained fireBest-value option for holding a lane and outputting damage over a long engagement.
RM277Long-range / anti-armour6.8×51mm platform, ~550 RPM, very low horizontal recoil — built for open Warfare lanes and shredding armour.
MDRNew this season, mid-range flexAdded at the Reorientation launch; promising but too new for a settled ranking — try it, don't commit your whole build to it yet.

Also worth building for range: SG552 and CAR-15. If you want one gun to main all season, the CI-19 is the answer; if you want one that's already unlocked and never lets you down, it's the M4A1.

Sample CI-19 Warfare build direction: the gun is already controllable, so spend your attachment slots on range and accuracy — a range/velocity barrel, a recoil-smoothing muzzle, a standard-to-extended magazine, and a low-magnification optic for mid-range lanes. RM277 wants the same shape pushed further toward range, with an extended mag mandatory for open-terrain firefights.

Best Warfare SMGs

SMGs are your objective-capping and building-clearing tools. On most Warfare maps you'll only main one if your squad role is the aggressive pusher.

  • SMG-45 — the standout. Best handling in class and usable at surprising range for an SMG; top of every credible list.
  • SR-3M — the longest effective range of the SMGs with low recoil; the pick if you want an SMG that doesn't fully collapse past 25 metres.
  • MP7 / MP5 / P90 — reliable close-range options; the P90's intrinsic 50-round magazine is a real advantage for sustained CQB.
  • Thompson — brand new this season (.45 ACP); an aggressive close-range pusher. Fun, but it's too new for a firm ranking, so treat it as a fun pick rather than a meta staple for now.

Build SMGs to preserve mobility and hip-fire, and take an extended magazine — Warfare pushes are long, and reloading in the open gets you killed.

Best Warfare LMGs

Light machine guns are the most misunderstood class in Warfare. As one r/DeltaForceGlobal player put it, most people "use them as ARs with 30 mags" instead of as actual LMGs — and that's the wrong way to think about the role.

The recognised Warfare LMGs are the M250, PKM, and QJB201 (note the spelling — it's QJB201, not "QJB"), with the M249 available through Warfare Gear-Ticket pools this season. An LMG's job on a Warfare map is suppressive fire: one player goes loud with a big-mag PKM to pin the enemy in cover while squadmates flank and secure kills. That is when a 100+ round belt earns its slot. If you're going to run it like a rifle with a 30-round mag, you're better off with an actual AR.

September balance note: despite the usual community panic, there is no M250 nerf and no flamethrower nerf in any September 2026 patch — the weapon stat tables were left alone this cycle. (The M250 shows up in the notes only as a cosmetic "Crimson Blend" appearance draw, not a balance change.) Your LMG build is exactly as strong as it was at season launch.

Best Warfare Snipers, Marksman Rifles & Shotguns

  • Snipers: the AWM, M82 (Barrett), R93, and SV-98 are the recognised long-range options. The M82 is the anti-materiel pick for cracking armour and vehicles across open Warfare sectors, while the AWM and R93 are the cleaner one-shot bolt-actions for infantry duels.
  • Marksman rifles: the SVCH (7.62×54mmR, convertible between semi and full-auto, ~600–700 RPM in full-auto) and the SR-25 cover the DMR role for players who want more rate of fire than a bolt-action.
  • Shotguns: the S12K is the go-to Warfare close-range shotgun for holding tight interior objectives.

These are lower-confidence rankings than the AR class — no single trusted source has published a full post-launch tier list ranking every class — so treat them as directional and let your own map and playstyle decide.

How to unlock Warfare weapons fast

Delta Force in-game weapon-handling view, aiming a scoped rifle in a firing-range environment

Most Delta Force weapons unlock through Operation Level progression (roughly Levels 3–43), with some available immediately and others tied to weapon skins from the Battle Pass, Market, or events.

The single most useful mechanic to know: extracting with a weapon in Operations immediately unlocks it for use in Warfare, too. So the fastest route to a full Warfare arsenal is to loot and successfully extract the guns you want in Operations — one good raid can hand you a Warfare unlock you'd otherwise grind levels for. Individual attachments unlock as you level each gun through use (weapon mastery), so main one rifle early to get its full build online before spreading out.

Because Warfare weapons are earned through play (and Delta Force runs the most aggressive anti-cheat and anti-RMT enforcement of any current shooter — ACE with Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 required, plus weekly public ban bulletins), the only safe way to your loadout is to level it yourself. For a deeper look at the ammo side of your loadout, see our companion Delta Force ammo and armour penetration guide, and for the operator half of the meta, the current Delta Force operators tier list and the September 17 operator balance changes.

FAQ

What is the best weapon in Delta Force Warfare right now? The CI-19 assault rifle is the strongest all-round Warfare weapon in Season "Reorientation" (September 2026) — it has the highest pick rate, forgiving recoil, and stays effective across the short-to-mid ranges most Warfare fights happen at. If you want a gun that's already unlocked and always reliable, the M4A1 is the safe alternative.

Is the Warfare meta different from the Operations meta? Yes. The same gun performs very differently in each mode because the fights are different — Warfare's large maps reward effective range and magazine size, while extraction favours close-quarters DPS. Don't reuse your extraction loadout in Warfare; the guns that dominate a raid often fall off across the big Warfare sectors.

Did the flamethrower get nerfed in Warfare? No. There was no flamethrower balance change in any September 2026 patch. The only recorded flamethrower adjustment is a damage and penetration buff from 2025. The rumour of a recent nerf is not supported by the official notes.

Was there a weapon balance patch on September 17? No — the September 17 update was an operator balance patch (it nerfed Nox and buffed Rover and Clover). The only weapon-related item that day was a bug fix so all Operators can use the K416 in Warfare again; no weapon stat tables were changed. The season's real weapon additions came at launch — the new MDR rifle and Thompson SMG.

What is the best LMG for Warfare? The M250 and PKM are the top LMGs, with the QJB201 and (via Gear Tickets) the M249 as alternatives. But an LMG is a suppressive-fire tool, not a fragging rifle — run a big magazine to pin the enemy while your squad flanks. If you plan to use a 30-round mag and play it like a rifle, take an actual assault rifle instead.

How do I unlock Warfare weapons quickly? Level up through Operations (weapons unlock around Levels 3–43), and use the cross-mode mechanic: extracting with a weapon in Operations instantly unlocks it in Warfare. Attachments unlock as you use and level each individual gun, so focus one rifle first.
