That 25 September date applies to the Standard Edition and to anyone who buys after launch, on every platform. The confusion comes from PC storefronts, where the game unlocks at 23:00 UTC on 24 September. That is not a separate release date — it is midnight on 25 September in Central European Time and one hour before midnight in the UK, so for the vast majority of players the game becomes playable on the 25th. If you see a site listing "24 September" as the FC 27 release date with no timezone attached, it is wrong by omission.
FC 27 was announced on 23 July 2026 and is published by Electronic Arts. In prose, plenty of players still search for it as FIFA 27 — same game, different (and now retired) brand.

What Do You Get With FC 27 Early Access?
Early access on 18 September is not a demo or a limited trial. EA's wording is "Get full access to EA SPORTS FC™ 27 beginning 18 September 2026" — the whole game, with progress that carries into launch. That is up to seven extra days of Ultimate Team, which in a launch window is the difference between arriving to a stocked Transfer Market and arriving to one that has already been picked clean.
Early access requires the Ultimate Edition or the Ultimate Plus Edition. The Standard Edition does not include it at any price.
The cheaper route in is EA Play, whose 10-hour trial also opens on 18 September. Ten hours is enough to build a starter club, clear the opening objectives and get your first packs opened before launch day, and the progress carries over when you buy. It is not seven days, but it is the only sub-$70 way to be early.

Three timing rules matter more than the contents:
- Ultimate Plus is early-bird only. EA states it is "only be available during the early bird pre-order window from 23 July 2026 - 31 August 2026." After 31 August it is gone, and EA has confirmed you cannot upgrade from Ultimate to Ultimate Plus later.
- Ultimate loses content after 31 August. Pre-order Ultimate during the early-bird window and you get the full package including the 85+ OVR International ICON item. Pre-order between 31 August and 24 September and you get a reduced package.
- FC Points have a claim deadline. Ultimate Plus buyers must complete the first FC Points distribution by 1 June 2027 to receive all 10,000; Ultimate buyers by 1 August 2027 for all 6,000. Redeem after 26 September 2027 and you get none.
Ultimate Plus is also not sold on Nintendo platforms or the Epic Games Store — Ultimate and Standard are available across EA App, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, Switch 2, Steam and Epic.
When Is the FC 27 Web App Out?
This is the question with the most bad information attached to it, so here is the honest answer: EA has not announced the FC 27 Web App or Companion App dates.
Based on every previous release, the Web App normally opens a day or two before early access and the Companion App follows about a day later — which points at roughly 16 September for the Web App and 17 September for the Companion App. Useful for planning, but they are estimates, not EA dates. Do not book time off around them.

To use the Web App at all you need an EA Account with an active FC 27 Ultimate Team club and a security question set up. Sort that before mid-September, not on the day.

- Check your EA Account security question and email access now, because the Web App will ask for both when it opens.
- Finish your FC 26 season objectives. Carryover rewards from FC 26 land in FC 27 from early October, and they are only claimable if you log into FC 27 with the same EA Account.
