There are five different "FC 27 release dates" floating around right now, and picking the wrong one costs you real money — a missed early-access window, a pre-order tier that expires, or an FC Points drop you never claim. EA SPORTS FC 27 launches globally on 25 September 2026, but the game is playable a full week earlier for some editions, and the Ultimate Team head start begins before that.

When Does FC 27 Actually Release?
EA's editions article is unambiguous on the headline date: "EA SPORTS FC™ 27 launches globally on 25 September 2026, with three editions based on how you want to play." (ea.com, 23 July 2026)
That 25 September date applies to the Standard Edition and to anyone who buys after launch, on every platform. The confusion comes from PC storefronts, where the game unlocks at 23:00 UTC on 24 September. That is not a separate release date — it is midnight on 25 September in Central European Time and one hour before midnight in the UK, so for the vast majority of players the game becomes playable on the 25th. If you see a site listing "24 September" as the FC 27 release date with no timezone attached, it is wrong by omission.
FC 27 was announced on 23 July 2026 and is published by Electronic Arts. In prose, plenty of players still search for it as FIFA 27 — same game, different (and now retired) brand.

What Do You Get With FC 27 Early Access?
Early access on 18 September is not a demo or a limited trial. EA's wording is "Get full access to EA SPORTS FC™ 27 beginning 18 September 2026" — the whole game, with progress that carries into launch. That is up to seven extra days of Ultimate Team, which in a launch window is the difference between arriving to a stocked Transfer Market and arriving to one that has already been picked clean. Early access requires the Ultimate Edition or the Ultimate Plus Edition. The Standard Edition does not include it at any price.
The cheaper route in is EA Play, whose 10-hour trial also opens on 18 September. Ten hours is enough to build a starter club, clear the opening objectives and get your first packs opened before launch day, and the progress carries over when you buy. It is not seven days, but it is the only sub-$70 way to be early.

Three timing rules matter more than the contents:
- Ultimate Plus is early-bird only. EA states it is "only be available during the early bird pre-order window from 23 July 2026 - 31 August 2026." After 31 August it is gone, and EA has confirmed you cannot upgrade from Ultimate to Ultimate Plus later.
- Ultimate loses content after 31 August. Pre-order Ultimate during the early-bird window and you get the full package including the 85+ OVR International ICON item. Pre-order between 31 August and 24 September and you get a reduced package.
- FC Points have a claim deadline. Ultimate Plus buyers must complete the first FC Points distribution by 1 June 2027 to receive all 10,000; Ultimate buyers by 1 August 2027 for all 6,000. Redeem after 26 September 2027 and you get none.
Ultimate Plus is also not sold on Nintendo platforms or the Epic Games Store — Ultimate and Standard are available across EA App, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, Switch 2, Steam and Epic.
When Is the FC 27 Web App Out?
This is the question with the most bad information attached to it, so here is the honest answer: EA has not announced the FC 27 Web App or Companion App dates.
Based on every previous release, the Web App normally opens a day or two before early access and the Companion App follows about a day later — which points at roughly 16 September for the Web App and 17 September for the Companion App. Useful for planning, but they are estimates, not EA dates. Do not book time off around them.
What we do know is what the Web App is for: a browser-based front end to your Ultimate Team club that lets you claim your starting pack, list players on the Transfer Market and trade before you can even boot the game. To use the Web App at all you need an EA Account with an active FC 27 Ultimate Team club and a security question set up. Sort that before mid-September, not on the day.
What can you do in the FC 27 Web App?
Almost everything except play matches. The Web App and Companion App give you full access to Ultimate Team management through a browser or your phone:
- Open your starter pack and launch rewards — this is the main reason to log in on day one, and packs are limited-time.
- Build and manage your squad — set formations, custom tactics, and chemistry links without booting the game.
- Trade on the Transfer Market — bid on players, use Buy Now, list your own cards. The Transfer Market is where launch-window profits live; early access players who open packs and list duplicates before launch day capture the biggest premiums.
- Complete Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) — submit squads for player rewards without being in-game. Completing SBCs in the Web App is often faster than doing it on console because the interface is quicker.
- Claim weekly objectives and milestone rewards available through the browser UI.
- Manage club consumables and fitness — apply fitness and contract cards to players.
- Qualify for Weekend League — trade in qualification points directly from the starting screen.
One quirk to know: the Web App will not load if you are simultaneously logged into Ultimate Team on your console or PC. You must exit UT and return to the FC 27 main menu before opening the browser version — otherwise you get a session conflict error. FC 27 web app not working
Who can access the FC 27 Web App?
EA has confirmed three requirements for Web App access:
- You must have created an Ultimate Team club in EA FC 26 before 1 August 2026. A brand-new EA account that has never had an active FUT club cannot access the Web App — this is EA's anti-botting gate. If you skipped FC 26, you will need to wait for the full game launch on 25 September to create a club.
- Your EA account must still exist on the Web App release date.
- Your account must be in good standing — no active bans or violations.
EA Play members get the 10-hour trial from 18 September, which is the same day as early access — but EA Play does not unlock the Web App early. The Web App opens for anyone who meets the three conditions above on 16 September, regardless of subscription tier.

What About Platforms, The Grounds and Upgrades?
FC 27 ships on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC (EA App, Steam, Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Two platform details worth knowing before you buy:
- The Grounds, FC 27's social hub, is current-gen only. EA's disclaimer reads: "The Grounds mode, including Clubs, only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 versions." If you are on PS4 or Xbox One, any pre-order content tied to The Grounds is unusable until you upgrade.
- Dual entitlement is free. EA confirms you can upgrade your copy from PS4 to PS5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S, at no additional cost.
What Should You Do Before Launch Day?
A short pre-launch checklist that costs nothing:
- Decide on your edition before 31 August — that is the hard deadline on Ultimate Plus and on the full Ultimate package.
- Check your EA Account security question and email access now, because the Web App will ask for both when it opens.
- Finish your FC 26 season objectives and save your FC 26 coins for FC 27 — carryover rewards from FC 26 land in FC 27 from early October, and they are only claimable if you log into FC 27 with the same EA Account.
- Plan your first 48 hours. Launch-window prices are volatile and the biggest coin swings happen in the first two days of early access.
