FC 27 Reset Times: When Rivals Rewards Actually Drop (and the Clock Change That Moves Them)

FC 27 has been fully live since 25 September 2026, and the first proper weekly cycle of Season 1 is running right now. Which means the single most-searched practical question in Ultimate Team is back: when exactly do my rewards land?

Almost every guide answering that question right now is copying an EA SPORTS FC 26 answer. Some of it still holds. A meaningful chunk of it does not — and the most widely repeated conversion puts the deadline on the wrong calendar day for players on the US West Coast.

This is the FC 27 reset calendar built from EA's own published documentation, with every time anchored to UTC, converted properly, and flagged where EA has published nothing at all.

TLDR — the quick answer

  • Division Rivals weekly rewards: Thursdays at 06:59 AM UTC. That is EA's own wording on its live help page, and it is the only hard weekly deadline in FC 27 that EA actually publishes a time for.
  • 06:59 UTC is Wednesday night in the Americas. It lands at 23:59 PT on Wednesday, not "12am Thursday" as several guides state. Set your reminder for the right day.
  • FUT Champions has no weekly window in EA's FC 27 documentation. Play-Offs run "any time at your own pace", and the entry budget resets per Season, not per week.
  • Squad Battles has no EA-published reset time. EA only commits to "shortly after the weekly competition ends." The Sunday ~06:59 UTC figure you see everywhere is community-tracked.
  • Your local reset time changes twice this autumn. European clocks go back 25 October 2026, US clocks 1 November 2026. The UTC anchor never moves, so your local time does.
  • Season 1 ends Thursday 22 October 2026 — deliberately on the same weekday as the weekly reset.

What time do FC 27 Rivals rewards actually drop?

EA publishes exactly one reward time across the whole of Ultimate Team, and it is on the Division Rivals help article. The wording is unambiguous:

"Rewards are released on Thursdays at 06:59 AM UTC."

— EA Help, How EA SPORTS FC™ Ultimate Team™ Rivals work

That single line is the anchor for your entire FUT week. EA also confirms on the same page that you claim them yourself rather than receiving them passively: "Once the weekly competition ends, you can claim your Weekly Rewards in-game or on the Ultimate Team™ Web and the Companion Apps."

Two details matter. 06:59 is not a rounding of 07:00 — it is one minute before the hour, which is why the window closes on the previous day's clock in some regions. And it is a UTC time: UTC does not observe daylight saving, so your local time moves and EA's does not.

Here is the conversion for right now (late September through late October 2026, while Europe is on summer time and the US is on daylight time):

RegionLocal time of the FC 27 Rivals reset
UTCThursday 06:59
UK (BST)Thursday 07:59
Central Europe (CEST)Thursday 08:59
Moscow (UTC+3, no DST)Thursday 09:59
India (IST)Thursday 12:29
Sydney (AEST until 4 Oct)Thursday 16:59
US Eastern (EDT)Thursday 02:59
US Central (CDT)Thursday 01:59
US Mountain (MDT)Thursday 00:59
US Pacific (PDT)Wednesday 23:59

That last row is the one to internalise. If you are in California, your FC 27 Rivals week ends on Wednesday night, one minute before midnight. GameRant and several other launch-week guides print "12am PT every Thursday" — that is only sixty seconds off in real time, but it lands on the wrong calendar day, which is precisely how a Wednesday-night deadline becomes a Thursday-evening reminder and you lose the last two wins you were planning to squeeze in.

If you are still working out which tier those wins are worth, our FC 27 Division Rivals rewards and CQP guide has the full tier table.

Why does every guide say "8am UK" — and when does that break?

Because for the next few weeks, it is approximately right. The UK is on British Summer Time (UTC+1) until the end of October, so 06:59 UTC displays as 07:59 in London — near enough to "8am" that it became the standard shorthand across FC 24, FC 25 and FC 26.

It breaks on a specific date. British Summer Time ends on Sunday 25 October 2026, when UK clocks go back one hour. Central European Summer Time ends the same morning. US daylight time does not end until Sunday 1 November 2026.

So the reset time on your own clock changes like this:

RegionUntil 25 Oct 2026From 25 Oct 2026From 1 Nov 2026
UKThu 07:59Thu 06:59Thu 06:59
Central EuropeThu 08:59Thu 07:59Thu 07:59
US EasternThu 02:59Thu 02:59Thu 01:59
US PacificWed 23:59Wed 23:59Wed 22:59

There is also a one-week oddity worth knowing about: between 25 October and 1 November 2026, Europe has moved back but the US has not, so the usual five-hour London-to-New-York gap is temporarily four hours. If you co-op with someone across the Atlantic, that is the week your shared reset reminder silently drifts.

None of this changes EA's deadline. It changes when your phone should be buzzing.

Does FUT Champions still reset every weekend in FC 27?

This is the biggest change, and it is where most FC 27 coverage is still running FC 26 information.

EA's live Ultimate Team Champions documentation — the page EA currently serves for FC 27 — describes Play-Offs as an on-demand competition, not a weekend window:

"Play-Offs is the first stage of Ultimate Team™ Champions. You can compete in Play-Offs any time at your own pace. There's a limited number of Play-Off entries per Season that resets at the start of each Season."

— EA Help, How EA SPORTS FC™ Ultimate Team™ Champions work

Read that carefully. The entry budget resets at the start of each Season — not every Thursday, and not every Friday. Season 1 runs 17 September to 22 October 2026, so your Play-Off entries for this Season are a five-week allowance, not a weekly one.

The other structural points EA does publish:

  • You enter Play-Offs automatically once you hit the required Champions Qualification Points (CQP) total, earned in Rivals at a rate that scales with your Division.
  • You can end a Play-Offs run early to bank the rewards you have already earned. You cannot do that in Finals — EA: "Unlike the Play-Offs, you can't end a Finals event early."
  • Rewards arrive as soon as you complete the available matches, or when the event expires, whichever comes first.
  • An unused Finals Qualification Token carries over to the next Season, so there is no reason to burn one when you are not ready.
  • Unfinished Play-Off matches are settled at the Season boundary, not refunded. EA: "If you don't finish all your Play-Off matches before an Ultimate Team™ Season ends, you'll automatically get whatever rewards you've earned from completed matches. You don't get any progression towards rewards for skipped matches."

Two claims still circulating need correcting. Several launch-week guides state that Champions requires reaching Division 6 and exactly 1,000 CQP — that is the FC 26 gate, and EA's current documentation contains neither figure; we covered the removal in FC 27 FUT Champions qualification: Division 6 is gone. And the familiar "Champs opens Friday, closes Monday, 15 matches" schedule is not in EA's FC 27 help pages — treat any specific Friday open time as community-tracked, because that is what it is. For the format EA has confirmed, see our FC 27 FUT Champions Season 1 format and rewards breakdown.

The practical upshot: in FC 27, Champions is a Season-long budget you spend when you choose. The Thursday clock does not touch it.

When do Squad Battles rewards reset in FC 27?

Here EA publishes a weekly cadence but deliberately no time. The Squad Battles help article — refreshed on 24 September 2026, making it the freshest of the three — says only:

"You'll get your rewards shortly after the weekly competition ends."

— EA Help, How Squad Battles work in EA SPORTS FC™ Ultimate Team™

Community trackers put the Squad Battles competition end at Sunday, the same 06:59 UTC minute as the Thursday Rivals drop (widely published as 08:00 UK time during summer time). That figure is consistent across FC 25 and FC 26 and has held so far in FC 27 — but it is tracker-sourced, not EA-sourced, so treat it as reliable-but-unofficial and give yourself a buffer.

Three FC 27-specific mechanics from that same article change how you should plan the week:

  • Extra matches are worthless to your score. EA: "You can keep playing afterward, but additional matches don't count toward your weekly score."
  • Skipping via refresh is permanent. If you refresh before playing all four available matches, the unplayed ones still count against your weekly allocation and cannot be recovered.
  • Your rank moves while you sleep. The leaderboard updates roughly every five minutes and other players keep scoring, so a borderline rank on Saturday night is not a rank you have secured.

The simplest fix is to stop trusting guides — including this one — and read the game. EA's own help-article screenshot of the Squad Battles Your Rank panel shows the three numbers that settle every argument: a Matches Played counter capped at 16 for the week, a Weekly Points total, and a live "Ends:" countdown. That countdown renders in your console's local time, so it is immune to every timezone and clock-change mistake in this article.

Full tier detail is in our FC 27 Squad Battles rewards tier table.

When do Daily and Weekly Objectives refresh?

FC 27 Ultimate Team main menu showing Foundation Objectives, Foundation SBCs and the Season 1 Ones To Watch banner

Objectives follow the same Thursday rhythm as Rivals — the weekly set turns over alongside the 06:59 UTC reset, and dailies roll on the UTC day boundary. EA has not published a dedicated Objectives reset time for FC 27, so this is behaviour observed in-game rather than a documented commitment.

One launch-window wrinkle caught people out this week: the first weekly Objectives set did not refresh after seven days. Players on r/EASportsFC comparing notes concluded it had been stretched to cover two weeks, spanning early access and the 25 September worldwide release, with the normal cadence only resuming now. If your weeklies looked stale on Thursday 24 September, that is why — nothing was broken.

For what is actually worth completing in the current set, see our FC 27 Season 1 Objectives list.

What resets per Season instead of per week?

A surprising amount, and this is the mental model shift FC 27 asks for. EA's Launch Rewards Pitch Notes published the full calendar:

"Season 1: Ones To Watch will be live from 17 September 2026 until 22 October 2026."

— EA SPORTS FC 27 Launch Rewards Pitch Notes, 17 September 2026

The published Season schedule runs: Season 1 17 Sep – 22 Oct 2026 · Season 2 22 Oct – 3 Dec 2026 · Season 3 3 Dec 2026 – 14 Jan 2027 · Season 4 14 Jan – 25 Feb 2027 · Season 5 25 Feb – 8 Apr 2027.

Note that 22 October 2026 is itself a Thursday. The Season rollover is aligned to the weekly reset weekday, so the final Rivals reward drop of Season 1 and the Season 2 changeover land together.

What moves on that Season boundary rather than weekly:

  • Champions Play-Off entries — the whole allowance refills.
  • Your Rivals Division. EA: "When a new Ultimate Team™ Season starts, all competitors will be dropped from the Division that you previously finished in." That is a partial drop, not a wipe back to Division 10.
  • Elite Division standing. Once you reach Elite you stay there until the Season ends, starting from a default Skill Rating of 500.
  • The Season Pass ladder, all 30 levels of it.

Worth putting in the same calendar: the FC 26 carryover waves are not weekly either. EA has them landing on 2, 9, 16 and 23 October 2026 — all Fridays. Details in our FC 27 carryover rewards guide.

Your FC 27 reset calendar, ranked by what it costs you to miss

Not all deadlines are equal. In order of what you actually lose:

  • Thursday 06:59 UTC — Rivals weekly rewards. The biggest guaranteed pack and coin drop of your week, and the only one with a hard published cut-off. Miss the tier by one win and you lose the whole upgrade. Highest priority, every week.
  • 22 October 2026 — Season 1 ends. Unspent Champions Play-Off entries and unclaimed Season Pass levels do not follow you. This is a five-week deadline that feels distant until it is four days away.
  • Sunday (community-tracked ~06:59 UTC) — Squad Battles. Lower ceiling than Rivals, but it is the easiest points in FUT because the opponents are AI and you choose the difficulty.
  • Thursday — weekly Objectives turnover. Usually small, occasionally a player item.
  • Daily Objectives — UTC day boundary. Minor individually; meaningful compounded across a five-week Season.

The honest summary of launch-week FC 27: there is exactly one unforgiving weekly clock, and it is Thursday 06:59 UTC. Everything else is either a Season-long budget you control or a soft cadence EA has not committed to in writing.

Short on hours before Thursday's cut-off? Rivals rank and Champions qualification are pure match volume, and launch week is when the tier gaps are widest. timesaver.gg runs these on real accounts with real players — no bots, no injectors, paced delivery.

A word on risk, because it matters more than any reset time: EA's User Agreement still prohibits buying, selling or transferring coins for real money, and enforcement ranges from coin removal to a transfer-market ban. Anyone promising "zero ban risk" is lying to you. Paced delivery and human players reduce exposure; they do not eliminate it.

FAQ

What time do FC 27 Rivals rewards come out? Thursdays at 06:59 AM UTC. That is EA's own published time on its live Division Rivals help article. In UK time that is 07:59 until 25 October 2026 and 06:59 after it, and in US Pacific time it is 23:59 on Wednesday — the previous calendar day.

Does FUT Champions reset every week in FC 27? No. EA's live Ultimate Team Champions documentation says Play-Offs can be played "any time at your own pace" and that the limited number of Play-Off entries "resets at the start of each Season". Season 1 runs 17 September to 22 October 2026, so that allowance is a five-week budget, not a weekly one. The old Friday-to-Monday Weekend League window is not in EA's current help pages.

What time do Squad Battles rewards drop in FC 27? EA does not publish a time — it commits only to "shortly after the weekly competition ends." Community trackers consistently place the Sunday end at 06:59 UTC, matching the Thursday Rivals minute. Treat it as reliable but unofficial.

Why did my FC 27 weekly objectives not refresh after seven days? Because the first Season 1 weekly set appears to have been stretched across two weeks to cover both the early access window and the 25 September worldwide launch. Players comparing notes on r/EASportsFC reached the same conclusion. The normal weekly cadence resumes from this week.

Does the reset time change when the clocks go back? The UTC time never changes — 06:59 UTC stays 06:59 UTC all year. Your local display shifts: UK and European clocks go back on 25 October 2026, US clocks on 1 November 2026. For one week in between, the usual Europe-to-US time gap is an hour smaller than normal.

When does FC 27 Season 1 end? Thursday 22 October 2026, per EA's Launch Rewards Pitch Notes. Season 2 begins the same day and runs to 3 December 2026.

Times verified 26 September 2026 against EA's live help articles for Ultimate Team Rivals, Ultimate Team Champions and Squad Battles, and the EA SPORTS FC 27 Launch Rewards Pitch Notes (17 September 2026). Where EA has published no time, we have said so and labelled the community figure.
