The Final Spritemare is Fortnite's last event of Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override". It runs for five days, from Tuesday 27 October to Saturday 31 October 2026. Every day doubles your Sprite XP and Sprite Dust, hands out a free Lucky Locator for logging in, and boosts one Sprite type plus one exotic weapon. Epic posted the full schedule on 26 October. This guide covers each day, the start time in your timezone, how to use the five Lucky Locators, and what happens to your Sprites when the Treasure Hunters mini-season starts on 1 November.

Quick answer: The Fortnite Final Spritemare runs 27–31 October 2026. Each day starts at 9 AM ET (13:00 UTC). Every day: 2x Sprite XP, 2x Sprite Dust, a Lucky Locator from a daily login quest, and 1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors in chests. Daily boosts: Tue Gold + Cheat Master Sprites and the Overclocked 8-Bit Shotgun · Wed Loot Hacker Sprites and the Overpowered Shotgun · Thu Bounty Hunter Sprites and the Balloon Popper Assault Rifle · Fri Trick or Treat Sprites, Frantic Rebecca's Guns and free Calaverita sprays plus an emoticon · Sat finale with guaranteed Hunter Scavenger, Spooky Sprinter and Prop Hunt Overrides, the Marker Bonerattler SMG and extra Pumpkin Chests. The season ends 1 November 2026 (ET).

What is the Final Spritemare in Fortnite?

The Final Spritemare is the closing week of the weekly event calendar that has run all season (the Fortnite Wiki files it as week 10 of "Override Weeks"). It's a five-day send-off for Sprites before Chapter 7 Season 4 ends. Epic announced it on 26 October on its Fortnite Communities hub and through its official account on the Fortnite subreddit:

"The Season's going out with a five-day send-off! The Final Spritemare kicks off this Tuesday, October 27 and runs through Saturday, October 31. Look forward to exotic loot pool shake-ups, Lucky Locators, rotating Sprite variant boosts, and double Sprite XP and Sprite Dust to master your collection - all day, every day!" — Epic Games, r/FortniteBR announcement (26 October 2026)

It works like the Sprite Spree Week Epic ran at the end of Chapter 7 Season 3 in August. That one also boosted one Sprite type per day and gave a daily Lucky Locator before the season reset. The difference this time is that each day also adds an exotic weapon to the loot pool, and the Fortnitemares Halloween event is still live in the background.

The size of the job is real. After update v42.40 (15 October), Override has 27 base Sprites across 162 released entries, variants included, according to counts from Polygon and IGN's Sprites checklist_-_All_Variants_and_Mastery_Rewards_List). IGN also reported no unreleased Sprites left in the game files. So this week is about finishing the roster that already exists. Our Fortnite Sprite events schedule covers every Power Hour and Mastery Monday that led up to it.

What time does the Final Spritemare start each day?

Each day's boost starts at 9 AM Eastern Time and runs until 9 AM ET the next day. The US stays on daylight time until 1 November, so that's 13:00 UTC.

RegionDaily start time
US West (PT)6:00 AM
US East (ET)9:00 AM
UTC13:00
UK (GMT)1:00 PM
Central Europe (CET)2:00 PM
Moscow (MSK)4:00 PM
Sydney (AEDT)12:00 AM (midnight, the next calendar day)

The UK and Europe moved their clocks back on 25 October, so the start is one hour earlier for you than it was before that.

What is the Final Spritemare schedule day by day?

This is Epic's own schedule from the announcement, which matches the official art. Everything in the "Every day" row applies on all five days.

Three corrections to coverage you might see elsewhere:

  • The exotic weapons are in the loot pool. You don't spawn with them. Epic says each one is "hacked into", "uploaded into" or "glitched into" the loot pool. Some guides say everyone starts the match with the day's exotic, but that isn't what Epic's post says. Expect to loot them.
  • The weapon names. Leaked schedules called Tuesday's weapon the "8-Bit Blaster" and Wednesday's an "Exotic Pump Shotgun". Epic's names are the Overclocked 8-Bit Shotgun and the Overpowered Shotgun.
  • Thursday is Bounty Hunter and Friday is Trick or Treat. At least one wiki table had those two days swapped when we checked on 26 October. Epic's post and the official art both put Bounty Hunter on Thursday.

Is there double XP during the Final Spritemare?

Yes for Sprite XP, no for your Battle Pass level. An early leaked schedule listed no XP boost, and some sites repeated that. Epic's announcement does include 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust every day, starting at 9 AM ET. That boost levels up the Sprites you have equipped. It does not double the account XP that moves your Battle Pass.

That makes the week the best time this season to master Sprites. Mastering a Sprite means getting it to Level 5 and then extracting it once more in a match. Here is the standard-match Sprite XP table GameRant reported for Override, with this week's doubling applied. Treat these as community-reported values. Epic tweaks them between patches.

ActionNormal Sprite XPFinal Spritemare (2x)
Eliminate a player300600
Down a player100200
Extract a Sprite100200
Activate a Cheat Code85170
Open a container75150
Assist75150

Bot lobbies pay much less: 50 Sprite XP for an elimination instead of 300, and roughly a quarter of the normal value for downs, extractions, containers and Cheat Codes. Real matches are the better use of this week. Since the 4 September change, extracting a duplicate Sprite also adds its Sprite XP to the copy already in your collection. You no longer need to level one Sprite to 5 inside a single match. Our guide on how to level up and master Sprites fast covers the full route.

Two Sprites ignore the normal XP system. The Crown Sprite only levels when you win with it equipped, and a single Victory Royale masters it after Epic's nerf. The Klombo Sprite only levels when you use healing items while it's equipped. Klombos and One Wish Willows came up in the announcement thread as the Sprites players were still missing, so plan those separately.

Fortnite Mastery Monday promo art with the Honey Sprite and the double Sprite XP and double Sprite Dust icons

Monday 26 October is the season's last Mastery Monday (9 AM ET Monday to 9 AM ET Tuesday). It already gives 2x Sprite XP, 2x Sprite Dust, more Legendary and Mythic Sprites and extra Portable Extractors. It ends at the moment the Final Spritemare begins, so the double Sprite XP effectively runs from Monday morning through Saturday.

How do you get a free Lucky Locator in the Final Spritemare?

Complete the daily login quest on each of the five days. Epic's post says: "Complete the daily login Quest to earn a Lucky Locator." That's up to five Lucky Locators if you play every day from Tuesday to Saturday.

There's a catch. Epic ties each Locator to that day's login quest and doesn't say missed days carry over, so assume that if you skip Wednesday, Wednesday's Locator is gone. You only need to log in and finish the quest, so a short session each day is enough.

How a Lucky Locator works:

  • It's a Gizmo you equip from the Gizmo Wheel during a match.
  • It spawns and marks a buried Sprite Chest that is guaranteed to hold a Sprite you haven't discovered yet, with a preview of which one (per the Fortnite Wiki).
  • You can't pick which missing Sprite it gives you.
  • Other players can reach the chest too, so use it somewhere quiet or after the early fights.

When to use them: save them until you've checked your collection. Normal extractions this week will fill some gaps by themselves. Use the Locators on whatever is still missing by Friday or Saturday. If you're still missing a Sprite type that a later day boosts, you're better off hunting it on that day and using the Locator on something rarer.

What do you get for logging in on Friday 30 October?

Epic says logging in on Friday adds "Fortnite Calaverita Sprays and an Emoticon" to your Locker. Calaverita is the Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) theme, and Friday's panel on the official art shows a "Catrina" spray.

Fortnite Catrina was Here and Picado Día de Muertos sprays, added to the game files in update v42.40

Epic didn't name the individual items. Three matching cosmetics were added to the game files with v42.40 on 15 October, according to fortnite-api.com records (Catrina, Picado): two sprays called Catrina was Here and Picado Spray, and an emoticon called Día de Muertos. Those are almost certainly Friday's rewards. They're free, so you don't need V-Bucks. Just log in on 30 October.

Friday also boosts Trick or Treat Sprites and adds Frantic Rebecca's Guns to the loot pool. Rebecca's Guns first came with the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collab in v42.20.

What happens on the Final Spritemare finale (Saturday 31 October)?

Saturday is the last full day of Override. Its boosts run until the season ends, and the exact cutoff depends on when the v43.00 downtime starts. According to Epic:

  • Hunter Scavenger, Spooky Sprinter and Prop Hunt are guaranteed in Override Consoles. These are Match Overrides. They change the rules for the whole lobby, not just you. Prop Hunt arrived with v42.10. Hunter Scavenger marks enemies (the v42.40 notes fixed its enemy-marking sound).
  • The Marker Bonerattler SMG "breaks into the loot pool". The Bonerattler SMG is the Fortnitemares weapon that, in Epic's words, can "reveal enemies through walls".
  • More Pumpkin Chests appear across the island. Pumpkin Chests have dropped Sprites all through Fortnitemares.

The official art labels Saturday "Boosted Variants All Day". That makes it the best day to hunt any variant you're missing. A few creators also expected free quests for Crown and Klombo variants, but those weren't in Epic's announcement. Treat them as unconfirmed until they appear in your Quests tab.

What happens to your Sprites when Override ends on 1 November?

Chapter 7 Season 4 ends on 1 November 2026 (ET), per Epic's Battle Pass page. Some sites list 31 October. The Treasure Hunters mini-season starts that day with update v43.00 (listed for 1 November in Epic's v42.40 known-issues thread), and the official Final Spritemare art puts it in the Sunday slot. Epic hasn't confirmed the hour of the downtime. GAMES.GG reports 4 AM ET.

Whether Override's Sprites stay in Battle Royale matches is not confirmed. Here's what we know:

  • Precedent: when Season 3 ended in August, Epic moved that season's Sprites into the Sprite Garden, onto the Collection page, and into styles for the Sprite Mastery Pod Back Bling and Guardian Outfit. They left Battle Royale matches. Epic also said "your Gizmos and Sprite Dust will reset when the season ends."
  • The mini-season: Epic's Treasure Hunters teaser appears to show Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto as Sprites, so outlets including FRVR expect the Sprite system to continue. Leakers have also shared a Miku and Teto duo Sprite. Neither tells you whether the current 27 Override Sprites carry over.

So plan as if a reset is coming. Spend your Sprite Dust and Gizmos before 1 November, because the Season 3 reset wiped both. Finish Mastery this week. If the Sprites stay, you've lost nothing. Our explainer Are Sprites leaving Fortnite? tracks this, and we'll update it once Epic posts the v43.00 notes. For what's confirmed about the new mini-season, see our Fortnite Treasure Hunters guide.

How should you plan your Final Spritemare week?

A simple plan, based on Epic's schedule: one prep day today, then the five event days.

  • Monday (today, Mastery Monday): check your Collection and write down which Sprites and variants you're missing. Spend spare Sprite Dust on re-summons now. You have double Dust income all week to refill it.
  • Tuesday: log in for Locator 1. Hunt Gold and Cheat Master variants. Grab the Overclocked 8-Bit Shotgun if you see one.
  • Wednesday: Locator 2. Loot Hacker Sprites. Pick up the Overpowered Shotgun for close fights near extractors.
  • Thursday: Locator 3. Bounty Hunter Sprites. Use the Balloon Popper AR.
  • Friday: Locator 4. Claim the Calaverita sprays and emoticon. Trick or Treat Sprites and Frantic Rebecca's Guns.
  • Saturday: Locator 5. Use your remaining Locators on the hardest gaps. Boosted variants, Pumpkin Chests, and the Bonerattler SMG to spot people camping extractors.

Two habits make the week go faster. First, extract often. Every extraction gives double Sprite XP and double Dust, and duplicates now level your collection copy. Second, 1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors drop from chests all week. Keep a 1-Up Token so a bad fight doesn't cost you the Sprites you're carrying, and use Portable Extractors so you don't have to run across the map to bank them.

If you're close to a full set, five free Locators plus boosted spawns are the best chance this season to finish it without trading Sprites with squadmates.

FAQ

When does the Fortnite Final Spritemare start and end? It starts on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 9 AM ET (13:00 UTC) and runs through Saturday 31 October. Chapter 7 Season 4 then ends on 1 November 2026 (ET), when the Treasure Hunters mini-season begins with v43.00.

Is the Final Spritemare double XP? It doubles Sprite XP and Sprite Dust every day, according to Epic. Those level the Sprites you have equipped. Epic didn't announce a Battle Pass or account XP boost.

How many Lucky Locators can I get in the Final Spritemare? Up to five, one per day from Tuesday to Saturday. Each comes from that day's login quest, so a missed day means a missed Locator.

Do you spawn with the exotic weapon each day? Epic's announcement says each exotic is added to the loot pool, not given at the start of the match. Expect to find the Overclocked 8-Bit Shotgun, Overpowered Shotgun, Balloon Popper Assault Rifle, Frantic Rebecca's Guns and Marker Bonerattler SMG in loot on their days.

What are the free Calaverita rewards on 30 October? Epic says logging in on Friday adds Calaverita Sprays and an Emoticon to your Locker. Files added in v42.40 point to the Catrina was Here and Picado sprays and a Día de Muertos emoticon. Epic hasn't named them individually.

Will my Sprites disappear after the Final Spritemare? Epic hasn't confirmed what happens to Override's Sprites on 1 November. Last season's Sprites moved to the Sprite Garden and Collection, and Gizmos and Sprite Dust reset. So spend both and finish Mastery before the season ends.
