GTA Online Doomsday Heist Payouts (2026): Up to GTA$2,474,550 Per Act, the Weekly Bonus & the GTA$3.75M Criminal Mastermind

The Doomsday Heist now pays on a two-tier system. Since Title Update 1.73 and the July 16, 2026 hotfix, the first clear of each act every week pays a boosted amount, and every repeat that week pays the standard figure. This guide gives you every current number for all three acts, what a duo actually takes home, the one-time Criminal Mastermind bonus, and the fastest way to bank Doomsday money every week.

Quick answer (TL;DR)

Act III: The Doomsday Scenario pays the most: GTA$2,474,550 on Hard for the first clear of the week, then GTA$2,025,000 on repeats. Act I pays GTA$1,340,381 / GTA$1,096,875 on Hard and Act II pays GTA$1,959,019 / GTA$1,603,125. One Hard clear of all three acts each week grosses GTA$5,773,950 before cuts. In a duo the host keeps up to 85%. Finish every mission in order on Hard with the same crew and no deaths and you also unlock Criminal Mastermind: GTA$750,000 for 2 players, GTA$1,750,000 for 3 or GTA$3,750,000 for 4. Payout figures are community-tested in-game results; Rockstar confirms the weekly-bonus mechanic, not the multipliers.

How much does each Doomsday Heist act pay in 2026?

These are crew totals before cuts. Hard pays 25% more than Normal. Rockstar's support page puts it this way: "Completing missions on Hard will increase the base payout by 25%." (Rockstar Support)

Figures from completed in-game runs, cross-checked between GTA BOOM and GTA Boss. Rockstar does not publish the multipliers.

Three things stand out:

  • The repeat values are exactly 90% of Rockstar's old list prices. Before 1.73, Rockstar's support page listed GTA$975,000 / GTA$1,425,000 / GTA$1,800,000 on Normal (Rockstar Support). Every current repeat figure is that number minus 10%.
  • The weekly first clear pays roughly 1.22x the repeat value. That puts it about 10% above the old pre-1.73 price for that act (Act III Hard: GTA$2,474,550 now vs GTA$2,250,000 then).
  • Act III is worth the most per run, but it is also the longest. It has 12 jobs, the most of any act (more on time below).

How does the Doomsday weekly completion bonus work?

Title Update 1.73 (July 14, 2026) moved most legacy heists onto a weekly system. Rockstar's patch notes say it verbatim:

"The following Contact Missions and Heists now have a weekly completion bonus, increasing GTA$ rewards for all players if the host has not yet completed the associated Finale in the current weekly period. Subsequent GTA$ rewards will be reduced if the host completes the same activity again in the current weekly period."

— Rockstar Support, GTAV Title Update 1.73 Notes

The same list names The Doomsday Heist Act 1 – The Data Breaches, Act 2 – The Bogdan Problem and Act 3 – The Doomsday Scenario as separate entries. In practice that means:

  • The bonus follows the host, not the crew. It pays if the host has not completed that act's finale yet this week, and everyone in the crew gets the higher payout. Rotate who hosts and a regular group can collect several boosted clears in one week.
  • Each act is its own entry. Rockstar lists each act's finale separately, so plan one boosted clear per act per host.
  • The week resets on Thursday alongside the regular GTA Online weekly update.

The first post-launch Doomsday numbers were wrong. Two days after 1.73, Rockstar's July 16 notes added: "Fixed an issue that resulted in incorrect payouts for repeated Doomsday Heist Act I, II, and III completions, which now reflect their originally intended values." If an older guide shows lower repeat figures, it is quoting the bugged pre-hotfix values.

This week (Oct 15–21, 2026): Doomsday has no extra 2X/3X multiplier. The Halloween boosts are on Slasher, the Halloween Survivals and Bail Office work. The weekly first-clear bonus still applies as normal. Our Halloween-week money methods breakdown covers what is boosted right now.

How much does each player actually take home?

The finale payout is split by the cut screen. Every crew member must get at least 15% (Rockstar Support), so the host can keep up to 85% in a duo. On r/GrandTheftAutoV, one player asking whether Doomsday works as a duo got the useful answer: the original apartment heists need four, but every Doomsday act runs with 2–4 players. That makes Doomsday one of the best duo heists in the game.

Duo on Hard, 85/15 split:

ActHost (first clear)Partner (first clear)Host (repeat)Partner (repeat)
Act IGTA$1,139,324GTA$201,057GTA$932,344GTA$164,531
Act IIGTA$1,665,166GTA$293,853GTA$1,362,656GTA$240,469

Weekly circuitGTA$4,907,858GTA$866,092GTA$4,016,250GTA$708,750

Rounded to the nearest dollar. Elite Challenge and setup-mission pay are on top of these numbers.

The 85/15 split helps the host, not the crew. Because the bonus is tied to the host, a duo can have both players host their own circuit in the same week. Each player then banks GTA$4,907,858 as host plus GTA$866,092 as partner, which is GTA$5,773,950 each. The cost is time: that means running all 29 jobs twice. With four players, the cut is split four ways. Four players only make sense if you are going for the GTA$3.75M Criminal Mastermind IV bonus (below).

The Avenger parked in a GTA Online Facility hangar, the base you need to start the Doomsday Heist

What do you need to start the Doomsday Heist?

  • A Facility. There are 9 locations sold on Maze Bank Foreclosures, priced from about GTA$1,250,000 (Paleto Bay) to GTA$2,950,000 (GTA Boss). All of them run the same heist, so buy the cheapest one in a location you like.
  • Register as a CEO/VIP or MC President. The planning screen stays greyed out until you do.
  • A GTA$25,000 setup fee per act. It was GTA$65,000–GTA$120,000 until The Criminal Enterprises update in 2022 (GTA Wiki). That is under 2.5% of any Hard finale. Some older guides still list the higher fee.
  • At least one other player. Preps can be done solo. Setups and finales need 2–4 players.

Don't buy your way through preps unless you have to. Prep equipment can be bought out, but the price rises with every purchase: Act I's three buy-outs cost GTA$465,750 in total, Act II's five cost GTA$675,000 and Act III's six cost GTA$857,250 (GTA Boss). Buying equipment also stops the host's progress on the Doomsday challenges. That kills All in Order and Criminal Mastermind for that run.

How long does each act take?

ActMissionsPrep + finale estimate (coordinated crew)Finale only
Act I: The Data Breaches3 preps, 3 setups, finale (7)90–125 min15–20 min
Act II: The Bogdan Problem5 preps, 4 setups, finale (10)110–150 min20–30 min
Act III: The Doomsday Scenario6 preps, 5 setups, finale (12)165–240 min45–60 min

Time ranges from GTA BOOM's heist payout list; mission counts from GTA Boss.

That is 29 jobs and roughly 6–8.5 hours for one full circuit. Act III pays the most per run but takes about twice as long as Act I.

The Avenger, the Act II aircraft, flying over Los Santos at dusk

Which Doomsday act pays the most per hour?

Here is the Hard first clear divided by the midpoint of each act's prep-plus-finale estimate:

  • Act I: GTA$1,340,381 ÷ ~1.8 h ≈ GTA$745K/hour gross
  • Act II: GTA$1,959,019 ÷ ~2.2 h ≈ GTA$890K/hour gross
  • Act III: GTA$2,474,550 ÷ ~3.4 h ≈ GTA$730K/hour gross

Act II comes out ahead because its finale (the submarine assault with Avenger support) is short compared with its payout. Acts I and III are almost level, so the gap is small. Pick acts by crew availability, not by small differences in GTA$/hour. On repeat runs every act drops by about 18%. Doomsday is a once-per-week-per-host money method, not something to loop all week. If you want the bigger picture, our best GTA Online heists ranked compares Doomsday with Cayo Perico, the Casino and the Kortz Center.

The TM-02 Khanjali railgun tank, the safer vehicle pick for the Act III finale

Barrage or Khanjali in Act III?

At Grapeseed the finale makes you pick one vehicle. GTA Boss's Act III payout breakdown lists GTA$100,000 for the Barrage and GTA$50,000 for the Khanjali, credited to the heist leader. The Khanjali is the safer choice because its railgun deletes the Juggernauts in the tunnel. On a Criminal Mastermind or Elite attempt, survival is worth more than GTA$50K, so take the tank.

What are the Doomsday Criminal Mastermind and other one-time bonuses?

All of these come straight from Rockstar's Doomsday completion awards page. Each one can be earned once per player:

A four-player crew gathered around the Facility planning table, the team size Criminal Mastermind IV requires

The maximum one-time haul for a four-player crew is All in Order II (GTA$500,000) + Loyalty IV (GTA$375,000) + Criminal Mastermind IV (GTA$3,750,000) = GTA$4,625,000, on top of the finale payouts. A duo tops out at GTA$1,325,000 in one-time awards. That is the trade-off: four players earn smaller weekly cuts but a much bigger one-off bonus.

Rules that break Criminal Mastermind runs:

  • Hard on every setup and finale. The default is Normal, so check it every time.
  • The same crew for all 29 jobs. Swap one person and the award is gone.
  • No deaths in setups or finales. Deaths in freemode preps don't count.
  • No buy-outs. Buying prep equipment stops challenge progress.

Doomsday's Criminal Mastermind is a different award from the original apartment-heist version, which pays a flat GTA$10,000,000. We cover that one in our Criminal Mastermind GTA$10M guide.

What are the Doomsday Elite Challenges?

Each finale has a repeatable GTA$50,000 Elite Challenge. Rockstar's support page lists them as:

  • The Data Breaches: under 05:30, crew kills 78 enemies, nobody dies.
  • The Bogdan Problem: the Avenger takes less than 5% damage, under 15 minutes, nobody dies.
  • The Doomsday Scenario: under 30 minutes, 150 headshot kills, nobody dies, no failed hacks.

The GTA Wiki lists the same Act I and Act II conditions. Quick Restart and Trip Skip forfeit the Elite bonus on every act.

Is the Doomsday Heist worth it in 2026?

Yes, as one boosted clear per act per week. It isn't worth grinding on repeats. Doomsday's strengths:

  • Duo-friendly: 2 players can run everything. The original heists need 4.
  • Big weekly ceiling: GTA$5.77M gross for one Hard circuit, and up to GTA$4.9M to a duo host.
  • A one-time jackpot: up to GTA$3.75M for Criminal Mastermind IV.

Its weakness is time. About 6–8.5 hours for 29 jobs is a lot of play for GTA$5.8M, and repeats drop by about 18%. A better weekly plan is one boosted Doomsday act alongside the other bonus-eligible finales, rather than three Doomsday circuits.
