How to Get CDK in Blox Fruits: Yama, Tushita & All 6 Trials

The Cursed Dual Katana is one of the longest item chases in the Third Sea of Blox Fruits, and the game itself warns you about it: "Forged in the fires of both heaven and hell. Beware, for those who wield it risk being consumed by its curse." It's also the chase that sends the most players to Reddit for help. Between October 15 and October 30, r/bloxfruits alone had players stuck on rip_indra, the Cake Queen timer, the Soul Reaper and Hallow Essence.

This guide covers the whole route in order: what you need, how to get both swords, all six scroll trials, the final boss and the fixes for trials that refuse to complete.

Quick answer: To get CDK in Blox Fruits, reach Lv. 2200 in the Third Sea, then get Yama and Tushita to 350 mastery each. Talk to the Crypt Master behind the Mansion on Floating Turtle and finish all 6 scroll trials, 3 for each sword, to collect 6 Alucard Fragments. Use the pedestal to reveal the Cursed Skeleton Boss. You don't even have to beat it: dying or resetting during the fight still gives you the sword.

All steps were checked on October 31, 2026 against the Cursed Dual Katana Puzzle wiki page (last edited October 6) and the linked Yama, Tushita and boss pages. The live game was last updated October 22, 2026, per the Roblox Games API, and Update 30 (Magnet) is the last numbered update on the wiki. Blox Fruits had 330,521 players online at our 13:35 UTC check.

What do you need before starting the CDK puzzle?

You need Lv. 2200 plus both swords at 350 mastery before the scrolls will work. If you're short, the scroll only says "The inscription is too hard to read...", per the wiki.

RequirementTargetWhere it comes from
LevelLv. 2200+Third Sea questing
YamaOwned, 350 masteryElite quests, then the Secret Temple
TushitaOwned, 350 masteryrip_indra gate, torches, Longma (Lv. 2000 to start)
Trials6 of 6Yama and Tushita scrolls in the Crypt

The Tushita gate opens at Lv. 2000, so you can collect both swords before you hit Lv. 2200. Our Level 3000 guide covers the quickest way through that stretch.

How do you get Yama in Blox Fruits?

Yama sits in the ground inside the Secret Temple on Hydra Island, and it only comes out for players who have done enough hunting.

  • Take quests from the Elite Hunter in front of the palace at the Castle on the Sea. Player Hunter quests count too, and you can mix them.
  • After 20 quests you have a random chance to pull Yama. At 30 quests it's guaranteed, per the Yama puzzle page.
  • Go behind the Hydra Island waterfall and break the gate with a destructible move, such as Godhuman [X], or use Flash Step.
  • Beat the five Ghosts, then click the sword four times with nothing in your hands.

Don't try too early. If you don't qualify, the sword says "The sword has rejected you! You're not worthy." and kills you.

Plan your time around the spawn. The wiki's estimate for all 30 quests is about 1 hour 30 minutes with a strong setup, and it strongly recommends server hopping. That's because an Elite Pirate only respawns about every nine minutes. Stay on one server and the respawn alone adds up to roughly 4.5 hours for 30 quests.

How do you get Tushita in Blox Fruits?

Tushita is the harder sword to set up, because the door only opens while rip_indra True Form is alive. It doesn't matter who summoned the boss, so some players ask strangers for help with this step.

Step 1: get rip_indra spawned. Summoning takes a God's Chalice on the pedestal at the Castle on the Sea, after three buttons are pressed with the Snow White, Pure Red and Winter Sky aura colors. Chalices come from Elite Pirates, the Gravestone and chests. rip_indra despawns after about 10 to 15 minutes, so be ready first.

Step 2: open the gate. At Lv. 2000+, enter the same waterfall temple and kill the Ghosts. The waterfall second to the right from the entrance fades and opens a passage to a large gate. Walk the route before anyone summons rip_indra so you aren't learning it on a timer.

Step 3: light the torches. The gate sends you to Floating Turtle with a Holy Torch and 5 minutes on the clock. Light all five torches in order, per the Tushita puzzle page:

  • Inside the arches of the bridge near where you start.
  • Behind the tree on the arch of the broken bridge, next to the Beautiful Pirate.
  • In the top pineapple house above the giant leaf, near the Jungle Pirates.
  • On the shipwreck near the Mythological Pirates.
  • On the house near the Forest Pirates.

The wiki marks this map as old, so use it for the rough layout and check a current video for the final approach. The fog from rip_indra makes everything harder to spot, and the wiki suggests timing the start so he dies soon after you enter.

Step 4: beat Longma. A door near the Fishman Captains and Raiders opens with the message "Well done. You may enter my hideout now." Longma is Lv. 2000 with 80,000 HP. Land the killing blow. The Longma page also says you need over 50% of the damage and that he heals fast when left alone, so keep help light and keep hitting.

How do you get Yama and Tushita to 350 mastery?

Use them on everything. Both swords unlock [Z] at 150 mastery and [X] at 300, so your kit is complete before you hit the target.

Yama's [Z] has heavy knockback, which pushes mobs away and slows farming, so the wiki says to avoid it when farming Bones. Tushita hits harder than Yama and is rated a good grinding sword, though it dashes on the fourth click, which the wiki counts against it. Our grinding tier list covers which fruits pair best with sword farming.

Where do you start the CDK puzzle?

Go to Floating Turtle and find the Crypt Master beside the tall stone building on the hill behind the Mansion. Agree to enter and the door opens around the corner of that building. Inside are two scrolls, and you must hold the matching sword to use each one.

You can only run one trial at a time. Finished trials save across servers, but progress inside a trial doesn't, so leaving halfway through Haze of Misery wipes that trial. Each completed trial gives 1 Alucard Fragment. The wiki also recommends a private server, because other players can ruin several of these trials.

How do you complete the Yama trials?

Pain and Suffering is the easy one. Hold Yama and let any enemy hit you until you've taken 8,000–10,000 damage. If nothing happens, repeat it.

Haze of Misery is widely called the hardest trial. The screen fogs over and purple marks appear on some NPC groups across the Third Sea, visible through walls.

Haze of Misery in Blox Fruits, with thick blue fog and marked NPCs in the distance while a player holds Yama

Here's the wiki's route: Port Town, Hydra Island (including the Secret Temple), Great Tree, Floating Turtle, Haunted Castle, then Sea of Treats. Three rules matter:

  • Clear every group on an island before moving on. One clean group doesn't mean the island is clear.
  • Skip Tiki Outpost and Submerged Island. Their NPCs are never marked.
  • If nothing counts after you've cleared the marks, recheck the islands or defeat every NPC. The wiki lists this as a known bug.

Portal is the wiki's top pick for this trial, since it moves you between islands faster than anything else. Buddha is its alternative if you already know the islands. Advanced Instinct also helps you find NPCs in the fog.

Fear the Reaper needs a Hallow Essence. Accept the trial first, because being defeated before accepting does nothing.

The Soul Reaper altar next to the Haunted Castle graveyard in Blox Fruits, with a player walking toward it

The Essence comes from two places, per the wiki: a 1% chance when you pray at the Gravestone, or the Death King's Random Surprise. That roll costs 50 Bones and is capped at 10 rolls per 2 hours. Possessed Mummies drop 4–7 Bones at 33%, so one roll takes about 27 kills on average, by our maths. Team up, and pray at night whenever the Gravestone is off cooldown.

Walk onto the blue-flame altar with the Essence and the Soul Reaper spawns in a room of the castle, reached through a backdoor. It stays for 15 minutes. Let it kill you and you land in the Hell Dimension. Light three torches, beat the NPCs and Hell's Messenger, then take the gate back to the scrolls. Interact with the scroll again to burn it.

How do you complete the Tushita trials?

These are easier, but the last one has a real damage check.

Docks Legend: Talk to three Boat Dealers or Luxury Boat Dealers on three different islands. Open the last page of boats and pick "Pardon me". Buying a boat doesn't count. Floating Turtle, Hydra Island and the Castle on the Sea are enough, and the portals reach all three once defeating rip_indra has unlocked them.

Sense of Duty: Defeat a pirate during a Pirate Raid at the Castle on the Sea. Raids run about every 1 hour 15 minutes. The puzzle page says one kill is enough, but the raid page says the trial completes once every pirate is down, so stay until the raid ends.

Soulless: Land one hit on the Cake Queen at Ice Cream Land and a two-minute song starts. She has 260,875 HP, which works out to about 2,174 damage per second to solo her in time. Most players shouldn't try. One r/bloxfruits player put it simply: "when fighting cake queen do it with someone else cause it may be hard for u to kill her in 2 min alone." The wiki suggests having helpers bring her low so you land the final hit.

Beat her in time and you go to the Heaven Dimension. Light the torches, defeat the NPCs and Heaven's Guardian, then take the door back and interact with the scroll to burn it. Save some health for it. The wiki notes that you can wait before lighting the torches to recover.

How do you beat the Cursed Skeleton Boss?

Once both scrolls have burned, use the pedestal. The message reads "The 6 shards of the mythical Alucard Gem react, forming the gem anew." A wall then opens on the Cursed Skeleton Boss (Lv. 2025, 160,000 HP).

Only Yama or Tushita can damage it. Anything else shows an immunity message, so fruit mains need to swap weapons.

Here's the shortcut: you don't need to win. The boss page says dying also gives you the sword, and the puzzle page says resetting through the Roblox menu works too. You respawn with the Cursed Dual Katana. If your screen goes black after the fight, rejoin. The wiki says the sword is kept.

Stuck on Haze of Misery or low on travel options? Portal is the wiki's top fruit for this trial, and it helps with the rest of the CDK route too.

Is CDK still worth getting?

Yes for grinders and collectors, with a caveat for PvP. The CDK page calls it one of the best grinding swords thanks to its high M1 damage, area coverage and lack of a forward dash, and says it pairs well with Buddha. It deals the fourth-highest damage per click of any sword, and its [X] Slayer of Goliath ignores Dragon's defense buff.

The caveat is that the wiki also says "many more recent weapons outshine it in most fields." All its moves can be Instinct-tricked, it offers no true stuns and it can't hit Blade users. Its [X] needs 375 mastery, the second-highest move requirement in the game. For fruit choices to pair it with, see our fruit tier list, and for the race side, our best race guide.

Does the Halloween event change the CDK route?

Possibly, for one step. The Blox Fruits Halloween event starts October 31, 2026 at 14:00 UTC, after our check. The wiki lists a past Halloween version of the Death King's Random Surprise that still includes Hallow Essence, but nothing confirms the 2026 pool yet. No CDK change has been announced. We'll update this page once the event has been verified in-game.

FAQ

What level do you need for CDK in Blox Fruits? Lv. 2200 for the scroll trials. Tushita's gate opens at Lv. 2000, so you can start on the swords earlier.

Can you get CDK without Yama or Tushita? No. You need to own both with 350+ mastery, and only those two swords can damage the final boss.

Why isn't the Soul Reaper sending me to the Hell Dimension? Accept Fear the Reaper first. If several players are fighting, only the first one defeated gets teleported.

Why didn't killing the Cake Queen teleport me? You must beat her before the two-minute song ends, and she respawns about every 30 minutes. One r/bloxfruits commenter also suggests confirming the scroll's other two trials are done first.

Does CDK trial progress save if you leave? Finished trials save across servers. Progress inside an unfinished trial doesn't.

Do you have to kill the Cursed Skeleton Boss? No. Dying to it or resetting during the fight still gives you the Cursed Dual Katana.
