MW4 Pre-Order Bonus Not Showing? Where Every Vault Edition & Pre-Order Item Unlocks (and How to Fix It)

Last checked October 22, 2026, against Activision's official MW4 Bonus Content tracker and MW4 Editions page. Modern Warfare 4 fully launches at midnight local time on October 23, 2026. Until then, only Campaign Early Access (from October 16) and DMZ Early Access (from October 20) are live for digital pre-orders, so several items below can't show up in MW4 yet.

TL;DR: why is my MW4 pre-order bonus not showing?

Most "missing" MW4 pre-order and Vault Edition items aren't missing. They're just early. Per Activision's official tracker, every MW4 pre-order and Vault item is granted automatically with "No code or redemption required". The Hunter Killer skin and Gilded Pearl camos show up in MW4 at launch (October 23), and the Vault Edition's BlackCell Battle Pass only appears once Season 01 goes live (November 6). The Vault operator packs and Signature Weapon Collection don't reach Warzone until Season 01. If something is still missing after launch, check four things in order: you bought a digital edition, you're on the same platform account you pre-ordered on, you've restarted the game, and your Activision account is linked to that platform. Then contact Activision Support.

• 0 codes to enter for any pre-order or Vault Edition item. All of them are automatic grants.
• October 23, 2027 is the redemption deadline for Hunter Killer and the Gilded Pearl pack in Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

When does each MW4 pre-order and Vault Edition item actually unlock?

This is the table to check before you assume something is bugged. It's built from Activision's Bonus Content tracker. The "where" column matters most, because several items show up in Black Ops 7 and Warzone first and in MW4 later.

The single most important footnote is this one, quoted from Activision's Editions page: the BlackCell COD Points, Battle Pass and tier skips "will be accessible in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 once the Season 1 Battle Pass is made available in game." Season 1 is scheduled for November 6 (full roadmap here). So if you're on day one or day two and your 1,100 COD Points aren't there, that's expected. It isn't a bug.

Why can't I see Hunter Killer or the Gilded Pearl camos in MW4 yet?

Hunter Killer and the Gilded Pearl pack work differently from everything else on the list. They're cross-title rewards, and they were designed to be used in Black Ops 7 and Warzone months before MW4 existed on your drive.

According to Activision, the Hunter Killer skin "will be instantly granted in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone and later in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 at launch after downloading the game." The same wording covers Moonlit Pearl and Gilded Ruin, which "will unlock instantly in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 at launch after downloading the game."

That gives you three practical consequences:

• During Early Access, MW4 may not show them. Campaign and DMZ Early Access are live, but the "at launch" grant is tied to the October 23 release. If you're checking before your local midnight on October 23, wait for the full unlock.
• Download the full game, not just the Early Access slice. Activision's wording is "after downloading the game." It doesn't spell out which content packs count, but if you only pulled the campaign or DMZ packs, installing the multiplayer side is a sensible first step, since that's where you'd normally equip these items. • Gilded Ruin is earned, not granted, in BO7. Moonlit Pearl unlocks instantly, but Gilded Ruin needs 5,000 Skulls from a BO7/Warzone challenge. Each Warzone player elimination is worth 30 Skulls, a Multiplayer kill 10, an Endgame kill 5 and a Zombies kill 1. The first 100,000 players got a serialized variant. Activision says both camos unlock in MW4 at launch. If Gilded Ruin is the one that's missing, check the official wording against the serialized Gilded Ruin breakdown before you open a ticket.

There's also a redemption clause many players skim past. Footnote 1 on the tracker says BO7 or Warzone "on preorder or prepurchase platform [is] required to redeem Hunter Killer Operator Skin and Gilded Pearl Weapon Camo Pack ... Must be redeemed by October 23, 2027." In plain English, the cross-title version of these items is tied to the platform where you placed the pre-order. Why is my Inner Circuit M4 blueprint missing?

The Inner Circuit M4 is the one pre-order item that is MW4-only. It never appeared in BO7 or Warzone, so you won't find it there. Activision's line is that pre-ordering a digital edition unlocks it "for use in Modern Warfare 4 at launch," again with no code required.

The most common confusion here is the look, not the unlock. Per the official Editions page:

• On Xbox Series X/S the blueprint has a translucent OG Green treatment that other Xbox Series X/S players see.
• On all other platforms it shows a mil-spec treatment.

Activision states that "both versions are functionally identical," with the same M4 build, attachments and handling. So if you're on PS5 or PC and you were expecting the glowing green version from the trailer, you haven't lost anything. You have the mil-spec variant. Why are my Vault Edition operators and weapons not in Warzone?

This one generates a lot of "Vault Edition not working" threads, and the cause is timing again. All three Vault cosmetic bundles reach MW4 at launch but reach Warzone only from Season 01, according to Activision:

• Hostile Alliance Operator Pack: Price (two variants), Valeria (two variants), Ghost, Blix.
• Special Forces Operator Pack: COM SFT (France), KSK Amphibious (Germany), South Korean Special Forces, SAS (United Kingdom).
• Signature Weapon Collection: Kastov 762 "Voltspine", ISO Nightshade "La Sombra Venenosa", Rezi 12 "Shattered Code", Oris 8.6 "Volt Edge", and the Combat Knife "Sombra Besada".

The DMZ Deployment Bonus is the Vault perk that's easiest to overlook, because it isn't a cosmetic. Vault owners get one extra Active Duty slot plus a Deployment Kit with two Weapon Insurance Contracts, two Operator Rescue Beacons, two Fulton Drop Markers, two Medium Backpacks and two 2-Plate Carriers. Did I buy the right edition for the bonuses?

Before troubleshooting, rule out the edition. Activision's wording on every pre-order item is "any digital edition."

• Physical copies include "the full base game" on PS5 or Xbox Series X. Activision's pre-order bonus list is written for digital editions, so a disc copy shouldn't be expected to carry Hunter Killer, Gilded Pearl or the Inner Circuit M4.
• Physical copies cannot be upgraded to Vault. The Editions page is explicit: "Physical Editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 cannot be upgraded to the Vault Edition."
• Digital Standard owners can upgrade through the in-game store or the platform store for $30 (suggested retail price).
• Bought after launch? Pre-order items are tied to pre-orders. And for BlackCell, Activision says that "for players who purchase or upgrade after launch, the BlackCell Battle Pass will be granted at the start of the first new Season after your transaction."

How do I fix MW4 pre-order items that are still missing after launch?

If it's after your local midnight on October 23, you own a digital edition, and an item that should be there isn't, work through this list in order. Each step rules out one of the causes Activision's own pages point to.

• Fully restart the game. Activision's tracker gives this advice for code redemptions: "We recommend redeeming codes without the game running. Otherwise, you might need to restart the game to receive your items." The same restart logic is worth trying for automatic grants. Close MW4 completely, including COD HQ on PC, and relaunch.
• Confirm you're on the pre-order platform. Items are entitled to the platform account that bought the game. One player in r/CODWarzone asked this week whether they could buy MW4 on a second regional PSN account and keep their unlocks. The replies were blunt: separate store accounts are separate accounts, so purchases don't move between them. A second r/CallOfDuty thread made a related point about owning CoD on both Steam and the Xbox app, where you end up downloading every update twice. Play on the account that holds the purchase.
• Check your Activision account link. Log in at callofduty.com and confirm the platform you bought on is linked to the Activision ID you play on. A mismatched link is a common reason grants land on an account you aren't using.
• Make sure the game is fully installed. Remember the tracker's "after downloading the game" wording for launch items. On PC, check COD HQ for any MW4 packs that are still queued.
• Wait for the right date. BlackCell = Season 01 (November 6). Vault items in Warzone = Season 01. Call of Duty: Mobile's Shattered Relay = rolling delivery from October 30, completed by November 30.
• Check server status first. On launch day, entitlement services can lag behind matchmaking. Before you assume your account is bugged, check whether MW4 is down.
• Contact Activision Support at support.activision.com/mw4. For store-side problems, such as a missing loyalty discount, Activision tells players to "reach out to your platform's support" (Xbox, PlayStation, Blizzard or Steam).

What about Monster Energy, Xbox Store and CoD Mobile bonuses?

These are the promotional extras, and each one has its own delivery rules. That's why they get reported as "missing" so often.

• Monster Energy codes are the exception to the "no code" rule. You redeem them at callofduty.com/redeem. The first six redemptions add themed cosmetics, and every redemption grants 15-minute 2XP tokens, with a limit of one per person per day. Our Monster Energy rewards guide lists the items.
• Xbox Store pre-orders get a $5 Xbox gift card and a Dual 2XP pack (1 hour 2XP + 1 hour 2WXP). Activision says these codes "will be delivered within 35 days of launch" through the Xbox app, so not seeing them on day one is normal.
• Call of Duty: Mobile's Shattered Relay ICR-1 blueprint requires your CoD Mobile account to be linked to the same Activision account. You also have to log in to MW4 by November 15. Delivery runs October 30 to November 30, and missing-item claims close on December 31, 2026.
