Last checked October 30, 2026, against Activision's official Call of Duty Viewership Rewards support page, the MW4 launch post and the Season 1 announcement. Modern Warfare 4 launched October 23. Season 1 starts November 6.
Quick answer (TLDR): The MW4 launch Twitch Drops give you three free cosmetics for one hour of watching: an emblem at 20 minutes, a calling card at 45 minutes and the Going Dark charm at 60 minutes. The campaign closes Thursday, November 5 at 8:59 AM PT, so ignore trackers that show November 13. That later date belongs to a separate sub-only badge. If "MW4 CC - Deployment Ready" looks unfamiliar, it appears to be the same calling card most guides call Old Wounds. Drops not working? Check for an unlinked Activision account, a stream without the Drops Enabled tag, or a reward you earned but never claimed. Activision says claimed rewards can take up to 24 hours to appear in game, and missing ones can be restored for 14 days after the program ends.

What are the MW4 Twitch Drops, and how long do you have to watch?
There are three rewards in the campaign, which Twitch lists as Modern Warfare 4 Launch. Watch time adds up, so you don't need to do it in one sitting.
| Reward | Watch time | Name on Twitch trackers | Name in launch-day guides |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emblem | 20 minutes | MW4 Emblem - Point Man | Gilded Ghost |
| Calling card | 45 minutes | MW4 CC - Deployment Ready | Old Wounds |
| Weapon charm | 1 hour | MW4 Charm - Going Dark | Going Dark |
The whole set takes one hour in total, not 2 hours and 5 minutes. Each reward counts the same watch time toward its own target. TheGamer's guide adds one condition: claim each reward as it becomes available. All three are cosmetic, so none of them changes how a gun handles.
Why does Twitch say Deployment Ready instead of Old Wounds?
The names don't match across sources, and that's why people search for them. On launch day, TheGamer and Insider Gaming listed Gilded Ghost and Old Wounds. A launch-day video covered by MW4 Meta showed the same names in the list Twitch gives streamers. Today, trackers reading Twitch's campaign data, such as DropHunter and TwitchDrops.app, show Point Man and Deployment Ready.
These look like the same rewards under two labels, not a second set to farm:
- The watch times are identical: 20 minutes, 45 minutes and 1 hour.
- The third reward kept its name. Going Dark appears on both lists.
- The art matches. We compared the Twitch reward images with Activision's Watch and Earn graphic. The "Point Man" emblem is the same gold-ringed Ghost emblem, and the charm is the same charm.
We found no sign of a second launch campaign, so watching another hour shouldn't earn you anything extra. We also couldn't confirm which name your in-game menu will show. Activision hasn't explained the change. Look for the art, not the label.
When do MW4 Twitch Drops end: November 5 or November 13?
November 5. Trackers that say November 13 are combining two campaigns. DropHunter lists them separately: on October 30 it showed Modern Warfare 4 Launch with 5 days left and a separate Modern Warfare 4 Badge campaign with 13 days left. That badge needs 1 sub, not watch time, and it isn't one of the three cosmetics above.
TheGamer gives the end as 10:59 AM Central on November 5, and MW4 Meta gives 8:59 AM Pacific. Those are the same moment once US daylight saving ends on November 1. Activision's own posts don't publish the end date, so these times come from the Twitch campaign window.
| Time zone | Watching ends (November 5) |
|---|---|
| Pacific | 8:59 AM |
| Central | 10:59 AM |
| Eastern | 11:59 AM |
| UK (GMT) | 4:59 PM |
| Central Europe (CET) | 5:59 PM |
| Moscow (MSK) | 7:59 PM |
That's about 12 hours before Season 1 goes live at midnight ET on November 6. Don't count on a replacement: the Season 1 announcement doesn't mention Twitch Drops.
How do you get MW4 Twitch Drops, step by step?
- Link your accounts. Sign in to Twitch, then in the same browser sign in to your Activision account. In the Account Linking section, select Link with Twitch Account and follow the prompts. This Call of Duty page takes you straight to the same flow.
- Check your platform link. Activision requires your account to be connected to at least one gaming network: PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net or Steam.
- Open a drops-enabled stream. Use the MW4 category with the drops filter. Activision says eligible streams show a "Drops enabled!" callout.
- Watch while logged in. Your progress is in the Drops Inventory.
- Claim each reward. Twitch will notify you, but the claim is a separate step. Open the Inventory tab and select Claim.
- Restart the game. Rewards often won't appear while MW4 is running.
You don't need to play while you watch. Twitch tracks the watch time and Activision delivers the item to your linked account.
Why are my MW4 Twitch Drops not working?
Find your symptom below, and start with the first three rows.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Progress bar isn't moving | The stream isn't eligible | Switch to a live MW4 stream showing the Drops Enabled tag. Past broadcasts and clips don't count. |
| Watched for an hour, nothing in Inventory | Wrong Twitch account | Check the avatar on the page you're watching from. Phone and browser may be signed in to different accounts. |
| Twitch says to connect your accounts | Activision isn't linked | Link through Account Linking, then refresh the Inventory. |
| Bar is full but nothing happened | Reward isn't claimed | Open the Drops Inventory and select Claim. Drops don't claim themselves. |
| Progress looks frozen | The page hasn't refreshed | Leave the stream running and reload the Inventory after a few minutes. |
| Stream plays but never counts | Browser or extension issue | Turn off ad blockers for Twitch, hard refresh, try a private window, or use the Twitch mobile app. |
| Badge progress stays at zero | Badge needs a sub | Watch time won't move it. Only the emblem, card and charm are watch rewards. |
The browser and refresh fixes come from DropHunter's Twitch Drops guide, and they apply to any campaign. If a streamer switches games, that channel stops counting, so move to another MW4 stream.

Why are my claimed Twitch Drops not showing up in MW4?
Some guides say a few minutes. Activision's own wording is slower:
"Please allow up to 24 hours for your claimed rewards to appear in game." — Activision Support
Work through these in order:
- Wait out the 24 hours. If MW4 was open when you claimed, restart it, or reboot your console or PC.
- Log out of Twitch and back in. Activision lists this as a fix for rewards that don't show up.
- Check you're on the right Activision account. Activision warns you to sign in to the account that should receive the reward. A second account or a family console is the classic trap.
- Confirm the platform link. Without a linked PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net or Steam account, the reward has nowhere to land.
- Open a ticket. Activision says earned rewards that are missing "can be restored up to 14 days after the viewership program ends." That points to around November 19. Use Activision Support and have the Inventory showing the claim ready.
If your game itself won't connect, that's a different problem. See our fixes for MW4 stuck on connecting to online services and MW4 error codes.
Can you still claim MW4 Twitch Drops after the campaign ends?
Yes, but only for a short time, and only for rewards you've already earned. Activision says rewards must be claimed on the Twitch website "within 48 hours after the end of the applicable Campaign," which puts the cutoff around November 7. Watching stops counting on November 5.
Some trackers quote a shorter window, and the official rules link on Activision's page opens an older esports rules PDF rather than an MW4 one. So treat 48 hours as a backstop and claim right away.
What other free MW4 rewards end around the same time?
If you're already claiming free items, four more are worth a look. The first two come straight from Activision, and the Quest and blueprint details come from MW4 Meta's write-up.
- Bonus calling card for linking Discord. Link at callofduty.com/discord. Activision's launch post says players who linked during the Beta must re-link, and they also get 1 hour of Double XP and 1 hour of Double Weapon XP.
- Locked Down camo. It's a free universal camo for verifying your email. Our Locked Down guide has the steps.
- Park Holds the Line calling card. Accept the MW4 Quest in Discord and play for 15 minutes. It's listed as ending November 6 at 5 PM PT, and the code is redeemed at callofduty.com/redeem.
- Code Blurple Signal 50 blueprint. This one needs a full Discord Nitro subscription, and the deadline is August 6, 2027, so there's no rush.
The COD Next and Beta Twitch Drops have expired: Gas Ready, Rapple Repel, Ghost Helmet, Get Tactical, Clearing House and Action Ready. You can't earn them now. Our guide to free Double XP sources covers the rewards that help you level.
Is it worth watching an hour of Twitch for MW4 Drops?
Yes, if you want the cosmetics. An hour with the stream running costs you almost nothing, and these rewards are tied to a limited-time campaign. But they won't help you progress. There's no XP, no weapon levels and no camo progress here.
Real progress is still a grind. Gold takes 15 eliminations in a single Multiplayer match on top of everything before it, challenge rules trip people up, and some still don't track properly. Season 1 also adds new weapons and new maps on November 6, so the list gets longer.

FAQ
Do I need to own Modern Warfare 4 to earn Twitch Drops? You need an Activision account linked to Twitch and to a gaming network. The rewards are MW4 cosmetics, so you need the game to use them.
Is "MW4 CC - Deployment Ready" the same as Old Wounds? It appears to be. They share the 45-minute requirement and sit in the same calling card slot, and the emblem and charm art from Twitch matches Activision's graphic. Activision hasn't explained the two names.
Can I watch on my phone? The Twitch mobile app is a common workaround when a browser won't track progress. Stay logged in to the same Twitch account that's linked to Activision, and claim from the Inventory.
Why does a tracker say the MW4 Twitch Drops end November 13? That date belongs to the separate Modern Warfare 4 Badge campaign, which needs 1 sub. The emblem, calling card and charm campaign closes November 5.
What if I linked the wrong Call of Duty account? Activision tells you to sign in to the account you want rewards on, so sort out the link before you claim. If a reward already went to the wrong account, contact Activision Support.
Will Season 1 have Twitch Drops? Nothing is announced yet. The Season 1 announcement from October 28 doesn't mention them. Activision does say Call of Duty will "periodically run Twitch Drop promotions," so keep your accounts linked.
