Battlestate added a quietly lucrative new task in patch 1.1.5.0: Can't Drink Away Skill. It's a pure fetch quest — hand over five different Found-in-Raid loot items — but every single one is banned from the flea market, so you can't shortcut it with roubles at the trader. The payoff is worth the grind: up to 345,000 roubles, 30,000 EXP, and the exclusive Loui Peeton deluxe wallet, a 9-slot (3×3) money container that no other source gives you.
This guide covers exactly what the objectives are, where each item spawns, which maps to farm, and how to unlock the task — all fact-checked against the official Escape from Tarkov Wiki and the 1.1.5.0 patch notes. No invented numbers.
Quick answer — Can't Drink Away Skill (1.1.5.0): Unlocks after you complete Is This a Reference?. You must find in raid and hand over 10 Golden neck chains, 5 Golden rooster figurines, 5 Golden 1GPhone smartphones, 10 Simple wallets, and 5 WZ Wallets — 35 items total, all flea-market-banned. Reward: 30,000 EXP, 300,000 roubles (315k with Intelligence Center L1, 345k with L2), and 1× Loui Peeton deluxe wallet. Best farm maps are Streets of Tarkov and Interchange (dense jacket/drawer/safe loot).
Current build: Escape from Tarkov Season 1 ("Kord Breach"), live patch 1.1.5.0. Numbers below are the live task requirements as documented on the official Escape from Tarkov Wiki. Item spawns are RNG — the locations listed are the containers and maps with the best odds, not guaranteed drops.

How do you unlock Can't Drink Away Skill?
The task becomes available after you complete "Is This a Reference?", per the 1.1.5.0 patch notes. That means it sits deep in a task line rather than being handed to you early — you'll typically be mid-progression before it appears. Once it's unlocked, it's a standalone collect-and-return job with no time limit, so you can chip away at it while you run other tasks.
There is no character-level gate listed beyond completing the prerequisite quest, and it is not a Kappa-required task in the reworked Collector system — this is a bonus reward task, not part of your critical Kappa path. If your goal is the secure container, prioritize your Collector rework and Kappa requirements first; do this one for the roubles and the wallet.
What are all the Can't Drink Away Skill objectives?
You need to find in raid and hand over the following five items. Every item must be Found-in-Raid (the FIR checkmark) — items bought off another trader or dragged out of your stash without a FIR tag will not count.
| Objective | Quantity | Flea market |
|---|---|---|
| Golden neck chain | 10 | 🚫 Banned |
| Golden rooster figurine | 5 | 🚫 Banned |
| Golden 1GPhone smartphone | 5 | 🚫 Banned |
| Simple wallet | 10 | 🚫 Banned |
| WZ Wallet | 5 | 🚫 Banned |
| Total items | 35 | — |
Because all five are flea-banned, there's no "just buy them" option. This is exactly the kind of task that turns into a wall for busy players — 35 specific RNG loot drops is a lot of raids. If you'd rather skip the grind, our Tarkov quest & Kappa boost team can clear it for you.
Where do you find each item?
Here's the verified spawn breakdown for every objective item, straight from the official wiki entries. Focus your looting on the container types listed — those are where the game's loot tables actually place these items.
Golden neck chain (need 10)
The heaviest requirement at 10 pieces, and the classic "profitable jewelry" item. Spawns in:
- Safes
- Sport bags (duffle bags)
- Dead Scavs (loot their pockets and rig)
- Plastic suitcases
- Common fund stashes
- Ground caches and Buried barrel caches
- Jackets
If you're also chasing it elsewhere: 8 Golden neck chains are needed for the Scav Case, and the Huntsman Path – Trophy quest hands you 3 as a reward — so don't vendor spares.
Golden rooster figurine (need 5)
A golden rooster on an acrylic base with the engraved "ChickenPrism" logo. Same high-value loot pool:
- Safes
- Sport bags
- Common fund stashes, caches, and jackets
Note: 1 Golden rooster figurine is also needed for Hall of Fame Level 2 and 1 for the Scav Case, so if you're building your hideout displays, plan for the overlap.
Golden 1GPhone smartphone (need 5)
The gold "GPhone 1G Edition Orange Gold" with a small 1G logo on the back. You can only hold 10 in a raid inventory at once. Best spawns:
- Drawers
- Sport bags
- Jackets
- Dead Scavs
- Common fund stashes, ground/buried caches
- Pinewood Hotel room 215 (on the desk) on Streets
- The RB-BK and RB-PKPM bunker rooms on Reserve
1 Golden 1GPhone is also a Collector requirement, so bank a spare.
Simple wallet (need 10) and WZ Wallet (need 5)
Both are containers, not junk — they store money and are useful in their own right. As the official EFT Wiki puts it, the WZ Wallet is "same as any simple wallet, but fancier" — a "WillerZ" leather wallet giving 4 inventory slots in a 2×2 grid while only taking up 1 slot. Both are flea-banned, so raid-farming is the only route.
Wallets spawn in the usual civilian-loot spots:
- Jackets (the single best source — hit every jacket you pass)
- Drawers and dresser/nightstand furniture
- Pockets on dead Scavs and PMCs
- Sport bags and cash registers
Because wallets pull from ordinary jacket/drawer loot, the fastest way to stack them is a high-density civilian map where you can chain-loot dozens of jackets per raid.
Which maps are best to farm the items?
You want maps with dense jacket, drawer, and safe loot and enough real estate to loot uninterrupted. Ranked:
- Streets of Tarkov — the best all-round farm. Apartments, offices, and the Pinewood/Chekannaya hotels are wall-to-wall jackets, drawers, safes, and cash registers. Pinewood room 215 is a named 1GPhone spawn. See our Streets money guide for the loot routes.
- Interchange — the mall is a jacket-and-cash-register machine, and the utility rooms/offices hide safes. Great for wallets and 1GPhones. Our Interchange money guide maps the high-value stores.
- Reserve — the RB- bunker rooms hold safes and named 1GPhone spawns, and Scav bosses drop jewelry. Pair it with a Reserve map guide run.
- Shoreline — the resort's safes and drawers are reliable for golden items and wallets (Shoreline money guide).
Scav runs are your friend here. Since none of these items need to be killed for — they're pure loot — running your Scav on Streets or Interchange lets you farm jackets and drawers with free gear on a timer, then extract with the items already FIR.

How long does Can't Drink Away Skill take to finish?
There's no fixed answer — it's an RNG loot grind — but the math frames the commitment. You need 35 items across five types, and the highest-count items (10 Golden neck chains, 10 Simple wallets) are the bottleneck. On a jacket-and-drawer-heavy map like Streets or Interchange, a thorough looting run might turn up one to three qualifying items per raid if the RNG cooperates — and plenty of raids will produce none of the specific items you still need.
Realistically, budget 15–30+ raids if you're actively hunting the right containers, more if you die before extracting (remember: the item only counts once it leaves the raid with you, Found-in-Raid). That's the trap of this task — it's not hard, it's long, and every failed extract resets your haul. Two things shorten it:
- Run it alongside money tasks. You're already looting jackets, safes, and drawers on economy runs — flag every wallet and golden item instead of vendoring it, and the quest completes passively.
- Use Scav runs for free attempts. No gear risk, a fresh loot pool on a timer, and anything you extract is automatically FIR.
If you simply don't have 20–30 raids of looting time, that's the exact scenario a quest boost solves — the items are flea-banned, so there's no faster in-game route.
What is the reward, and is Can't Drink Away Skill worth it?
Here's the full reward package:
- +30,000 EXP
- 300,000 roubles — or 315,000 with Intelligence Center Level 1, or 345,000 with Intelligence Center Level 2
- 1× Loui Peeton deluxe wallet — a container that provides 9 inventory slots in a 3×3 grid while taking up only 1 slot itself
The Intelligence Center bonus is the reason to upgrade your hideout before you cash in: the same task pays 45,000 extra roubles at Intel Center Level 2. If you haven't built it yet, our hideout upgrade order guide shows where Intel Center sits in the priority list.
Is it worth it? For the roubles alone, yes — 300k+ for items you'd loot anyway on money runs is solid, and the golden items are chunky sells if you find extras. The Loui Peeton deluxe wallet is the real prize: it's a premium money container you can't get any other way, freeing up stash space permanently. The catch is the 35-item, all-FIR, all-flea-banned grind, which can drag across many raids of bad RNG. If time is the bottleneck, that's where a quest boost pays for itself.
Skip the 35-item grind? Every objective item is flea-banned — there's no roubles shortcut in-game. Our pros farm and hand them in for you.

FAQ
Can you buy the Can't Drink Away Skill items on the flea market? No. All five objective items — Golden neck chains, Golden rooster figurines, Golden 1GPhone smartphones, Simple wallets, and WZ Wallets — are banned from the flea market. They must be Found-in-Raid and personally extracted, which is why the task takes so many raids.
What is the best map to find the items fast? Streets of Tarkov and Interchange are the top farms because they're packed with jackets, drawers, safes, and cash registers. Streets also has a named Golden 1GPhone spawn in Pinewood Hotel room 215, and Reserve's RB-BK / RB-PKPM bunker rooms are reliable for 1GPhones.
Do you keep the Loui Peeton wallet after the task? Yes. The Loui Peeton deluxe wallet is a permanent reward item you keep in your stash. It's a money container that gives 9 slots in a 3×3 grid while taking up just 1 slot, and it's unobtainable from any other source — so it's the standout reason to finish the quest.
How do you unlock Can't Drink Away Skill? It unlocks after you complete the task Is This a Reference?. There's no separate level requirement listed, but you'll need to progress through that task line first before it appears.
Is Can't Drink Away Skill required for Kappa? No. Under the reworked Collector / Kappa system in Season 1, this is a bonus reward task, not a Kappa-required quest. Do it for the roubles and the wallet, not the container.
Should I upgrade Intelligence Center before handing in? If you can, yes. The task pays 300,000 roubles base, 315,000 with Intelligence Center Level 1, and 345,000 with Level 2 — a 45,000-rouble swing for turning the quest in after the upgrade.
