Reserve is still the densest military-loot map in Escape from Tarkov, and in Season 1 (Kord Breach, patch 1.1.0) it is one of the fastest places to print roubles per raid — if you run it like a route instead of wandering. This guide is the money version of our Reserve map guide: the exact loot loop, which RB keys actually pay for themselves, how much you can realistically clear per raid, and how to get out alive with the loot still in your bag.

Escape from Tarkov - Roubles
Get millions of Roubles in 10 minutes
Quick answer: the fastest roubles on Reserve
- The money loop: drop underground, hit RB-PSP2 (dense supply cage) → the Marked Room (RB-BK, Black Pawn) → sweep loose military loot → extract via D-2 (restore power first). A clean, survived loop commonly clears a few hundred thousand roubles, with a huge ceiling if the marked room rolls a Weapon Case or a keycard.
- Best single key: RB-BK — it opens the top loot room on the map. If you carry two, add RB-PSP2.
- Biggest payday: killing Glukhar and his six guards, then looting the marked room and their bodies.
- Season 1 note: there is no traditional wipe inside a season — your RB keys and stash carry through Kord Breach, so keys are a lasting investment, not a one-wipe gamble.
Reserve is a gear-fear map: high reward, but one bad bunker fight and your kit, keys and loot are gone. Below is how to tilt that math in your favour.
Why Reserve is the best rouble map in Season 1
Reserve — officially "a Federal State Reserve Agency base" per the Escape from Tarkov Wiki — is a closed military depot: a cramped above-ground complex (the White Pawn, Black Pawn and Black Bishop bunkers, the King, the barracks, the RZhD train station, hangars and the central dome) sitting on a sprawling underground bunker level. That density is the point. Where a map like Woods makes you walk, Reserve stacks locked supply rooms, a marked room and a six-guard boss on top of each other, so a good loop is short and rich.
Two things make it especially strong right now in Kord Breach:
- No mid-season wipe. Season 1 launched with patch 1.1.0.0 on August 3, 2026, and inside a season your progress and keys persist. Buying or farming an RB key on Reserve pays off across the whole season, not for a week.
- It's an elite Scav loot map. Scavs get several unconditional exits on Reserve, so it's one of the safest ways to farm military loot without risking your own kit — subject to the new Season 1 Fence reputation rules (more below).

Where is the best loot on Reserve?
The most reliable money run on Reserve is the underground bunker loop: hit the RB-key supply cages, swing through a marked room, and exit through a powered extract. Here's what each key spot is actually worth.
| Spot | Key needed | What it holds | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marked Room (Black Pawn) | RB-BK | The single best room on the map — loose weapons, jewelry, a Weapon Case, and even a Lab Red Keycard can roll here | ⭐⭐⭐ |
| Marked Room (security barracks) | RB-VO | Second marked room; same marked-room loot pool | ⭐⭐⭐ |
| Marked Room (underground, by command office) | RB-PKPM | Third marked room in the tunnel system; same loot pool | ⭐⭐ |
| NW underground caged storage | RB-PSP1 | Weapon attachments and modded guns | ⭐⭐ |
| SW underground cage | RB-PSP2 | Dense supply cage — medical, ration and technical spawns | ⭐⭐⭐ |
| D-2 server rooms | — (D-2 area) | Intelligence folders, electronics | ⭐⭐ |
| Loose military loot | none | Ammo boxes, weapon spawns, gear on Scav & guard bodies | ⭐⭐ |
The loose loot matters more than new players think — it fills in everything between the locked rooms, so you're earning the whole way through the loop, not just when a door opens.
The Marked Room: the highest ceiling in the game
The Marked Room in Black Pawn (opened with RB-BK) is the reason people run Reserve at all. It uses Tarkov's marked-room loot pool: most of the time it's loose weapons, valuables and cases, but on a lucky roll it produces the game's best items — a Weapon Case, a Tetriz, or a Lab. Red Keycard worth millions. That low-probability jackpot is exactly why it's the most camped room on the map. Never sprint in blind: it's a small, loud, high-traffic space and people wait there specifically to third-party looters.
One catch that shapes RB-BK's value: the key notably spawns in Shturman's stash on Woods (among other spots), not reliably on Reserve itself, so it carries a premium on the flea and from other players. That scarcity is part of why RB-BK holds its price all season.
Which RB keys are worth carrying?
You do not need the full RB set. Keys are an investment, and each one you carry is roubles you could lose if you die before you use it. The efficient answer:
- Run one key: make it RB-BK (the marked room).
- Run a kit: RB-BK + RB-PSP2 is the classic high-value pair — one premium room and one dense supply cage in a single underground loop.
- Skip the low-value RB doors unless you're doing a completionist or quest run; the time cost isn't worth the loose loot inside.
Treat keys as a cost of doing business, not a guarantee. If you keep dying in the bunker before you extract, re-farming the RB-BK spawn on Woods (or paying flea premium) can cost more than the room returns. When the variance stops being fun, buying Tarkov keys directly skips the Woods farm entirely — and buying Tarkov roubles skips the loop altogether.
How do you farm Glukhar for money?
Glukhar (Gluhar) is Reserve's boss, and killing him is often the biggest single payday on the map — but he is the hardest boss fight in Tarkov to solo. He does not travel alone: he spawns with six heavily armored, well-trained guards who push aggressively and lay down coordinated fire.
- Where he spawns: primarily Barracks 1 & 2, with the RZhD train station and the central dome among his patrol areas. He rotates, so confirm his location before you commit.
- How to fight him: bring good ammo and use the tight interiors to isolate the guards one or two at a time — pushing all seven in the open is suicide. His loot and his guards' gear (armor, weapons, rigs) routinely add hundreds of thousands of roubles on top of a marked-room run.
If you'd rather bank the boss kill and its loot without dying to the guard squad, a Customs raid / boss carry does the fight for you.

How do you extract with your loot?
This is the part that quietly kills Reserve profit: on Reserve, almost every PMC extract has a condition, while Scavs get several free ones. Loot you don't extract is worth zero, so plan your exit before you drop, not when you're bleeding out.
- D-2 (far north-west blast door) is the signature PMC exit. No key needed — but you must restore power: flip the power switch in the underground area beneath the Pawn/King/Bishop lot, then head to the blast door.
- Other PMC exits need a key, a specific item (Red Rebel + Paracord for the cliff descent), or a co-op condition.
- Scavs get multiple unconditional exits — one big reason Reserve is such a strong low-risk Scav loot map.

Scav Reserve runs in Season 1
Running Reserve as a Scav is the lowest-risk way to farm its military loot — you spawn with free gear, grab loose loot and RB-room spillover, and leave through an unconditional exit. In Kord Breach, BSG tightened the Scav economy around Fence reputation. The official 1.1.0.0 patch notes state the update "Added new loading screen banners explaining the Scav faction rules and Fence reputation" — a signal of how central Fence rep now is to Scav play. Keep your Fence rep healthy (don't kill Scavs as a Scav) so your cooldowns stay short and Reserve Scav runs stay a steady income stream. Full mechanics are in our Fence reputation guide.
How many roubles can you make per Reserve raid?
Honest answer: it depends entirely on spawns and whether you extract. There are no guaranteed fixed-value rooms on Reserve, so treat any number as a range, not a promise.
- A focused bunker loop (RB-PSP2 + RB-BK + loose military loot) commonly clears a few hundred thousand roubles when you survive.
- A marked-room jackpot (Weapon Case or a Red Keycard roll) can turn a single raid into millions.
- A Glukhar kill on top adds his loot plus six guards' worth of gear.
- A death anywhere in the loop is a net loss — kit, keys and loot gone.
Reserve rewards consistency over hero runs: survive six in ten raids with a steady bunker loop and it out-earns chasing the marked room every time and dying. Compare it against the free maps — our Streets money guide and Customs money guide cover the best no-key rouble runs if you'd rather not risk RB keys.

FAQ
What is the best loot room on Reserve? The Marked Room in Black Pawn, opened with the RB-BK key. It uses the marked-room loot pool, so it can drop loose weapons, jewelry and a Weapon Case — and on a rare roll, a Lab. Red Keycard worth millions. It's also the most camped room on the map, so clear it carefully. Reserve actually has three marked rooms — the other two open with RB-VO (security barracks) and RB-PKPM (underground, by the command office) — and they share the same loot pool.
Which RB key should I buy first for money? RB-BK, for the marked room. If you run a two-key kit, pair it with RB-PSP2 (the dense underground supply cage) for one efficient bunker loop. RB-BK's key notably spawns in Shturman's stash on Woods (among other spots), so it carries a flea premium.
How do I open the D-2 extract on Reserve? You don't need a key — you need power. Flip the power switch in the underground area beneath the Pawn/King/Bishop lot, then head to the D-2 blast door in the far north-west. It's the most reliable PMC exit on the map.
How much money can you make per Reserve raid? With a survived bunker loop (RB-PSP2 + RB-BK + loose loot), a few hundred thousand roubles is common; a marked-room jackpot or a Glukhar kill can push it into the millions. But there are no fixed-value rooms, so it's a range — and dying erases it.
Is Reserve good for making money as a Scav? Yes — it's one of the best Scav loot maps because Scavs get multiple unconditional extracts and free starting gear. In Season 1 (Kord Breach), keep your Fence reputation healthy so your Scav cooldowns stay short and the income stays steady.
Does my Reserve loot and keys carry through Season 1? Yes. There's no traditional mid-season wipe inside Kord Breach (patch 1.1.0), so RB keys and stashed loot persist across the season — which is why keys are a lasting investment rather than a one-week gamble.
