Quick answer: In World of Warcraft: Forever, PvP ranks have a weekly cap, so Rank 14 takes a fixed number of weeks no matter how much you play. Blizzard confirms the cap but hasn't published the week count. Third-party guides estimate Rank 14 opens in week 10 of a season at the earliest, at 24,750 Rank Points. Honor is a separate currency for gear. Timesaver's WoW Forever PvP rank boost starts from $96.52, with a guaranteed time of 7 days per rank, and Honor farming from 13.5 hours for 25,000 Honor.

The 2004 Rank 14 grind was famous for one reason: it rewarded whoever played the most hours that week, against everyone else on the realm. WoW Forever keeps the ranks and the rewards but throws out that ladder. This page covers what Blizzard has confirmed, what is still an estimate, how many weeks Rank 14 takes, and what a rank boost costs. For every service, see all WoW Forever prices.
This full loadout costs $326.46 on Timesaver and is delivered within 12 days — see all WoW Forever prices.

How does PvP progression work in WoW Forever?
Blizzard's article How PvP Progression in World of Warcraft: Forever Works (October 7, 2026) is the source for everything in this section. It says progression "has two parts: Honor and Rank Points."
| Honor | Rank Points | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A currency you spend | Progress that moves you up the 14 ranks |
| Earned from | Defeating players, completing battlegrounds, PvP quests | Battlegrounds and PvP quests |
| Holiday-week battlegrounds | Increased Honor | "an additional boost" |
| Spent on | Blue and epic PvP gear sets | Not spent; unlocks what you can buy |
| Limit | Not stated by Blizzard | "Ranks have a weekly cap" |
Two more details from Blizzard's article:
- Honor rates were evened out. Blizzard reviewed Honor gains so players don't feel "compelled to choose Alterac Valley solely for Honor efficiency."
- Each season has a journey. Weekly tasks grant Honor and Rank Points, and three tasks per season also grant a Legacy Point.
Blizzard's article doesn't say how long a season lasts or whether ranks reset at the end of one. Third-party guides say they do. Check the in-game PvP tab (Character Pane, then the Player vs. Player tab), which Blizzard says shows your rank, Rank Points and available rewards.
What does each rank unlock?
This is Blizzard's own list from the same article:
| Rank | Unlocks |
|---|---|
| 1 | Tabard |
| 2 | PvP Trinket |
| 3 | Cloaks |
| 4 | Necklace |
| 5 | Combat Potions |
| 6 | Tabard |
| 7 | Battle Standard |
| 8 | Epic Bracers / Epic Belt Upgrade Token |
| 9 | Epic Boots Upgrade Token |
| 10 | Epic Gloves Upgrade Token |
| 11 | Mounts |
| 12 | Epic Legs / Epic Shoulders Upgrade Token |
| 13 | Epic Chest / Epic Helm Upgrade Token |
| 14 | Epic Weapons |
The gear works in two steps. Honor buys a blue PvP set. The epic set "requires the blue piece plus an Emboldened Seal", and Emboldened Seals have rank requirements. So you need both: Honor for the blue piece, rank for the Seal. Blizzard also added new sets for specs that had none, such as healer, melee and caster sets for Shaman.
How many weeks does Rank 14 take?
Blizzard confirms a weekly cap but hasn't published the numbers behind it. The figures below come from third-party guides, read on Nov 3, 2026. They agree with each other, but treat them as estimates until you see them in game:
- Icy Veins: Rank 14 requires "a total of 24,750 Rank Points" (estimate).
- ConquestCapped: Rank 14 is reachable in "week 10 of a season at the earliest" (estimate).
- ForeverChanges: the cap counts everything earned since the season began, so a late starter can catch up (estimate).
If those are right, the answer to "how many weeks" is at least 10 weekly resets from the start of a season, however many hours you play. Extra hours in a week help only up to that week's cap. Missing a week costs you less than it did in 2004, because the cap is cumulative: you can catch up later, as long as you earn the points before the season ends.
What decides your real timeline is whether you hit the cap every week. Players who play a few evenings a week may fall short of it some weeks, and those weeks add up.
How much Honor do you need?
Blizzard hasn't published Honor prices for the PvP sets or a Honor cap in its article. Some third-party guides mention a cap of 25,000 Honor, but we haven't seen that in a Blizzard post, so treat it as unconfirmed. Plan on Honor as the slower, open-ended part: you keep earning it while your rank waits for the next weekly reset.

What does a WoW Forever rank boost cost?
Timesaver's WoW Forever PvP rank boost starts from $96.52 for the default configuration. Because ranks rise once per weekly cap, our guaranteed time is per rank: 7 days for each rank. Climbing several ranks takes several weekly resets, and no speed option can beat the cap.
Honor is farmed separately, with guaranteed times by amount:
| Honor farmed | Guaranteed time (Standard) |
|---|---|
| 25,000 Honor | 13.5 hours |
| 50,000 Honor | 1.125 days |
| 100,000 Honor | 2.25 days |
| 200,000 Honor | 4.5 days |
The price for your ranks, Honor amount and region is calculated in the configurator. A booster is assigned within 20 minutes, and if we miss a guaranteed time we refund 20% of the order.
Express and Super Express exist for PvP rank and are faster than Standard, mainly on Honor farming, since the rank cap itself can't be sped up. Times and prices for each are on all WoW Forever prices.
Rank boosts are played by hand, piloted by default with a dedicated IP address in your country, or self-play remote. Blizzard's rules prohibit paid boosting and account sharing, and that risk sits with the account owner. Read WoW Forever account safety first.
How do you plan a Rank 14 season?
- Reach 60 early. Battlegrounds at max level pay the most. Our 1 to 60 hours guide shows how long that takes.
- Hit the cap every week. The cap is the clock. A week under the cap is a week you need to make up.
- Use holiday weeks. Blizzard says highlighted battlegrounds pay more Honor and Rank Points during their holiday weeks.
- Do the seasonal journey. Its weekly tasks pay Honor and Rank Points, and three of them grant Legacy Points.
- Buy blue pieces as you go. Each epic upgrade needs the blue piece first.
Class matters too. Our PvP class tier list and the Darkspear Islands battleground guide cover the rest. Every service is on the WoW Forever hub.
Want the ranks without every evening in battlegrounds? WoW Forever PvP rank from $96.52, 7 days per rank, Honor farming from 13.5 hours for 25,000.
FAQ
Can I buy this loadout instead of farming it? Yes: this loadout costs $326.46 on Timesaver, and a Timesaver pro completes it by hand within 12 days. How handover works and what happens if something goes wrong: account safety.
How long does Rank 14 take in WoW Forever? Ranks have a weekly cap, so it takes a fixed number of weeks. Blizzard hasn't published the count; Icy Veins and ConquestCapped estimate week 10 of a season at the earliest, at 24,750 Rank Points.

What does Rank 14 give in WoW Forever? Epic Weapons, according to Blizzard's rank list. The title is High Warlord for the Horde and Grand Marshal for the Alliance.
Is there still a Rank 14 ladder against other players? Blizzard describes a weekly cap, not a ladder against other players. Third-party guides say there is no server ladder.
How much does a WoW Forever rank boost cost? Timesaver's PvP rank boost starts from $96.52. The guaranteed time is 7 days per rank, because ranks rise once per weekly cap.
Can a boost get me to Rank 14 faster than the cap? No. Nobody can beat the weekly cap. Express and Super Express speed up Honor farming, not the rank cap.
