Quick answer: Leveling 1 to 60 in World of Warcraft: Forever takes an estimated 100 to 180 hours of play, depending on your class, your route and how well you know the game. LFCarry's estimate is about 150 hours on a quest-led route, and Mythic Store's is roughly 100 to 180 hours. Blizzard hasn't published a figure. Dungeon spam won't shorten it, because Blizzard cut dungeon-quest bonus XP by 50% in the beta. If you'd rather skip it, Timesaver's WoW Forever power leveling starts from $208.99, with a guaranteed time of 12 days for 1 to 60.
Last verified: Nov 6, 2026.
Nobody had leveled a WoW Forever character past 30 before launch, because the beta was capped at level 30. Every 1 to 60 hour figure you see this week is therefore an estimate built on the Classic XP curve, beta measurements and the new quest density. Below are the published estimates by level range, each credited to its source, what Blizzard actually changed about XP, and what a boost costs and how long it takes, range by range. How many hours does each level range take?
The most detailed public breakdown is LFCarry's WoW Forever leveling speed guide. These are LFCarry's estimates, read on Nov 3, 2026, not measurements from the live game:
| Levels | Hours of play (estimate) | Hours from level 1 (estimate) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 10 | 6 | 6 |
| 10 to 20 | 14 | 20 |
| 20 to 30 | 22 | 42 |
| 30 to 40 | 28 | 70 |
| 40 to 50 | 36 | 106 |
| 50 to 60 | 44 | 150 |
Source: LFCarry, estimate. LFCarry itself says "Nobody has a measured Forever 1 to 60 yet" and plans to recheck in launch week.
The shape matters more than the totals. More than half of the hours sit in the 40s and 50s, where each level needs far more XP. Level 60 needs 4,084,700 XP in total, on the same curve as Classic, according to the same guide. So a character at 40 has used roughly 70 of the 150 hours and is not quite halfway.
A second public estimate, from Mythic Store (read on Nov 3, 2026), gives ranges by player type:
| Player type | Hours to 60 (estimate) |
|---|---|
| Veteran speed-leveler with a planned route | About 100 to 120 |
| Experienced player, efficient questing | About 120 to 170 |
| Returning player, relaxed pace | About 170 to 220 |
| First-time player learning the game | About 190 to 290 |
Players on Blizzard's own forums have been arguing the same question in the "How long should leveling from 1-60 take" thread, with no answer from Blizzard staff. Treat every number on this page as a planning figure.
Does your class change the time?
Yes, by a few days of play. LFCarry applies a class speed to its 150-hour route, again as an estimate:
| Class | Speed against the average | Hours from 1 to 60 (estimate) |
|---|---|---|
| Mage, Hunter | 8% faster | About 138 |
| Paladin, Shaman, Warlock, Rogue | Average | About 150 |
| Priest, Druid | 5% slower | About 158 |
| Warrior | 12% slower | About 168 |

How many weeks is that at your schedule?
Divide the hours by what you actually play. At 150 hours:
- 2 hours a night: about 75 days, so mid-January for a launch-night start.
- 3 hours a night: about 50 days, or 7 weeks, which matches LFCarry's own calendar.
- 5 hours a day: about 30 days, which lands right around the raid opening.
The date to plan around is December 9, 2026, when Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair open. That is 35 days after launch. At 3 hours a night, most players will reach 60 after the raids open, not before.
Why don't dungeons speed it up?
Because Blizzard changed dungeon XP during the beta, twice, in opposite directions. All of this is from Blizzard's own WoW Forever Beta Development Notes on the official forums:
- October 1: "Dungeon quests now reward 50% less extra experience beyond normal quest values." Only the bonus was cut, so a dungeon quest still pays more than an ordinary quest of the same level.
- October 8: XP from killing creatures in dungeons was "increased by approximately 20%", and a party-XP bug was fixed so that "only the individual's level matters."
- Unchanged: if a party member is "at a vastly higher level than the enemy being killed," nobody in the party gets XP.
Player measurements on Blizzard's EU forums put dungeon mob XP well below Classic even after the October 8 buff. The result: the first clear of a dungeon, with all its quests, is strong XP; repeat runs are weak. Our full breakdown is in WoW Forever dungeon leveling vs questing. The short version is that questing, plus one run of each dungeon with its quests, is the fastest route on the rules Blizzard tested.
That is also why nobody can promise a fast dungeon-spam route to 60. Forever has 1,000+ new quests for levels 1 to 60, which fill the old mid-30s and late-40s gaps where Classic players used to grind or farm dungeons.

What speeds up leveling without a boost?
- Rested XP. Log out in an inn or a city. LFCarry's guide says the bank grows by 5% of a level every 8 hours and caps at 1.5 levels, and it doubles mob XP until it runs out.
- Get every quest before you zone into a dungeon. A clear without quests is mostly the reduced mob XP.
- Group at the same level. Since October 8, a higher-level friend no longer lowers your XP, unless they are "vastly higher" than the enemy.
- Plan the route. Our WoW Forever leveling guide covers zones by level, and the camping guide covers campfire buffs.
What does a WoW Forever leveling boost cost and how long does it take?
Timesaver's WoW Forever power leveling starts from $208.99 for the default configuration. Every range has a guaranteed time, counted from the moment the booster has access to your character:
| Level range | Guaranteed time (Standard) |
|---|---|
| 1 to 20 | 1.5 days |
| 20 to 40 | 4 days |
| 40 to 60 | 8 days |
| 50 to 60 | 4.5 days |
| 1 to 60 | 12 days |
The price for your exact range, region and speed is calculated in the configurator on the product page. A booster is assigned within 20 minutes of the order. If we miss the guaranteed time, we refund 20% of the order.
Express and Super Express exist for leveling and are faster than Standard, at a higher price. The times and prices for each are listed on all WoW Forever prices.
How it's played. Piloted is the default: a booster plays your character by hand, signing in through a dedicated IP address in your country. There is also a self-play remote option. Blizzard's rules prohibit paid boosting and account sharing, and that risk sits with the account owner; read WoW Forever account safety before ordering.
Should you boost all of 1 to 60 or only part?
Use the hours table. If you enjoy the early zones, the 1 to 40 stretch is about 70 hours by LFCarry's estimate, and 40 to 60 is the other 80. Many players level the part they enjoy and hand off the 50s, where each level takes longest. The 50 to 60 row above exists for exactly that, at 4.5 days.
If raid day is the goal, work backwards from December 9. You also need pre-raid gear and, for Onyxia's Lair, the Drakefire Amulet. Our pre-raid BiS guide and Onyxia attunement guide cover the next steps, and every service is on the WoW Forever hub.
