Mercurial Drift is one of the thirteen mastery camos in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and it belongs to the Multiplayer set. Mercurial Drift is the first of Modern Warfare 4's three Multiplayer mastery camos and the most colour-shifting finish in the set. We unlock it on your account by hand — no cheats, no shared tools, no lobby exploits — and you watch the progress while we do it.

How to unlock Mercurial Drift in Modern Warfare 4

Camo mastery in Modern Warfare 4 is earned per weapon, not account-wide. Every weapon has a Camo Track that progresses across Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone. To reach Mercurial Drift you complete that weapon's Camo Track in Multiplayer, which unlocks the Multiplayer Mastery Camo Challenges. There are three mastery camos per mode plus the four-camo Prestige set, thirteen in total.

Activision has not published the individual challenge requirements yet. The camo names and artwork were confirmed at Call of Duty: NEXT, but the exact kill counts, headshot totals and weapon conditions behind Mercurial Drift have not been. We do not list numbers we cannot verify. The moment the requirements go live, this page is updated with the real route and the final price, and we confirm your order with you before anything is charged.

Multiplayer is the fastest of the three camo tracks to grind and the one most players start with, which also makes its mastery camos the most recognisable — everyone in the lobby knows what they cost.

What Mercurial Drift looks like

A liquid-metal finish that drifts from hot magenta into orange-gold along the length of the weapon. Mirror-polished, so it picks up map lighting and changes tone as you move.

Mercurial Drift is the cheapest way into MW4 mastery camo territory and the one that looks best on killcams, because the polish reacts to every light source on the map.
